Autoconvert iWork files (.pages .keynote .numbers) to Google Docs/Sheets/Presentation.

I'm using iWork every day and i have to use Google Drive. I would like to convert automatically my .pages, .keynote, and .numbers files to Google documents. Is it possible with Automator or AppleScript?

If you download an app called ifiles by imagam.com (http://www.ifilesapp.com/) you can have access to google docs and mobile me/dropbox. So from pages for example... Export to MobileMe, go into ifiles, download from MobileMe, then upload to google docs. I have also heard of a way to replace MobileMe with dropbox... You'll have to google for that. I know that it's kind of a backwards way of doing it... But it seems to work.

Exporting/uploading Numbers to Google Docs

So I'm bumping this issue again.
I'm trying to upload a simple Numbers table to Google Docs. I export the table as a .xls from Numbers, but Google Docs gives me a blank sheet when I try to open it.
I've tried a really simple 'test' spreadsheet, but it still doesn't open in Google Docs correctly.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. This would work for static numbers, unfortunately my spreadsheet contains a lot of formula which I want to retain in Google Docs. Copy/Paste won't copy the formula.
I could of course copy/paste each formula in turn. But at that point I might as well create the sheet from scratch in Google Docs to begin with!

Is there a disc any more for the apple software (pages, keynote, numbers)??

I have the disk for the 09' iWork pages keynote and numbers. But is the a new updated disk with 11' or 12'?

Those available via Mac App Store are, as you probably know, single product downloads ... viz Pages, Keynote and numbers.

Updated to Mavericks 10.9.4 September 10th.
K, P & N would not open before or after system upgrade. When I open the app, it takes me to my Documents folder. I can't even download them again because they say installed. If I deleted them, can I re-add K, P & N for free? They came with my computer.

Thanks for the question. When you open Pages, Keynote or Numbers, an “Open” dialog appears. This dialog allows you to choose to open a document (defaults to showing your Documents folder) or open a file from iCloud. In the bottom left corner there is also a “New Document” button:

I've just bought a new MacBook Pro Retina which comes pre installed with pages, keynote and numbers. If i want to get them on my iMac will i have to pay for them?

No, sign into the Mac App Store on your new computer with the same Apple ID and the Mac App Store should offer you the download at no cost in your Purchased apps section.
I guess the rub would be if you didn't have the apps pre-installed to the correct Apple ID account.

My google site (web page) not displaying embedded google docs on ioS5

I have a google site that is used to share information for team parents of HS sports team. We utilize a google doc on Home page for Quick Announcements--such as last minute changes. The document is shared and public to all. It works great on Chrome, Firefox and IE but the embeded google doc does not display on Apple products. Other tabbed pages that have spreadsheets that are public and shared to all show up just fine. What is going on???

QuickOffice completely gone.. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

I was trying to search for QuickOffice Pro HD for my work and ran into a lot of information. 1. Google bought QuickOffice and then offered their own version. That's another thread you can search called RIP QuickOffice. 2. Now Google has completely killed QuickOffice and is basically telling everyone to use Docs, Sheets, and Slides. I have them downloaded and will try them, but I also think that Google owes those who purchased QuickOffice Pro a refund. I will keep it on my personal iPad as long as I can, but I'll have to look for an alternative for my work iPad which is a different Apple account.

Okay, but to get to 1a, you just tab, but then I'm not so sure everything works the same in Office Mac as it does Office Windows. I've been using them since Office 97, or some called it Office XP, and have been teaching since Office 2007. All on Windows platform. Guess that may be why I feel very comfortable with it. As far as the large document made with several documents, that problem is generally created by everyone using different themes and settings. I agree that can be frustrating. The new Office 2013, or Office 365 allows for multiple people working on a single document in the Microsoft Cloud, which eliminates part of the problem of multiple formats.
I appreciate you taking the time to respond, as I use this type of feedback in preparing additional information about my classes. I've never used Pages or Numbers, but after reading a few things here on the forum, and I understand these are people having difficulties, I'm quite intimidated to try them, despite my knowledge of Word and Excel. I had pages, keynote, numbers but recently purchased office suite of word, excel, powerpoint. I want all files to be opened by office software. how do I do that?

When I open a previous file from pages, I want it to open in word. I dont want to work in the apple applications of pages, numbers and keynote. I now have the office suite. If I delete the apple softwate, willI lose these documents? Goal is to get ride of pages, numbers and keynote for good and replace with word, powerpoint, excel but concern is that I will not be able to open files originally developed in apple apps.

Choose an app to open a document
You can select a specific app to open a document. Do this if you prefer using a certain app or if you don’t have the app that was used to create the document.
HidePermanently change the document’s app
Select the document and choose File > Get Info.
In the Info window, click the triangle next to “Open with” to expand the section.
Choose an app from the pop-up menu, or choose Other to locate a different app.
If you want to use that app to open all documents of the same type as the current document and created by the same app, click Change All.

Iwork (pages,keynote,numbers)

I had previously purchased iWork (not the latest version) not though the app store but a hard copy from the apple store. The app store automaticlly saw that I had the apps when the newest verison came out and updated them to the latest version. But now for some reason it keeps saying that they need to be updated. I keep having it install the update and in about a few hours it askes to be updated again. Any ideas?

The old apps are in a folder named "iWork '09" or similar in the Applications folder. Delete them.

How do I update Pages Keynote Numbers?

I have Pages 4.1, Keynote 5.1.1, and Numbers 2.1. I go to the app store and it says they're already installed, I can't buy or download the newer versions.

Yes, thanks, I JUST found them and came here to erase my question. Dumb me, I'd never pulled the new ones installed with Mavericks into the dock. Turns out I did have one Pages 5 update, got that to work by resetting my notices in the account at the app store. And then I noticed the update hadn't erased the old Pages, so I went looking for the old one and found the iLife'09 folder.

Delete Beta Pages, Keynote, Numbers from iCloud

Just purchased a MacBook Pro 15. Had Apple Store do a complete data migration from my PB 17. That seems to have worked OK. How do I get rid of the iWork Beta from iCloud? I am unable to save Pages documents to iCloud. I'm thinking that the Beta version is having some effect on the 'real' Pages.

It's not possible. Your problem presumably lies elsewhere, best ask in the os x pages forum and provide details on error messages, etc.

I was wondering if it is possible to edit images from google and then save them with transparency and then copy them to any of the iWork for iOS applications preserving the transparency.

Yes, the application can export as PNG.
You have some tutorials inside the application.
When it comes to images - do you mean sample images?
