Hello,
I just installed two exchange 2013 CAS servers in my existing Exchange 2010 organization, and am having question regarding Autodiscoverserviceinternaluri chang. Please help
Current setting on Exchange 2010
AutoDiscoverServiceInternalUri       : https://cas1.domain.local/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml
I will have Exchange 2010 and 2013 in co-existence for a while so to gradually transit to Exchange 2013. According to Exchange server deployment assistant, I need to change autodiscoverserviceinternaluri on Exchange 2010 CAS server to  autodiscover.company.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml,
which I have configured on Exchange 2013 CAS server.
What is the proper steps to make the change so there will be little user interruption? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have exported Exchange 2010 certificate and imported to Exchange 2013 CAS servers. The cert has the SAN entry of "mail.domain.com" which is the autodiscoverinternaluri value
After I make the change on Exchange 2010 CAS server, will the user get any error or warning when they restart Outlook?
If the cert is trusted and valid, the user will see no errors or warnings.

    I have a canvas which displays several components using dynamic visibility. I need to duplicate this canvas for 8 other worksheets within excel...all of which will be in the same format as my original.
    I added a tab component to the canvas and copied everything 8 times, and I also copied the original worksheet 8 times.
    I have everything I need now, but all the components are still pointing to the original worksheet.
    Is there a simple way to change the 8 other canvases so each component will point to the proper worksheet. Currently I'm changing each component individually to point to the proper worksheet. This is time consuming due to the number of components that need to be changed.
    Is there an easier way to do this? Can you change all the components on a canvas to point to a different worksheet at one time?

    So as far as the ping goes - I have split DNS setup, and they both point to the internal local IP of the exchange server (when inside our network, obviously).  Externally mail.externalname.com will point to the public IP.
    Here is the output from the commands - they all look like they should imo and thats why I dont understand why this is still pulling server.local for the server name:

    We've got a client who changed its Company Name just after the migration of 2010 => 2013.
    All mailboxes are moved to 2013.  Now we need to change their external/internal urls without user interruption...

    If the domain name is changed, please check the email address policy for all domain users. If all users are using the new domain, the old domain would never be used and all DNS records have been changed to new domain, we can run the following commands to

  • Changing autodiscover to point to external server dns

    I had to change our autodiscover service because the local domain was on the certificate.  I've gone through all the steps, uploaded the new cert, and everything is working fine.  However, autodiscover still connects to mail.domain.local, instead
    of mail.domain.com.  Thus, a user leaves the environment, exchange wont connect without a VPN connection.  I can not for the life of me figure out how tell autodiscover to use the public mail DNS entry, instead of the local one.  I dug down
    to find the service connection point record (SCP) is labeled as the "Localserver"  Is this what i need to change to make this work right?
    Exchange 2010 environment as well.
    If the above wasn't clear, when I open outlook and it goes through autodiscover, it populates "server.local" rather than "mail.domain.com".

  • Server name in outlook profile stay the same after SSL changed from local to public fqdn

    I switched our UCC certificate for exchange 2010 so that it is no longer include .local in it. I used different FQDN url for external and internal (i.e externaURL is ExSrv.abc.com and internalURL is InSrv.abc.com). After I changed all settings, I found that
    the outlook profiles are still using the internal server name (i.e. myexchangesrv.abc.local). Is this normal? Should I expect the server name to be the new internalURL? The following are the commands I used and I also used EMC to change the OWA and ECP's internal
    URL to "InSrv.abc.com" as well. Did I missing anything?

    Hi,
    When an Outlook client goes to connect to an Exchange 2010 database, it looks at an attribute associated with the mailbox database called RPCClientAccess to determine which client access server/client access server array to use for connectivity.
    Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 clients do not pickup this change automatically when you change the value of RPCClientAccess server, you need to repair Outlook Profile to update new RPC endpoint.
    However, be careful to Change this property, because this can broke Outlook Clients to Exchange:

    Meanwhile, this attribute must be point to client access server or client access server array. You must have an CAS array named “InSrv.abc.com” as your expected.

  • BADI for changing fields during Creation of BP in CRM

      I need to find a BADI (or other way) to default several fields during BP creation in CRM (4.0 SR1 SP9). The fields I will like to set are TAX TYPE, TAX NUMBER, TAX CATEGORY, etc.. I have found the BADI BUPA_TAX_UPDATE but i dont see any suitable parameters (structures) to changes these fields. Please advice and thanks in advance.

    If you use function BUPA_NUMBERS_GET then your BP number will already be buffered and you can avoid a DB read. It may also be that the BP is not in the DB yet anyway.
    You can only pass one GUID in at a time - loop through IT_CHANGED_INSTANCES into a variable of type BU_PARTNER_GUID and pass that into the function as input parameter IV_PARTNER_GUID.

    As per SAP Standard, when the main Item quantity is changed, the Free Goods are redetermined. In this case any manual changes to Free Goods Quantities are lost.
    But your requirement is for restricting the Chages of the Quantity of Free Goods Correct?
    I believe there is no SAP standard solution for this. You will have to apply a User Exit, which will check the Item category of each LIne item & if it is free goods (TANN) then changes are not permitted.

    But your requirement can be done with 'AT NEW' and 'AT END' statement.
    Refer this sample example,

    Did you check the Zoom setting?
    Have you tried a reset (reboot)? Hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears.
    If it isn't Zoom and a reboot doesn't help try Settings/General/Reset - Reset all settings

  • Email address change--how does this affect laptop and nook?

    I use my Adobe ID only to authorize my laptop and Nook.  I need to change my email address which seems easy on the FAQs, but how do I then reauthorize my laptop and Nook?  And, if I do this, are all my existing library books unreadable since they were downloaded by what the Nook thinks is a different user?  I'm almost sure I won't be able to return any books in ADE on my laptop, but I can live with that if I can still read the books on the Nook.

    You should take a look at the [[Downloads window]] and [[Options window - General panel]] Knowledge Base articles. They will give you all the details you need. Unless you are talking about the default action and not the actual download folder? If so, you should look at [[Options window - Applications panel]].

  • How do I use Sun Web Server 7.0u1 reverse proxy to change public URLs?

    Some of our installations use the Sun Web Server 7.0 (update 1, usually)
    for hosting some of the public resource and reverse-proxying other parts
    of the URI namespace from other backend servers (content, application
    and other types of servers).
    So far every type of backend server served a unique part of the namespace
    and there was no collision of names, and the backend resources were
    published in a one-to-one manner. That is, a backend resource like, say,
    http://appserver:8080/content/page.html would be published in the internet
    as http://www.publicsite.com/content/page.html
    I was recently asked to research whether we can rename some parts of
    the public URI namespace, to publish some or all resources as, say,
    http://www.publicsite.com/data/page.html while using the same backend
    resources.
    Another quest, possibly related in solution, was to make a tidy url for the
    first page the user opens of the site. That is, in the current solution when
    a visitor types the url "www.publicsite.com" in his or her browser, our web
    server returns an HTTP-302 redirect to the actual first page URL, so the
    browser sends a second request (and changes the URL in its location bar).
    One customer said that it is not "tidy". They don't want the URL to change
    right upon first rendering the page. They want the root page to be rendered
    instantly i the first HTTP request.
    So far I found that I can't solve these problems. I believe these problems
    share a solution because it relies on ability to control the actual URI strings
    requested by Sun Web Server from backend servers.
    Some details follow, now:
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes
    only the $uri value which was originally requested by the browser. I didn't
    yet manage to override this value while processing a request, not even if
    I "restart" a request. Turning the error log up to "finest" I see that even
    when making the "service-passthrough" operation, the Sun Web Server
    still remembers that the request was for "/test" (in my test case below);
    it does indeed ask the backend server for an URI "/test" and that fails.

    finally,when you are satisfied, you might have to run the following command to make your manual change into admin config repository.
    <install-root>/bin/wadm pull-config user=admin config=<hostname> <hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm deploy-config --user=admin <hostname>

    pl. understand that - like with more web servers - ordering of directives is very important within obj.conf. so, you might want to make sure that you verify the obj.conf directive ordering is what you want it to do..
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes
    only the $uri value which was originally requested by the browser. I didn't
    yet manage to override this value while processing a request, not even if
    I "restart" a request. Turning the error log up to "finest" I see that even
    when making the "service-passthrough" operation, the Sun Web Server
    still remembers that the request was for "/test" (in my test case below);
    it does indeed ask the backend server for an URI "/test" and that fails.
    now, you are in the totally wrong direction. web server 7 includes a highly integrated reverse proxy solution compared to 6.1. unlike 6.1, you don´t have to download a separate plugin . however, you will need to manually migrate your 6.1 based reverse proxy settings into 7.0. please check out this blog link on how to set up a reverse proxy

    if you don´t plan on using ws7 integrated web container (ability to process jsp/servlet), then you could disable java support as well. this should reduce your server memory footprint
