Auto-updated to Safari 3.1 and Itunes 7, now neither opens

I proceeded with an update prompt for Safari 3.1, Itunes 7.6.2, and I believe a Quicktime update. For whatever reason, the installer didn't finish with the Safari update. And now neither that nor Itunes will even open. I tried downloading and re-installing them again. Itunes will install, but still won't open. Safari on the other hand can't even be installed because when I click to install it, a message comes up that says the "installer has quit unexpectedly". And that's about as far as I get with it.
Any help or solution would be greatly appreciated.

There's quite a bit of confusion created in your machine by the Install/Quit. Easiest path to sanity is a trip to one of the Apple Store in the Seattle area, where someone at the Genius Bar will help you. Best to make an appointment in advance to avoid waiting. I've been having the same exact problem this morning, and from the looks of it a lot of other people are posting about this issue, so I don't know if it's maybe something wrong with the download but I'm just relieved that it seems to be that instead of a corruption issue with my windows installation. I'm just wondering how long this will take to be resolved.

Since updating to Safari 5.1 and iTunes 10.4 last night I can't connect to the Apple Store nor can I access the internet on Safari.

Last night I updated my iTunes and Safari software to the latest versions on my Windows 7 PC using Apple Software Update. Everything seemed to go smoothly in the installation. But when I tried to access the web today using Safari, the browser freezes. The url bar loads to a certain point and never loads. And when I try to access the iTunes store it does essentiall the same thing. The bar gets to a certain point and then stops. Anyone finding solutions to this?

I have exactly the same issue accessing the store here in Australia.
I uninstalled Safari with nochnage in iTunes.
Even weirder iTiunes will allow me to download app updates but won't show the home page or any other pages. I can access my account details but not Ping.

When I access episode information via TV Shows (ie show in itunes) I get the text without graphics and any form of stylesheet.

If you're on windows try the following:
This worked for me an hour ago and has allowed me to sync ok. Still haven't tried downloading the new version 5 to the phone yet as I'm still backing up photos etc just in case.
1. Quit itunes
2. Start an elevated command prompt (Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> right click Command Prompt -> Run as Administrator)
3. Once in the command prompt type the following 3 words starting where your cursor is flashing: netsh winsock reset
4. press ENTER
5. Reboot your machine
6. Restart itunes & connect device to sync
7. Good luck

I updated to Safari 6.1 and now it freezes when opened

Yesterday I updated to Safari 6.1 and now it freezes when opened, although the overall system stays up. I updated to the latest Java and iTunes 11.1.2 at the same time. When I open Safari now, it pauses for a few seconds without going to the home page and then I get the spinning beach ball. I get two messages: One says that the plug-in for SplashID Safe has not been tested with this version of Safari (a message that I had been getting before the update and never caused a problem). The other message says, "Crash Protection It appears that Safari didn't quit properly. Do you want Glims to re-open your tabs anyway?" It gives me a choice to click "Cancel" or "OK". I have tried clicking them (before the beach ball appears) and it makes no difference. The version of Glims I am running is out-of-date.
The only available crash report is almost a month old and therefore is of no help.
I made a back-up with SuperDuper just before updating and can reverse the update if I do it soon, but I would like to get this working.
I would appreciate any advice.

Both were working normally before the used "Apple Software Update" to update all my apple software on 15Apr2012
I wish I didn't disable my system restore, but is there a way I can downgrade Safari and iTunes if this problem can't be a fixed
Must be a problem with just apple software since no other audio application have problems.
Quicktime works properly.

Hi, I just bought a new iphone 5c. I 'had' the safari, app store and itunes available, they dissappeared from the phone and now i cannot download any cool games or even browse the internet. How can I get them back?

Check Settings > General > Restrictions on Safari, iTunes, etc.

Did you try removing and reinstalling all the Apple software using:

I have same issue. I click on the home button and Wake/sleep at the same time for 30 seconds or more and then the phone entered in Recovery mode. It is erasing my content now and installing the update. Let´s see how this ends. I have iCloud, iTunes match, and backups from previos versions, hope I can restore all my content.
Otherwise I´ll go to the Genius Bar to do a checkup.

It did not work the first time... The iPhone4 kept in limbo. Then I did disconnect as suggested above and tried again to enter in Recovery mode. This second time it works. And after restoring the iPhone4 with 7.0.3, it asked me if I want to recover from backup. I did recover from my latest back up and now it is syncing the content.

Lost iPhone Apps (Safari, App Store and iTunes)

I couldn't locate the iPhone apps such as Safari, App Store and iTunes at all. I have restored it twice and those 3 apps appeared initially after each restore process but disappeared again once it sync with my iphone backup.

Check Settings -> General -> Restrictions. If restrictions are enabled for any of those apps, their icons will be hidden.

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.
Sorry, just this minute went to insert image and it is giving me a message saying this sort of content is not allowed?.

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.
