Automatic checkin also when file not changed?

Hi Experts,
is it possible to activate automatic checkin in easyDMS for Documents that have not been changed after checkout?
Whenever i process a checkout (out of contextmenu or by icon) and close the corresponding editor again without doing any changes, the document remains checked out until i checkin manually.
Any suggestions?

Automatic Checkin is of course possible!
It happens everytime you checkout a document and close it after doing some changes. If you have not yet saved the file, a dialog will ask whether to save or not. When choosing to save, the file is checked in automatically when closed. If you did not make any changes, automatic checkin is not processed when closing the file.
It seems that easyDMS has an eye on "change pointer" of files. To change this behaviour easyDMS should check whether document is still opened or has been closed.

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Boot file not changed after XP was removed!!

I installed XP on my macbook pro but when i removed the XP partition, the boot file was not changed. Every time i restart the computer it boots into the windows partition and tells me that no drive was found. In order to boot in OS X i have to hold the option key and choose the OS X drive which is the only one that appears on the screen... Any one know how to fix this problem?

You might want to reread the setup guide; you can use Startup Disk preference pane to establish a default boot disk.

Log also when font is changed

Hi all,
I've a question.
I've a trigger that logs informatiion when a user updates a template. (the information is written to a table.
Now is it so that it only logs when the user updates someting, but it doesn't log when the user changes something of the font.
For example: if the font is Ariel and the user changes that to New Times Roman this is not logged.
Also when a word is unbolded and it is maked bold , no information is logged.
Can someone help me on this one???

Which value is the font you're looking for stored in? You'll have to identify when the font changes and then decide what action to take when that event occurs, similar to the IF statement you already have.

I know that the price may change and hence the amount field is kept open for changes, but i want the amount can update automaticlly when i change qty because when we create invoice (MIRO) the quantity not always same with total PO qty (partial invoice), maybe you can look this my illustration :
1 . PO number = 4500000001
     Qty            = 5
     Price         = 10
     Net Price   = 50
2. GR number = 5000000001
     Qty       = 2
     Amount in local currency = 20
3. GR number = 5000000002
     Qty       = 3
     Amount in local currency = 30
4. create Invoice (MIRO)
      Qty =5 -->this default by system, (now we want to change to 2, for invoicing PO number one)
      Amount = 50 --> this default by system (we want this amount automatclly to become 20)

Trigger observer when data not changed

Hi,
I want trigger an observer function in a particular case when
the data of a spry region is NOT changed. Does anybody know how to

You can only trigger observer functions when a notification
has been received.
For the data sets, we have the following notifications:
onPreLoad, onPostLoad, onLoadError, onPreSort, onPostSort,
onCurrentRowChanged.
For data regions, we have:onLoadingData, onPreUpdate,
onPostUpdate, onError.

Has anyone else noticed that on CC the pentool does not allow you to create an open path? When I try to make two open paths(eg; two separate lines), the pentool connects them automatically. Also it does not automatically close a path. This is both a probl

This is a big headache having the pentool respond this way. Does anyone else have this problem? I have also installed CC 2014 on my home computer and have the same problem. so it seems to be a problem with the program.

I'm sure I did not notice a difference in Esc key behavior simply because I have never tried to use the Esc key to stop the Pen Tool from picking up the current path.
I just tested with all these versions of Photoshop: 6.0, CS2, CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC 14.x, and CC (2014) on my PC workstation running Windows 8.1.
Observations:
Photoshop versions 6.0, CS5, and CS6 DO terminate the creation of the current path at the current point upon pressing the Esc key. However, Photoshop versions CS2, CS3, CS4, CC 14.x, and CC (2014). do not terminate the creation of the path upon pressing Esc, and will continue the path with another pen click. Photoshop CC 14.x and CC (2014) may make it SEEM like the path creation is terminated because they hide the points, but the next click continues the path and causes all the points to reappear.
In every case holding the control key down (to temporarily choose the Direct Selection Tool) and clicking off the current path terminates the creation with an open path and allows the creation of another separate path.
No version closes the path (made the path into a closed shape) upon pressing Esc. The only way I know to close a path is to bring the cursor back to the starting point, watch for a little o to appear next to the cursor, then click the mouse.
With Photoshop 6.0, CS2, CS3, CS4, and CS5 the response of the Pen Tool was instantaneous. There was a definite slowdown / sluggishness in Photoshop CS6 and CC 14.x, which is now corrected in Photoshop CC (2014), which is again instantly responsive.
The only other thing I can think of regarding closing a path might be that when using the Pen Tool there are choices in the Options Bar about whether you're creating a shape or a path. Are you ensuring you have that set the same way as you have had it set in the past?

Incomplete status of scorm file not changed

Hi,
We are having the following problem, which I hope you can
help me with to solve.
We have created a E-Learning training which is SCORM
compliant into our LMS. When we start the training and exit it with
the exit button in the control bar, before the movie is ended, the
LMS report the training status as incomplete, which is working
correct.
The problem starts when we restart the same training. At the
end of the training there is an option, which should be chose,
which give a score of 10, after which the training is automatically
closed. The LMS registers the score of 10 but the movie keeps the
status of imcomplete. We had a thorough look at the report send to
the LMS after the second attempt and it looks like, although the
score is now part of the feedback, the status is still incomplete.
This problem does not occur when we start the training for
the first time and let it run until the end. Then the feedback to
the LMS has a score of 10 and the status us completed.
FYI, we set the pass/fail setting in the scorm file reporting
to value 10. Which should work correctly.
We could also put a complete of incomplete value in the LMS
but that functionality is not available in our current LMS.
Is there anybody that has a solution for this because this
problem is currently forcing us to postpone the go live of the LMS.

How to stop info and start loop over when file not found.

I have a program that I want to run in a loop as long as there are files in a certain dir. When all the files have been read they are moved to another dir. I want this program to have a continuous loop but when the "read characters from file.vi" is send a "Not a Path" I dont want to be prompted for a file because there can be no user interaction. When my program has read and anylized all the data, I want it to keep going in a loop so when more files are put in this dir it will read again.

create a while loop and use the file/directory-info vi (file i/o ->
advanced) to get the list of existing files. If files exist (case structure)
iterate through every one by using a for loop. Now you can read all files
and when finished move them into the new directory. After that you can
analyze the whole data. At last leave the case to wait until the next files
are stored in the directory. Cause you used the file/directory-info vi, you
won't get the dialog!

Fail Agent job when file not found (Powershell)

I am trying to create an agent job that looks for a file to exist and file if the file is not fount. I am using a try\catch block but the job will not fail. Any ideas?

That's actually it's job - to give you the opportunity to handle the error yourself.
You use Try/Catch when you want to intercept the normal error processing and replace it with some action you define in the Catch block. In this case, you didn't give it any actions to perform, so it was done.

MediaPlayback - event fired when file not found?

I want to have a playlist containing mp3 from multiple sites.
I would like to use the MediaPlayback component to play these. If
we try to play an mp3 that is not currently available we'd simply
like to skip to the next mp3. I don't see any event or anyway to
detect if a file was not found.
We'll be using the "complete" event to know when to start the
next mp3. Unfortunately this event it not fired in the scenario
where the file is not available.
Any suggestions (other than using the Sound object directly)?

Automatically Apply Keywords when file is added to folder?

I am learning to love Bridge, but the more I learn, the more I see it's shortcomings. I love the idea of automation and I use it a lot but Bridge does seem to fall a little short in the area. I could not find a way to do this so I can only hope they will add features. I want to have Bridge automatically apply keywords to any file that exists, or is added to a folder. This would save a lot of time. It seems Bridge is perfectly suited to this kind of thing, so I really hope they add some automation features!

The meaning was: Lightroom is oversized (to only buy it) for adding keywords to files. Not everyone has bought Lightroom, not everyone uses CC.
sinrise: Please give an example where Bridge can automate something. I don't know of any. Everything you do is initiated by mouse clicks.

10.7 finder freezes when file extension changed

Hello community.
A very very annoying bug. I have saved a image from the web and renamed it without an extension. Afterwards I tried to change it to jpg in finder. Finder poped up a window asking me if I am sure. I click "use jpg" and then Finder freezed. I restarted finder and tried again, same thing happened.
As a test, then I tried to rename a .md5 file to .txt, After I confirmed in the window "use txt", Finder freezed for the third time.
Lion is not really ready. In the eye of Apple, we are just test dummies. Sorry.

Forgot to say, only in list mode the freeze comes up. It seems already happened in Leopard.

Generate event when file contents change

I should be informed (an event should be generated) when contents of a file changes .
How should I implement this using java

I did something along the lines in one of my projects. Basically it came down to the following:
Create a FileChangeMonitor class that can register listeners for changes in certain files. This class starts a thread that checks the timestamps of the registered files once in a while. When a change is detected, an event will be fired to the listener.
I can send you the code, but I first have to find the correct backup CD it is on...
