Auto Tune - customized feature (preset) request

The Auto Tune feature usually works quite good and is a real time saving feature. But on some sets of images the effect is too storng (for my taste). If we can have a 'preset' or ability to customize the strenth or effectiveness of the Atuo Tune (i.e. simlar to the FADE SHARPEN in Photoshop after applying the SHARPEN filter), it will be very helpful. This will be very helful especially when we are doing some batch develop with Auto Tune.

Effects similar to auto-tune in CS5.5?

Anyone know how I can apply effects similar to auto-tune in Audition CS5.5? I don't really want an effect as strong as most mainstream music, only to add a tiny bit of trance/robotic echo effect to my vocal tracks, similar to some parts in Pentatonix's Daft Punk track: [Official Video] Daft Punk - Pentatonix - YouTube.

A couple things to check:
- Make sure you've got the latest AME 7.0.1 update installed
- Try holding the Shift key down while launching AME to clear your prefs. If that doesn't work, try deleting these folders (NOTE: this will delete any user presets or custom workspaces you've created):
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\AME\7.0\
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\7.0\
- Try adding your Premiere project directly to AME's queue via drag-and-drop or by using File > Add Source. Do your sequences render correctly in this workflow?

Set up for custom encode preset in Compressor for ATV2

using compressor 3.0.5 i would like to set up a customer encode preset for atv2.
ver 3.0.5 of compressor was released prior to atv2 so i would guess the current preset is for atv1.

You have to add the Service Offerings and the Request Offerings in the Catalog Group. Nesting doesn't work because Service Offerings and Request Offerings are different types of objects.
This offers the option the manage the access to Service Offerings and Request Offerings very granular if needed. For instance you can control access to a Service Offering in one Catalog Group related to one user role (A) and use two additional Catalog Groups
with different Request Offerings related to other user roles (B) and (C). Result will lead to:
User in Role A and B -> Can see Service Offerings A containing Request Offerings B
User in Role A and C -> Can see Service Offerings A containing Request Offerings C
User in Role A, B and C -> Can see Service Offerings A containing Request Offerings B and C
User in Role A only -> Don's see anything because of the missing permission on any Request Offering. So the "empty" Service Request won't show up in the portal.

You need to assign a cost element in OKEP.. If you are using PS module. create a specific GL for the same.. Else, you can assign there any cost element

Premiere CS6 does not remember some settings when saving custom export presets.

When I save a custom export preset in the export window, some settings are not remembered, and I need to change them every time again and again! The settings so far I found to not be saved are:
Key frame every ... frames
Limit data rate to ...

When I create and save an a H.264 QT preset
using the Export Settings dialog from within Premiere,
it does not save the key frame interval or max bitrate.
However, when I create a H.264 QT preset from within
Media Encoder and save... the missing settings are saved
and can be recalled from within the Premiere Export Settings dialog.
EDIT:
Re-tested this a bit more, and now the kf interval & max bitrate are
being saved with the presets created in Premiere Export Settings dialog.

On page 1011 of the Final Cut Express User Manual, in the section "The Export QuickTime Movie Command", in the second paragraph, it suggests that there is a way to create a custom Sequence Preset. I quote:
"You can also choose to use the existing settings of the clip or sequence you are exporting, or create customized settings in a custom Sequence Preset Editor."
I desperately want to create a custom sequence preset. The last video I did for work I did at 1920 x 1080. The video is going on the companies site at 576 x 324. So I would rather just work in that size. But I cannot figure out how to create a sequence that size. Dose such a "Sequence Preset Editor" exist? And, where would I get one?
Any help offered here would be most graciously welcomed.

I don't really know what it means by that. However, in the paragraph before it it says:
+"You can use this command to export Final Cut Express clips or sequences with their current settings or any of the sequence settings available in Final Cut Express. This command allows you to choose settings based on sequence presets in Final Cut Express"+.
I can only assume that it means you can take the file into another program like Compressor to choose more settings instead. Or maybe it is referring to Quicktime Conversion, which gives you more options in exporting...
Maybe someone else will know, but for now I am puzzled.

How to activate Custom Feature in SharePoint 2010 using Client Object model

I am trying to Activate a custom feature using Client Object Model in SharePoint 2010. Here is the code I used. When I execute the code, I got the error "Feature with Id 'xx' is not installed in this farm, and cannot be added to this scope while
creating site collection". Can anyone help?

When you activate a feature on the site collection, the feature should be scoped to site or farm, the error message shows it cannot find the specific feature, this will happen when you have a feature in web
scope or the feature isn’t installed.
So, to troubleshooting this issue:
Verify whether the feature is scoped to web. Please go to
Site Setting->Site Features . If the feature is a web scope feature, then add the feature to webfeatures.
Make sure the feature is installed correctly.

I'm looking for a plug-in on Logic Express 7 that is similar to the vocal effect you always catch T-Pain using. I believe it is called Auto Tune. I just wanted to know if this is available in LE7. Thanks.

No. it is not the same. to get those fast pitch rises and falls, you either need auto tune, or a really good Vocoder.
Try using a Vocoder instead. This will be closer to that sound. BTW I work in syndicated radio, and it is the single most overused effect right now, so IMHO, try something else. We're starting to get listener complaints about having so many songs with it on our chart. Seriously...

The count value depends on the resolution of your motor. Set it to be the maximum counts you want your motor to travel while responding to the signal sent for auto-tuning. Take a look at the following tutorial for more detailed information on servo tuning:

Auto Tune prior to running motion control program (LabVIEW)

I am controlling Parker Compumotor (404-LXR) linear servo table via GV6 drive and PCI-7344 motion controller.
The problem is that I always have to run automatic tuning in MAX when I turn off all the system and restart it.
Before I use the automatic servo tuning in MAX, the servo table buzzes and oscillates wildly. Cabling seems to be successful as linear servo motor is completely controlled by LabVIEW after auto tuning in MAX.
I wonder how I can just run my LabVIEW program without running Auto Tune step.

Thank you for using our discussion forums. Yes, you can programmatic load the PID parameters from LabVIEW. Tune your servo using auto tune, once you are satisfied with the response look under the Control Loop tab for the PID parameters. In LabVIEW use the Load All PID Parameters.flx and use the tuned parameters from Measurement and Automation Explorer as the PID Parameters input for this VI. Place the VI before the multistart.vi. This will make sure the correct PID settings are used. I hope this helps you out. Have a nice day!

Image contains camera White Balance setting; LR 5.5 only shows "As Shot", "Auto", and "Custom"

I have a new, Panasonic DMC-GX7. I shot a bunch of photos as JPGs. When viewing their Exif data using Exiftool, I can clearly see the camera's White Balance setting, as well as the Color Temp Kelvin, WB Red Level, WB Green Level, and WB Blue Level. However, Lightroom 5.5 only shows "As Shot", "Auto", and "Custom" when I click White Balance under Quick Develop on the Library tab or WB under Basic on the Develop tab. Exiftool shows the Exif Version as 0230 and the Panasonic Exif Version as 0405. Is LR looking for the white balance information in some other field? Do I need to configure it somehow for my camera? I am new to LR (but not to image processing), so could use some help figuring this out.

The whole question is not so simple as converting to DNG. Yes DNG is openly documented, yes the file can be read, but that does not mean it can be correctly interpreted by other software in the future and the best you can then do is starting the PP of your images from scratch. Imagine a DNG with LR adjustments that in some years you open the file in another software, possibly non-Adobe. Even if the file can be read it will not look the same, as the Adobe specific developing instructions could not be strictly followed. Even if all software manufactures agreed on a common set of adjustments, let's say everybody had a Highlights slider and a Clarity slider and so on, which is unlikely, the results would still be different as the underlying algorithms would be different.
Disclaimer: I only shoot raw and firmly believe it is the best option, but one must be conscious it has some shortcomings related to the future of our images.

56HM195 - "Auto Aspect Ratio" feature

I've just picked up a used Toshiba 56HM195. It has a "Auto Aspect Ratio" feature (page 74 of the owner's manual), which when enabled should display windowboxed (black bars on all four sides) 4:3 images in "TheaterWide 2" display mode, which zooms in to eliminate the windowboxing.
We have some SD recordings on our TivoHD. The Tivo is connected to a Component switcher, and the switcher is connected to one of the sets of Component inputs on the TV.
Enabling the TV's "Auto Aspect Ratio" feature does *not* make the windowboxed Tivo 4:3 images display in "TheaterWide 2" (zoomed) mode. Instead it still displays in "Natural" mode and so is still windowboxed.
Any idea what the problem is?

The aspect ratio setting of portrait, landscape, or auto, controls what orientation the app opens up in. Most times you would choose portrait or landscape, but in doing so you’re saying that the app only uses that ratio. If you have an app that is both portrait and landscape, then auto might make sense. You would also want to include all of the possible splash screens, not just the portrait or landscape ones.
Auto orient controls whether the app will rotate around when the user turns the device 90 or 180 degrees. For iOS apps you would most likely want that to be on, because it’s a requirement for the iTunes store. But, as an alternative you can have it set to be off, then change that at runtime to be on at the right times. One example use case would be if part of the game play involves using the accelerometer, you wouldn’t want the screen to rotate on the user while playing that part of the game.

"Auto Size Column" feature dissappeared after installing iTunes 7.4.1.2

I recently downloaded and installed iTunes 7.4.1.2, and the problem that I have now is when I'm playing/using my iPod while viewing it through iTunes. The problem is that the "Auto Size Column" feature is now missing whenever I right-click on any of the column headings. The "Auto Size All Columns" feature is present, but that does not work. When I click on "Auto Size All Columns", it doesn't do anything to the width of the columns. Also, I can not manually adjust the width of the columns by clicking between the columns (so that the cursor turns into the left & right arrows <->).
The Auto Size Column feature works perfectly when I'm using the iTunes Library on my hard drive... it just doesn't work anymore when I'm working in the iTunes Devices on my iPod.
Because of all of the glitches and problems that I've had with all of the iPod updates, I'm still running my iPod on Software Version 1.0. More than likely, this is the cause of my problem... I just wanted to find out if anyone else is having the same problem.
p.s. I hope that I don't have to install the latest Software Version 1.2.1 for my iPod in order to fix this problem... Do I live without being able to adjust the width of the columns, or do I live without all of the glitches and freeze-ups?

same is the case with me. Earlier it was working fine. i have gone to the extent of not enabling access to outlook express so that it doesn't run on the computer still it is giving problems

Certain customized features not copied from CS 5 to CS 5.5?

I have another conversion question.
I am on Mac OS 10.6.8 (snow leopard) and recently installed a trial version of CS 5.5. Customized document presets and customized workspaces that I created in CS5 are missing when I open CS5.5. There might be more customizations, too, but these are the two that I noticed so far.
Does anyone know why this happened, and how I might fix it?
