Automatic Connection to iTunes USA

When I open iTunes I am automatically directed to the USA store (I'm in Australia). When I try to change the country at the bottom of the page, it just goes back to USA. I have tried to find the automatic direction but have been unable. Have I selected the wrong country in set up? Any ideas on how to change the setting? Thanks!

Thanks Katrina! I actually changed it by clicking on the "credit card billing address in another country" button and changed the country there. As soon as I did that it redirected me to the Australian site. Thanks again.

  • How to stop automatic connection to itune store when opening itunes?

when ever i try to open i tunes without internet connection,a warning diallog box appears saying that  'itunes cannot connect to itunes store.check internet connection'.ive tried disabling store, podcasts and everythng in itune preferences but still doesnt make any change..please help me out..please..:(

There is no issue here. If you have no Internet connection, it's impossible to access the store, therefore iTunes will alert you with this message so you don't get confused. You can use all the other offline features on iTunes, so you shouldn't be going through so much trouble to solve something which isn't a problem. There is no way to stop iTunes automatically attempting to access the store when you open iTunes, so you'll have to deal that message. If I'm not getting the issue, please tell me.

  • Why my 4s cannot automatically connect itunes ? is only charging.

why my iphone 4s cannot automatically connect or sync to itunes ? is only charging when the cable connected.

The quickest way to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter. When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes.

  • I am using an Apple TV in a hotel with free wi-fi, the Apple TV automatically detected the wi-fi network, and I'm am signed in to the Apple iTunes Store, but the screen continues to show cannot connect to iTunes Store!

I am using a newly purchased Apple TV in a hotel room that has free wi-fi, the Apple TV has detected the network automatically, I am signed in to the Apple iTunes Store, using my Apple ID, and password, but the screen always says "cannot connect to iTunes Store"

    Try streaming other content.
If the hotel's network requires login via webpage then it won't actually be connected and you will need to contact the provider to gain access.

Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

  • When I connect my iPhone, iPhoto opens automatically instead of iTunes

When I connect my Iphone to my MBPro running Snow Leopard, Iphoto opens automatically instead of Itunes. When I manually open Itunes, my Iphone appears in the sidebar as normal, nut how can I change the settings so that Itunes is the default open program for syncing?
    thanks
    Doug

If you don't want iphoto to launch, open the image capture app, & under preferences select what you want to happen when a camera is connected. iPhoto will only launch if you have pics in your camera roll.
When your phone is connected, on the summary page there will be an option to check to open iTunes automatically when iPhone connects.

  • HT201210 Ipad 4 rebooted automatically numerous times...froze up...hard restarted using home and power...put itself into restore mode "connect to iTunes"...I did this but I get error '1600' and can't perform restore...i've exhausted all fix options for '1

Hi folks as in the title:
My Ipad 4 froze up and rebooted automatically numerous times.
It then immediately froze up completely and didn't try and reboot itself.
I then hard restarted the device using the home and power buttons simultaneously.
I got the Apple logo and saw my desktop for a moment and then it froze up.
Hard rebooted again only this time I saw "connect to iTunes".
I connected the device to my MBP and iTunes where I was told it was in restore mode.
I followed the on-screen instructions in iTunes to restore the device.
I spent 15minutes downloading the necessary files etc only for the restore to fail through error code '1600'.
I explored this error code in Apple support and followed all Apple's suggestions, and subsequently tried the restore each time.
I have now exhausted all fix options for '1600'...and I can't even get 'connect to iTunes message' on my iPad device now.
Any suggestions would be welcome please?
    Kind regards.

    Thanks for the response Demo.
Unfortunately I don't have another computer with which to try a restore from.
I've tried to reboot the iPad again using the sleep and home buttons (whilst it is unplugged from my MBP) and it remains completely lifeless. I know there is 80% battery life in the device as I had it charging when it malfunctioned.
I've tried recovery mode through iTunes in excess of 15 times now all yielding the same and inevitable result of 'error 1600'.
I think it's time to get to know the team at my local Apple store...

  • HT4113 ipad is disabled and i have connect to itunes. but when i connected to my computer, its not sinc automatically , so how can i restore it ?

ipad is disabled and i had connect to itunes. but when i connected to my computer, its not sinc automatically , still ask me to enter the pascode first. so how can i restore my ipad ? seems my laptop didnt know or never get sinc with my ipad.

    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

  • Automatic connection to server for iTunes

    Hi there,
I sometimes like to connect to my main iTunes Library on my G4 server, so I can manipulate and edit my library from a remote machine. I can do this okay, so long as I am already connected to the remote server via AFP.
What I would like to know is, as with Time Machine, is there any way I can make iTunes automatically connect to the server drive on startup? This would save me having to connect to my network volume first each time before launching iTunes.
    Any clues?
    Thanks!

That's a neat solution, thanks for the idea!
I was considering writing an Automator script to connect to the server when I launch iTunes, but yours is a nice idea too. Unfortunately I do tend to keep my machine in sleep for long periods of time, so if I have already ejected the server then I'd have to reconnect.
I guess the ultimate solution would be to have a script a-la Time Machine for using sparse diskimages... But since that's built into Time Machine I guess it's not possible!

  • How do you update your apps on your phone when it askes to be connected to itunes and wont automatically do it on your phone?

how do i update my app on my phone its saying it to big over 20mb and need to connect to itunes... someone help me please!!!

If you update via Settings>General>Software Update noting is lost unless there is a glitch. Thus make sure you backup your iPod to both iCloud and iTunes.
    iOS: How to back up
If you update (or restore from iTunes backup) via iTunes all the apps have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup.

  • IPhone no longer connects to iTunes via Wifi

On July 1,12 my iTunes did an automatic update.  After the computer restarting and I entered iTunes and the following messages appeared:
Message 1: Must reinstall itunes to connect to ipod or mobile devices.
Message 2: CD/DVD folder must be located in itunes folder in order to use with itunes
I have 2 iphones (both 4s, bought at same time, both running iOS 5.1.1)and one will briefly connect to itunes via Wifi (I will identify this one as iphone1) but the other one will not (I will identify this one as iphone2).  I have a PC with Windows 7.
When iphone1 is connected to itunes via wifi is disconnects randomly.  Under: Summary > Version, it has the message: Connect this iphone using a USB cable in order to update or restore its software.  When I have it connected with the USB cable, there are no problems. The settings selected under: Summary > Options > are: Open iTunes when this iphone is connected, Sync with this iphone over Wi-Fi,  & Manually manage music and videos.  The Setting under Backup > Back up to this computer (where it backs up to; I do not know)
iphone2 does not connect via Wifi but used to.  It connects without issues with the USB. The Settings in iTunes > Summary are the same as iphone2 except that iphone2 is set as Backup > Back up to iCloud.
My iphone2 is my primary device.  I use it exclusively; for music, taking photos, syncing photos to my Photo Stream folder on my PC, etc.  The iphone1 is my spouse's secondary phone, so its not used as often (ie: only has 4 songs downloaded, used to take the odd picture, has a mirror image of apps from iphone2).
I searched Apple Support and tried the following solutions that didn't solve this problem:
How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows (support.apple.com/kb/TS1567) &
Set the Apple Mobile Device Service Startup type to Automatic
I have not done this: Remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS. I did goto the: iTunes for Windows: Device Connectivity Tests > iOS > iPhone - iTunes Troubleshooting Assistantand into iTunes > Help > Run Diagnostics.  The results were: All tests passed. (My iphone2 was plugged in with USB. The iphone1 was connected via WiFi.)
What do I do now?  Do I need to remove and reinstall iTunes? and if so will I lose all my itunes info (videos, music, apps, settings) or will it just show up after I install iTunes?

    Hi Mitch,
It sounds like you have already done many of the steps, but I would like you to look at this article -

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
