Automatic closure of pick lists

Our client is creating a sales order for multiple items and then using the Pick and Pack Manager to create the pick lists for the parts to be pulled from the shelves. They then go back to the sales order and create the delivery document using the Copy To function within the sales order. If some of the items are not available to ship while creating the delivery document they put a zero in the Qty Shipped field. They do this in order to be able to view the unshipped items in the delivery document as a zero quantity.
The issue they have found is if they create multiple pick lists for a single sales order and then create a delivery document from within the sales order for some of the items the subsequent pick lists that were created using Pick and Pack are automatically closed.
We believe that this is the way that Business One was designed because they are trying to use two different inventory fulfillment paths but we can not find any specific documentation that tells us so. Is there documentation that states that this is the case? If so could you please let us know?
Also if this is the case can you recommend any procedure that would satisfy our clients needs (i.e. allocate and pick inventory using the Pick and Pack process but show the non-delivered items on the delivery document with a quantity of zero)?

Pick and pack is only used for status whether the item is picked or not ..so there is no allocation of inventory
If you are deliverying the item with zero qty , then you should be looking at back order report ..
also can be defined easily by query ..
Inside the sales delivery screen ,go to form setting and activate ordered qty and Delivered qty .or qty to ship (pls check) .in this way you can see how much was ordered and how much has been delivered .....
I saw no reason to use pick and pack manager if you are doing delivery with zero qty ....

We have one requirement in WMS rollout is:
For automatic background printing of Putaway list or Pick list in SAP WM, System doesnt recognize Printer name as LOCL (settings in T code- OMLV). In OMLV we must have a network printer name for automatic printing the Putaway List after MIGO transaction and also for automatic printing the Pick List in Background with WMTA out put type - which triggers during delivery creation.
If we configure LOCL in OMLV screen the spool gets generated but it doesnt execute automatically and that needs to be triggered manually using T code SP02 or SP01.
We want to print these putaway or pick list automatically(either thru LOCL or network printer) immediate after generating a spool(without any user interaction).

Hi MM,
Inorder to get automatic put away list after GR you need to define the printer in OMLV settings.
Step 1:
If you are using Ricoh printer (Paper print out of TO) and Zebra Printer (Label printer for printing labels), you need define this combination under the icon "Printer pool/Labels".
Warehouse - Ricoh printer name - Zebra printer name (Pre-condition : Both the Ricoh and Zebra printers needs to be configured in SAP by your Basis team).
Step 2:
Under icon "Warehouse Movement" in the Assignment section, you need to define the condition for printing.
For example
Warehouse no: Source str type Destination str. type Printername
AB1 902 *** Ricoh printer name1
AB1 Q01 *** Ricoh printer name2
The above situation prints all put away list for receiving area to Ricoh printer name 1 & all put away list cleared by QA people to Ricoh printer name 2.
Step 3:
Analyze the condition set under the icon "Analyze" (print control tables).
You can re-check the conditions set by you in the above section. specify the warehouse number, source str type, dest. str type and execute you should be getting the printer name correctly assigned in the earlier section.

Material staging indicator not populating in prod order WM pick list item

Hello,
I have an issue with material staging in an prod order
1) PP-WM interface is activated
2) Control cycle for material is created
3) Production storage location is created for material
4) storage type is 100 for production
5) There is one discontinued material and also the follow up material
6) stock of discontinued material is zero and requirement are passed to follow up material
When we confirm the order the stagging indicator for both follow up material as well as discontinued material automatically populates zero (Non relevence to pick list items) where as it should be one (1 - for pick list items).
One more issue user has manually inserted discontinued material as well as follow up material in production order change mode.
In the BOM of a main material both discontinued as well as follow up material is there with some quantity as a component.
For the same work center, control cycle , production storage location the indicator is populating.
These two material (discontinued as well as follow up) are appearing twice in the WM pick list screen where first two line items are OK and populating indicator "1". But in line item last and second last indicator is not there.
My question is why the stagging indicator is not automatically populating in the production order WM pick list screen in front of components.

Unfortunately, WM material staging via production orders is not possible
from the pull list. Please see the long text of message RMPU 311
(WM material staging for production order reservation not possible):
"You cannot carry out a WM material provision for pick parts from
production order reservations in the pull list". The reasons for this
are cleary explained in the SAP on-line documentation via the

See the following under the Selection heading :
The choice of the selection type influences which types of WM material
staging are supported in the pull list. However, the pick parts can be
staged via RS headers/planned orders but not with the current BOM
explosion. The release order parts, on the other hand, can also be
staged if the current BOM is used for calculating the dependent
requirements.
WM material staging via production orders is not possible from the pull
list.
I think you may try in CO02 or COR2 for production order or process order.

Clarifications in pick list output type EK00

Hello ,
Have any one of you used the pick list output EK00 . I have
tried this and I do have some issues with
We are using SAP R/3 4.7 x 200 version .
Output type EK00 is not available in the application V2 (
Shipping ) . Its available in application V4 (Shipping special
case).
1. I have assigned the shipping points through T code VOK2 as I
am not able to find the output EK00 through customization menu.
2. I have maintained the printers details through VP01SHP ( correct me if I am wrong) . I am using the standard program RVADEK01 and form
SD_PICK_SINGLE in the output EK00.
After doing the above setting when I am creating delivery in
VL01N , the output type EK00 is not assigned automatically and
when I try to assign it manually , it gives an error message
"Processing program missing for output EK00 (medium 1)in
application V2" . I dont know why the system is looking for
application V2 when it is not available in V2 and only available
in V4 .
Am I missing anything in my process . Can some one help me in this .

1.On the Display View "Output Types": Overview screen, in the Output type group box, select EK00. (Application V4)
2.In the left frame, under Dialog Structure, double-click on the Processing routines folder.
3.On the Change View "Processing Routines": Overview screen, choose .
4.In the first medium, for Print output, enter the Smart Form print program /SMB40/RVADEK01 under Program and Smart Form /SMB40/SDPIK_L under SmartForm.
Document Types        Picking List
Output Types          EK00
Transaction Code      v/38
Smart Form Program    /SMB40/RVADEK01
Smart Form            /SMB40/SDPIK_L
                      /SMB40/SDPIK_A
5. Save the changes.

Print Picking list for late operation in WO

Hello Experts,
I am not an expert in PP module, however i have a requirement to be able to generate a picking list automatically in a Work order for the components which are assigned to an operation that will happen in futur.
Let say we have a WO with 8 operations, and the operation 8 will begin 3 months after the release of the WO.
Does SAP manage in standard a printing of pick list for component that will be usd in WO at the last operation?

As i understand, it is possible to release operation by operation in the work Order ? can you please indicate me how to perform that?
And if it is the case, does it mean after each release the picking list is printed?
As i know there is only one release flag (green) to release all the work order.

Pick List with WM

Is it possible to have the pick list print (EK00) automatically even if the delivery is relevant for warehouse management? The users would rather use this output than the transfer order document via WMTA.

Hi Ron,
I think with a small modification to the driver program of EK00 output type; you can get this output printed automatically in background even for a warehouse managed materials.
Driver program: RVADEK01 can be copied into ZRVADEK01 and modify this to accommodate the requirement.
I dont think EK00 alone can be used to print for warehouse materials in delivery.

what config settings required for this
and also another similar scenario
Picking list from warehouse against the sales order
which interim storage type we need to link the printer
we have already satnadalone storage types availble(100,120,1....)

Print determination is WM is done in transaction OMLV. Major steps include
1. Define spool request.--> Here you define spools and how it should be configured like new spool request, delete after spool out put.
2.Definition of Print code--> Here you assign form to each print code
3. Assign Print code to movement type--> For each mvt type assign print code. In automatic determination of printer, system checks whether any print code is assigned to each mvt type in a warehouse.
4.Assign Printer to Warehouse--> Once form and other information is determined in above steps, system checks for printer for a warehouse in this configuration.If no printer is assigned, then it will proceed to next step that is step 5 here below
5.Assign printer to picking area--> Assignment of printer to picking area.If this paramter is not maintained then it will go to next step. That is step 6 here
6.Assign printer to Storage type--> It will fetch printer if nothing is mentioned in step 4 & 5 above.
7.Print Report--> Assign print program to ware house. This the last step in config.

In WM/PP interfce
1.Created Production order and relesed
2.In menu WM pick List it shows Simulate and Proceed in that is if we select it will proceed further but material it will not move from ;Only parts; to only Pick parts
please help me on this or give me the process

The Issue has been resolved.....
Actually we have to "Create Control Cycle " via T.Code LPK1 for the materials being issued.
Once this is done the pick list automatically opens.

Printing Picking List in WM

Hello,
I am facing issue with Printing of Pick list based on WM storage type.
- I am creating the O/Delivery then creating the 'WM ref group' and then Creates the TO against the Group. System create the TOs based on each Storage type (TO split function) but does not Prints anything automatically (I can print the individual TO manually using LT31)
But If I creating the O/Delivery and Creates the TO against Delivery then System create & prints the TOs based on each Storage type (TO split function).
-Even it is not printing the Pick list based on Storage type while using LT44.
Please suggest...

Please check the following configuration settings.
Transaction : OMLV --> Spool code --> For the combination of Warehouse number and Spool control ensure the "Print immediately" check box is checked.

Hi, I have a little problem, in transaction VL70 I print the picking list, but when I execute the transaction it also confirm the picking quantity. How can I do to print the picking list from a delivery but no confirm the picking quantity in automatic.

There are different ways how each dealer would like to use or function different processess.
Standard flows of 3 major processess in DBM are:
Vehicle sales orders: Order create -> add items -> Add jobs** -> Post Goods Issue -> Splits**->Billing
Parts sales orders: Order create -> add items -> Add jobs** -> Post Goods Issue -> Splits**->Billing
Vehicle Service orders: Order create -> add items -> Add jobs** -> confirm order-> Post Goods Issue -> Confirm time booking -> Splits** ->Billing
- Not mandatory, but are suggested
DBM is a process driven application and you can customize the process steps as is needed by the customer.
The steps mentioned above are very simple process steps and you can include any actions in between them

What is the use of picking list ..T -code MB26. ? Can I print it automatically when the material is available ?

The picking list is used for stores. We use it to issue goods from stores to production order. are stores person runs it, uses batch determination and prints the list out goes and picks the materials from stores and then issues it using this list.

Error in Picking List (T-Code - CO27) - Urgent help pls

Hi all,
Situation-
   A work order has been released & the item for it has been made available using the picking list (CO27). However when i check the picking list again, the same item is still showing, but the Open Qty & Shortage fields show 0. I am not able to figure out how the item is still seen despite me picking it.
   When i select the line & click status, in the Business Processes tab, Release Component has a red indicator & says Error - BS 013 (System status REL is active), is this causing the problem & if yes how can i rectify it.
   Solutions please......

Apologies for the delayed reply. I would like to inform you i am not a ABAPer so i dont know if what i did would be of benefit to you. But what actually had happened was the FI indicator was not ticked in the order & this was causing that error. This indicator i got to know is ticked automatically when the issual is done, but due to certain circumstances it might not be ticked, this happens due to some manual intervention is what i was made understood. I hope this was of some help to you. But i would say, it is better that u open a new thread & ask the experts for their view-point.

Picking, pick list & TOs

I need some advice/help on possible transactions and possibilities for automation for the following functionality/process (steps 2&3). This is for WM.
1. Sales orders are logged and outbound deliveries are created (these deliveries may be up to a month in the future).
2. Transfer orders should be created, preferably automatic.
3. Every morning in the warehouse a pick list need to be extracted with all picks for the day. Sorting options for this is needed. (The volumes are large).
Also, for pick waves:
- How is a pick list generated?
- Can the creation of pick waves be trigger automically (for example every morning)?

Please tell me the procedure to get standard pick list for delivery. Picking has to be done from warehouse.
To select outbound deliveries due for picking, :
From shipping, choose Picking , Create transfer order Via Outb. Delivery Monitor.
The Outbound Deliveries for Picking screen appears.
In the Organization data section, enter
1.the shipping point,
2.in the Output proposal section,
3.relevant shipping documents
If, in the same overview, you want to display deliveries due for fixed bin picking as well as check deliveries to be passed on to the WM System for picking in the same overview, select the Both picking types indicator in the Picking data section. Otherwise, you must enter an indicator for the picking type according to which selections are to be made.
Then just Execute.Day's Workload for Picking screen appears.
In this list, the system displays the deliveries for picking, sorted by shipping point and picking date

Bar code shipment numbers on picking lists

Dear All,
I want to add Bar code to shipment numbers on picking lists so warehouse/shippers can scan the bar code instead of type in the number. This would really save time on UPS shipments. Currently the warehouse/shippers have to type each UPS shipment number twice (one time to confirm pick and one time to print packing list). Since there are 50 - 100 UPS shipments daily, a lot of time could be saved with scanning the shipment number instead of keying.
What can be the resolution for this? Can this be automated at the configuration level?
Or can it be done through the help of coding? Any ideas on this issue?

The t.o. confirmation can be automatic at the time of t.o. creation (autoconfirm) if you desire and/or you could make the print output to trigger at time of t.o. confirmation.
Another option would be to paste the shipment numbers into an excel file and convert the numbers to bar code for scanning.
You can get a very popular bar code "font" (3 of 9 barcode) free online and use it just like any other font in excel.
