Automate Import/Export Runbooks
Looks like it's been a while since this was asked... Are there any methods to automatically import Runbooks into Orchestrator? How about auto Export?
I'm building independent cloud environments using Orchestrator, and it actually deploys another independent Orchestrator in each environment. I'd love to be able to automatically populate that Orchestrator with pre-defined Runbooks.
Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks.

How to automate Import/export Essbase data 11.1.2
Hi,
After migration from Dev to Test environment using LCM (EPMA Planning, Shared services) I have questions:
1) How to automate export from source and import in Destination?
2) If we have enabled MSAD in shared services, What should be standard practice to sync provisioning in both environment?
Regards
KumarHi John,
I see only Native directory
Application Group>Foundation>shared services> - Native directory
- Task flows
Application Group>Foundation>shared services> - Native directory>assigned Roles> foundation>shared services
I feel MSAD should be here but not sure as it is just new environment and we enabled MSAD.
Please suggest where can i check Import/export in LCM 11.1.2?
Regards
Kumar

Automate Outlook Contact import/export?
I am in the process of developing a contact management system
for my company and have built coldfusion pages that allow the user
to import their personal contacts from outlook, as well as export
contacts from the system into their MS Outlook contacts.
The process is fairly simple on the users (in my mind) but it
requires using Outlook's import/export function, which is about 6
or 7 steps. My users would of course like to have this process
simplified.
Is it possible to have a button on one of my pages that
automates the entire process? i.e. creates the csv file (or
whatever other format is needed) and then automatically pushes that
data into outlook (and vice versa) ?
Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated! If your Outlook users are using Exchange you might look into
ColdFusion's Exchange features.

Attunity connectors for Oracle in Import Export Wizard in SQL Server 2008 R2
Is there a way we can see the Attunity connectors drivers in the Import/Export Wizard (64 bit) for SQL Server 2008 R2?
Although I made it work for SSIS, I would need these drivers in the Import/Export wizard so as to automate it for numerous number of tables which I want to migrate.
Can the Attunity connectors for Oracle be used in the Import/Export wizard? If so please let me know.
Regards,
Ashutosh.
Ashutosh.I have 100 tables to migrate. Creating a data flow for each table is tedious and that's why I was looking out for a way to do it through import export wizard so that I don't have to create a separate data source and destination for each table in the Data
flow Task.
Is there a way to loop through all tables and transfer data in SSIS without having multiple sources and destinations created for each table? This also involves a bit of transformation as well.

Ashutosh. -
Automating the import / export process in 9.0.2
In Portal 3.0.9.x the export and import were entirely command-line driven tools, so it was possible to automate the process to a certain degree.
In 9.0.2 the import/export process is a combination of scripts and manual actions through the Portal UI to import and export the transport sets.
Is there any way in 9.0.2 to automate this process ?You make me feel better. I am having THE problem. Logs say it was all a success but NOTHING is imported. I tried with portal 9.0.2.2.22 on Win2000 and now I'll try it on 9.0.2.2.14A on Sun. What did you use?

Automatic determination export license failing
Hi friends,
I have some problem with automatic license determination.
I have generated license with ECCN(5A992) & Country of Destination (CN), but still SO displaying message as is blocked(License Master) in ECC
When I have checked log for the orders in GTS and it has following details
Country determined for relevent partner "CN" country
Selection criteria for import/export license
Status : 0004
Export/Import Classification No: 5A992
Country of Departure/Destination : CN
Could Not find any import/export licenses
Actually License is available in that combination "NLR"
product classified with ECCN
License determination rule maintained
partners and material are transferred, mapping is maintained.
Did any body faced this type of same problem? I am missing something
Thanks,Hi Kiran,
To find out the actual problem, try assigning the license to the SO manually. If there is any problem with the license or in the config it can be easily traced.
If manual assignment is successfully done, then there would be some problem with the determination strategy.

SAP HANA: IMPORT/EXPORT Views
We can Import/export tables using hdbsql CLI.
But Is there any way by which we can export/import Views(attribute, analytic, calculation) using hdbsql CLI.
I raised above question some days back
SAP HANA: IMPORT/EXPORT Views | SCN
Also while checking on internet I found another link for the same issue:
http://scn.sap.com/thread/2141404
And from experts answers, I came to conclusion that Import/Export Views(Attribute/Analytic/Calculation views)in SAP HANA is not possible through hdbsql CLI/ SQL commands. Now Is there a way where I can confirm this from SAP HANA program management guys?Lars,
Thanks for the explanation.
What I am trying to achieve is to create an automate script which should export all tables and views for a schema and again import tables and views in a different schema.
table part is done, But stuck in view part.
I tried the below command and was able to export the calculation view which I created in Content and exists as
_SYS_BIC-->Package(same name as schema where all the tables are stored) --> View Name.
Command used was:
EXPORT "<Schema_Name>"."<Package_Name>/<View_Name>" INTO '<path>'
Now I have 2 ques :
1) I am not sure how to import this exported view. I tried below command but it failed:
IMPORT "<Schema_Name>"."<Package_Name>/<View_Name>" FROM '<path>'
2) Not sure how to export and import all the views.
I did IMPORT SCAN of the path as well and found below entries for the exported view in the mentioned path:
SCHEMA_NAME, OBJECT_NAME, OBJECT_TYPE, EXISTS
"_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/CalculationViewName>", "VIEW", 1
"_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/AnalyticViewName>", "VIEW", 1
"_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/CalculationViewName>/olap", "VIEW", 1
"_SYS_BIC", "vwTile1ALLData", "VIEW", 1
Any Inputs would definitely help. Thanks. -
Hi
During process of import/export fin.reports from Workspace, do i need to move user's rights on this reports or they move automatically?

SashaYou'll need to setup any permissions again, unless you import to a folder which has the correct permissions set for itself and children.

Hi
I just finished a sketch of my project and I'm about to build it in siena. I'll be able to build almost everything with this version of siena. However one important feature is still missing and before I start to build it I would like to know if you planning
to implement the feature into siena or no.
I need a command for importing and exporting data or ability to chose a location for saving and loading data. I need to share app data with other users on company network and I don't want the data to be save on device. I can't use a internet so the
only way is local network
Please answer this. It's very important. I don't want to start something what I can't finish
ThanksHi thorwn
In today version:
You can save load data but only somewhere in your device so the saved data can not be shared with other device
You can import export data even multiple data but only by pressing import export button so an importing or exporting can not be done without user intervention.
I need to save or export data each time I collect or update collection into already predefined location
so the data can be shared between multiple devices
without user intervention.
For example: I have two users in one company with two devices. First user collect a collection in the app and automatically save it on a network. Second user open the app and he will see the change what first user did.
(Once again I can't use internet connection)
The solution: In collect button
OnSelect: Collect(collection: ID:1, Name:"XYZ"); Export(collection, "C:\Shared\Appdata\collection")
In screen with collection
OnScreenLoad: Import(collection,"C:\Shared\Appdata\collection")
The location for saving and loading can be saved and modified on device. Import(collection, savedLoacation) -

Realize an automatic import of events to ical
hi people,
I have a question. We have our own software platform with a calender of golf tournaments.
We want to create an automatic import of events to ical from our own software program so we can post it on the external golf pages of a course.
Does anybody know how to do this or how much effort this is?
Thanks for all the help!
JorisHi Angela,
Take a look at these two tools available from the Application Express studio -
http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=18326:44:4122004736781731::::P44_ID:1462
http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=18326:44:4122004736781731::::P44_ID:2262
They are Java tools that can be used to perform automatic exports of applications which should help you to do what you want to do. -
Does Import/Export Utility check for Block corruption?
Hi All,
Just a quick question I have is does Import/Export Utiligy check for any block corruption while importing or exporting?
If yes then does it do automatically or we have do set some parameter explicitly.
I am using oracel version 9.2.0.6.
Thx in advance.Hi yingkuan/kanchan
Thx for your prompt reply. Still I am not clear as you said that export check for the block corruption error and if there is any it will display the error message in log file. But does it copy corrupted block or skip that block or mark that block as corrupted?
Thx in advance.

Will iphoto automatically import just the new pics?
I just bought a imac g5. i'm upgrading from a g3 and os9.2. i'm new to os10 and iphoto.
previously i imported pictures from my camera. i've taken some more pics since and want to import them. however, i never deleted the older pics from the camera. when i plug in the camera the import screen indicates that it'll import 300+ pics.
will iphoto automatically import just the new pics? if not, what should i do?Back again...
--First thing to know and remember is this...Do not drag any images, folder of images into the iPhoto Library in the Finder. Images have to be imported into iPhoto within the application. Do not scan images and save them into the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder. Save them to another location such as the Pictures folder or even the desktop. You can then import them into iPhoto.
--You have a folder of images on your hard drive and want to import them into iPhoto. Drag the folder of images into an open iPhoto Library window and the folder of photos will be copied into the library, resulting in a new roll with the name of the folder. You now have two copies of those photos, the ones in iPhoto's database and the ones on your desktop. You can keep the ones on your desktop that you just imported as backup or you can delete that folder.
-- you scan a picture/pictures and save it in a folder. You cannot scan directly into iPhoto or the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder.
You want all your photos in iPhoto so you import them into iPhoto.
Now you have two copies of that picture/pictures, so you can delete the originals that were in the scanned folder and keep the one/ones that were imported into iPhoto.
-- You download pictures from your camera into iPhoto.
There is now one copy of each of the pictures.
You want to change something about a picture you imported, such as
cropping it or changing the size, or changing the orientation.
Once you do that to a picture, you now have two copies of the picture
in iPhoto, the original and the edited one. The edited one will be in the library organize view. The original is packed away in an Original folder in your iPhoto Library folder under the date of the roll. You can always revert to the original by control clicking on the photo and choose "revert to orginal" You will not have this choice if you used iPhoto Diet to get rid of the Originals.
(a quick note on cropping within iPhoto...when you are in edit mode, you automatically will be in the crop mode with cross hairs to highlight the crop area. To finish cropping you must click the crop button and then go back to library view and your cropped picture will be there.
3.You want to use Photoshop or another graphic program to edit a picture in your iPhoto library.
You can open up prefs for iPhoto and choose "when double clicking on
photo ..do" choose "other" and select Photoshop. Now you can edit all
pictures in your iPhoto library in PhotoShop by double clicking. If you save the photo with the same name and as a flattened file it will be saved right into iPhoto and you will see the changes. If you don't want to save it into iPhoto then do a "save as" and save to the desktop. You will then have the original photo still in iPhoto and your new edited photo on the desktop.
Or, with iPhoto open, you can drag a picture from the library window
to your desktop (you see a + sign on the pic you are dragging). You now
have two of the same picture, one in the iPhoto library and one on your desktop. You can open up the one on your desktop in any graphic program and work on it. The one in iPhoto stays the same. You can also share/export the picture/pictures to your desktop or folder to work on them or do batch processing, etc. You will still have the originals in your iPhoto Library.
Or, you can open up the ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library/folders and option drag any
picture out of the folder to your desktop. Notice that you will see a plus sign while dragging the photo. This is copying the file to your desktop
I would advise anyone not to do this as they might forget to use the option key and drag the photo out. Next time you open iPhoto the photo will be missing.

Re-Check Import/Export Documents
Could someone explain in what circumstances we would need to use the transaction: Re-Check Import/Export Documents, /SAPSLL/CUHD_MR_SPL.
ThanksHi,
Wehn we change some config settings in GTS, no need to go back to the ECC system and again check the effects... from here, we can recheck the customs document and find the changes reflecting.
It is something like assigning the new settings to the existing documents.
For Ex: We've modified the LC attachement from manual to Automatic, we can go to Re-Check option and enter the Ref. SO and find the details.....
Thanks and Regards,

How do I stop iTunes from automatically importing songs I listen to from my external hard drive into the music library?
Mac OS X: Double-Clicking a File Opens the Wrong Application - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2291
-= Changing the application used to open all files of a certain kind (written with reference to OSX 10.4 but may not have changed) =-
1) In a Finder window highlight a file of the kind you want to change the application to open that kind of file.
2) While that file is highlighted, select File > Get Info or press command (apple or propeller icon) + i to get a file information window.
3) In the lower part of the info window there is an "open with" menu with a list of applications.
4) If your application is already in the box then it is the default application for opening that kind of file and you don't need to do anything more. Close the get info window.
5) If the application showing in the menu is not the one with which you wish to open the file then select a new application. If your application does not appear there then select the "other..." and track down the application (usually in the Applications folder at the main level of the computer).
6) If you wish to change all files of this type to open with this application in future, make sure the "change all" button is selected.
7) Close the get info window.
