Automated installations/updates and CSA

Hello !
I'm getting a little bit tired of tunning my CSA rules everytime some new processes or actions are discovered. Let me explain: we're using MS SMS server for deploying software and windows updates, then we have McAfee AV server who is updating agents on PCs and then here is ScriptLogic with its funcionality of pushing various settings to different users. My problem (hope I'm not the only one) is that processes from this servers which need higher privileges to install what they have to are changing and is dificult to follow it. Has anyone any suggestion how to cope with it ? Is it possible to have some group of servers that you allow them to have no restrictions (for example by IP address) ?

I am told that CSA 4.5 will have this feature. I eagerly await it.
I created a group called Admin servers that are IP addresses trusted by every host. I also installed CSA on the servers to keep them honest. It works to limit all but global events.

OS X Installer Update

I bought my Wallstreet off EBay. Very happy with it. It came with 10.1.5 including the disks for 10.0 and 10.1 and a disk with .dmg files for security updates, installer updater and 10.1.5
The only problem is, to install stuff using the .pkg files I decompressed I must first update the installer. It will load the installer updater .pkg file, but it will ask me for a volume on which to install the installer update, then show me all my volumes grayed out.
Suggestions?

The classic issue? Do you mean the startup disk problem? Kinda. It works sometimes, and sometimes is freezes. Takes patience. It won't work with extensions off, and it won't work immediately after a forced restart. So, yeah, sorta.

My iTunes wont update, and I can't connect my new iPhone if it doesn't update. It says error when I try to update, and I cant download it because of a "Windows Installer" error...

I just not a new iPhone and in order to sync it I need the newest iTunes, but I can't update it! I tried checking for updates and then trying to downlaod it. I get this error: "Errors occured while installing the updates. If the problem persists, chose Tools > Download Only and try installing manually."
Where on earth is Tools anyway?
When I tried just reinstalling all of iTunes, I had a Windows Installer error...I don't even know what that is!

Hi - Recently I put the latest update on my LT15i (4.1.B.0.587), after this I rooted the phone, and everything seemed okay. But since then I keep getting an error message with an offer to download the 4.1.B.0.587 update and the note: "installation not possible" (because it's already there). The news line on top shows a red exclamation mark all the time. It seems to me that it is due to this error that I cannot partition my SD card. Does anybody have an idea how to fix that? I have a hp C410 all-in-one series printer. When I updated to 10.8.1 it was no longer supported. HP told me to go to the Apple system updates and download an installation program. I can't find that program in my Apple updates file.

Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it."

You purchased and Upgrade copy of Acrobat which has this requirement instead of a Full copy of Acrobat which does not have that requirement. You need to go back to your Reseller or Adobe and explain that you purchased the incorrect version.

Why is the download speed for Creative Cloud updates and initial software installation so slow?

Why is the download process for Adobe Creative Cloud updates and initial installations so slow? I can download and update other software from other providers almost an order of magnitude faster. This slow download problem has been present since I started using Creative Cloud soon after it was initially offered.
Adobe customer support maintains that there is no throttling at Adobe's end, and that no one has complained about this problem -- this forum shows the latter not to be true.
What is the problem?

I don't think I've ever checked the download speed but the installers are definitely large files, many several GB. It might seem longer because the download immediately progresses into the installation at 50%

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Dashboard, Updater and installer quitting after 10.4.7 update

Since I did the last update for software and installed the 10.4.7 update many of my applications are behaving strange. Widgets, updater and installer quit unexpectedly when started up.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem and/or what caused it?

Update and installation problems

I am having issues with Creative Cloud updates and installations.
None of my Apps will update. I am prompted to update, I click the update button, Cloud says "updating software" but all attempts stop at 0%.
Similar issues Installing Apps. Installations start but all stop at 90%. No error messages at all.
This is extremely frustrating and all my Apps are in need of updates to fix minor bugs which are effecting my workflow.

We can't know. You have not provided any exact system info or other details like the install/ update logs. You can always run the cleaner and start from scratch.

Usually occurs on devices that have either been jailbroken or attempts have been made to downgrade the iOS. You can try putting it in DFU mode to restore but you may not be able to fix it. If you phone has been jailbroken we can't support you in these forums as it is against the terms of use.

Conflict - CS6 updater and CC installer/updater

Hi Folks,
Anyone else have this problem? I installed CC on my iMac with CS6. Now in the menu bar I have both the icon for the CS6 updater and that for the CC installer/updater. The CS6 updater shows an update is ready. That icon gives me only one choice, Open updater, and when I do, the CC installer/updater opens. But the CC installer/updater shows no new update. I am attaching a screenshot, the CS6 updater icon is the first on the left in the menu bar and the CC installer is immediately to its right.
Anyway to get rid of the CS6 icon? Anyway to resolve this conflict?

Thanks for the reply. I have done as ou instructed, but get a window in the CC installer/updater of "You Have No More Requests."
Still, that "1" remains next to the CS6 updater.
On my laptop, the CS6 updater went away, so I have only the CC icon. In my laptop's CC installer/updater this morning was an update for Premier CS6. No such update appears on my iMac in CC installer/updater even though the Premier CS6 is on that machine as well. The settings in Preferences for CC installer/updater are the same on both my MacBook Pro and my iMac.
Any other ideas?
