Automatic Batch Determination in Delivery documentation

Dear all,
I am trying to do automatic batch determination in Delivery created w.r.t. Sales order.
if the material availability date in Sales order in say 15.11.2007, while activating batch determination check in Sales order will it prompt the batch for the sales order stock for the current date? It is not happening for the current date nor for the future date.
This is being tested in ECC 6.0.
Can anyone help with the solution please?

Automatic Batch determination at Delivery

Hi,
We have multiple batches for a material. Is it possible to determine Automatic batch determination by FIFO at the time of delivery.
e.g a material A has stock 50 Pcs.
                             10 Pcs- Batch A
                              20 Pcs -Batch B
                               20 Pcs - Batch C
Suppose i have sales order for 30 Pcs. Then at time of delivery can system automatically allot batch A and B on FIFO basis. I dont have to select batch for 1o pc

Hello,
Ideally FIFO method is used for batch managed material along with material which have shelf life expiry date check. If you have setup FIFO method for batch determination for stock removal for a combination of your warehouse and storage type, then system will those batch which are oldest. It will check the Goods reciept date for your batch in the respective storage bin and will pick those batches.
Now as in your case, 10 Pcs- Batch A , 20 Pcs -Batch B , 20 Pcs - Batch C, system is bound to take those batch which are oldest , with respect to there goods reciept date.

Error in automatic batch determination in delivery

Hello Experts,
I have an outbound delivery created for a STO.
The issue is the batch is not getting detected automatically in the delivery and i have to manually enter the batch.
I have checked in SPRO and automatic batch determination is activated for delivery item category.
Can anyone please guid what further i need check to have the batch being automatically detected.

Since the delivery is related to STO, pls check the following config settings.
1. spro-->logistics general->batchmanagement->batach der and batch check->batch search procedure
allocation and check activation->allocate sd procedure/activate check.
(Before performing the below steps define the strategy type and assign the strategy type to procedure)

Automatic Batch Determination in Delivery

Hello all,
I need you help.
business required that the batch of the high level item be automatically determined in the delivery document
We acticated 1.Delivery item category for Autom Batch Determ
Activate the item ctg for batch determ;
Delivery item cat assigned to the delivery type LF usage CHSP
in Delvery .. if the sales order type is Standared (OR) its working fine and doing batch determination automatically.
But if the sales order type is custom (ZXXX) then its not automatically determining the Batch in Delivery,
am i missing any configuaration linked to sales order type.Please let me know.

Automatic Batch Determination Not Happening In Delivery

Hi Experts
Please note that we are using forecast schedule in sch. agreements for delivery and one is supplied to multiple customers so there are multiple scheduling agreements for a single item.
In this case when we are doing outbound delivery automatic batch dermination is not happening. And if I tried to do batch split in delivery is not working.
Can u help me in this.

For Batch Split you need to maintain Batch split Item Category - CHSP
Try to maintain Delivery Item category determination IMG u2013-> LE --> Shipping --> Deliveries --> Define Item Category determination in deliveriesu201C as
LF(Delivery Dcoument Type) --> NORM (item category Group) --> CHSP(Usage) = TAN
CHSP - Batch split (Maintain it for your delivery document type)
2. TAN item category has to be activated for Automatic Batch determination
path IMG --> LG --> Batch Determination and Batch Check --> Batch Search Procedureallocation and Check Activation --> Activate Automatic Batch determination in SD --> Activate Automatic Batch determination for sales order items
Activate indicators for TAN item category (Maintain it for your Item Category)
3. Allocate automatic Serach procedure/ Activate check

Automatic Batch Determination is not happening for New Sales Order Type

Dear Experts,
I have created a new sales order type ZBPY - For Free Sales, but automatic batch detrmination and batch pick up is not happening for new sales order type, but it is activated for all the other sales order types in Production Server, can any body let me know the steps how to map this new order type to batch management and let it behave like other order types.

Kindly check the following steps for automatic batch determination.
1. First check the material is maintained with batch in the warehouse management.
2. Maintain new entry for search procedure for batch determination with the new created doc type.
3. Maintain new entry for automatic batch determination for sales order or automatic batch determination for delivery ( This depends on the business process of our client, whether they want to determine the batch with sales order or at the delivery level. check this and make new entry)
4. Create Batch using T.code MSC1N with proper date of manuf. and SLED.
5. Create Batch Search Strategy using T.code VCH1 with proper strategy type.
6. Maintain stock with active batch. check this with t.code LS26 or LS24.

Issue with batch determination in delivery

Hi All,
I have an STO and when creating delivery via VL10I I get an error "doc is incomplete, you cannot save delivery". I have all the sufficient data in STo for delivery creation. Infact there should be batch strategy not taking place i guess.
When I enter batch number in STO then a delivery is created, why? batch shd be determined automatically when creating deliveries.
But there is no issue is quality system with same materials and plants I can create deliveries..

Are you sure that the incompletion is because of Batch determination?
In that case goto
Spro> Log. general> Batch management> Batch determination and batch check> Activate automatic batch determination for delivery item
and flag Auto Batch det check box for Item category "NLN"

Batch determination during delivery and Picking

Hi,
Please let me know how to meet the below requirement.
During delivery creation for sales order automattically through the program RVV50R10C, The system should do the batch determination automatically for the delivered qty and the picked quantity should be filled auotomatically same as the delivered qty.
I have maintained condition record for batch determination for the combination of Shipping point, Sales document type and Material type and also automatic batch determination for delivery item categories is activated in customization ( the check box for delivery item category is ticked).
With the above setting manual batch determination is working in delivery. but not the automatic batch determination and also the picked qty is not filled.

1. The respective item cat. has been checked in Automatic Batch Determination for Delivery Item cat. u2013 Transaction V/CL - maintained
2. Configured it correctly in transaction V/C5 where you configured the search procedure for batches in the sales docs with respect to the sales area and sales doc type which you are using -maintained
3. Check if shelf life expiration date needed. If yes check in transaction CL03 with the class type 023 - Class maintained in the material master
4. Make sure the batch management check box has been ticked for the materials which you want automatic batch determination to be done in MM03 u2013 Sales: General/Plant tab, Purchasing and warehouse management tab. - The batch management indicator is set
5. Open your delivery in VL03n u2013 check the batch determination display. Select the strategy analysis and check. it gives you information whether the condition types were successfully taken into consideration. If not check in VCH3 - Condition record has been specified.
Manual batch determination works ( select the line item in delivery > Batch split> Batch determination )but not the automatic batch determination.

I have already performed following steps, but still i am facing problem for Automatic Batch determination while creating outbound delivery :
1.CT01- Creation of Characteristics. ( Define Selection Class )
2.CL01- change. ( Define Selection Class )
Add Characteristics in u2018CHARu2019 tab And save .
3.CU70 u2013 create u2018Sorting Sequenceu2019 and assign characteristics
4.Batch Search Procedure & Strategy type
V/C3 u2013 Batch Search Procedure and assign the strategy types
a.To create condition type T. code V/C1
b.To create access sequance T. code V/C2
5.V/C5 - Allocate SD Search Procedure/Activate Check u2013 assign sales organization , order type into Batch search procedure.
6.V/CL - Activate Automatic Batch Determination in SD - Activate automatic batch det. for delivery item categories u2013 select item category and activate auto batch determination
7. VCH1 u2013 Create batch search strategy against strategy type as per the access sequence needed.
Please let me know is there any other step, apart from it.

I am working with STO scenario..n Automatic Batch determination for STO deivery with STO delvry item category NLN.
I have done required settings for auto Batch Dtrmntn in delvery .
But as I create Del Doc thru VL10B, itz not giving me Auto Batch Detrmn in the Del Doc...?
where might I Have gone wrong..?

Cause and prerequisites
A batch search plan cannot be assigned to the delivery type replenishment delivery (for example NL).
Solution
Assign a default sales order type (for example DL) to the delivery type for the replenishment delivery (for example NL) (field TVLK-DAART). You can now assign the correct search plan to this sales order type.

Automatic Batch Determination prior to Picking in outbound delivery

Hi everyone,
My client currently wants to activate automatic batch determination. The main concern is that once the delivery is created, the picking can happen 2-3 weeks after the delivery. So in this case, they do not want batch determination during outbound delivery. They want to run the batch determination prior to Picking process. Is there a standard process to do this?
In addition, for batch determination, if it in an internal customer, it should take LIFO process and if it is external customer then FIFO process. Also if it is STO then it should take LIFO process. Does someone know how to control this

Do it in the SO. In SM30 for V_TVAP_CH, set what the type of items of SO are determined for. For STO, do it for NLN and NLC in the delivery items (SM30/V_TVLP_CH). Check your ATP settings and that during this time (2-3 weeks) the stock for this batch goes on for your customer.

Whenever I create replenishment delivery, batch should be determined automatically. For that I activated automatic batch determination for SD documents (Delivery Item Category NLN)...
Still I couldn't solve my problem...

You need to carry out configuration for seach procedure under SPRO-> Log Gen -> Batch management -> Batch search procedure definition -> Define Sales and Distribution Search Procedure
The help text from that node is as follow:
Define Sales and Distribution Search Procedure
     In this step, you define search procedures for batch determination in Sales and Distribution.
     Each search procedure comprises all strategy types that can be used for a particular combination of sales area and sales document type.
     Requirements
     To be able to define search procedures, you must have defined the necessary strategy types.
     Standard settings
     The standard SAP R/3 System contains search procedure SD0001.
     Activities
     To create a search procedure, proceed as follows:
     1. Select New entries, and enter a six digit key beginning with "Z" as well as a name for the search procedure.
     2. Select Control and then New entries, and enter the strategy types in the desired sequence.

Automatic batch determination (Fifo) in VL02n and WM/foreground

Dear all,
I am trying to set up an automatic batch determination /stock determination strategy on outbound deliveries (FiFo) in a WM managed warehouse.
I have not yet decided whether to go for the batch determination or the stock determination. As all my FERT are batch managed, both should be possible.
I want the determination to happen in foreground in delivery. So everytime I want to pick for a delivery I want to have a list of available storage units/ available stock and to be able to select them manually.
When I read through SAP documentation on stock determination (SPRO activity OSPX/define strategy) it says once WM is involved only background handling is possible.
Does the same restriction also hold for batch determination ? Can I force a selection screen to appear?
If this is not possible: is there a user-exit or Badi (or something similar) which can be used to make the screen appear?
If this is also not possible, how could we make sure that certain customers only receive goods of a certain quality (contained in a batch characteristic)?

you have to decide whether you want do the batch determination in the delivery or in WM transport order.
The batch determination in the delivery is much more powerful. Once you have determined the batches in the delivery, then WM has to pick exact those batches.
if you leave batch determination to WM, then the batch from the TO is written to the delivery when confirming the TO.
if you want do it in foreground in the delivery, then you should not switch on the automatic batch determination, because then the batch determination would be executed twice (first automatic when creating the delivery and again manual when the user wants to do it foreground) and batch determination has certainly impact on the performance.
However, with right values in classification then I do not see any need to do it foreground.

Automatic batch determination when more items have the same material

Hi guys,
I have a problem with automatic batch determination in the delivery note where more items has the same material number.
For example:
Sales order items
Item   Material   Q
1        130         5 kg
2        130         4 kg
Stock for this storage location is:
material    batch    Q
130           1000     3kg
130           1001     7kg
When I create delivery note I get this:
Item   Material   Q   Batch
1       130
90001 130       3     1000
90002 130       2     1001
2       130
90003 130       3     1000
30004 130       1     1001
As you can see, both items has the same batches. This is not good, when post goods issue. Normally there is no stock availaible for both items.
Is there any customizing to do this correctlly?

What is the purpose of giving the same material as second line item.
specify in the first line item itself.
or els the condition record which you have specified that for 100 material of A gives 10 material of B modify it to 10 of A should give 1 material of B
