Automated JSFL with Save As older Flash Version

Is there a command for jsfl to automatically save the fla-file as CS5.0 or CS5.5 (with CS5.5 or CS6)? With this script one could avoid the annoying "save as" command, when you are working with multiple versions of Flash.

Hi,
While saving the copy of created pdf in reader 10 or above, if i enable Save As optimizes for Fast web view links stop working else they are working fine. Can you help me with how to uncheck this option automatically. Please provide a solution as i have been looking for the resolution for last couple of weeks and need to resolve asap.
Thanks,

  • Need to reduce `target-player` to support users with older Flash versions?

Right now we are currently compiling ZeroClipboard using the Flex 4.6 SDK, which has a minimum (and default) "target player" version of 11.1.  I am uncertain if this is preventing users with Flash 10.x from utilizing ZeroClipboard but the documentation I found related to this certainly suggests that may be the case:
Use the target-player compiler option to specify the version of Flash Player that you want to target with the application. Features requiring a later version of Flash Player are not compiled into the application.
One reason for setting the target Player version is if you are unsure of Player usage penetration rates and want to choose a Player version that is lower than the most recent one. Another reason is if your users are locked in to a particular Player version, such as when they are on an intranet and cannot upgrade.
If users with older versions of Flash (i.e. 10.x) cannot use ZeroClipboard because of this, I would've expected more bug reports on it by now.  However, as Adobe is pretty good about pushing Flash Player updates out, perhaps most users have already upgraded to 11.x.
Can anyone confirm or reject this hypothesis?  Obviously our goal would be to support as many realistic user configurations as possible (i.e. support both Flash Player 10.x and 11.x with a single SWF).

Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

Just to add to this thread the links I posted in the other one:
I can't speak to anecdotes like parents' or friend's computers, but in general Flash Player 10 is extremely widely available -- installed on over 95% of the world's desktops & laptops.  There are more people still using IE 6 than there are people lacking FP 10.  Even in enterprises, which tend to upgrade very slowly, FP 10 is probably on well over 75% of computers by now.
Catalyst projects truly require Flex 4, which truly requires FP 10... there's not much getting around that.  If you absolutely must support FP 9, one option is to use Catalyst purely as a mockup/prototyping tool (for user testing, client/executive approval of designs, etc.) and then build the final app from scratch in Flex 3.  You won't be able to directly reuse most of the material you created in Catalyst, but it can still be a valuable tool in this workflow -- we've heard from many people that Catalyst lets them create mockups far more quickly than tools they've used in the past.
    Hope that helps!

  • Copying Older Flash Plugin For Proper Functionality

    Hi Gang
I currently have 3 Older Power Mac Desktop G5's using 10.4.11 - all with Safari 4.1.3 and Ten Four Fox 4.0.1.
I will NOT download a newer OS - I have older Pro Software which works FINE
Two of my G5's are identical Dual Core 2.0 - the other an older 1.8 Single Processor. They run like tops!
The Dual Core G5 browsers work fine with older Adobe Flash Plug In: version 10.0 r45 (see screen shots below).
Apparently the older 1.8 does not have a Flash Player that will function properly. A reformat left me, (like other unfortunate souls), with NO archived Flash Player available, thanx to the Adobe Snobs. You might say older archived versions are available? Forget it. I've given up like so many others.
Wondering if I can simply copy the older Flash version directly off my other system and place it in my 1.8 SP G5?
    OR
    Am I missing something here?

    Mike,
Yes, you can just copy the components. The installer doesn't do any magic; it just puts the components in the right places. Be sure all your browser applications are not running before you copy over those files. You might want to run the uninstaller to clear out the current version before doing the manual copy job.
But... you need to look more carefully. The specific version you are looking for, 10.0 r45 for PPC (actually, a universal install) is on that page in the OLDER ARCHIVES section. Here is the direct link:

  • I have Firefox 3.6 on laptop and if I install the latest version of Adobe flash (version 10...) then if I go to a website with any sort of animation, firefox crashes immediately

I am not at my computer right now but I have Firefox version 3.6 (not 4). When I install the latest Adobe flash (version 10.something), my computer crashes whenever I go to any website with any form of information or data that requires the Adobe flash. For the past 2 weeks, I have been sending in the crash reports to Mozilla.

As of Firefox 4.0 and newer the Firefox builds from Mozilla requires both Mac OSX 10.'''5'''+ and a Intel.
Either you can use 3.6.19 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Though for you 3.6.18 will be safe also as 3.6.19 was to workaround a font crashing issue on 10.7 Lion that was not fixed in time on Lion before release. http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.18/mac/ and pick your language and download the Firefox 3.6.18.dmg

  • Deploying An Older/Specific Version of Flash Via MSI?

We have a vendor that is requiring a specific version of Flash as a fix to a problem with the Flash on their website.  Is it possible to deploy via GPO an older/specific version of Flash (10.0.32.18) using the MSI?  I already have Flash being deployed via GPO using an MSI but it's installing a newer version.  I need it to install the version listed above and I can't find any info on how to do this.

Hi, I'm not sure, perhaps another helper will reply to you. Normally the latest version of Flash Player improves or fixes a security issue in the previous versions. This vs 10.0.32.18 is 2 versions back and may cause other issues. I would think it would be better to try to fix the problem.
In addition you can refer to the Troubleshooting guide that states if a newer version of FP is Installed and you try to Install an earlier version, the Install would fail. There is a paragraph about this and a Tech note is listed also.

  • Help - lost motherboard, auto save saved older script, newer script actually with older date.

    Adobe story team:
I had a best script to date, on an older hard drive and the motherboard failed on my HP tower.  The sony laptop has a more recent dated script, but not the one I want.  How do I replace an "older" date script, one that I want for a newer script.  I don't want the newer script, I want the older one that is on a "pulled" hard drive again, from a tower that failed.
Do I save the older file on an offline, using a new ID, new password, forever changed or what can I do?
I need a fairly quick response, timing is critical.  HP tower is the problem.

    thanks

You have it half right.  the issue is the HP tower I had failed.  The mother board failed, I pulled the hard drive which is windows 7, I have a sony laptop which is in 32 bit vista, I am not sure if the different versions will be an issue.  can i take a file off the pulled hard drive and put it somewhere in a directory even with the different windows vista vs windows 7 if so which file should i copy on the pulled hard drive and where do i put it on the laptop, directory plus I will go back on online save it in the clouds and reformat the laptop and go to windows 7 then go back to adobe story  and go from there. thank you for your quick attention in this matter.

    Hi
I am not sure if I understand your problem correctly, but as far as I can make out you had been working on a script and then it got autosaved and now you wish to go back to the "older" script.
In order to do so you may visit your document's history through the View->History option. There you will see older versions of your document (if you had not turned off autoversioning). You may then open an older version of the document from the panel by double clicking on it. Once on an older version you will get to see the "Make Latest" option. Clicking on that will make the "older" state of your document your "current" state and then you may proceed to edit the document as usual.
I hope this is helpful to your situation. In case you face any issues in following the mentioned steps do let us know.
    Thanks

  • May I use Builder with older Flash files

That sums it up. Its a very simple question. I have used older versions of Flash to build many Flash files. I'm needing to redo my software and am wondering if Flash bulider, which is a good bit less coslty, to work with, modify, and add to my older files? Can I build new Flash files with the same functionality? Or..can I import older Flash files into builder and go from there?
This should be simple, and I appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

So I glanced at the source. Note that you are using the
AC_RunActiveContent script to embed your swf.
So I tried to go to that script at:
    http://www.christykarpinski.com/Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js
(The src of the script on the page is
"../../Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js" and the page is in: "
    http://www.christykarpinski.com/videos/pages")
I got a 404 on the script. Double check that
    http://www.christykarpinski.com/Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js
is the actual path where the file is located on your server.

  • Problems with the new flash version.

Turned on my computer (win 7, ff5) and found that both skype and youtube are crippled.
After some digging, it becomes clear that there has been a new flash version and im far from the only one with problems. I try to use the uninstaller - which works suspiciously quickly- and reinstall. I get a message saying that its already installed. When i try through firefox direct, it says an existing version may be in use.
So either the uninstaller or the installer is broken.
When on youtube for example, it alternates between telling me i need to update the plugin and to download  from adobe. I have now done this several times, following the instructions. No suscess.
Have tried to change the hardware accelleration off, but as i cant see anything thats flash.... its not going well.

    Is your Win7 32-bit or 64-bit?
    What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash (32-bit) / C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash (64-bit) ?

  • Save as older version of PDF

One of our users wants me to save a pdf file in 1.6 (Acrobat 7) format.  They also want the form to print duplex, flip on long edge.  It seems that whatever way I save the form in an older version (i.e. configure distiller, reduce file size or optimize the pdf) when I set the print to duplex and save the file the version is updating to 1.7 (Acrobat 8).  Please let me know if there is another way to do this.
    Thanks for the help!!

P.S. We are running Acrobat 8 Professional on a Windows Xp PC.

    Hi Bernd,
I tried using the optimizer and reduce file size methods and even tried configuring the distiller. Things look ok at first, but when I open the updated file the version of Acrobat changes to 1.7 (Acrobat 8) when I set the print to Duplex.  Is it possible that the the Duplex print is not an option in the 1.6 (Acrobat 7) version?
    Thanks for the help!!

  • Problems with Airport setup after buying Version 7 models, (older ones will not upgrade)

Problems with Airport setup after buying Version 7 models, (older ones will not upgrade)
I re set up my Airport network , having had 4 expresses for years doing a good job. I bought another and an express, but then a time capsule after my external drive died. .Problems with Airport setup after buying Version 7 models, (older ones will not upgrade)
I moved house and have fibre network so 38mb/s - they all look ok on the utility, but its not till I saw the App version that they are not compatible as mac will not upgrade the version 6 ones, leaving me with 2 disjointed networks and 7 appliances, 4 of the old , 3 of the new.
my new house is expansive so i wanted the extended range and airplay in each room.
This is not told to customers, and utility doesnt show any issues.
I do not seem to get any range from either network now, - and I'm quite experienced with airport (6 yrs of setting up & using & extending)
    Any advice ?

You could use Microsoft Office for Mac, but I would recommend iWork! It's a better set of applications for a much better price. I have used both and I prefer it over Office. And Pages can not only open Word documents, you can also save documents in Word format. My brother and I both used iWork as an Office substitute when we were in college (I graduated a few years ago and he just graduated last night) and haven't had any compatibility issues. Check it out here http://www.apple.com/iwork/

  • How to make my form be compatible with older adobe versions

    Hello,
I created a dynamic form with adobe lifecycle 9. As users try to use the form, they get this error:
"This PDF form requires a more recent version of Adobe® Reader® or Adobe Acrobat® software. While this form may appear to be working, some elements may not function correctly or may not appear at all."
Is there a way to make the form be compatible with older adobe versions?
    Thanks.

In the File Menu -> Form Properties under Default Tab, choose the Target Version of Adobe Reader that you expect users to have the minimum version.
If any of the functionality does not compatible with the selected version, then the warnings will be displayed under report tab. You can access it by going to Window menu -> Report.
    Thanks

  • CHOPPY FLASH VIDEO PLAYBACK WITH ADOBE FLASH VERSION 10-11

I'm  having a problem as described in a previous post re: Choppy flash videos, pictures, etc.. Youtube, megavideo any videos viewed online appear fine at first and then after 10-15 mins, start showing choppy. The audio was not a problem before, but I have noticed that it is being affected as well. I saw some posts on another forum a few days ago that recommended disabling flash player 11 in my chrome browser plugins and enabling verion 10 (which was available, but has since upgraded) and version 10 was working fine until it upgraded to 11 again. Now I have no options to revert to version 10 again.
    My system info is below:
    Sony:
    OS - Windows 7
    64 bit
    Browser Chrome 16.0.912.77
    Browser FireFox   9.0.1
    Browser IE 9
    Browser Safari 5.1.2
    Flash Player 11,1,102,55
McAfee (came with the upgrade of flash player)
This is very frustrating. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, rebooting the browser, my pc, deleting cache files and cookies...NOTHING IS WORKING. CPU usage is between 20-35% when a video is active in my browser. I think that is normal, but I know that the choppy playback is not and it's only getting worse. Please HELP!
I hope this NEW POST will suffice as per your requirements.

When the video is choppy, how much CPU and RAM usage is occurring?  Do you have a graphics control panel that shows how much video RAM is in use when the video is choppy?
Do you have a list of sites and videos where the video is choppy?
If you don't want the McAffee add-on, remove it.
