Autocorrect words cannot be dismissed on some forms

I have this annoying problem since iOS 4.3. In some webapps the autocorrect suggestion cannot be dismissed. Even though the x is displayed no matter how hard I try there is no way to click it. This happens in many websites. While setting the status in the Facebook webapp for example. Anyone else has this problem?
Until now I was very used to autocorrect but this is almost forcing me to turn it off.

Cannot catching events on some forms.

Hello,
When you go to Issue for Production and click Production Order cfl will pop up with production orders currently available and then when you select one or more orders another form will show with all the items from production orders selected from cfl.
I created very similar workflow but I cannot catch events with that latter form (the one that displays items from selected production orders). I would like to be able to react to item pressed event or item click.
It seems as if I cannot catch events on a form created inside cfl.
What is going on?

Word cannot find server on some links

Two days ago Word 2008 suddenly stopped being able to open URLs for some sites (SoundCloud mainly). Howver the same links work when copied into Safari or a mail message. The error message is that 'Unable to open (url) cannot locate the internet server or proxy server'. SoundCloud support have spent some time trying to see if it is their end causing the problem, but they cannot find an issue, so conclude it is my word/office for mac. On a pc, the solution seems to be registry repair. Is their a solution on mavericks?

I'm working on a 60 pg. document, and when I hit 'save', I get this annoying msg.:
"word cannot complete the operation because too many files are open." I have no other files open, and I am unable to continue to work, because I cannot save - can anyone help? Thanks!

Have you been able to save the file at all?
More than anything, it seems to be a bug when you're trying to save to a server. There's more on the problem here. So what you can also try is simply saving the file to your desktop, or somewhere on your Mac's hard drive. That way you're saving the file locally instead of to a server. If that works, you've at least saved the file and can continue on. Otherwise, read on.
If you can't do it from Word, then at least save your changes from another application. Open TextEdit. You should get a blank file on the desktop. Make sure it's set as a rich text file. You'll know just be looking at it. If you see a ruler and other buttons at the top of the TextEdit document window, it's rich text. If not, make it rich text by pressing CommandShiftT.
Copy and paste your entire Word text into the TextEdit window. Save the TextEdit document to the desktop. Now that you've at least gotten your work saved, you can try some other things.
If you're not trying to work on the file from, or save it to a remote server, then don't worry about the first workaround. It doesn't apply. Number two was poorly worded by John. He seems to assume everyone knows what RH is. I had to look it up. It means Remote Home folder. So open the Word preferences and click on FIle Locations. Highlight the first choice, Documents, and click on the Modify button. Choose any location you want on your Mac's hard drive. Click "Choose" and close the preferences. Can you now save the document to the folder you defined as the default save location?
Spotlight is that little magnifying glass in the upper right corner of your screen by the time/date. There are a few methods to disable Spotlight. What John is saying that if the Mac is spending a lot of time indexing your drives at the same time you're trying to save your Word document, the intense processing time to index may be keeping Word from saving.
If you've managed to at least save your file as a rich text TextEdit document, then shut all of your applications down and restart your Mac. Launch Word and open the TextEdit file. You may lose some formating if you've done tables or other things TextEdit can't save in Word's original form.

Oracle Forms 11gR2 - Cannot deploy locally from within Forms

I cannot deploy locally from within forms. The server is up and running and I can deploy the form by putting the correct URL in the address line of the browser window. When I try to deploy from within forms it comes up with some crazy URL that differs everytime.
This is what the URL should be and this works from the browser:
http://machinename:7002/forms/frmservlet?form=WRD608ADMIN_11g.fmx&userid=&otherparams=useSDI=yes
Here is one of the URLs it came up with when I try to run it from within Forms:
http://localhost:60231/lysVL2VjqT33znjfvLwanktVRxTIc6dEwVeRNXXRmhYU2qjf
Localhost is always there, but the rest varies.
In Forms, I have the Preferences, Runtime set to:
http://machinename:7002/forms/frmservlet
Where machine name is my PC, it is the same for this address as the URL above that works directly from the browser.
So what am I missing?

Generally speaking, it is discouraged to manually edit any of the configuration files if they are managed by WLS Console or EM. In this case, default.env is managed by EM. Therefore, changes to the file should be done through EM. If however, you want to alter the file manually, the following is likely the best way to accomplish this:
1. Stop the WLS Admin Server and Node Manager
2. Locate the proper file you wish to edit. By proper I mean, there are several copies of most config files. Most of the config files found in the Oracle Home are actually template files and are not used at runtime. Altering these will not give you the change you want. The default.env you want would be here (assuming Windows)
C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\ClassicDomain\config\fmwconfig\servers\WLS_FORMS\applications\formsapp_11.1.2\config
If you are using a "Development" installation type, the above path will reflect AdminServer instead of WLS_FORMS. Remember that Development installations are not for multi-user purposes. Production deployments require the "Deployment" installation type, which can also include the Builders.
Do NOT make any changes yet.
3. Once you find the correct file, create a backup copy. Then open the file for edit (not the backup).
4. Make the desired changes and save.
5. Restart Node Manager and Admin Server if you plan to use them.

You can't fix it. iTunes bought content is DRM protected. so it can only be played on authorized devices. i.e devices associated with the apple Id used to purchase the content. Its copyright protection that the rights owners demand.
Circumventing it, is illegal in most countries, and as such cannot be discussed here. If you want to play the content you'll need to connect your computer directly to your TV, or use some other device you can authorize for iTunes content such as an iPad, iPhone , iPod touch or Apple Tv.

Since this is isolated to a single file, try exporting it to Interchange Format (.inx), then open and save the resulting file as a new InDesign file.
Since the problem occurs during export, that may not be possible. Another option to try would be to copy all elements, page by page, and "paste in place" into a new document the same size. If you used layers, be sure to enable "paste remembers layers" in the layers panel menu.
This kind of problem is often indicative of an underlying font issue. You said there are only three fonts, and you should verify that in Type > Find Font... Try replacing, at least temporarily the fonts in use with something else that you know to be reliable from other documents. You might want to do this before the other steps.

XML Report output giving error "word cannot open the file because....

Hi All,
Greetings!
I have a standard report, 'Payables Posted Invoice Register".
The report was going in to warning beacuse of some Invalid characters in the Data.
I corrected the invalid characters and then ran the report ; it completed fine.
But now when I try to open the report output, the output is not getting open but its allowing me to save the file.
When I save it on my local machine and try to open it, I am getting an error as "word cannot open the file because it is larger than 512 megabytes".
The document size showing is 664MB when I saved it on my machine. And the output type of the report is RTF and not PDF.
Can anybody please help?

We are currently migrating from Designer 6.0 with Headstart 2.1.2 to Designer 6i release 4.10 with Headstart 6.5.3.0. We have a form with an action item in it to call another form. An error FRM-41351 "Cannot navigate out of current form" is raised when the following steps are undertaken:
- Start the generated form (from the menu).
- Push the button the call the second form.
- Close the second form.
- Close the first (parent) form.
If we start and close the first (parent) form without have started the second one, this error is not raised.
After some investigation, the problem seems to have something to do with the library OFGNAVL65.PLL. It looks the generated form tries to close a window based on a non-existent ID.
Has anyone experienced this same problem? Can you help me?

Unable to open some forms

I have installed Adobe reader. I am able to open some forms from a particular website, but not others. The one I need it a fillable online PDF form. Why am I not able to open this form when I can open others in the same format from the same website?

I need some help on the Forms issue, users unable to open the Forms it gives following error.
FRM-40010: Cannot read form /ul01/app/applmgr/lasrx/gl/11.5.0/forms/US/GLXIQACC.fmx.
In fact those fmx are not in the above path, its in different mount point /ul03/app/applmgr/lasrx/gl/11.5.0/forms/US/GLXIQACC.fmx.Please post the output of the following commands:

$ echo $GL_TOP
Was APPL_TOP set properly when you cloned the instance?
I am not sure from where it's reading the .fmxIt reads from the value of $GL_TOP
Could anybody tell where to check , might be some environmental files.Check the application context file as well as the application env file (search for u101 and replace it with u103). If you change the context file, run AutoConfig and bounce all the services.

I need to disable 'SAVE' button on 'FILE' menu on some forms using personalization. Please let me know if you know how to do this. Currently we have done this through custom.pll and we are trying to phase out custom.pll. Any help is appreciated.

You don't need conversion programs, iTunes can copy most of your content over to the iPad via the file sharing section, and some apps also support Dropbox, email attachments, transfer via your wifi network. There are a number of apps that you can get that support Microsoft office file (microsoft don't make an app versions of their software) e.g. from Apple there are Pages (word support), Numbers (excel) and Keynote (powerpoint), and from third-parties there are apps such as Documents To Go and QuickOffice HD

We are migrating an application from developer 6 to developer
6i, and we have some pls/sql libraries attached to our forms;
the libraries were recompiled, reattached and the forms were
recompiled too, neverthelse when we try to run the forms from
the Web Application Server, we got the error FRM-40039 Cannot
Attacth Library While Openning Form xxx. Also we set the
FORMS60_PATH with the current librarie's path.

1. Do we have to place the PLL in the FORMS_PATH all the time. If i don't want to then what is the alternativeThere is no alternative. You can't expect the Forms Builder to read your PL/SQL Library if it can't find it. Therefore, you have to have the .pll some where the Forms Builder can* find it. This means you have to have it in a directory in your FORMS_PATH or you have to hard code the path to the library (this is not recommended at all because you would have to duplicate this path on your deployment AIX environment).

Notifications cannot be dismissed

Notification banners cannot be dismissed and won't go away. When I hover over the notification, I get the spinning wheel. All of my notifications preferences are set to either Banner or None. I'd say this is a bug If someone can help me with a workaround, I would appreciate it. For now, I have all preferences set to None, but I don't have any control over notifications for the App Store updates (and possibly others). So far, the only way I've managed to get rid of them is to restart.

Did you try a full re-start of the Playbook and the phone?
On the Playbook, hold down for about 8 seconds the tiny red "OFF" key on the top of it. This will force a full re-start.
On the phone, do a battery pull for about 1 5 seconds. Some people also suggest to also pull the SIM card for a few seconds and put it back in before re-installing the battery. This should also re-set the SIM card.
If the above does not work, I would suggest calling tech support for the Playbook. There seems to be a number of unusual descriptions here.
About a month ago, I had an issue where the screen was not responding to finger swipes. I had to make a full re-set to get it to start working. I rarely have any issues with this tablet. It has been extremely reliable. I use it for about 3 to 5 hours many days of the week.
