Automatic creation of installed base?

Dear all,
We are using CRM 5.0
We are creating BOM for material in R3.
Line :10 --> Header level item
Line : 20 --> Parent item 1
Line : 30 --> Parent item 2.
Now as per standard When we are doing the delivery of any item in R3, A Installed base is created in CRM (Based on Delivery).
But we are using BOM so line item 20 and 30 is attached to header item 10.
and when we are creating delivery, three different installed base are creating.
Actually i want One Installed base of item 10 and Attached item 20 & 30 becomes a component
How can i do?

Automatic creation of data base table and RFC through Programming

Hi All ,
I have an urgent requirement in which i will be given a Table design(Having parameter names and its type length etc) in xml format or in excel sheet , then by using that as an input i have to create it in Backend automatically through my coding. Can anyone tell me that how this can be done.
Another requirement like upper one is that if i have to automatically generate code for a Function Module on the basis of its signature given . then how this can be done.

Installed Base creation Error

Hello Gurus,
I am facing problem for the creation of Installed base. My requirement is to create an Installed Base for a supplied Machine (Header level Material) & to assign the components to it.
Actually Header Level material will be the supplied product (from Sales Order) while components will be the materials from Producton Order BOM (Make to Order Scenario).
As I am creating IB from Sales Order/production Order, system giving me following error --
Pls suggest where what can be wrong?

No parts were determined for the parameters entered.

Therefore, no installed base is created.
Procedure
Check the parameters entered and then restart the transaction.

Creation of Installation base automatically

Hi Friends,
I am exploring the solution for customer installation. With respect to that I want a installation base creation as automatic after customer master creation. The installation base should be equavelent to customer master, All partner data at customer master should copy automatically. In fact client has 8000 customer master. If the customer is removed , deleted then it should impact the Ibase.
Also when ever the sales delevery completed with respect to the equipment(material serial no combination) , the same should go as component under installation base.Also equipment should get all partner detail from the installation base.
If the equipment is removed via sales document then all partner details should be removed.However the usage records hass to be captured like previous partner etc. In addition what is the way to create the measurements points, maintenance plan in equipment.

Hi,
I think your requirment can be met only with CRM services module, However Automatic installed base gets created through maintaining Serial no. profile for Equipment, use "oein" T-code and while making delivery to customer through SD process, when you select the serial no.s just tick mark on the left box in "delvery > Extras>Serial Numbers."
Prior to this process please maintain proper serial no. profilein MM for the material.(Euipment)

Automatic status heritage from parent item to child item in Instal Base R12

Hi,
Do you know please how to deactive automatic heritage of status from parent item to all child items of instal base when updating parent item status in R12?
When I update status of package in Instal Base, statuses of all child items are updated automatically with same value.
I am using R12 standard API's and I don't see any parameter that can help ...
Must I see the Ebs parameters ? Profile options?

Did you check if the serial ABN656 is the parent and has child components under it? Check the below query for the same. Additionally you can also navigate to Oracle Installed Base Agent User responsibility, search for ABN656, click on the record, navigate to Configuration tab and see if this serial has any child components.

Hi Viswa,
Use the following function modules to create the IBASE.
1. BAPI_ECRMISUTO_INIT : Initialize IBASE
2. BAPI_ECRMISUTO_CREATEMULTIPLE : Create IBASE
3. BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT : Commit the transaction
Note that after creating IBASE if you want to assign the Partner to the IBASE then use the CRM_IBASE_COMP_CHANGE function module to achieve the same.

Hierarchy Category for Installed Base creation

Hi All,
We are implementing service management using CRM 5.0 and R/3. We have created some custom material types in R/3 and downloaded to CRM. In CRM configuration "Assignment per Product Type for application Product" the HierarchyID R3PRODSTY is assigned to Product Type "Material". Now, I want to assign the Object family 0401 to a category to be able to create Installed Base records. I cannot modify the Hierarchy R3PRODSTY since it came from R/3. So I created a new hierarchy "IBase" and assigned the Object family and I assigned this hierarchy to Product Type "Material". With this I am able to create a Ibase but not a product because I changed the assignment. Is there straight forward way to have object family in the Hierarchy R3PRODSTYP" or to be able to create products and Installed Bases simultaneously? Any Input will be greatly appreciated.

Activate Partner and Address Inheritance
Use
In this activity, you can make the following settings for each installed base category:
Activate partner and adress inheritance for a specified number of installed base hierarchy levels
The inheritance of partners and addresses is a logical rather than a physical inheritance.
Activate calculation of geographical coordinates from address information when address data is created or changed
Enable changes to an installed base for a validity date that is earlier than the system date.
Partner assignment or address assignment is used during the search for components to take partner inheritance and address inheritance into account.
For example, this means that in the interaction center or service processes, all components can be found using the business partner.
Default Settings
No standard settings are provided.
The settings are optional. If you do not enter any data, the function is not used.
Activities
To activate partner and adress inheritance, select the PInherit. or AdrInherit. checkbox, respectively, and specify the number of levels in the installed base hierachy that should inherit partners or addresses.
Note: If want partners or addresses to be inherited by all lower-level components in the hierarchy, enter 0 (zero).

As soon as i register the products in ICSS, it creates individual objects.
1)HOw can it be automatically added to Existing ibase of customer?
2) Or how can it be created itself automatically as Installed base.

Hi Priya,
The product registration process in ICSS is the creation of a standalone individual object. If you want to have an ibase node created please use the ibase functionality and add a node component (product or object) to an existing ibase or create a new ibase.

Need effect Equipment Deletion with Install Base

Hello Experts,
I marked one equipment for deletion at ECC GUI & the same effect been moved to CRM web channel via middleware.
But now my requirement is i need to mark a deletion & inactive indicator at same Install base automatically when i mark the equipment for deletion indicator.
First of all suggest if there is any standard available for this requirement & if not tell me how to develop this.
NOTE: Main aim here is to restrict any Complaint/repair order creation to be created for the duplicate equipment/ibase record done by the user end.

Yes that is true. If you connect the G4 to the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) via Ethernet you do not need an AirPort card installed.

Automatic Creation of Maintenance Plan, Measurement plan

Business : The equipments are procuring for the purpose of supplying into customers.It is installed (via sales delevery) at customer location as requirement. From the installation date rental will start and periodic visit is applicable after every 3 months. The technician will capture some reading In initail installation time, periodic maintenance time.
Requirement : The equipment will be created automatically thro serial no when doing the GR(Its possible) . Automatic creation of Maintenance Plan for the equipment for 3 month frequency, 70% call horizon, early and late completion of 100%. Additionally the scedhule start date need to pick it from the notification end date of its respective equipment.Also measurement points should be generated in automatic way (Its fixed& common for all equipments).
Is there any possiblity to complete this requirement? Please help me and suggest.

IO automatic creation of plan settlement rule according to actual settlemen

Hi guys,
does anybody know, if it is possible to create mass wise plan settlement rules on internal orders according to actual settlement rule? Sounds like a normal requirement, but I did not find anything.
Automatic creation of settlement rule seems only to work like (KSR1_ORC in customizing):
01     No autom. calculation / manual maintenance
02     Settlement to a profitability segment
03     Settlement to a requesting cost center
04     Settlement to a responsible cost center
05     Settlement to sales order
06     Settlement to a WBS element
08     Settlement rule from assigned WBS element
30     Settlement on Acct Assgnmnt from CRM or Errors
31     Settlement on Acct Assgnment from CRM or on Event
35     Settlement on Receiver from Accounting Indicator
but nothing like "automatic on basis actual settlement rule"....
Note: we can not use any of the above rules for plan, since also actual has to be entered manually.

How to create an Installed base from the sales order

Dear Friends,
could any one let me know the process of creating an Installed base with the below process.
Once a sales order is created in SD, an istalled base need to be created in CRM system with reference to sales order.
There are around 50 final products and approximately 2000(BOM)components for each product exists. but the client wants to maintain only few components
like 100 to 200 components in Installed base.
In CRM system, can we maintain Installed base Template with that 100 or 200 components. If yes, how do we assign the Individual objects(Serial numbers) to each component.

there can be two possibilities
Option 1. Create Install base in CRM while creating Sales order in ECC using RFC CRM_IBASE_CREATE. Make some reference of sales order in the Ibase. later when you move equipments to CRM then you can attach these equipments to Ibase (Already created in Thru RFC)in Badi CRM_EQUI_LOAD(This BAdi is called while moving equipments from ECC to CRM).
Option 2. Don't create Ibase at the creation of Sales order. but while creating Equipment just add some indiacator in the equipment to know which sale sorder this equipments belongs.
and once these equipments moves to CRM. Using the BADI CRM_EQUI_LOAD you can club all the equipments(of same sales order) under one ibase.

Automatic creation of the Cost Object Owners in WorkFlow

Hello Experts,
Business requirement background is
SREQ Contact person just enter cost object and submit for approval.In all cost object cases he can save the service order and submit. After SREQ FRA reviewer approval, before workflow notification mail is sent to cost object owner, system will check if the user exist in X92 system or not. If user is not exist, based on GDDB id, automatically the user will get created in X92.
And The solution will be as follows:
1). Once the SREQ FRA reviewer approves the SO, then the notification mail be send to the Cost Object Owner
2). Here system should check GDDB ID of the Cost Object Owner, is it exist in X92 system or not.
3). If GDDB ID is not there in X92 system, then on the basis of the GDDB ID, the system should automatically create the SAP user ID for the CO Owner and an email is to be send to the CO Owner for the approval of the SO along with the user id details.
4). If GDDB ID exists in X92, the SO will be submitted for further approvals.
How to Customize the steps 2 & 3 that i mentioned in the solution?
Any help form experts will be appreciated and rewarded

a) for chart of account switch the flag for automatic creation (OB13)
b) maitain the logic for defining of cost element category (OKB2)
