Auto Synch with MS Outlook XP

Hi,
Is there a way to auto synch Sun One Calendar with MS Outllok XP?
Thanks
Ronen

Have not done that !
However.... I think it should be possible.
Something to check maybe....
1.) The command to sync with outlook in my PC looks like this
"C:\Program Files\Sun ONE Synchronization\xtndpc.exe" /S /AN iPlanet /PN MSOl .But you still have to click "sync". Maybe it's a switch for that too. then run it with the "at" command.
2.) Create a macro like in the old recorder in earlier versions of windows. Then Scheedule the recorder with "at".
I think there are many programs that can record mouse clicks, and replay them.
I looks like you are trying to use outlook as a "fat" client against SunONE mail and calendar. I remember I read an article about things you can not do with this type of syncronization when you are not online.
I see the outlook part of SunONE syncronization only as a migration tool from outlook to SunONE mail/cal. I only use the PDA sync tools myself.
There are two new clients that will be released this year (If you can trust Sun and release dates).
* Ask Sun for the status of their upcoming Unified Client which is a nice webgui containing both mail and calendar in the same view.
* I have heard that Evolution for windows will be in the office suite with Staroffice. Todays it exists for linux www.ximian.com. Evolutions is a "fat" client that looks even better that Outlook.
The best of all for all windows freaks [ not me ;) ]...
Sun say that they are working on an add on to the SunONE mail/cal servers to support the MS outlook client directly against their servers. The MS Outlook client will think it talks to an MS exchange server.
Have'nt got a clue about release dates.
No more ideas at the moment

  • Error Code 0x82bc1095 trying to map folders in Address Book synching with MS Outlook 2003 SP3t

Help please. My BB Curve 8900 OS v5 has suddenly stopped synchronising with my MS Outlook 2003 SP3. It gets as far as address book then stops, giving error message " One or more configured folders is not availablr. Update mapping field and try again". Configuring my organiser, when I click on a tab I get another message saying "No available Message stores". I click on OK and get the tabbed page opern but the mapping folders field is empty and greyed out.
If I click on Map Fields, I get another error message "Error encountered. Error code 0x82bc1095"
No synchronisation takes place at all.
I am far from technically minded, say about one step above being a Luddite. Can anyone please advise me?

Thanks for your suggestion, but things have moved since then. I tried swapping my mapisvc by changing the extension to 'old' and running the repair, but this did not recreate a mapisvc.inf file, so I changed the extension back to inf. I also uninstalled Outlook Connector as other threads have suggested.
However another thread suggested resetting the organiser using the reset settings button.  I did this, but the DTM will not now let me set up synchronisation with my Outlook. Outlook is shown as an option, along with Yahoo and ASCII.
It just lets me go through the process but does not produce a tick in the appropriate box at the end.
I did tell it to synch with Yahoo to see if it would take and it does, but when I try to change it to Outlook it does not register the change (leaving it as Yahoo). I have to select 'none' to clear the tick.
You can probably tell that I'm useless at this sort of thing and I'm getting very frustrated with the whole thing. I've had numerous problems ever since I upgraded the device software. I think that if I ever get this working again, I will not do anything else.
Hope you can help an old duffer and thanks again for your input.

  • Curve 8900 does not synch with my Outlook

This is a new issue.  I have synched with my device before the most recent update came out for the DM.  When I try to synch the Organizer with Outlook 2010, I get a pop-up that states, "One or more configured folders is not available.  Update folder mapping and try again."  When I go in the configure tool, I can go through all the options (calendar, etc.) but Calendar is the only item that allows an "connection."  I go through the steps with Notes, Contacts, and Tasks but after clicking "Finish" the box remains unchecked and the steps were not saved.  "Synch" worked with applications and media.  How can I fix this?  Thanks!

    Hi lewdolan,
Try following this article to make sure your Outlook folders are mapped correctly in the Desktop Software for sync. http://bit.ly/fU99Po
If they are already configured correctly, try deleting your Intellisync folder and configuring sync again. http://bit.ly/fU99Po

  • Synching with different Outlook calendar

Hi.  I need to synch my 8310 with my boss' Outlook calendar.  Does anyone know if I can set it up to access my Outlook email but his Outlook calendar?  I have all necessary permissions but can't figure out how to tell the blackberry to do it.
    Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forums!
I this is a corporate phone (BES) set up by the IT department, they can help you set this up.
Are you and your boss connected on a server? You should then have the options for a shared calendar.
If this is the case you could synch with yours, and have your boss's schedule integrated with yours.
    Please let me know!

  • My iPhone 4S suddenly stopped synching with my Outlook after I downloaded latest updates. I get this message: iTunes unable to load provider data from Synch Services. Reconnect or try later. What to do?

My iPhone 4 suddenly stopped synching to my Outlook 2010. This may be a result of downloading the recent iPhone and iTunes updates. I get this message: "iTunes unable to load provider data from Sync Services. Reconnect or try later."  Another message tells me to delete the back up data on my computer as it is corrupted. I cannot locate this back up data. What should I do?

got that once a reboot and it was fine again

  • Auto Synch with music library?

    Three questions actually:
1)I have single directory containing all my songs: D:\Matt\My Documents\My Music. I've told iTunes this under iTunes Music Folder Location and it appears correctly there. BUT a secon persond also uses the PC and has their own music library under their name.
iTunes has included songs from this other directory and I don't know how or why - any suggestions?
    2) I'm always adding/removing re-tagging songs in this directory. How do I get iTunes to simply synch with whatver is there and ditch anything that's been removed?
    3) The dirctory had 10,000+ songs but iTunes only shows around 8,000 - any ideas why? ALL files are .mp3.
    Hoping someone can help

I'm guessing these both have the same answer. It sounds as though you are doing things with your music files outside of iTunes, such as adding or removing files and retagging them. iTunes has no folder watching function. If you add files to the directly and not to iTunes, it won't know they're there. If you changes tags using another program, iTunes may not see the changes. You can often force it to but selecting the track on which you made a change, selecting Get Info and then pressing the ok button in the resulting editing window. Seems easier to me to just change the tags in iTunes.
If you're doing all your file manipulation through iTunes, then you may need to dig a little deeper to find the problem.
    Best of luck.

  • IPHONE calendar won't synch with yahoo/outlook

as of yesterday I've noticed that when I add a new calendar listing on my iphone it won't sync with my yahoo-outlook calendar when I sync it. Did I inadvertently do something wrong. I'm a pc user

I suggest resetting the sync history on your PC.
Open iTunes and choose Edit -> Preferences. Select the Sync tab and choose to reset sync history.
With a Mac, I usually recommend restarting the computer after selecting reset sync history, so you might as well do the same.

  • Since 5.0.1 desktop upgrade, BBerry no longer synchs with outlook

I use Outlook 2007 on a Windows 7 PC for the calendar, contacts, memos.  I don't do email on the blackberry at all because my family runs its own email server on a UNIX machine we keep here at home and the Verizon Blackberry setup for the Curve 8330 doesn't play well with that arrangement.
For email I use Thunderbird connected to our own server via IMAP.
The BBerry was fine synching with the Outlook calendar, contacts, memos but sans email in previous desktop versions.  It would complain about lack of Outlook as the default email handler, but it would soldier on and do the synch.
NOW, apparently, if Outlook is not the default email handler, it cannot find anything to synch with and it just quits.
I would rather trash Outlook completely and find some other Calendar app than to use Outlook email as my default.  I moved to the BBerry from a Palm Treo.  I could dig that back out and just use the BBerry as a phone if I needed to (The Palm calendar app is better on the PDA, worse on the desktop).
For now, I think I'm going to have to uninstall the desktop 5.0.1 and reinstall the old 4.7 version until someone can tell me how to make the synch work again... (And in the forum I can see that I am not the only one having problems with this).

Well, I found something I can live with to make this work.
Using the 5.0.1 desktop... before I connect the Blackberry to synch, I set the Windows 7 default email to Outlook.  Then I synch the calendar.  Then I set the Windows email default back to Thunderbird.  That works.
I can live with this for awhile, but I would hope that eventually the desktop would allow you to synch even if you don't use Outlook email. *sigh*  I really don't need it to synch email at all... and with the amount of spam I'm filtering, trying to cope on the BBerry wouldn't be much fun anyway.

  • IPhone with Parallels: Does the synch with Outlook work?

I'm using Parallels 3.0 and plan on buying an iPhone. The most important feature is the synch with my Outlook in Windows XP. I'd rather use my docking station than buying further Exchange Server Stuff.
    Does the synch work reliable?

  • My iPad and iPhone do not automatically synch with MS Office 2010 Outlook

  • No Auto Synch

I have all of the latest software updates (system, iTunes, iPhone) but the iPhone will not auto synch with my Core 2 duo iMac. iTunes starts up when the phone is plugged in but there is no auto synch even though that option is checked in iTunes. I can synch by clicking the synch button in iTunes but it used to be automatic. I have turned off the iPhone to do a reboot but no change. Any ideas?

Found preferences that needed to be changed. Don't know how they were ever changed.........

  • I'm too old to learn iCal.  How do I tell iTunes to synch with Outlook for Mac for all of the Contacts and the Calendar on my iPhone and iPad??  Thanks

I'm too old to learn iCal.  How do I tell iTunes to synch with Outlook for Mac for all of the Contacts and the Calendar on my iPhone and iPad??
Also, once I figure out how to replace iCal with Outlook/Mac on iTunes, how do I synch the phone and pad so that the information on those devices over-writes onto Outlook as a backup, rather than having a blank Calendar on Outlook wipe out all of the information on the phone and pad???
    Thanks

If you haven't tried already, plug your devices into iTunes, and on each device next to the "Summary" tab at the top is another tab called "Info." Click that and scroll down to Contacts, Calendars, etc. There should be a pull down bar under each category for "Sync contacts from..." and you should be able to select from that pull down list Outlook.  Hit Apply at the bottom and see if that does it.

  • How can I get my iphone to synch with Outlook?  I do not want to use Icloud.

I am a realtor and have used Outlook for years, but am unable to get my iphone to synch with Outlook.  Does anyone have a solution?  I have been to the Apple store and have had more than one person working on it, to no avail.

Not sure what you've already tried, but sometimes you have to uninstall iTunes and all it's components as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925, then reinstall iTunes.  (This would be necessary if the Outlook plugin is missing or corrupt.)  You won't loose your iTunes library or media by doing this.
