Autocorrect improvement suggestions (the bubble with the tiny "x")

The autocorrect programming does not make sense.
When a "corrected word" is suggested, it pops up in a little bubble above the word. That's fine.
The problem is that the ONLY way to cancel the autocorrect is by hitting that infuriatingly tiny little x.
If I hit space after the word, it autocorrects. If I tap on the bubble, it autocorrects.
Almost EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to hit that little x, it reads that I tapped the bubble and autocorrects.
Please, please, please change any one of those things. I like that it autocorrects after hitting space.
Either make the x bigger, or reprogram the bubble to where it also cancels the autocorrect when pressed.
There is no need for it the way it is, since the spacebar autocorrect does the exact same thing for the exact same amount of effort.
Everyone I know who owns an iPhone complains about this. I love Apple products, but this one tiny thing is driving me away from iPhones.
Please fix this. I know everyone will appreciate it.

I leave it charging until it gets back to full, usually it turns on after a little bit of time after plugging it in, but all its doing is going to the apple logo screen and going blank again.

Dear Paul, thank you very much for your time and answer, I followed those steps, somehow it helped the performance of my Imac, is faster now, but the screen issue about the very High contrast colours is still there. Since I am a photographer I am very depending on the screen calibration. I am worried that I came to damage the video card when I shut down the computer from the swicth when It was frozed.

Can I turn off the iMessage typing indicator bubble with the three dots off?

I currently use software on iOS 6 that disables my outgoing bubble with the three dots that lets whoever I'm communicating with know that I'm typing. I want to update to iOS 7, but can't find any information about whether the option to disable the indicator is present in the new settings. Thanks in advance to anyone who can't point me in the right direction.

Hi, I'd like to buy a 13 inch macbook air. My biggest concern is to get one that doesn't have high EMFs to it and that has low heat. Which one would you suggest? The older 2010, or the 2011 with the i5 chip or the newest with the i7 chip?

My biggest concerns are:
1. Which has the least amount of EMFs? I'm sensitive to that and have enjoyed my iPad (original) that has no EMF fields.
2. Which runs the coolest?
I want the 128 gig one. Which would fit my requirments, the 2010 with the 2 Core Duo, the 2011 I believe it is with the i5 chip, or the newest one with the i7 chip? From the reviews I have read, it sounds like the one with the i7 chip runs the hottest.
I'm sure I am missing a whole lot of information, please fill me in!

Changing the 13 inch screen resolution will unfortunately result in a less sharp display, simply because all these type of displays have an 'native' resolution which gives optimal results, leaving other settings less crisp. The 13 inch MBA panel has a native resolution of 1440x900, which is remarkable for a screen of that size (I have 17 inch widescreen monitors at work with that same resolution) but it can certainly be set at a lower figure.
The one area where the trackpad has benefits over a mouse is that you can use multi-touch gestures, just as on the iPad. That's a feature I really like, particularly being able to zoom in and out and scroll up and down, though of course other gestures are supported too. As such then it does indeed work much like the touch screen capaibilities of an iPad.
If you have a Mighty Mouse the one with the tiny scroll-ball on the top-front, then they are notorious for scrolling issues due to getting clogged up. They're not hard to clean, but the Mighty Mouse is notably inferior to the later Magic Mouse, which doesn't have a scroll-ball or wheel, but uses the whole top panel for scrolling using gestures in much the same way as a trackpad. I've found a Magic Mouse a good investment for any Bluetooth-capable Mac (which of course includes all MBA models).
[ON EDIT]: The MBA doesn't come with Flash, but it is a free download from Adobe, and is very simple to install. Just make sure you get the installer from Adobe.com and not any other location since there is some malware which masquerades as a Flash installer but is not safe to install! Beware though that Flash is very processor intensive, and if anything will run the MBA fans up to speed, and heat the system up, it is that.

Problem explanation
one of our branch which is connected via leased line is unable to run some of the reports if the report have a little more
data,
one report i tried its size is almost 900k ( they are using the same line since last three month and they are
able to run all reports before, bandwidth is 128k), if you run report browser search a little while
for output then displayed "The page cannot be displayed" if you look at the report log it's finished successfully.
I try to download the report rather opening in browser it reach to end of in downloading window at the end it display
this message
Internet explorer can not download getjobidxxx.xls from oracleaps.domain.com
The connection with the server was reset.
I want to mention one more thing there is a ISA server and firewall in between client and Server but its the same condition
for
head office client but they are able to run all report with out any error.
any one have idea??

I have a new hard drive and itunes and my computer (windows XP) no longer recognise my ipod. I also had the problem with the registry keys not being present but this has now been fixed. However i can no longer link my ipod up with itunes.

When I first tried itunes with my new hard drive there was the problem with the registry keys but something also flagged up about needing a signed driver. Is this anything to do with why Itunes and my computer no longer recognises when my ipod is linked up? Whatever i try under 'devices' my ipod is never available to sync up. If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this has not worked. I didn't have quicktime to begin with so I don't know if that makes a difference? After following the instructions, I get the "registry keys missing" problem appear again (which I've subsequently fixed again) and then when I connected the ipod I got the following message - 'Device driver software was not successfully installed'.
I've tried windows update but this doesn't do anything as '...the service is not running'.
Any suggestions?

Trax and kirt are correct. I'm pretty good with technology, being an engineer and all, and I can tell you for a fact that this 'swoosh' sound (triggered by a successfully sent SMS) can NOT be disabled from ANY menu in iOS 5. The ONLY way to disable it is to flip the silent switch on the left hand side of the phone. This is extremely annoying for some people (like trax, kirt, and myself). For what we pay for Apple products and, in particular, this phone, we simply didn't expect to have to deal with such annoyances. That's why we're Mac users. Please fix this bug.
I feel like I shouldn't have to say this but it bears repeating: turning off message sounds from the 'sounds' menu does not fix his problem. It still emits the swoosh noise. Whoever suggested this clearly didn't try it because it obviously doesn't work. Who posts a solution to a problem without knowing for a fact that their solution is correct? Actually your suggestions are the ones that i have tried. i have seen that you have tried to help others with this issue and the only one that i could find that said they found the problem said that it was an ilife update issue and it fixed it and i have no available updates. i know it has to do with something in photo stream because it happens when i create a new library and it is loading the photos but i get the message before i reach the maximum 1000 photos. so i've tried updating, new library(first backing up photos and then deleting them from iPhoto), reinstalling OSX many times, running disc utilities. I called Apple the first day i had this issue and i was the first person to call them for support with the retina display and i actually had it escalated to a senior advisor and we thought we fixed the problem but we did not. i am pretty fluent in dealing with troubleshooting these type of issues and this is the first time i'm reaching out to the community. i figured now that the retina has been out some time now that there would be an obvious answer to this issue. thanks for the quick reply.

Hmm that does sound a bit strange - I use a system quite similar to yours (XP, FF 3.6.3), and don't see this behaviour.
I would recommend trying to start Firefox in Firefox [[Safe Mode]] (make sure you close '''all''' running Firefox instances first), and see if this problem persists.
If not, it could be some add-on causing this behaviour - restart Firefox in Safe Mode, disable all add-ons, and enable them one by one to find the guilty one.
If it still happens in Firefox Safe Mode, some other program (or something in Windows itself) most likely is the cause. We may be able to help with this too, so let us know what works and provide as much additional information as possible to let us help you solve this.

Finding the record with the latest date

Hi,I am using CR 8 with an Access database which has a table that holds (multiple) sales records for each of our clients. I want to create a report that lists only the latest sale from each client. I am thinking that I first need to group by client and then create a sub-report that prints the necessary details of sales record with the latest date of sale. It's this last bit that I cannot figure out how to do. Can anyone suggest a way of doing this?Many thanks,sconlon

Charliy's suggestion if fine, and does require sorting and displaying in the group header/footer according to the sort order. In case it's not clear, when you print in the group header you are using the first record's data; when you print in the group footer you are using the last record's data (first and last within the group that is).
Personally, I'd group on the client have a group selection formula of:
{table.date_field} = maximum({table.date_field}, {table.client_id})
so that there's no date sort required as you'll only get one record per client group - assuming that each record has a unique date of course. I'd probably still suppress the details section and display in the group footer, but it wouldn't matter if you use the details section either.
I believe the benefit with the group selection formula is that any summary formulas, running totals etc. you use would only have the one record per client to work on, rather than including all of the suppressed records too.

"The bubble in the green background" indicates the message was an SMS (cellular text) message. If the background were blue, it would mean the message was an iMessage.
The difference is important. Your iPad is not a cellular telephone. It cannot send or receive cellular text or MMS messages. It is, however, an Apple device which means it can communicate using Apple's iMessage to/from other Apple devices (typically over WiFi).
