AutoCAD / Adobe Acrobat size limit problems.

Hi there !
I am looking for a solution for the problem of AutoCAD 2012 not printig 'oversized' (100cm/100cm) PDFs.
Every solution (coming from Autodesk) sais to use AutoCAD's PDF Exporter but we re having problems with its quality.

Can you mention the exact steps what you are following when you get the problem!
Please share the files as I am using Acrobat Professional but i didn't get such a problem with Acrobat 10 and ACAD 2010.
Appreciate your expected help for increasing my knowledge domain in ACAD printing area.

Issue: Whenever the end-user runs the PDF maker in Word 2003, it converts the file fine but when you close the PDF and return to the Word document, it shows the progress bar is still working to create the PDF.

Adobe Acrobat Pro XI problems printing PDFs created from AutoCAD.

Just installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and am having problems printing PDFs created from AutoCAD. Printing other PDF created by MS Word works well. Had a similar problem in an earlier version of Pro. The fix I figure out then was to print the PDF file as another PDF. Using the second PDF to print to a plotter typically worked. It does not work for Adoabe Acrobat Pro XI.

Adobe Acrobat X Pro problem with 10.1.1 MSP

I have an AIP for Adobe Acrobat X Pro and applied the 10.1.1 MSP to it yesterday.
When I attempt to deploy through Group Policy, I receive:
Error 1334: The file 'acidviewobj.tx' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file Data1.cab
I expanded Data1.cab and the file is definitely not there.
I have built this package using the following:
Downloaded AcrobatPro_10_Web_WWEFD.exe (10.0.0)
Ran -nos_o -nos_ne commands to extract
Created MST using Customization Wizard X
Applied 10.1.1 MSP patch
Am I doing something wrong?

OK, figured it out.
My problem was that I was reusing AIPs, which Adobe discourages in their Enterprise Admin Guide.
For every quarterly update, you have to recreate the AIP, then apply the new quarterly patch. I don't feel this is adequately explained in the guide, but it's the only series of steps that worked for me.
So:
Create a new 10.0.0 AIP
msiexec /a C:\Acrobat\AcroPro.msi (where AcroPro.msi is an unmodified, original 10.0.0 package. Re-extract from the 10.0.0 installer if you only have patched versions left)
choose a unique subfolder for this AIP, something like C:\Acrobat\AIP_1011\
Patch this new AIP with your quarterly patch
msiexec /a C:\Acrobat\AIP_1011\AcroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd1011.msp
Now you can push out installs with this new, patched AcroPro.msi in your new AIP folder
msiexec /i C:\Acrobat\AIP_1011\AcroPro.msi TRANSFORMS=C:\Acrobat\transform.mst REINSTALLMODE=vomus REINSTALL=all REBOOT=reallysuppress /qb

ich wollte Adobe Acrobat von 8 Pro auf X Pro updaten. Dabei kommt jedoch die Fehlermeldung, dass die Systemanforderungen nicht gegeben sind.
Nun sind die Systemanforderungen aber gegeben.
OS: Windows XP Professional SP3 (32bit)
3 Gb Arbeitsspeicher
Prozessor: Intel Core2-Duo
Festplattenspeicher ist auch genug frei.
Internet Explorer ist in der Version 8 vorhanden.
Alle Systemanforderungen, die auf der Verpackung stehen sind gegeben. Trotzdem lässt sich Acrobat X Pro nicht installieren. Auf anderen Rechnern mit der gleichen Ausstattung habe ich Acrobat X Pro bereits erfolgreich upgedatet. Nur dieser eine PC will nicht.
Habt ihr schon mal von so einem Problem gehört?
Würde mich über Tipps oder Lösungen freuen.

I wanted to update Adobe Acrobat to X Pro. When I wanted to start the installation an error message occured. The systemrequirements aren't given.
My systemrequirements:
OS: Windows XP Professional SP3 (32bit)
3 Gb main memory
Prozessor: Intel Core2-Duo
30 Gb free Hard drive space
Internet Explorer 8 is installed
So you see the systemrequirements are given. On other PCs with the same configuration I updated Adobe Acrobat to X Pro without any problems.
Has anyone ever seen such a problem?

Ok, ich habe das Problem gefunden.
Auf dem Pc war Windows XP Pro SP2 installiert. Normalerweise haben wir auf jedem PC bei uns ein Standard Image, welches das Betriebssystem, MS Office und andere Programme, welche hier immer gebraucht werden, beinhaltet. Also habe ich auf diesem PC nicht nach dem Betriebssystem geschaut, da ja auf jedem PC Windows XP Pro SP3 installiert ist. Keine Ahnung warum auf diesem das nicht der Fall war.
Trotzdem vielen Dank für deine Zeit und Mühe David.

Ok, I found the problem.
On the PC Windows XP Pro SP2 was installed. Usually we've got a standard image on all our PCs with the main software like OS, MS Office and other programms. So I didn' look at the OS which is installed on this PC because on every PC is XP Pro SP3. I've got no idea why there was only SP2 on this PC.

Adobe Acrobat 8 Scanning Problem with Brother 7820N

I am all of a sudden having a scanning problem utilizing Adobe Acrobat and my Brother 7820N printer/scanner. It was working just fine scanning into PDF format in Adobe when I was on the Tiger OS. I just upgraded to Leopard about a month ago and now my scanner is not working, I can print to it no problem, but when I try to initiate a scan through Adobe it crashes and I get the following error message: "the application acrobat quit unexpectedly".
Can anyone provide me with any advice on how to fix this problem?

Adobe acrobat reader 9 problem saving forms and copying photos

I used adobe acrobat reader 6 at
work and I have a form that I save with new data. I am also able to copy text and photos using version 6.
When I try to save edited forms and copy files from versiion 9 It wont allow me to do that.
Is their any way that I can copy text, photos and save forms in Adobe version 9?

Are you talking about Reader or Acrobat. These are two different programs and Reader definitely has restrictions. Reader used to be called Acrobat Reader before version 6, but that has been gone a long time. The change was likely because of the confusion between Acrobat and Reader. The problems you indicate are suggestive of Reader, not of Acrobat.

Adobe Acrobat X installation problem

On a Windows XP SP2 system, I just installed Adobe Acrobat X reader to replace version 9. Now whenever I attempt to start the reader, I get the following error:
"The Ordinal 19 could not be located in the dynamic link library mapi32.dll"
I am currently unable to use Adobe Acrobat Reader X. Any suggestions on how to deal with this problem would be much appreciated.

You are correct, my MAPI32.dll was corrupted. It had been changed by Mozilla at some point, and was a tiny file. Luckily Mozilla had made a backup in the same directory, so I renamed to current mapi32.dll with an "old", made a copy of the Mozilla backup and renamed it to mapi32.dll, rebooted, and swoosh, Adobe Reader works fine. Why Mozilla changed it I do not know. I use Firefox and Thunderbird.
Your fix probably would have worked but I didn't have to try it because Mozilla had thoughtfully left a backup when it corrupted my file!

I bought a creative Suite 5.5 design standard, evrything installed perfectly but not the Adobe Acrobat X Pro! Before I even install it, it's telling me that the minimum system requirements are not met. Same thing after I install it. What do you think is the problem? I have a 32 bit computer with windows Vista.

Have you installed SP2 for Vista? If not, try installing the service pack, then relaunching Acrobat X.

Adobe Acrobat Pro license problem

I had an Adobe Acrobat Pro license and now the program is asking for my serial and does not recognize it. I have entered in trial mode and I can get assistance directly from Adobe and cannot access the chat. What should I do?

Jmmussat, no, it is NOT a browser problem, I have tried several now.
I suspect it could be very bad luck and not a purposeful block so customers like me, with old licenses, will be forced to purchase.

Adobe Acrobat Pro Printing Problem

Hello everyone I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5 and when I print a file I have some issue with the design elements. I have a american flag and has some areas which expand. Below is a picture of what the file should look like:
No what happens is the file prints like this:
Please not the expanded white area in between the red stripes on the american flag. This may vary from file to file, but I cannot have this since these will be sent out to a customer for approval. I have tried Adobe Illustrator, and have no problem with the file. I have saving a PDF from Adobe Illustrator and then printing in Adobe Acrobat Pro for proper color. Any suggestions would be great! I can provide more information also. Thanks!

Without actually having the digital assets to look at, it is a real cr*pshoot to guess as to what is going on here.
What is the pseudo-American flag in term of object types? Vector, raster, what? Perhaps you can point us to the objects to examine?

Adobe Acrobat Check Box Problems

Hello,
I am setting up a form within Adobe Acrobat Pro v 9. I have been able to set check boxes up within the form that when you click on them they make a field visible. The problem is that when you uncheck them the field stays visible. I am trying to get it where when you click on it and the check mark is there the field is visible but when you uncheck it the same field that became visible when you checked it becomes invisible.
If you are responding an example of a checkboxes name and the field name would be Checkbox Numbers and then the field name would be Numbers Font.

Is there a way to do the same thing with JavaScript to control layers?
So say we use the original checkbox which is named Checkbox Numbers.
Whenever we click on Checkbox Numbers to be checked we want the layer named
Numbers be visible however when we uncheck it we want it to become
invisible.
Is that possible through JavaScript and if so what would that code be?

I have query on Adobe Acrobat Proffesional 7 on comparing texual difference for the attached two pdf file its show text is identical.
But in the two pdf files difference is present.

If you check teh box to check font issues, then there is a difference indicated with the text comparison. It is indicated that there is a font difference. This was the result I got with AA7 that you said you are using. The characters are apparently the same number, but one in ANSI and the other in Roman of your font style.
