Automatic Checking RFC connections

Hi all,
we need a report to check the guilty of our current rfc connections, which are displayed in sm59. Exists an standard report to fullfill this !?

I'm developing a web service that gets the data from a database using a data source (connection pool).
The environment is:
SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
Version: 7.0.10
Build id: 200610212349
When something is wrong with the database and it's necessary to restart the database instance, the web service return an exception: "connection reset by peer". To fix it, we have to restart the connection pool. In some application servers, like BEA, the application server in a transparent way checks if the connection is valid before giving to the client and if it´s not valid, create one. It´s possible to do this with SAP WAS?

Thank for your answers. I think that my program must not be the responsible to check if the a connection is closed or not. For me, the Application Server is the responsible to check the status of the connection and return if the connection is closed, a new one, transparently; for example, in BEA 8.1 when you define a connection pool there is a parameter called "Test Connections On Reserve": enables WebLogic Server to test a connection before giving it to a client. (Requires that you specify a Test Table Name.)
The test adds a small delay in serving the client's request for a connection from the pool, but ensures that the client receives a viable connection.

Hi Ravi,
Simple just check the node size is zero or contains any elements. If it is zero already RFC called.otherwise this RFC is not called.

RFC Connection Error (for end-to-end Monitoring)

I am configure End-to-End monitoring in XI 3.0 SP20, PMI does't show data in end-to-end monitoring... anyway!!! I check RFC connection PMI

in TEST connection I am getting an error: "Group PUBLIC not Found" where may I define that PUBLIC to solve this problem please let me know.... thanks
and what is Group PUBLIC in RFC ??? what does it do???

IDES Installation error (RFC connection error)

Hi
Would someone help me?
I have a problem while installing the IDES ,ECC 6.0 with MaxDB. (Linux)
The installaiton of CI is holding in the phase " Checking the DDIC password " and it seems a loop.
Looking through sapinst.log , there is some messages.
These messages are showing as a loop.

FRF-00007 Unable to open RFC connection.

MUT-03025 Caught ERfcExcept in Modulecall: Timeout.
And I tried to logon ,but I didn't because of the timeout.
The window says "waiting for response" and the logon is over with a error,timeout.
Any hints and advice would be helpful for me ,thanks.

Hi,
1. Check dailog work processes through OS level
2. Check all profile parameters through OS level and change it according.
3. Then try for sap logon with 000 client and password.
After login into sap, check RFC connection within the system. using by tcode sm59.
4. Finally you can check also MaxDB services at OS level.

We are not able to create support messages in our ECC production system but it can created in Development and Quality. Support message created appears in solution manager system. ECC System displays error message as

Hi
Based on the instance number of the servers, you can determine the gateway to be used.
IF your ECC instance number is , 01 then gateway would be , sapgw01 (in ECC system)
So check and change the settings accordingly, in the RFC connection. Also check, if this entry sapgw01 is made in /etc/service file. Also check, in transaction smgw for gateway parameters.

Hi Amit,
Please add following entry in the services file of GRC as well as other SAP system from where RFC is initiated.
sapms<SID>   36<NR>/tcp
Take a restart of SAP application to clear the buffered entries and then check RFC connection.

Hie we have all our out bound queus failing with status CPICERR - Error when opening an RFC connection..
I checked RFC connections from CRM - R3 and everything looked ok..

Hi,
Test the connection once again and it can be a problem sometimes with other server also.I would suggest make a new connection, test it and if its fine try ur work wid this connection.

How to solved RFC connection (EarlyWatch)

I having problem in Solution Manager 4.0 (EarlyWatch Report)
R/3 landscape (NDV,NQA,NPR)
NDV and NPR does works fine and getting EWA everyweek which is schedule every week
NQA does not work at all

1. I check RFC connection in solution manager (sdccn)
Selected NQA, and click RFC button
Login NQA tr: sdccn --> taskLog --> from menu GOTO --> setting --> Processor task
Checkhosts then double click (RFC destination) I got error: "no host fulfils the requirements of service data control center"
Is there any problem please let me know

2. Goto SM59 --> under R/3 connection --> check connection "SM_NSMCLIENT100_BACK" does works fine...

Hi Issue,
These can solved in two ways.
1. You dont need an trusted RFC for EWA. You can get the reports w/o TRUSTED. if you really need this, then follow option 2.
2. Add S_RFC & S_RFCACL autorization objects to your ID in both systems. Solman & Target system.
This will solve your issue.

My ABAP Program will run in BACK Ground Job Processing(SM37) to download data to Presentation server( Local PC Directory). So I have created a RFC destination type TCP/IP to use 'RFC_REMOTE_FILE' function module in my ABAP Program.
When I am trying to test RFC connection It is giving following error.

I did following procedure before I test RFC destination..
I have created RFC Destination : BJRFC
Technical Settings: Selected Registered Server Program radio button
Program ID: BJACCESS
Gateway host : 172.22.149.199
gateway Service: sapdp10
In my local machine Copied SAPRFC.INI file from the TEXT folder to the BIN Folder.
Then open the SAPRFC.INI file in BIN folder and Register a RFC server program at a SAP Gateway.

TYPE=R
PROGID=BJACCESS.rfcexec
GWHOST=172.22.149.199
GWSERV=sapdp10
RFC_TRACE=0
DEST=R3D_R

   Just you check whether your program is registered or not.
   If it is registered then you can find in SMGW transaction and go to
   GOTO - Logged on clients
in that you will be able to see your program name if it registers succesfully.
you have typed rfcexec -aBJACCESS 172.22.149.199 xsapdp10
in this way.
In this you have misseg 'g' in front of your sap ip.

Have a look at function module HTTP_GET_FILE, view the source of this function, there is a call to FORM check_http_destination. Double click this routine. Notice the call to function RFC_READ_TCPIP_DESTINATION, maybe this function will help you.

Check 10 or more RFC Connections at the same time

Hi there,
i have a little question. On a System here there are about 25 RFC connections.
In all the connections there is a server (where the rfc connection has to connect) s334
I want to check now if this is correct in all 25 RFC Connections. Is it possible to check this once for all the connection. Or did i have to open every Connection and look whats inside?

very tuff one we can't tell untill the purpose of RFC..... i can suggest you one thing to rid form this. But you need to take help of ABAP developer. There is a t code called SHDB which records all the sets you do and generates a ABAP code. or else
There is a report RFCTST01 using this you can test multiple RFC connections
you can also schedule this with the diff RFC connections as varients.

RFC connection problem

Hello All,
We are setting up communication between R/3 4.7 and SCM 5.0 system for EWM (Extended warehouse management) with RFC connection and using IDocs to transfer data from one box to another box.
IDoc from R/3 to SCM system is working fine, we are able to complete the transactions in SCM system and after successful completion all transaction in SCM it should trigger Idoc for R/3 which is not happening.
It throws error as <b>"An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system XXXCLNT123"</b>
We have checked SM59 (RFC connection), WE20 (Partner profile), WE21 ( IDoc port connection) it seems fine.
Interesting thing is we are able to get information about stock from R/3 system in SCM system which are correct information.
Can anyone give some idea if we are missing something to check?

The following Process we followed
PO Creation---ERP
Inbound delivery-ERP
Inbound Delivery Process-EWM
WareHouse Task-EWM
Unloading-EWM
WareHouse Task/WareHouse Order Confirmation-EWM
Once the WT/WO is confirmed , Goods receipt status is updated automatically and "Post Processing Framwork (PPF) status shows with RED and error message says."An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system E6SCLNT900"
Here I have one doubt, We have maintained client names as A0000039 (for EWM,but original client name is SC7CLNT100 ) and E6SCLNT900 ( for ERP , original client name also E6SCLNT900)
Will there be any issue with A0000039?(because we did not maintained as per the original client name ie SC7CLNT100)

Close RFC Connection

I have some problems with the availibility of my WebDynpro-Application. It seems to be, that to much connections are opened at the same time. Is it necessary to close the connection in the code or should it closed by the system automatically?
To use a model I use the following code(example):
wdContext.nodeZ_Rfc_GetData_Input().bind(new Z_Rfc_GetData_Input());
wdContext.currentZ_Rfc_GetData_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
wdContext.nodeOutput().invalidate();
I don't know if there is a option to close the connection.
