Auto Transfering of Emails to SoD

I would like to keep an updated Cost of Funds document in SoD for Sales users to access. Currently I received .rtf files by email daily which contain the COF for the day. I have these auto-routed in Outlook to one folder.
I have created a Cost of Funds "Solution" in SoD where, previously, I was storing this document as an attachment there (in Word format)for users to access.
Is it possible, via webservices or any other SoD tool, to have SoD automatically attach this document in SoD when it arrives in my inbox?
If anyone has a better way to store such information, I would be open to that as well.

That's a great idea that I haven't thought of! However, when I tried to do it, there is no way to connect it to a Solution - just Contact, Account, Lead, and Opportunity.
Also, since it has to be done everyday, I was hoping that the a rule could automatically pull the email daily, rather than having manual prompting.
Any thoughts?

It sounds like you want to have the Mail app automatically reply to emails that come in. You can do this in the app itself, but in order for the function to work, Mail needs to be open. Take a look at this info from the following article:
Mail (Yosemite): Reply to, forward, or redirect messages
Automatically reply to or forward messages
Mail must be open before it can automatically forward or reply to messages. If you want to send automatic replies when Mail isn’t open—like when you’re on vacation—check with the provider of your email account.
Choose Mail > Preferences, then click Rules.
Click Add Rule, then type a name for the rule.
Indicate whether any or all of the conditions must be true for the rule to be applied.
Set the conditions that determine which messages to automatically reply to or forward.
Choose options from the “Perform the following actions” pop-up menu.
Forward messages: Choose Forward Message from the first pop-up menu, then enter the email addresses where you want to receive the forwarded messages. Click Message, then enter any text you want to include with the forwarded message. For example, you could explain that you’re automatically forwarding messages.
Reply to messages: Choose “Reply to Message” from the first pop-up menu, click “Reply message text,” then enter your reply. Mail includes the full text of the original message in your reply.
Click OK.
Carefully consider the rules you create. If they’re too broad, messages can be sent inadvertently or create loops (replies to replies you sent). If possible, test the rules.

How do I turn off auto text in emails?

Got a new BlackBerry Storm 2 9550. Works great except the auto text in emails drives me crazy. There are instructions for turning it off in text messages but I can't find anything about how to do that for emails.

Hi kja731, my name is Kymlyn and I am a representative with Verizon Wireless. I will be more than happy to assist you with making changes to your phone's settings. You will be able to disable all auto correction features for both text messaging as well as email by following these steps:
1.On the Home Screen or in a folder, select Options
2. Language and Text Input
3. Show Text Input Options
4. Uncheck Auto Correction
You may also have to disable the Auto Word Learning feature as well. Which can be done with the following steps:
1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Language.
3. Click Show Text Input Options.
4. Clear the Auto Word Learning check box.
5. Change the Learn Words From Email Messages field to Off.

Transferring specific email messages

We have two Intel Imacs with Snow Leopard. One has lost a large quantity of received email in one of the email accounts.
The second Imac has that missing received email.
I'd prefer not to forward the missing emails, because that would probably exceed our mail server's allowance and would be time-consuming to do.
Is there a way I could avoid forwarding hundreds of emails, by transferring those emails somehow? Bear in mind I know user library folders exist, but not the inner workings, so please keep your explanation simple, in other words, talk down to me.

I forgot to add that I have rebuilt all the mailboxes, re-indexed, done Disk Utility, Disk Warrior, Permissions Repair, and re-installed the system to see if the missing messages would reappear.

Can You still Auto CC an email address with Z10?

On all of my previous Blackberry's I would auto cc my email so that it would always show up on my desktop in Outlook, but I can't see how to do that on my Z10.

When sending email messages from iPhone,iMac, or iPad, email address automatically added to my contacts list on iPhone. How do I trace this down and stop this auto addition of email addresses to my contacts list?

I am not sure what generates the email address as a contact, be it the iPhone or iMac. I use iCloud to sync up my contacts/address book. This appears to happen when I am using Mac Mail on my iMac, but I have no clue where to begin to look to stop this auto addition. I have looked in Mail preferences on my iMac and in my iPhone settings, but have found nothing that "automatically add email address to contacts list".
Can anyone provide guidance? Web search has been fruitless ( I am guessing I am not using the right key words for my search).

HT4191 I have Notes that transferred to email when I set up a new email acct. They no longer appear in Notes. I can only access them in the email acct. How do I get them out of the email acct and back to the Notes app?

I have Notes that transferred to an Email acct when I set up the acct. The Notes no longer appear in the Notes app only in the Email acct. How do I get them out of the Email acct and back to Notes? I stopped at an Apple store and they told me to copy them from the email back to Notes. But when I was in the email acct, I could not find a way to copy them. Shouldn't Notes remain in Notes unless I specifically send them somewhere else?

Go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, select that email account on the right-hand side of the screen and turn Notes 'on' for it - they should then appear in the Notes app instead of as an email folder in the Mail app (they will still be linked to that email account, so you may need to tap the 'Accounts' button at at the top left of the list of notes)

Auto Downlaod of Email Attachments

Hi, I have set up a few email accounts using the email apps on my iPad 2 and they includes Yahoo!, Gmail, MS Exchange and my office MS Outlook.
I did a test today and realise that all the email account will ask for my permission before downloading the attachment by displaying the "Tap to Download" except for my MS outlook account.
May I know the reason why different settings appear here? I remember that I am able to select the size of the email to download previously but now i cannot.
Therefore, may I know if there is any way to prevent auto downloading of the email attachment?

I assumed this until I checked my usuage before going into the email with the attachment. The usuage indicates that the attachment has been downloaded.
e.g. I send an email with attachment from pc to my iphone. I go into inbox on the iphone and the little paperclip appears. At this stage I do not click on the message, instead I hit home>setting>general>usage; and the "received" data goes up the same size/amount of kb as the attachment, therefore I assume the attachment has been downloaded automatically.
On another note, I have read on some forums the "arrow" to download email attachments, once the email message is opened points down. My arrow points to the right. Is this normal?

Auto-complete on email?

auto-fill doesn't work when inserting addresses from my yahoo account so i need to switch email providers. what online server is best to use and allows you to use auto-fill/auto-complete? gmail doesn't allow this feature with safari either. thank you!

i think i am using the most current version of yahoo. i emailed them and they told me auto-complete isn't available for mac users so that is why i want to switch. do you know how you got yours to work? thanks!

Auto prefill of email address

I recently had a friend of mine change thier email address so I updated my contacts. However, I notice that when I starte to send them an email the auto prefill gives me the old and new address to choose from. Is there a way to make the old email go away forever?

The only way to get rid of that remembered email address when using the mail app - is to restore to factory settings. Unfortunately - Apple has made no provision to let the user delete those old email addresses.

AOL Desktop (PC) to AOL Desktop for Mac - Transferring Saved Emails

I just installed AOL Desktop for Mac and I'm trying to transfer my emails. There's no issue setting up the accounts and accessing my emails Saved on AOL, but I cannot access my emails Saved on my PC. The software doesn't have any feature to transfer these locally saved emails from PC to MAC.
The suggested solution is to forward all my saved emails to myself and save them on AOL. Then they'd be accessible on the mac. But I have thousands of emails so this isn't feasible.
Does anyone know how I might go about transfering my saved emails from AOL Desktop to AOL Desktop for Mac?

I too had the same problem. Here is the solution.
Go to System Preferences and select General.
Near the bottom of the window, deselect (uncheck) "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps."
Launch AOL Desktop, you'll still see the untitled windows. No problem. Now quit AOL and relaunch. No more untitled windows.

Auto-jumping to email account after 3.0?

After having installed 3.0, when I get a new email and open up the email app, it auto-jumps from the account list straight into one of my mail inboxes. I think it's trying to jump straight to the new mail message, but I've had it jump to empty accounts, too.
Questions:
Is this a new feature of 3.0, or is it a bug that only I'm experiencing? Assuming this was done on purpose, is there any way to disable it?

Hi Guys, i have worked out what it was, in exchange 2007 the active sync policy had require password un-ticked but had options selected for minimum password length, number of failed attempts etc ticked. Now these should not have been applying as the require password was unticked which blanks everything else out, so i ticked require password and cleared all the options then unticked require password again.
This has solved the problem and i have an active exchange mailbox synch with the never auto lock enabled.
