Automatic creation of Production order when PP/DS planned order is CIFed.

Hi PP Gurus,
The requirement is when PP/DS Planned order is created and CIFed to ECC R/3, Automatically system should create Production order for that planned order. In this case, is Trigger points will serve the purpose or need to adopt for some other way? I think since APO PP/DS is in sync with ECC R/3, something SAP might have given in this regard?
Thanks & Regards,
Abu Arbab

Dear Abu,
In SPRO PPDS global parameters and defaults, you can set "create transfer events from conversion indicator".
After this the planned order is transferred to R/3 only when a conversion indicator is set against planned order. The conversion indicator can be set through RRP3 or RRP4.  You can put mass conversion indicator.
When such planned order is transferred, it will automatically create production order.

  • Automatic creation of intercompany PO when creating a Sales Order

    Hi Experts
Is there a standard way of triggering an intercompany PO when creating a sales order to the final customer (or the other way around, triggering a sales order to the end customer upon creation of an intercompany PO)? Scenario: business has setup a logistics company (company code X), which its purpose is to deliver goods to the final customer (home customers). However, sales orders are created from seperate chain of stores which belong to another company code (company code Y). This chain of stores have one sales organisation (since there is over 1000 stores under a chain). I need a way to represent that a sale originated from a store/plant belonging to company Y to end customer A. Also, I need a billing document (intercompany) from company code X to store/plant beloning to company Y.
Issues: in the intercompany config (assign intern customer numbers to sales org) - is there a way to assign a customer number at site/plant level so that when creating an intercompany billing it can be picked instead of the one assigned to the sales org and where can this be specified in the sales order (remember: in my scenario there are multiple stores/plants that belong to one sales organisation and it is not possible to use one customer number linked to the sales organisation.)
    Desired results:
Sales order from store/plant YY belonging to company code Y to end customer A
Intercompany billing from plant XX belonging to company code X to store/plant YY
End customer billing from store/plant YY to end customer A
Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hello Tsmash
I think you can acheive this with Regular Sales order + Inter Company STO combination.
Maintain customer numbers for each of the Plants from Company Y for the sales area belonging to Company X.
Then do the config for STO in MM using this menu path:
    SPRO/Materials Management/Purchasing/Purchase Order/Set up Stock Transport Order
Here, in the activity 'Define Shipping Data for Plants',  enter each of the plant-customers and the Sales area belonging to Comany code Y. Carry out other activities in this area appropriately.
Similarly set up Custom ( say Z1) Special Procurement type for Plant YY for stock transfer from XX using this menu path:
    SPRO/Production/Material Requirements Planning/Master Data/Define Special Procurement Type:
Here maintain procurement type as F, Special procurement as U and plant as XX. You may need to repeat this config for each of the receiving plants (over 1000 stores under a chain)  from co code Y.
In the material master MRP 2 for Plant YY,  maintain procurement type as F and Special Procurement as Z1.
Sales order will be received under Co Code Y and sales area belonging to Y form customer A,
Because of the MRP config, a PO (STO) requirement will be raised on Co code X and plant XX. XX will send the goods to YY via a STO delivery using the Shipping data from 'Set up STO' config,
Plant YY will send the goods to A and bill that customer. Co Code X will raise an inter-comany bill on Co code Y.
That's how it should work. Try it and revert with any issues.

  • Automatic creation of production orders via planned orders

    Hello experts!
is there a way via customizing to trigger an automatic creation of production order from a planned order when the planned order finished date is within the next week?
    thanks

    David,
    Not in customizing.
Most people create a job step after the RMMRP000 program step in their MRP job, using program PPBICO40.  Dynamic date range is available as a selection criteria against the opening date, which is the standard criteria for selecting and converting planned orders (not finish date).

  • User Exit to Create Production Order when creating of Purchase Order

    Hi Guru's,
I want to create the Production Order when creating the Purchase Order. i want to know is there any user exit exists for that??
    My scenario is as follows.
we are converting the Purchase Requisition to the Purchase Order , while doing this we want to create the Production Order.. Is this possible??
If possible how can we do that???Please suggest me the possible solution.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thank you,
    Adi.

    Teja,
    My Scenario is as follows.
    P1- Manufacturing Plant
P2 - WareHouse Plant (Procures Material from P1 using STO)
When we run the MRP in P2, it creates a Purchase Requisition, that Purc.Req is going to be convert as STO (Stock Transport Order) in P1 Plant.
When converting the Purchase Req to STO, we need to create a Production Order in P1 Plant.
we know that system will creae the Purchase Order only, is there any possibility that,For creating the Production Order is there any user Exit/BADI or any other procedure while creating the Purchase Order????
    Thanks,

  • Default PR Type when convert from Planned Order

    Hi all,
How can I default my PR Type when convert from Planned Order after MRP run. This can done via MRP Group control but how to go about controlling via Planned Order profile?
Which planned object type and planned order profile to be used? assuming that i need my planned to be output at LA type and convert to NB1 PR type instead of the default NB PR type?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Andrew

    Hi,
The system determines the document type from the stettings u are making in "planned order Profile" in Customising for MRP. There u define the order type, the procurement key and the special procurement key and also the account assignment category. So based on the procurement key and the special procurement key maintained in the Marterial master, the document type is selected.
Production > Materials Requirement Planning > Procurement Proposals > Planned Order > Define order profile
Choose the planned order type - NB1 Within this you specify the P req doc type to be used.
Through MRP group and the different PR document type for MRP generated PR is possible only if you assign the document type to MRP group in the MRP configuration.
    Please try and come back.

  • No Account Assignment when I created Planned Order to Purchase Requisition

    Hi ,
No Account Assignment when I created Planned Order to Purchase Requisition from Funds Management , where as If i change  ( eq : PR item qty is 10 , i just changed to 0 , enter then replace back that 10 ) any thing in the PR , Account Assingment is populated and list of accountin  documents are attached to PR.
Please suggest me , what might be the problem .

    Hi,
    a) When you convert the PldOrd into PurReq it disappears from table PLAF, it ceases to exist. There will be no PldOrd-reference in PurReq (you will not find such field in EBAN). (if you check field RSNUM in PLAF before converting the PldOrd and you check field RSNUM in EBAN after converting the PldOrd into PurReq, you wlll find the same number)
    b) It's not easy to say. You can check PLAF-PSTMP and PLAF-PUSER and compare these with data you get from trx STAD. But this is also not an exact methode since these field are in connection with the last date of change.
Firming indicator cannot help also since you can remove it manually... - even though the PldOrd was changed manually, no firming indicator will be seen...
(Of course, generally firming indicator helps if the user doesn't remove it intenionally)

  • Make to Order- Avoid creating Firmed Planned Orders

    Hi Gurus,
I am using strategy 50 for one of my materials and when i create sales order agains that material a firmed planned order is created automatically. As this is firmed planned order in case i stock in material for that sales order and fullfill its requirement and run MD50 MRP against sales order. The planned order still exists as it is firmed where as i need it to be deleted after running MD50, because required quantity has been fullfilled using transfer posting from another stock. Please suggest how can i achieve it. Is there any configuration available to create unfirmed planned orders instead of firmed planned orders against sales orders? as unfirmed planned orders get deleted after executing MD50 in such a scenario.
    Best Regards,
    Shah

    Dear,
What is your MRP type for these material? Use PD and check
Check the planning time fence field for those materials. If the requirements are within the planning time fence, then it will create firmed planned orders.
Go to OPP1Master Data- > Check MRP Types--- here, on "Control parameters" tab you can find the desired field called "Firming type". Make it bank then system will not create the Firmed planned order.

  • Difference between snp planned order and pp/ds planned order

    Hi to all,
can any one please explain the difference between snp planned order and pp/ds planned order. I am relatively new to this area

The primary differences are as below.
    1. The master data for SNP Planned Order is SNP PPM/PDS where the minimum duration for an operation is a day. So it is used for rough cut capacity planning.
The master data for PPDS Planned Order is a PPDS PPM/PDS where operations are down to minute and second level. Moreover sequence dependent operation planning is possible in PPDS Planned Orders. It is for detailed capacity planning.
    2. SNP Planned Orders are created in SNP while PPDS Planned Orders are created in PPDS or when transferred from ERP to APO.
    3. SNP Planned Order need to be converted to a PPDS Planned Order before it can be used in the Execution System (ERP) for further processing - like conversion to Production Order. Moreover the category types of the orders are different in APO (EE for SNP and AI for PPDS).
    Hope this helps.

  • Unable to convert SNP planned order to PP/DS planned order in RRP3

    Hi,
This is an in-house production scenario. SNP planned order are created based on forecast, now i want to convert those SNP planned orders to PP/DS planned orders in product view. While converting i am getting the following error message.
    Conversion canceled with error
    Message no. /SAPAPO/RRP707
I have checked the SNP, PP/DS PDS, it looks good.
    Regards,

    Hi Lingaiah,
Conversion SNP -> PP/DS SAP002 is scheduling heuristic
Heuristic for Conversion SNP->PP/DS  as SAP_SNP_SNGL used for order conversion.

  • Automatic Creation of Production order per month

    Hello Gurus,
Good Day! Is it possible to schedule creation of production order in background for certain material per month basis?
    Thank you,
    raymond

    Hi Raymond,
If the suggestion of REM does not work for your requirement, then take the help of your ABAPer use one of the below BAPI's & create a Z prog. for creation of order as required.
    1. Prdn order frm plnd order -> BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_PLORD
    2. Prdn order -> BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE
    3. Prdn oder with ref -> BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_REF
Alternatively, create one order & keep it open for the entire year, just do monthly wip calc & at the end of financial year settle the order completely.
    If helpful award points

  • Order type selection when converting from planned order to prod order

    Hello friends,
I have one doubt. That when i am converting the planned order to the production order than from which default settings it takes the order type.
As we can maintain the default order type in OPPQ , under conversion and in production scheduling profile also we maintain order type for make to stock, make to order, etc.
So my question is to which setting the system gives the priority.
Or they both are for different purpose.
    Thanking you guys in advance.

    Hi ,
You can maintain the order type for conversion of planned order to production order in the T Code OPPE.
    Hope it will be clear.

  • Material assigned to old PR when tried from Planned order to PR

    Hello Masters,
I have a situation where my user is getting unprocessed MRP list using MD06. Then he would select a material and go to planned order. Then create purchase requisition form planned order.
In general practice system should create a new purc req but its assigning the material to old (1998) purch req.
Can any one give me the concepts assigning to old purchase requisition...
The issue is occurring for last one month and its heating up...
    Really appreciate your valuable suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Ravi Shankar

    ANS to above Qs:
Is this a requisition for the same material?
           Its for diff material.
does SAP just add another item line to this old requisition?
Yes, SAP adds another line item to existing old PR.
Is there any commonality between the expected new requisition and this old one?
Only common thing is that the newly next creating PR number is matching with old R2 system purch req.
Is the old requisition still unprocessed?
           Old PR is processed.
Can it be that the number range was reset while you still have requisitions in the table?
I did not see number ranges reset in configs.
    Here is the clear pictureu2026
Purchasing was on old SAP R2 till April 2007 and moved to SAP R3 after April.
After April 2007, the PRs have a range which is matching with the range of SAP R2 PRs.
When system automatically created PR numbers, there is a chance that the newly created PR number is already existing in SAP R2. In that case, R3 is picking up the matched R2 purch req and appending material to that old purch req.
I feel there should be some config which will tell R3 system to pick next available number which does not match with R2 purch req numbers.
    Thanks Jurgen...
