Automatic Batch Determination while doing MFBF

Hello PP Gurus,
I have a scenario related to Repetitive Manufacturing.
I am doing MFBF transaction and doing Assembly backflush by clicking Post with correction. One of the components is batch managed.
My requirement is : On selection screen of MFBF I enter MAterial,PLant BAckflush Quantity , REM Production Version and Storage Location.
What I want is that for the component that is batch managed there should be automatic batcah determination based on shelf life and also it should pick up stock from a particular storage location only.
Also when I click POst with correction button and go to components screen the Batch Determination button comes greyed out.
For header material have maintained REM Profile.
PLease let me know what all I need to do for meeting above requirement.

I need to know 2 things more from your side.. As you told I need to assign Stock Detrmination Rule and Batch Determination strategy in Control Data 2 of REM profile.
I have doubt on Batch determination strategy :
1) Which Batch determination strategy should I assign here. Second what all else I need to do from my side so that a batch is automatically picked and assigned to the componenet material.
The things what I have done is : I have a made a Batch Class, Assigned shelf life as a charcterstic to it. I have defined a sort rule with this characterstic.
What else I need to do.
Also FYI : We are not putting a planned order in MFBF. We are inpiutting the material to be backflushed...

I have already performed following steps, but still i am facing problem for Automatic Batch determination while creating outbound delivery :
1.CT01- Creation of Characteristics. ( Define Selection Class )
2.CL01- change. ( Define Selection Class )
Add Characteristics in u2018CHARu2019 tab And save .
3.CU70 u2013 create u2018Sorting Sequenceu2019 and assign characteristics
4.Batch Search Procedure & Strategy type
V/C3 u2013 Batch Search Procedure and assign the strategy types
a.To create condition type T. code V/C1
b.To create access sequance T. code V/C2
5.V/C5 - Allocate SD Search Procedure/Activate Check u2013 assign sales organization , order type into Batch search procedure.
6.V/CL - Activate Automatic Batch Determination in SD - Activate automatic batch det. for delivery item categories u2013 select item category and activate auto batch determination
7. VCH1 u2013 Create batch search strategy against strategy type as per the access sequence needed.
Please let me know is there any other step, apart from it.

i have setup batch determination , and assign procedure to movement type 201 also copleted reamaining activity
now when i am doing godds issue batch is not coming automatically.
please help me out to complete process

i have created an class and charateristic ERSDA (Creation date) , also i have created 2 batches , also characteristic assigned to short rule also , now i want whoever batch created 1st should come at the time of issue

Warning message during batch determination while doing GR for process order

Hi Experts,
During delivery against process order for all SFGs and FGs, we are getting warning message u201CInvalid batch according to selection criteria in batch determinationu201D.
Following settings maintained for batch determination in process order.
Condition table for order/material type maintained
Access sequence maintained for order/material type
In strategy type above access sequence has been maintained. The common class and sort sequence created for all materials in the plant have also been assigned to this strategy type. In batch split changes allowed box has been checked and quantity proposal maintained as 1.
In search procedure control maintained for order/material type. Search procedure has been assigned to all process order types and check activated.
In spite of the above when GR for order is taking place , system is throwing warning message.
GI of components is being done through backflush and without any warning message.
Please advise how to ensure proper batch determination during GR against order.

Issue resolved by removing required indicators from characteristics which were not being valuated but were maintained in the class assigned to SFGs/FGs.

Automatic Batch Determination for Subcontracting Process(ME2ON)

Dear All,
When we are issuing the components to subcontracting vendor in ME2ON t-code, system is not picking the batch automatically like while creating delivery. In Sales for automatic batch determination they are using item category group but for subcon. order we have only delivery type.
Is SAP will support automatic Batch determination while issue the goods through ME2ON?
If yes kindly revert back.

Go to SPRO > Logistics - General > Batch Management > Batch Determination and Batch Check > Batch Search Procedure Allocation and Check Activation > Allocate IM Search Procedure/Activate Check > Here assign Batch Search Procedure "ME0001" to Movement Type 543 O
Then go to MBC1 and maintain condition record for Strategy Type ME02 i.e. Plant and here keep selection method as "O"
In MIGO, click on "Stock Determination" button for automatic batch determination.

FIFO batch determination while delivery in SD

Hi Experts
I did tried to search FIFO batch determination while delivery in SD, but could not find any solution. Please suggest.
1. Strategy type -SD01
2. Batch search Procedure - SD0001
3. Allocated SD Search procedure to the sales area + Sales doc. Type
4. Activated automatic batch determination in SD.
5. Class - CLASS_FIFO is created with Char- LOBM_LWEDT
6. Sort rule - SORT_FIFO and assigned Char - LOBM_LWEDT
7. Create material and assiged Class - CLASS_FIFO and Batch management is activated
8. Maintained condition record VCH1 in keycombination - Material.
After all above configuration, I am able to do the automatic batch determiation. The suggest where I am wrong.
The same configuration I have done for FEFO and its working.

Automatic batch determination - access sequence and search procedure

I would like to know how will the system automatically start a batch determination for TOs in warehouse.
pl. post any documents related to it.
I would like to know how to activate automatic batch determination in the system for transfer orders in warehouse management. is there any specific t-code or should i make any customizing settings in Batch management.
Also how to create access sequence and how to activate or create search procedure/business procedure while implementing automatic batch determination. is there any specific t-code or should i make any customizing settings in Batch management.

hi
in delivery select the line item click on batch split, then click on batch determination.
you will find strategy analysis icon click on that.
you can analyse your condition type and understand for which combination condition record is maintained and batch got determined.

Automatic Batch Determination Not Happening In Delivery

Please note that we are using forecast schedule in sch. agreements for delivery and one is supplied to multiple customers so there are multiple scheduling agreements for a single item.
In this case when we are doing outbound delivery automatic batch dermination is not happening. And if I tried to do batch split in delivery is not working.
Can u help me in this.

For Batch Split you need to maintain Batch split Item Category - CHSP
Try to maintain Delivery Item category determination IMG u2013-> LE --> Shipping --> Deliveries --> Define Item Category determination in deliveriesu201C as
LF(Delivery Dcoument Type) --> NORM (item category Group) --> CHSP(Usage) = TAN
CHSP - Batch split (Maintain it for your delivery document type)
2. TAN item category has to be activated for Automatic Batch determination
path IMG --> LG --> Batch Determination and Batch Check --> Batch Search Procedureallocation and Check Activation --> Activate Automatic Batch determination in SD --> Activate Automatic Batch determination for sales order items
Activate indicators for TAN item category (Maintain it for your Item Category)
3. Allocate automatic Serach procedure/ Activate check
path IMG --> LG --> Batch Determination and Batch Check --> Activate Automatic Batch determination in SD --> Activate Automatic Batch determination for Delivery item categories
Enter your sales area + sales document type +search procedure + Activate u201CCheck Batchu201D indicatoru201D

Automatic batch determination for components in order confirmations

Hi all,
when I am doing confirmations through CO12, for some of the components the batch is picked up automatically. But for some other components, the batch is coming only when I manually select the component line and click on batch determination button below.
Why is this difference? How can I get the batch automatically with out selecting the line and clicking manually on the batch determination button?

The automatic batch determination in the subsequent document (replenishment delivery note) for the stock transport order does not run or runs incorrectly although automatic batch determination is activated for the item.

Cause and prerequisites
A batch search plan cannot be assigned to the delivery type replenishment delivery (for example NL).
Solution
Assign a default sales order type (for example DL) to the delivery type for the replenishment delivery (for example NL) (field TVLK-DAART). You can now assign the correct search plan to this sales order type.

Automatic Batch Determination in Delivery documentation

Dear all,
I am trying to do automatic batch determination in Delivery created w.r.t. Sales order.
if the material availability date in Sales order in say 15.11.2007, while activating batch determination check in Sales order will it prompt the batch for the sales order stock for the current date? It is not happening for the current date nor for the future date.
This is being tested in ECC 6.0.
Can anyone help with the solution please?

Automatic batch determination (Fifo) in VL02n and WM/foreground

Dear all,
I am trying to set up an automatic batch determination /stock determination strategy on outbound deliveries (FiFo) in a WM managed warehouse.
I have not yet decided whether to go for the batch determination or the stock determination. As all my FERT are batch managed, both should be possible.
I want the determination to happen in foreground in delivery. So everytime I want to pick for a delivery I want to have a list of available storage units/ available stock and to be able to select them manually.
When I read through SAP documentation on stock determination (SPRO activity OSPX/define strategy) it says once WM is involved only background handling is possible.
Does the same restriction also hold for batch determination ? Can I force a selection screen to appear?
If this is not possible: is there a user-exit or Badi (or something similar) which can be used to make the screen appear?
If this is also not possible, how could we make sure that certain customers only receive goods of a certain quality (contained in a batch characteristic)?

you have to decide whether you want do the batch determination in the delivery or in WM transport order.
The batch determination in the delivery is much more powerful. Once you have determined the batches in the delivery, then WM has to pick exact those batches.
if you leave batch determination to WM, then the batch from the TO is written to the delivery when confirming the TO.
if you want do it in foreground in the delivery, then you should not switch on the automatic batch determination, because then the batch determination would be executed twice (first automatic when creating the delivery and again manual when the user wants to do it foreground) and batch determination has certainly impact on the performance.
However, with right values in classification then I do not see any need to do it foreground.

Automatic Batch Determination prior to Picking in outbound delivery

Hi everyone,
My client currently wants to activate automatic batch determination. The main concern is that once the delivery is created, the picking can happen 2-3 weeks after the delivery. So in this case, they do not want batch determination during outbound delivery. They want to run the batch determination prior to Picking process. Is there a standard process to do this?
In addition, for batch determination, if it in an internal customer, it should take LIFO process and if it is external customer then FIFO process. Also if it is STO then it should take LIFO process. Does someone know how to control this

Do it in the SO. In SM30 for V_TVAP_CH, set what the type of items of SO are determined for. For STO, do it for NLN and NLC in the delivery items (SM30/V_TVLP_CH). Check your ATP settings and that during this time (2-3 weeks) the stock for this batch goes on for your customer.

Is it possible to trigger automatic batch determination for components at repetitive backflushing? Since we have background job to process the shop floow data from SFCS, we need to have SAP automatic batch determination for batch-held components. However, it seems that auto batch deter. isn't supported for repetitive backflushing. Does anyone have the experience at this area?

1. ign batch search procedure for ur REM profile in OSPT, if u r are using std. profile dont need it already got assigned with ME001.
2. Create sort rule for the material in SU70
3. in MBC1 assign select statergy ME01 and select materials/order type/plant combination. give Mov type 261 and assign materials,selection critieria ans sort rule. then it will work

Automatic Batch Determination - Mass Item setup

I have just successfully setup Automatic batch determination in SD after much testing and am ready to transport relevant changes made to the live system.
However, when that is in place the department concerned will need to update over 200 items for this batch control. So far, for testing I have updated 4 or 5 items via VCH1/VCH2 and I am now dreading the thought of having to go through every item via VCH1 to implement this fully. Is there a mass setup option I (or the users) can use to get them done?

Re the Batch Determination itself, it works as required for the 4 or 5 items used in the test process. However, on following your instructions to check the Analysis of the batch splits the 4th level i.e. condition type gives the message VE896 "The condition record for use H can not be displayed". This message appears to have confused a few people judging by the queries on various websites and all without a final answer as well. What does it mean and what are the implications of it as all appears to be OK with the batch splits as far as I can see (and the users doing the testing are very happy with the results so far).
The main problem I have is when we go live and have to update all of the relevant items on the live system. As mentioned, the test items were added manually via VCH1 to be part of the Batch determination process. On the live system, do we have to add each item manually to teh strategy in VCH1 to make it part of the batch process ? We have over 200 that will need to be handled via batch management and getting this done quickly and effectively could be a problem. Should the fact that V/CA has the relevant Item Category ticked solve this problem?
