Auto Update of Resource form
In my OIM I have configured AD User resource for provisioning and I've provisioned about 100 users.
Then I've updated AD User resource form to version 2 and made this version active.
But when I view resource profile (for AD User) for any of users that were provisioned before form update, I can still see the old version of form. And I have to revoke and then re-provision these users before I can see 'version2' in their resource profile.
For any user that was provisioned AFTER form 'version2' was made active, I can see the new version of resource form.
I need that all users to have the new version of form automatically after it's made active (without manual re-provisioning them)
Is there any other way, such as using Xellerate API to assign the new version of form to all users that have AD User resource?
I guess first I have to retrieve the list of all AD Users and then make a loop for re-assigning the form...
There is a utility available for changing form versions.

I haven't used it myself, but i know i've seen other posts regarding it.

Auto update of picking/putaway qty
Hi friends,
In transaction VL01N/VL31N, we need to auto update of picking/putaway quantity from delivery quantity when an Outbound/Inbound delivery is created.
We try to do this with form exit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT (include MV50AFZ1) and USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_LIPS (include MV50AFZ1).
But we have problem with the following object:
Overall picking / putaway status (VBUK-KOSTK) (incorrect, not updated)
Picking status/ Putaway status (VBUP-KOSTA) (incorrect, not updated)
Picking request (not created)
Please help me
Thanks & Regards
AlessandroHi MK,
Are you asking about pricing conditions or tax conditions?
Tax conditions flow auto when you enter tax code
Whereas pricing conditions if those are manual conditions have to be maintained
manually
for conditions to flow automatically you have to customize the condition type for "changes can be made" with manual entries indicator as B
and maintain the condition record

Update a Process Form attribute during reconciliation
Hi
I wanted to updated a attribute in my process form whenever there is a reconciliation event generated for it when i run a resource reconiliation . Basically the attribute should the system time when the last reconciliation happenned ? how would i go about doing this ?
thank1. Create a field on your process as a date field.You mean, the reconciliation field mapping or what?
Or I should create a field in my resource form instead`of process?
***You aren't reconciling an existing date, you are populating this field after the reconciliation is performed. This will need to be on your process form because all reconiliation and provisioning actions are based on your process form.
5. On your reconciliation insert and update task, the response code of completed, trigger your new task.Do you mean that the new task must be conditional dependent on the completion of reconciliation task?
***Yes. When the reconciliation task is completing, this will trigger your new task to populate the current time into your date field to show the last time the user was reconciled.
If you are wanting to just record the time the resource itself was reconciled rather than individual users, you could create a User Defined field for your resource object and write a value within your recon code to that field. Or you could add a value onto your IT Resource and write the current time to that field.

Auto update stats disabled for a user Database in Sql server
While trying to improve the performance of few queries, we found via execution plan that there were lot of Index/Clustered index seeks. Therefore:
First thing we did, was to check our Re-indexing and update stats job which runs weekly for this user DB ( Around 400 GB in size and is used 24*5). The job was running fine.
Later when we ran SP_Blitz, we came to know that auto-update-stats is disabled for this user DB. We expected this to be a possible cause and change it from false to TRUE(Auto update stats)
Also, per SP_blitz there are user-created statistics for this DB. When ran the query to check how many, we saw around 7K user stats out there.
So my question would be 1) setting the Auto update stats to TRUE would require a reboot or once changed i need to track the performance and 2) Should we consider dropping those user created stats or manually look into them one by one.
How should we proceed on this, please suggest, thanks!There may be good reasons for having auto-stats off, but those cases are not very common. It makes a little more sense to turn if off on table level. An example of the latter is a relatively small table, say < 100000 rows where not many new rows are added,
but the existing rows are being updated frequently. This will trigger autostats, but probably without much benefit.
But if you have a system which is very busy during peak times, you may not want autostats take resources during those hours. But if you turn off autostats, you will need to make sure that stats are updated in some other fashion.
Here is a query that you can use review when your statistics last were updated:
SELECT o.name, s.name, stats_date(o.object_id, s.stats_id) AS lastupdated
FROM sys.objects o
JOIN sys.stats s ON s.object_id = o.object_id
--WHERE s.user_created = 1
ORDER BY lastupdated
7000 user-created statistics sounds a little excessive, but I guess they were added to compensate for the autostats that SQL Server were not permitted to create. I would not recommend dropping these statistics, as SQL Server would spend cycles on recreating
them.
You should not have to restart SQL Server for the Auto-update stats setting to take effect; it takes effect immediately.

How to make Resource Forms fields non editable (OIM)
Hi all!
I would like to know if there's any way to make some resource fileds non editable.
I have one resource which is getting 3 fileds from the oim user profile. When i change the oim user profile, these values are updated on the resource form associated.
But i want to prevent the situation in which those fields are directly updated on the resouce form.
I now i can propagate those changes back to oim profile but it will be much appropiate for what we want if we just could prevent anyone from changing those values on the resource form.
Is it possible to make those fields non editable? How?
OIM version is 9.1.0.1.
Thanks in advance.Hi, thanks.
Finally i found this: http://kr.forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=591683
and after setting the fields to required=false, it worked without any errors ("The Resource has not been configured properly" because of the prepopulate adapters)

App auto-updates and magazine/newspaper updates won't happen anymore
My iPad Air is running latest iOS, with 33G free memory. I have app auto updates turned on since iPad Air came out and landed into my hands. It worked great since then. But, Oct 13 is last that happened. Since then 29 updates are pending, yet not downloading. Trying to update manually, the circle doesn't even spin. Also, cannot download any new issues in Newsstand, thus behind by one or two issues on each. Probably related. I looked on the web for solutions, tried them all, to no benefit:
- Cold rebooted the iPad.
- Logged out of and into my Apple ID.
- Reset iPad network settings.
- Killed AppStore app, restarted it.
- Changed the language to something else, then back to English.
- Restarted all AppleExtreme routers at home; I have 4, one main, 3 in wired bridge mode, all running latest firmware.
- I disconnected/"forgot" my home network connection on iPad, then reconnected.
- I even went to another WiFi network at a Dr's office I had never been to, thus using a totally fresh network connection.
- I reentered all my credit card info into my AppleID.
None of these worked, some after trying multiple times. Still can't get my new issues of Time/People/Entertainment Weekly, and can't get my 29 app updates... And no alerts or any other indication of any problem. Access to Internet works, obviously. Seems like a problem with something in my account... "Emailed" Apple Support using a form I found on this Support site, it said 24hrs turnaround time, but I didn't get anything back, yet.
What to do??same here for 4 months now, and noone seems to be able to address the issue here.

OIM - Users provisioned with different resource form versions
Hi !!
we are having some problems with different resource form versions and maybe you can help us.
We have two different versions of one resource form. One of them has 2 extra fields.
Some users were provisioned with that resource with the previous form version (no extra fields) and some with the new one (extra fields).
The problem is that now, if we try to edit that resource for the users with the old version, we are not able to edit or even see the information for those extra fields.
It seems that they have been associated with the old version and we need to change it in order to make them use the new one. Is that possible? How can we fix that?
Thanks in advance.Alternatively you can manually update the form version in the OIM database.
If it is a small number of forms it might be easier to do that then to bother with fvc.
Best regards

I am interested in knowing whether or not data can be
automatically updated in Captivate 3. Let's say I created a
PowerPoint presentation and imported it to Captivate. I then
realize information in the PowerPoint presentation needs to be
changed. Is it possible to make the changes in PowerPoint (or
Photoshop or whatever app you used) and then have those changes
automatically updated in Captivate? It seems like such a hassle to
update changes in another app, import the changes into Captivate,
and then delete the previous version from Captivate.
Thanks,
dcmediamanWelcome to our community, Darin
Sorry, but that functionality doesn't yet exist in Captivate.
Not from PowerPoint. If you update PowerPoint, you have to
re-import to see the changes. Photoshop is a bit different. You are
able to edit the image from the library. When you save, the image
is often updated. If not, you are able to right-click and choose to
update to pull in changes.
If you would like to suggest something like an auto update
for PowerPoint be added, please consider using the Wish Form.

Towards the end of an automatic Firefox update, the program opens a dialogue box that says it's checking compatibility of the new version with my addons. It also mentions that I should be patient, that the process could take several minutes. The process continues without normal termination, and I have to use Windows Task Manager to stop it. I've let it run form as long as 35 minutes, but it never completes the process. This has happened for each of the last 3 or 4 auto updates. What's going on?
We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
#Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
#In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
#From that explorer window, double-click on the ''Mozilla'' folder, then double-click on ''Firefox'' and then on ''Crash reports''. Double-click on ''submitted''.
#Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to ''View'' > ''Arrange Icons by'' > ''Modified'' to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
#Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
#Paste each ID with '''bp-''' into the reply window on the forums.
Thanks in advance!

Firefox auto-update bounces back end forth between 3.6.11 and 3.6.12
Firefox keeps going through the following apparently endless cycle: It realizes it's not on the latest version and auto-updates from 3.6.11 to 3.6.12. Everything is fine for a few uses, then it tells me it needs to reboot to complete an update, upon which its "completion" of the update results in it reverting back to 3.6.11. After a few uses of that version the entire cycle repeats (It again wants to install an update to 3.6.12)... and so it continues
You can check for a problem with the prefs.<br />

We just updated our Dev system to SP5 with Patch 2, but the clients are not updating automatically.
I have checked that the Client and Admin boxes are checked for auto-update and can see nowhere else that this can be done.
I double-checked with the Master Install guide, and this appears to be the only thing that I need to do to make it work.
The clients are currently at 502, and they should now be 506.
Also, is this controlled by the files in C:\BPC\Websrvr\Web\Installation?
I have checked the live server (BPC 5.1 SP3) and the Dev server (BPC 5.1 SP5r2)
Both of them have EverestClient.exe and EverestAdmin.exe with version number 12.0.0.49974
Does that seem right? I would have expected an increment in version number.
Has anyone else seen this, and can you offer any advice?
Thanks
Craig

It does not say about the Patch! sorry...
the note is 1269662
Summary
Symptom
The Client Auto Update feature does not work in 5.1 SP5.
Other terms
auto, update, client, upgrade, install
Reason and Prerequisites
This is due to unintended consequences of fixing IM 3569686 issue in SP5.
Solution
Remove the '<remove name="Documentation"/>' node from the web.config file located in the x:\bpc\websrvr\web directory and save.
Once all clients have been updated, add the node back to the file.
The node is found in the following section:
<globalization requestEncoding="utf-8" responseEncoding="utf-8"/>
<webServices>
<protocols>
<add name="HttpSoap"/>
<add name="HttpGet"/>
<add name="HttpPost"/>
<remove name="Documentation"/>
</protocols>
</webServices>

The office I work in uses a very old version of ACT!, an accounting package. This package has a component called SwiftPage, an antiquated email system that enables us to email from the ACT DB. SwiftPage runs via the web browser.
Firefox just did an auto update (that I will have to find out how to turn off) and now SwiftPage won't run as it is not compatible.
Can I "roll-back" my version of Firefox or do I have to uninstall and try to re-install an older version?
HELP!Try loading and using the add-on from this link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/
Many add-ons do in fact work if you force them to run. The procedure to roll-back is given in this article: [[installing previous versions of firefox]]
Unfortunately the official Firefox policy is that you downgrade to 3.6 which is supported for a while longer, and not the now unsupported Firefox 4. If after installing and running the ''add-on compatibility reporter'' you still have problems there are ways around the official policy.
I think it is absurd that Firefox 4 may be used by tens of millions of users one day and a few days later those that upgrade to Firefox 5 should be not only told not to use a now unsupported browser, if they need to revert due to problems, but are actually obstructed in attempts to do so. Auto update of Schedule Agreements
Once a schedule agreement has been created will MRP auto update the delivery date (for JIT) if the lead time is zero days and the new need date is today?
You need to check what is the procedure (T-Code) from which the data gets updated into these tables.
For example
when we craete a material from MM01 the data gets updated in the corresponding table i.e. EKPO.
In same way you need to find the process and then you can use BTE (Busineess transaction events) for that process. BTE are only for FI module and these tables are also related to FI .

Why can't we replace images in photo stream?
Shared photo streams could be great, but it has a big downside because we cannot replace images in it. How many times haven't I uploaded images that I later wanted to edit? But the only way to replace an image is to delete it and upload a new one. It

Not possible to make full check in email client?
