Automatic Client Push not working - Site System Servers

Having an issue getting automatic site-wise client push to work when only
having "Configuration Manager site system servers" selected.  This was turned on after discovery was enabled and fully executed.
SCCM 2012 R2 CU1, Single Primary Site Server, 2 Management Points (one on primary and second is standalone), with 5 DP's (currently), SQL is standalone.
The site systems are within the IP range boundaries and show as assigned (i.e. site code showing in console of object).  The boundaries are in a boundary group with site assignment selected, and a DP added.  When I view the object properties I
see its returning the correct IP that does fall withing the IP range boundary.
Nothing in the ccm.log indicating its ever trying to install the client and the ccr and ccrretry folders are empty.  I can do a manual client push without issue to a site server object or a discovered desktop/laptop object.
Is there something I may be missing here?  And does anyone know the interval in which SCCM should be creating ccr records for discovered objects that don't have a client?

Thanks or the quick replies everyone.  To answer Idan's questions, no errors in log or component status and SQL is not clustered.
John, I hope this isn't the case.  If it were wouldn't that effectively mean you would not be able to enabled discovery until you are ready to turn on auto client push?  And if you did that you would have no way to control the client roll out.
Maybe I am missing something in that equation.  I'll test that theory regardless but if that ends up being the case that is alarming!  :-)
Jason, thanks for the tip on the potential bug.  Was really more so hoping to validate automatic client push rather than actually needing it for my site system servers.  So if it is the issue you reference above hopefully its just contained to
the site system servers.  Would be nice to be able to select automatic client push to just a collection of devices prior to turning it on for site wide deployment.
I guess I could always just turn off discovery temporarily and delete all but some test clients, enable client push for workstations, then once validated, turn it back off and re-enable discovery.  (wouldn't turn push back on until most clients are
deployed on the roll out schedule)

  • Client Push not working - Error 67, 5 & Install issues

    HI Everyone
I cannot push the CCM Client to our computers.  You can manually install ccmsetup.exe on the client, and everything works.  There are no firewall issues.  I can get to the admin$ drive from the server to the client.  But when I push down
the client, it comes up with error 67(---> ERROR: Unable to access target machine for request: "16777219", machine name: "CM-1208-O-CCB1",  access denied or invalid network path.)
The account I am using is a domain administrator, in the domain admin group.  The only way I can get push to work is to add our SCCM server to the clients admin group.  Then push works fine.
So its a permissions thing, but I can't figure out how to resolve it without adding our server to the domain admin group in AD.  We don't want to do this for security reasons.
We have not installed the Extended AD Schema; but I doubt that is the issue.
Can someone suggest something to help me fix this problem? What am I missing?
    Thanks
    Chad

Here is the most recent log.
The files copy over now, but nothing happens after that.  There is a WMI error, but I've disabled the firewall, and enabled remote WMI administration.  However, I do not think that is preventing it from installing.

Here is the log from the client machine.  Now it seems it can't find the DP..  Would this have anything to do with not having AD Schema extended or just a DNS problem?

  • Client Push Not Working SCCM 2012

I am new to SCCM and have a test rig SCCM 2012 for testing, problem is the client push fails every time and I am at a loss to explain why. I have tried removing and reading the DP, FSP and MP roles (Both these are on the SCCM core server) I have run IIS
reset, removed all AD configured Boundaries and Groups in favor of IP range but I keep getting the same errors. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated... Below is this mornings logs highlighting the failure.

Does you MP/DP use HTTP or HTTPS? I recommend to start with HTTP and when you have successfully installed a few clients, you can switch to HTTPS if desired. HTTPS based communication requires more steps e.g. client certificates.
Have you extended AD schema and do you see objects in \System\System Management container in AD?
Also, you might have DNS name resolution problem or the firewall is blocking the traffic from the client to MP.
The client is having troubles to successfully talk with MP:
Failed to get DP locations as the expected version from MP 'VKYV-HV01.VKYV.LAN'. Error 0x80004005

  • SCCM 2012 Client Push Not Working

    Hello,
The issue I'm having seems to be with getting the client installed on our Windows 7 64bit PC environment.
Once the client push request is sent, the client PC shows the "ccmsetup.exe *32" process running when I open task manager and look at the processes running, however after it finishes nothing is installed.
From the SCCM server I can access the
\\CLIENTPC\ADMIN$ share, so I’m sure permissions are fine.
I'm very new to getting this configured and I'm not sure why it would go this far but never actually install.
Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a copy of the ccmsetup.log from the client if it might help:
    <IPAddress SubnetAddress="172.XXX.XXX.0" Address="172.XXX.XXX.6"/>

  • SCCM 2012 R2- Client push not working

    Hi,
We have a SCCM 2012 R2 environment in our production. In one of the client machine i am unable to deploy client using Client push method. Below is the error in ccm.log
I am able to access admin$ share from sccm server. Please help!!
    Regards
    Pallavi

It means that it's trying to connect to the Admin$ share, but that it's failing because it's either unavailable or the account has no access.

  • Automatic client push installation not working

I created one secondary server and replication with CAS is active. Boundary also configured and enabled automatic client push installation.
Daily i am checking some machines, but agents are not getting installing automatically . But manual client installation is working fine without any issue. Anyone can help on this to find outwhy automatic clients push installation is not running on client
    machines

Which site code is showing, for your secondary or for your primary?
If secondary, then as Joyce pointed out, you need to check ccm.log on the secondary site server needs to be checked because that's where the client will be pushed from.

  • Automatic update does not work

On my both computers (Windows 7, Window 8), the automatic update does not work at all, although it is activated in the options. All I get in the Firefox info box is that an update is available, with a link that I have to follow to download the installation file and install it manually. No difference even if I wait for weeks, the update is neither downloaded nor installed automatically. The problem persists in all Firefox versions since version 3.6.16 / 2011 (the last update in the chronicle). Note that the automatic update seems to perform well in the Windows XP mode of my Windows 7 system !

It will update eventually; there may have been availability problems on the update servers.

  • Automatic Client Push

We recently migrated from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 R2.  I did the migration by manually pushing out clients, and now that a majority are migrated, I enabled Automatic Client Push.  However, resources that were already discovered without the client
installed aren't receiving the client.  Checking CCM.log on the primary site server, I don't see SCCM even attempting to push the client.
    Any ideas?

Can you post a portion of the ccm.log?
I apparently can't post much of it.  The workstations that are failing are ones I pushed to manually the day prior.  This is from the point of enabling automatic client push, and a bit afterwards:

  • Yhoo mail Push Not Working?

    He,
iPhone 3GS OS 3.1, Yhoo mail Push Not Working?
    thanks

I have also been having the Y!Mail push issue. I noticed it several weeks ago. It used to be that I would get the email push almost immediately after Y!Messenger told me that I received an email. I now will receive the email push sometimes 30 minutes later, sometimes 40 minutes, sometimes hours later. And sometimes never, because I opened up the Mail widget and it does the fetch. Here is what I have done so far (I do hard restarts each time I make a change): I deleted my Y mail account on the iPhone and added it back. No workee for me. I turned wi-fi off so that I am on 3G. Nope - no pushes. I turned on all of my secondary mail servers. Still no workee. I removed all my installed apps, thinking one of them might be causing interference, but no difference. I have performed Restores on the iPhone with no change. I contacted Y!Mail Tech Supt. We swapped emails a couple of times; still don't get the email pushes. Last email from them requested that I send some information to an AT&T employee who would be working on this issue. Well, I sent the info but haven't heard back from him. Very frustrating.
So just to see if it was my iPhone or a system problem, I sent a test email to my wife's iPhone 3Gs. I sat with the phone for over an hour and no email push. I asked my brother(iPhone 3G) if he gets his email pushes. He says he has never received an email push from Y!Mail since he got the phone last spring.
So is this an Apple issue? Or Yahoo? Or AT&T? Should I make an appt at the Apple Genius Bar and see if one of their gurus can fix it? Maybe one of the Apple iPhone techs that monitor this forum can chime in.

  • Oracle EPM Planning 11.1.2.1 - Ziplogs utility not working on all servers

Oracle EPM Planning 11.1.2.1 - Ziplogs utility not working on all servers
We have Planning 11.1.2.1 distributed so that Planning web app, EAS etc. are on own webservers and Essbase is on separate cluster.
Currently we have an issue with ziplogs utility - it seems to work on Essbase servers gathering all necessary ODL logs for over 100MBs, but on Planning Webservers ziplogs utility seems to start, but generates only empty 1kb zip file without any content.
We haven't touched logging otherwise, everything should be pretty much in original state.
Unfortunately I can't remember now exactly, but I have a a hunch that ziplogs utility worked prior patching Planning element on webservers to 11.1.2.1.600.
Other servers or elements haven't been patched (although Oracle recommends also FS, EB etc. to be patched to 11.1.2.1.600). I'm wondering, could this be the reason as in a way FS and EB are on same patching level whereas Planning is not?
Also, there seems to be a bit of limited diskspace on webservers (still waiting for extension), but I would imagine lack of diskspace for preparing any temp files etc. would results in some errors, the problem is that ziplogs doesn't give any errors, just runs very short time and then ends bringing 1kb empty file.
Has anyone experienced anything similar and are you perhaps able to give quick guidance how to enhance or modify ziplogs batch file etc. to make it create a bit of logging of its own actions?
Thanks in advance if anyone has ideas what could be the root cause for this or faced something similar.

Okay, I was able to get it installed and Common Components installed correctly this time. I still can't access workspace though.
Is there something I need to do before I can browse to http://localhost:19000/workspace/index.jsp?
All I get is the following error:
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
    Anyone know what's going on?

  • BPC 7.5 Admin Client Links Not Working

I am working in BPC 7.5 SP15 NW. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit and now the links in the action pane in the desktop admin client are not working.  The cursor does not change from the nornal pointer to the hand.  That would indicate that the admin client is no longer recognizing them as links.  The links work fine in the desktop Excel client.  I am using 32-bit Excel 2010 with no other version of Office installed.
Has anyone heard of this behavior and how to correct for it?

    Hi Kannan,
i think this is a Osoft web site configuration issue, the error indicates that you have one duplicate section in the web site configuration file (web.config).
If you didn't alter the web.config file then the problem may occur because when you use framework 4.0, the machine config already has some of the sections defined that were used in previous ASP.NEt versions.
You should check which version of the MS Framework is configured for the application pool of the web site, change it to v2.
Let me know if this solves the issue. Or if you need more help to resolve it.
    Kindest regards,

  • [solved] NFS client will not work correctly

I have all my $HOME on an NFS Server. So long I used suse and debian, now I want switch to arch but the nfs-client ist not working correctly:
I start "portmap nfslock nfsd netfs" over rc.conf. When I do a "rpcinfo -p <ip-arch-system>" I got the following
    stefan:/home/stefan # rpcinfo -p 192.168.123.3
       Program Vers Proto   Port
        100000    2   tcp    111  portmapper
        100000    2   udp    111  portmapper
        100021    1   udp  32768  nlockmgr
        100021    3   udp  32768  nlockmgr
        100021    4   udp  32768  nlockmgr
        100003    2   udp   2049  nfs
        100003    3   udp   2049  nfs
        100003    4   udp   2049  nfs
        100021    1   tcp  48988  nlockmgr
        100021    3   tcp  48988  nlockmgr
        100021    4   tcp  48988  nlockmgr
        100003    2   tcp   2049  nfs
        100003    3   tcp   2049  nfs
        100003    4   tcp   2049  nfs
        100005    3   udp    891  mountd
        100005    3   tcp    894  mountd
As you see "status" is missing, so the statd is not running. It sould look like the result on my suse box:
    stefan:/home/stefan # rpcinfo -p 192.168.123.2
       Program Vers Proto   Port
        100000    2   tcp    111  portmapper
        100000    2   udp    111  portmapper
        100024    1   udp  32768  status
        100021    1   udp  32768  nlockmgr
        100021    3   udp  32768  nlockmgr
        100021    4   udp  32768  nlockmgr
        100024    1   tcp  35804  status
        100021    1   tcp  35804  nlockmgr
        100021    3   tcp  35804  nlockmgr
        100021    4   tcp  35804  nlockmgr
There is the "status" line and so the statd is running.
How can I fix that problem, so that statd ist running on my arch box too?

    The Problem ist solved.
I use ldap for authentication. During the setup of the ldapclient I copied the nsswitch.ldap to nsswitch.conf. But the line for "hosts:" was:
    hosts:          dns ldap
but in my dns ist no localhost entry. After I changed this line to:
    hosts:          files dns ldap
everything was ok. The statd is now running and I can start to migrate to archlinux ;-)

  • After ram upgrade automatic sleep is not working anymore

Some days ago I installed a second 1GB ram module in my 20" Intel iMac. After this I noticed that the automatic sleep do not work anymore. The display turns off but the iMac not. The iMac makes sounds like he wants to do to sleep but could not.
I tried everything I could find... delete OS X powermanagement prefs, run Onyx, reset the SMC.
Do anyone have an solution for this?
    Thanks

Does your iMac recognize the new memory module?
    Yes.
You might try reseating the module in its slot, and it
would not be a bad idea to run Hardware Test from
your install/restore DVD, just to be sure there is
    not an underlying hardware problem.
Already done - no problems reported
Is your new memory module of the same specifications as the
    stock module?
Yes it is the same, I had a look on this before I bought it because I wanted to use the dual-channel mode.
Also, what are your settings for sleeping your iMac?
5 min to sleep display, 10 min to sleep the mac
One other thing you may wish to
try is updating your system of OS X 10.4.6 (your
profile indicates that your a running 10.4.5).
Was updated to 10.4.6. I just forget to change the forums pref
I more thing to mention when I start the sleep mode manually everything is fine. I also tried to disconnect all external USB/Firewire hardware and tried it with a fresh mac os install on my USB HDD.
    Nothing helped.
    Thanks

When I unplug Apple headphones from my MacBook Pro sond from internal speakers not work, and system soud preferences displayed: Output: optical digital out port only

If you see a red light in the audio output port, then the internal switch is stuck.  Insert the earphone plug a few times and see if you can trip the switch.  If that fails, insert a cocktail stirrer and the like and jiggle it around inside.  If that fails, take it to an Apple store and have the technicians at the genius bar do it for you.
    Ciao.
