Automatic creation of PO from shipment cost document

Dear Experts
PLease let me know the settings with description to understand for the creation of PO from shipment cost document. It seems inegration with FI is also needed. Request your explanation with the settings in SPRO

For automatic Generation of Purchase Order
SPRO > Logistics Execution > Transport > Shipment Costs > Shipment Cost Document > Shipment Cost Types and Item Categories > Define item Categories (T_56)
   In the Generate PO, Enter one of A, B, C.
       Do not generate purchase order
A    Generate purchase order for validity period of 1 day
B    Generate purchase order for validity period of 1 week
C    Generate purchase order for validity period of 1 month
For assigning posting in G/L Accounts
SPRO > Logistics Execution > Transport > Shipment Costs > Shipment Cost Document > Shipment Cost Types and Item Categories > Assign shipment cost types and item categories
Based on the item category created before, assign the valuation class.
Assign the Valuation class to the Shipment header or leg (whichever is planned for ) and the item category you created before.
Assigning the Shipment cost type to the shipment type
SPRO > Logistics Execution > Transport > Shipment Costs > Shipment Cost Document > Shipment Cost Relevance and Default for Shipment Cost Type (T_57)
Assign the Shipment cost type to the Shipment type and mark it as relevant for shipment cost.
Checking the assignment of G/L Accounts to the Valuation Class
SPRO > Logistics Execution > Transport > Shipment Costs > Settlement > Automatic G/L Account Determination
Select the Account Assignment - GBB - Enter the Chart of Accounts - Check if VBR was assigned the G/L accounts for the Valuation class you specified before.

    During shipment cost settlement PO generation is mandatory .
    In the configuration of Shipment cost item category I have taken Account Assingment Category as K
    When PO is created automatically the Acct Assignment  Category taken is U which is grayed out .
    I want to know why does system propose U in PO
    If i want to change the default value proposed by the system in PO from U to M where is the setting done
    Can you please suggest a solution

    Please read OSS note 506605.
    It seems that accout assignment "U" is hard coded in case of PO created from shipment cost document and you can define your own rule via "EXIT_RV54POCR_007".

  • Create purchase order from shipment cost document

    Hi Experts,
    I would like to know how a purchase order type is linked to a shipment cost document so as to create purchase orders automatically when I do transfer posting to the vendor from the shipment cost document. How system automatically finds out the PO type and creates purchase order.

    Thanks. I have made all those mentioned changes already, and infact I am able to create purchase orders(PO Type NB) automatically when I do transfer posting, but I would like to know, why NB type only? why not some other purchase order types? Suppose if I create a new PO type by copying NB with new number ranges, how to link it to my shipment cost document?

  • Free PO with shipment costs from shipment cost document

    Hello,
    We have a scenario where materials is received free from vendor but shipments costs are still paid to the vendor.
    For shipment costs, we are creating inbound delivery against PO, then Inbound shipment and inbound shipment cost document.
    The requirement is that shipment costs should get updated in Moving avg price.
    But If I am marking Purchase order as Free,  shipment costs are also not getting updated during GR as system also considers shipments free of charge.
    Is there a way to handle this problem.
    We are creating GR through vl32n and not through MIGO.

    Hi,
    You can try this solution.
    1.Do not tick the free indicator
    2.Create a condition type for discount and put 100% discount for that condition.
    3.Create a condition type for shipment as a value (delivery cost) without accruals tick in the codition type(customizing).
    4.Enter the shipment cost for this condition.
    5.Set the pricing procedure in such a way that the gross price of the PO will not consider this shipment cost.Hence the gross price of the PO will be zero (Free of  cost) but the net price will consider the shipment cost.
    This shipment cost will get loaded on to inventory.
    As you have defined the shipment condition type as delivery cost condition type , you can change the vendor in details of the condtion if required.

    Is anyone aware of how to create a shipment cost document using a function module?
    I need to create shipment cost document as well as update the condition values. But all this needs to be done via a BAPI or something in the background.

    Seen an abaperr and check out the program "RV56TRSL" for your requirement. Through this program, you can Schedule the creation of Shipment cost document.
    If you're talking about automatic PO creation then you need to do the following:
    1. Assignment with relevant Purchasing org & group will be done at SPRO->LE->Transportation->Shipment cost->settlement->Assign Purchasing data
    2. To create the PO automatic you need to do these settings :-
    By selecting the shipment cost & item category for automatic PO (T_56) and selected the default PO type for the transaction.
    Path :- IMG > Material Mgt. >Purchasing >Define default Values for Document Type.
    Path :- IMG >Logixtic Execution >transportation -> Shipment Cost >Ship Cost Document >Shipment Cost Type & Item Category (T_56).
    3. Remember to check EKKN which is the table for account assignment in PO.

  • Deletion of Shipment, Shipment Cost Document, aftr creation of ref. P.O,IR

    Dear SAP Gurus,
    I have a Scenario in my customer System.
    the Scenario is as follows,
    1) Creation of a Sales ORder
    2) Delivery
    3) Shipment
    4) Shipment Cost (as the shipping is carried by a vendor, we capture the costs here)
    5) With Reference to the Shipment cost, we create a Purchase Order
    6) after the P.O , the IR
    Current Situation :
    The End user is able to delete the Shipment Cost and the Shipment Document even if the P.O  is invoiced.
    Requirement :
    the Shipment and the shipment cost Documents shouldnt be deleted unless the IR is reversed for the P.O
    Note * Is there a Configuration Possible for this requirement *

  • Problem during creation of shipment document and shipment cost document

    Hi
    My client  facing problem during creation of shipment document and shipment cost document at the time of Batch Job
    Delivery no 897654: goods issue on 30.11 at 13:22. Shipment on 30.11 (VT01N).
    Shipment costs on 1.12 (VI01).
    the problem is the shipment document get created on 30.11.2010 but the shipment cost document get created on 1.12.2010
    pleas advice.

    Please check the batch job processing log.
    As per my understanding, business requires to generate the Shipment & Shipment cost documents immediatley.
    However there is some time between the documents creation time. I dont see any issue in the data or problem in the delivery docs Because system will not generate the shipment docs after 1 or 2 days if there is an issue with the data . There must be problem in the Batch Job.
    Analyse the batch jobs and timing of the job process.

  • Service Entry sheet Creation for Shipment cost Document

    Dear All,
    While creating a shipment cost document .A service PO is getting generated in the back ground based on which a service entry sheet is created and LIV is made.But in the configuration we are mapping the Transportation planning point to Purchase organisation alone.
    Can some one let me know whether the generation of PO in the back ground for a shipment cost document in the back ground is a standard SAP feature if so can you tell me the configuration steps.

    Hi,
    Creation of Service PO in shipment cost document is based on the following SPRO setting or T-code.
    T code : T_56.
    SPRO > LE > Transportation > shipment cost Document > Shipment cost types and item categoires.
    Get into the details of item categoires, you can see the indicator Generate PO.

    How the freight cost are transferred from condition type of shipment cost document to service entry sheet and collected in service PO item, because these three objects use three different pricing procedures, and different condition type.
    how did the condition type of service entry sheet know to copy the value of whcih condition type in the pricing procedure of shipment cost document?
    Is this SAP standard function OR there need an enhancement to do that?

    Glad to see your feedback, but i still have question on your feedback:
    which condition type in the pricing procedure of service entry sheet should know to capture the net value of shipment cost doc? becasue there are so many condition types,
    And i have checked the corresponding condition type (PRSX) of service entry sheet pricing procedure in my SAP system, this is a self-defined condition type, but NO any calculation routine maintained for the condition type (PRSX), how did the condition type (PRSX) know to copy the total cost of shipment cost document?
    Below is the example and another question:

    Hi SAP Gurus
    Whenever we transfer shipment cost document to FI, in the background PO
    will be automatically generated.. I have set Generate PO as B (Generate
    purchase order for validity period of 1 week) in T_56..
    The problem is whenever we transfer the shipment cost it will not create a new
    PO line item but it will only perform GR for the first line.. With
    this the PO line and the GR value is different..
    How can we have different shipemnt cost item per PO line item instead
    of adding to the GR for the first PO line..

    even the purchase info record and source list are mentained.
    I am getting the error in workflow as "Info record for vendor and Material Does not exists"
    I have checked it every thing is defined ok. What could be the reason that it is not able to recognise the Purchase info record?
    Pls help it is urgent for me?

    Does somebody can help me about a shipping problem ?
    While transferring shipment cost documents to FI-co with automatic generation of purchase order, SAP create one purchase item order for all my shipment cost documents. Is it possible to customize the purchase order to get 1 item  purchase order by shipment cost documents ?
    In my case, i have 1 purchase order with only one item that contains several entry sheet..

    Thanks for your reply. When you said "it will be possible to create multiple service entry with reference to the same purchase order."
    I'm agree with you but all the services entry with reference to the same purchase order are grouped on the same item post.
    In my purchase order I would like to have one item by services entry.
    I expect to to have 1 purchase order with several item ( one for each shipping)
    1 services entry = shipment cost document =  1 Shipping.
    Is it possible to do that with SAP in standard ?
    It exists a lot of oss notes on this topic but they don't solved my problem, and sap documentation is not clear on this topic.

  • Business Area not flowing automatically in Shipment Cost document

    In transportation module, while creating shipment cost document, business area is not flowing automatically. Upon more exploration we found that plant is also not flowing, and may be because of that business area is not flowing. What can the posible reasons for plnt not flowing? Suggest solution.

    Please check the Assign purchasing data settings in T_53 transaction with the combination of the plant.
    Through this setting plant will flow in the shipment cost document.
    I don't have idea about where the businees area field avail in the shipment cost document.
    If so please chek the settings related to business area through this IMG path.
    SPRO>IMG>Enterprise structure>Assignment>Business Area Account Assignment.
    Define Rules By Sales Area
    If Rule 1 is assigned then
    Assign Business Area To Plant And Division
    If Rule 2 is assigned then
    Assign Business Area by Sales Area.

    First Check in transaction SM59 that the connection between SAP and Vertex is working.If you are using vertex and it is properly connected, it can mean that the data you are entering  wrong data - such as the city and state do not match the zip code or is not an acceptable value. Check the US Postoffice web site to verify the data is accurate.

    How can I copy all freight conditions on shipment cost document to the Purchase order created.
    e.g. In shipment cost document a\I have following pricing conditions.
    ZFRT - Freight - $250.00
    ZFCL-Fuel Chrg - $25
    ZCLN-Cleaning Chrg - $30
    Total = $305 on shipment cost
    When Purchase order is generated automatically.
    I want same conditions on Purchase order instead of gross amt PB00 of $305.

    First of all I don't think that it is possible in the standard system. SAP only transfers the total cost of shipment to MM as you already found out.
    Actually, if I remember well, the cost condition is transfered to a service entry sheet assigned to the purchase order item for the service agent.

    Transferring Shipment Costs to Accounting
    Transferring of shipment costs in order to create accruals comprises two functions:
    Procedure
       1. In the shipment cost document, go to the detail screen of a shipment cost item, for which costing and account assignment has already been carried out and which you want to transfer to FI.
       2. Select the Transfer indicator. ...
       3. Save the shipment cost document.
    When you save, the system creates a service entry sheet with reference to the purchase order determined, an accounting document for creation of accruals and further documents in FI.
    IMHO it is good enough to transfer the total cost of shipment. It is the amount needed for accrual, and used afterwards for logistics invoice verification based on the automatically generated service entry sheet.
    Why do you want more details in MM if you already have the detailed data in the Shipment cost document?
    It is not the answer you want, but I hope it helps anyway.

    On double clicking on the item level, respective item details of the material is displayed and then click SHIFT+ F6 to see the COSTCENTER in the shipement cost document.
    Configuration:
    1) In Item category configuration account assigment category is Cost Center.
    Logistics Execution>Transportation>Shipment Costs>Shipment Cost Document>Shipment Cost Types and Item Categories-->Define item categories
    2) In the Transaction code OKB9 Costcenter is assigned to the company code , in order to automate the determination of CO assignments in case of Shipment cost document creation
