Auto stop and start on click

I am trying to make a video that requires the observer to assess what is happening on screen and then progress when they have given it some thought. I need the video to stop (pause) on a very specific frame automatically, and then continue on click,. No specific time gap.
At the moment my best idea is to break it up into smaller clips, insert a pic of the final frame, and load them into Power Point .... surely not? I have the CCloud set so can use other software.

there are dvd's and blurays that do similar functions, using a combination of video and menu's. if you are wanting to play the video as a file on a computer, you are at the mercy of the program/application being used. some programs support chapter markers, but i dont know if any have an option to pause when reaching a chapter marker. i want to say adobe's flash could be used for this, building a flash video, but not certain.

Firefox4 on ubuntu, after awhile when I click on bookmarks and then move the cursor down to a bookmark, the list of bookmarks disappears. A stop and start of firefox4 fixes the problem but what is the long term fix?

I upgraded to 4 and I noticed that after 4 has been up for an hour or so I click on the bookmarks. I see my list of bookmarks below but when I move the cursor down to select one, the list disappears.
The only way I have found to fix this is to stop and start 4. I can then move the cursor down to select a bookmark. This problem has not occurred in previous versions.

No, I see the three areas at the bottom of the Bookmark area that you refer to, but that also highlights an issue. When I want to save a story to my Reading List and click on Share then "Add to Reading List" then go back to look at what is stored in the Reading List, my recently-saved item is not there.
I looked thru the History tab and the Reading List tab and have been in the Bookmark tab. But even when I Save a Bookmark, that newly-saved Bookmark does not show up in the Bookmark area.
But then again, the next day (and actually just in the last half-hour) all of the functionality came back. When I look at the Bookmarks, suddenly, again, all of the Bookmarks that are on my Safari browser on my iMac are now there, and I can now Save a Bookmark.
It keeps coming in and out and that is what is driving me a little nuts.

Central admin application pool is auto stopping and throwing 503 error
EventLog error: The Module DLL C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\webengine4.dll failed to load. The data is the error.
All the application pool are auto stopping and when we trying to open central admin getting 503 error.
If I start the app pool again it will auto stop.

couple of checks
1.check if the needed module is present in the system32\inetsrv folder. If it is absent then delete/comment the appropriate line in the
system32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config in the globalModules section. Perhaps you will have to delete some modules (that also won't be found and pointed by event viewer) from your IIS application pool.
2.
1) Open IIS.
2) Right click on your Application-Pool for the web application and select "Advanced Settings".
3) Set "Rapid-Fail Protection" -> "Enabled" to False.
If this is true, the Application pool is shut down if there are a specified number of worker process crashes within a specified time period. By default, an application pool is shutdown if there are 5 crashes within a 5 minutes interval.

Music skips and stops and starts

Hello, we have just got a nano to replace a 3rd gen iPod.
I have around 50 gigs of music on a lacie USB drive, and the music plays flawlessly from here in iTunes.
However once imported into the nano, there is distortion, jumps and clicks in the music and sometimes the song will just stop and start from the beginning.
Any ideas?

SSRS Report queries begin running slowly, have to stop and start report server to restore performance

We have had a production issue crop up twice now where reports begin running slowly seemingly at random.
When this happens we can see from running SQL Profiler that the report queries are taking an extremely long time to execute. The same queries when run directly in management studio run quickly.
Initially I suspected parameter sniffing, and tried using OPTION (RECOMPILE) in the reports, as well as clearing out the particular query from the plan cache and running the SQL in SSMS to try and get a better plan etc but no amount of jiggery pokery by
me could get the queries to run any faster.
The really weird thing - is that stopping and starting the report server via the reporting services configuration manager instantly cures the problem.
I'd really love to know - why this might be? Is it something to do with the report server closing and re-opening its connections to the database? That's the only sort of thing I can think of...any ideas? Anyone? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

In your scenario, usually we can monitor the execution log in Report Database. If you run below query, you can get the results how long the report takes to render (TimeRendering), how long to process the report(TimeProcessing) and how long to retrieve data
from Database(TimeData). You can check the starttime and endtime to know the total time for executing a report.
SELECT TOP1000 *FROM[ReportServer].[dbo].[ExecutionLog2]

In SQL Server Reporting Services, a job will be created by SQL Server Agent if any of the following processes is underway:
query execution on a remote or local database server
report processing
report rendering
To cancel a job that is running on the report server, we can cancel the job directly or reduce the report execution time-out value in the SQL Server Management Studio and then will stop query execution. Please refer to the steps below:
Open SQL Server Management Studio, and connect to "Reporting Services".
Under the Report Server node, right-click on the "Jobs" folder and select "Refresh". Then, right-click on "Jobs" again and click "Cancel All Jobs".
Right-click on the Report Server node and open the "Server Properties" dialog.
Click the "Execution" option, and set the "Limit report execution to the following number of seconds:" to a much smaller number. After this issue is resolved, this configuration should revert to the previous state.

Have to Stop and start "Apple Mobile Device EVERY time

I have an iPad and an iPod which I sync every morning through iTunes with Outlook. And each morning I must stop and start "Apple mobile device" in the Services to get iTunes to recognize my devices.
I have recently uninstalled iTunes,QuickTime, Bonjour.................................and reinstalled the latest version of iTunes and the latest versions for my iPad and iPod.
Nothing has changed. Any other advice.

Reboot ATV and router
Make sure DNS is set to auto
Ensure router is up to date, if on wifi try ethernet

Stop and start at same point?

I want to be able to stop and start at one point in a song.
As it is, when I press "play" from, for example, bar 3, then I hit stop at bar 6. I want to start again at bar 3, NOT bar 6. But for some reason Logic continues - like "scrolling" in ProTools.
I do not want to use my mouse to click back bar 3.
How do I stop / start at the same measure ?

hi glank .. you need to get into the use of Markers. This will easily solve your issue:
1 - Look up the Key Command for Create Marker at Playhead ( ie without Rounding)
2 - Look up KC for "Go to Next Marker" & "Go to Previous Marker".
3 - Place Playhead at measure 20. Press KC for "Create Marker without Rounding"
4 - Play for a few measures and stop whenever you want to.
5 - Now press the KC for "Go to previous marker" - with one stroke you are back at measure 20
6 - Press Play
If this is not quick and easy enough for you, I will eat my hat

Might be corrupted preferences (.plist)
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.image_Capture.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.image_Capture.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac and your scanner and try scanning an image.

Communication Channel Stop and Start

Hello everyone,
We are using XI along with MQ for queing messages to our 3rd party logistics. Due to some issues happened in the past, it is decided to stop and restart the MQ channels every weekend. Now the problem is, when the MQ is down, some of the XI communication channels will go down, and will not start automatically, when the MQ bounces back. Now this had created a manual activity every weekend to stop and start all communication channels.
Question is, is there any way we can schedule it as a job to stop and start the channels, at a specific time ?

It is possible in scheduling the messages in XI...
1. But before doing this make sure that at what time you want to be schedule ?
2. Is that time will be uniform for every week or else is it may varies ?
3. If Uniform please make schedule or else if it is varying note the difference between those timings I mean
     If your Messages are flowing for every Tuesday and also every Thursday...., etc..
4. You can schedule what ever may be the time it is suppose if those timings are varying weekly once a
     day but in that single day or next day if it was more than once..then better scheduling the
      communication channels to be start for and to be process for that particular 2 days and remaining days
      it wont work I mean stopping Cc
5. Now when come to process...in scheduling...
a) Click RWB>Component Monitoring>Communication Channel monitoiing
b) Right side u can check Availability TIme planning option click that..a seperate window will opens
    THere u can observe these options..
c) also u can see the log

In XI 3.O you can directly do scheduling there after selecting the radio button of any Comunication channel and there adjacent to Audit log u can see availability time plan other than rt side top corder..

Repair your QuickTime.
Control Panel > Programs n Features > highlight QuickTime and click CHANGE then REPAIR.

Videos stopping and starting every three to five seconds

I am having problems downloading videos from U Tube and msn. I can't even download videos from the Apple Site. The videos from U Tube stop and start every 3 to 5 seconds. They resume after 3 to 5 seconds. I have downloaded the latest version of QuickTime. I have gone into preferences-advanced and changed the transport setup to custom; set transport protocol to http and post to 80. I have also clicked on the streaming tab; set the speed to one lower than the ISP connection and move th enable instant on slider 2-3 bars from the left. What else can I try?

There is currently no official version of MSN Messenger for Mac that supports video, unfortunately-- you might try aMSN instead, but I haven't used it myself so can't comment on the video support:

However, the built-in camera works fine for me on Skype (and Yahoo last time I tried, which was a while ago), which suggests something else might be wrong somewhere...

dell xps 8500 running windows 8.1. Purchased march 2013. 8 gb ram 1 tera bit hd. Amd radeon video card 1 gb ram, video card was tested by dell twice. Refreshed the whole computer, reinstall everything fresh. All drivers Bios updated. Playing a game: zuma revenge, the action stops and starts randomly. This is the reason why i went thru a complete refresh. Problem still exists. help please.
