Automatic Delta after the Full Upload?

Hello Experts,
Before
-- There is a delta mgm setup between ods1 --> ods2,ods3,ods4; Infopackage settings: data targets tab, 'all data targets' is enabled. This is included in the monthly Process chain PR1.
Now
-- There is a new ODS ods5 created.
-- There is a full update load ods1 --> ods5 for selection criteria last 2 yrs data
-- Now when the process chain PR1 ods1--> ods2,ods3,ods4) is run, It also loaded a delta for ods5.
-- Wondering if this delta is considered good for ods5.
-- Does it imply that when we have to include a new target ods in the existing delta mgm, just do full update and the delta would be done automatically like this.
-- Please correct if I am missing some thing.

Dear SN,
When ever you already have some Init Requests and Full Requests , your Delta will not be activated for the ODS.
Now Just use RSSM_SET_REPAIR_FULL_FLAG to make all your Full requests in to Repair requests. then go to IP Delete your Init Req, Then load a Init Req without data transfer if you feel that all your history till date is available or else, you can always load Repair requests, by setting the same in the Infopackage -->Scheduler in the menu , for all your history data .

Can anyone tell me if there is a standard way to make an automatic delivery after the billing process.
as my cycle will be Sales order->billing->automatic delivery->PGI.

There is no standard way to make automatic delivery after the billing process.But you have to do some configurations firstly in VOV7 you have to change the billing relevance to Order related billing.In VOV8 also you have to check the box immediate delivery ,so that delivery document is created Then you run background job for billing as VF06. then you run a background job VL23..Please set the billing background job time before the delivery background job time

Applying the arch logs after the full backup

DB version:10GR2
In NOCATALOG mode, I am going to take a full backup (Hot) of DBx (800gb) using the command
run {
allocate channel c1 TYPE DISK connect 'sys/dempo' FORMAT '/u04/bkp/stprod_%U.rbk';
backup as compressed backupset database tag 'full' plus archivelog;
}and restore it into DBy.
But how can i apply the archive logs generated in DBx during the full backup after the full backup?
The restored control file doesn't know about these archived logs. Right?

with controlfile autobackup off, the backup will be 'complete', as backing up a whole database means backing up it's system tablespace(1 st datafile to be exact, which is the part of system tablespace)The SYSTEM datafile (or multiple datafiles in SYSTEM) may be the first or the second or the nth datafile to be backed up. The BackupSet consisting of multiple backup pieces may have other tablespaces backed up after the SYSTEM datafile. Those other tablespaces and possible redo log switches have timestamps which succeed the SYSTEM datafile backup . Therefore, those other tablespaces and redo log switches are not captured in that controlfile backup that was included with the SYSTEM datafile.
(Yes, I know we can use the controlfile backup --- but I am just pointing out that this doesn't meet the OP's requirement that the controlfile be aware of all redologs that have been switched during or after the database backup).

Problem with subsequent deltas after converting Full requests to Repair.

Hi All,
We are working on changing an existing system from loading from multiple extractors directly to a cube to loading each extractor to its own DSO and then combining the data in a 'consolidated' DSO and then on the the cube.
To avoid downtime in the production system when we do the cut-over we have decided to do full loads of historical data up to Sept 2007 and then do delta loading from then on.
So the steps so far have been:
1) Full load of data to low-level DSO's. to 09 2007.
2) Full load of data to 'consolidated' DSO.
3) Convert Full requests in consolidated DSO to Repair Full Requests (see SAP Note 689964).
4) Initialise Without Data Transfer to the 'consolidated' DSO.
5) Delta Initialise from 10 2007 from the source system to the low-level DSO's.
6) Delta from low-level DSO to consolidated DSO.
My problem is with step 6 - no records are loaded into the consolidated DSO after delta load of data to the low-level DSO - the load process runs correctly but tells me that there was no data available.
Can anybody see if there is a problem with my approach - I thought this was the correct way to convert from full loading to delta loading ?

I understand that there is only an active table with a write-optimised DSO - but delta processing should still be possible at the request level
(SAP Help on Write-Optimized DataStore Objects http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/b6/de1c42128a5733e10000000a155106/frameset.htm)
Since write-optimized DataStore objects do not have a change log, the system does not create delta (in the sense of a before image and an after image). When you update data into the connected InfoProviders, the system only updates the requests that have not yet been posted.
In my case the 'new' request loaded into the DSO have not been loaded into the connected InfoProvider, so it should be processed.

How to create a unique temp table then automatically remove after the join?

i have many users simultaneously accessing the web apps.
my problem is on how to solve the SELECT WHERE IN('..') clause..
i've read a lot of threads that with the same option..
1) open connection and start transaction
2) create temp table
3) insert the data (batch insert)
4) do the main goal. SELECT JOIN or SELECT WHERE IN(SUBQUERY).
5) end transaction and close connection
how do I assure that the created temp table was remove/drop upon 5) ?

You can do this using global temporary tables. Also data from temporary table will be automatically deleted after commit but table will remain.
e.g.
CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE today_sales
ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS
AS SELECT * FROM orders WHERE order_date = SYSDATE;

Chapters play automatically one after the other

Hi,
I am new and have just read many topics but no solution to my problem.
Here it is:
- I create a project with chapters in iMovie
- Through browser media I load it in iDVD
- iDVD creates automatically the chapters
- MY PROBLEM: whichever chapter of that very movie I select, it doesn't stop at the end the chapter but keeps on running till the end of the relevant movie.
I think it should not work this way.
Are there some settings that I miss?

YES - this is the way Chapters works.
If You want each Chapter as a separate movie as lessons then You have to make all
Chapters as stand alone movies and import them.
BUT - There are no - Play all button - So You might need the full movie too.
Resulting in only half DVD space availably this way.
There is a trick I never tested and that is to drop all Chapters movies into SlideShow
This might do a Play-All function. But to me this is only "Hear Say"

How to have an Incremental Load after the Full Load ?

Hello,
It may be naive, but that question ocurred to me... I am still dealing with the Full load and have it finish OK.
But I am wondering... once I can get the full load to work OK... Do I need to do something so that the next run is incremental ? or is this automatic ?

Hi,
1. Setup the source and target table for the task in DAC
2. Once you execute the task (in DAC) than in the Setup -> Phyisical Sources -> Last refresh date timestamp of the tables (for the database) will be updated (Sorry but I do not remeber exactly the location)
3. Once it is updated the incremental (Informatica) workflow will kicked off (if the task not setup for full load all times)
4. If it is null the full load will updated.
5. You can use a variable (may be $$LAST_EXTRACT_DATE?!) to setup the incremental load for the Informatica workflow

After the full clean installation of Lion, the MBP 13" has started too be too much slow. How can i check it out in order to solve this big problem? tks in advance!

After i completed a full and clean installation of Lion, (it's to say not upgrading Snow Leopard but inizialing the hd and installing the new OS), every operations have started to make the laptop too much slow just working on Safari or Iphoto. How can i check out if everything is running finely or searchinf out something wrong?

GoLive wirste wohl gar nicht zum laufen kriegen. ohnehin würde man es nicht mehr verwenden, weil es noch nicht mal CSS2 voll unterstützt geschweige denn HTML 5 und andere moderne Webstandards. Wenn überhaupt, dann findeste vielleicht noch 'ne OEM CD von Strato oder 1und1 bei eBay. Die haben das damals mit jedem neuen Hostingvertrag rausgehauen. Aber wie gesagt, es ist den Aufwand nicht wert. Illustrator sollte sich durchaus installieren lassen. Eventuell einfach nochmal die Installer im Win XP Kompatibilitätsmodus laufen lassen...

Approved Podcast is not the full uploaded version

Hello All!
I submitted my podcast to be reviewed last Friday, January 4th, and it was just approved yesterday, January 6th. The submitted podcast was approximately 32 minutes. When I found my podcast in iTunes, the podcast is only 31 seconds. I thought this was just a preview of my podcast so I even searched it on my podcast app and it still was the same. Does anyone know what the issue is or how I can resolve this? Will I need to re-submit my podcast?

The culprit is here:
<itunes:duration>31</itunes:duration>
i.e. 31 seconds... the Store is believing what you have told it and playing only the first 31 seconds. (When subscribing you get the entire episode).
You need to enter the correct duration in the form h:mm:ss e.g. o.32.15 or whatever the duration actually is.
Incidentally, though it doesn't seem to be causing a problem, strictly you should have this as the very first line of your feed:

Yow will probably get 17mbps, which is what I get on that and on good backup sites. I hear you can get a little more if you unlock the modem and disable who's.

Delta upload full upload

Hi Gurus,
In ODS already delta is loading every half an hour. But, I don't see any data for one field in ODS. In that case, I want to load the data again to see if i can get the data? how can i do a full upload while delta is enabled? do i need to stop this delta and enable the full upload? or just full upload?

Init & Delta After Full Load

hii Experts
I have one doubt please clarify that.
If i have a Cube and i m pulling data on basis of Full Load . Then i switch to delta load, before that i took the INIT load without data transfer.
But after a couple of days i need to pull the full load again for that particular period, for that i delete the INIT request & also the Delta request from Cube & PSA. & after full load i want to pull the delta load.
Now my doubt is how does this process impact on loading process?Is the previous init & delta also have some impact on the current delta loading???

There is absolutely no problem in doing a full loaf after init delta.
doing full load doesnt disturb the delta status.
Here i explain how an init and delta works
Init and Delta :
Once you are done with fetching all data from source using fullload, you have to run init.
all the new records that appear in the source system after init will sit in the delta queue.
when ever you run delta after the init, all the new records will coime to Bi and once this delta runs succesfully, these records will be cleared from the queue in source system and the new records from then comes to the queue.
this way, we can be sure that there is no loss of data.
Full load after delta :
now comming to your answer, if you run a full load, the data is not fetched from the delta queue and it doesnt disturb the queue in any way. it only brings all the data from soure(according to selection condition). so the delta is not disturbed in any way.
Repair Full Request :
The repair full request acts in the same way as full load in fetching data from source.
the only difference is in updating the target.
Rather than updating the data in the request, it checks out for the changes in already loaded data and update if there are any changes (Repairing the data already loaded.
That means there is no impact of previous init without data transfer in the current delta loading?
If you go thru the above explanation you can get this answer easily.
Init is used to set the delta pointer due to which the present delta is working fine.

By your question, I am wondering if you are playing your music from the iTunes app rather than the Music app?
In the Music App, you can go to any of the options at the bottom and click on a song to play and it will then continue to play the songs in that category. You can also select "Shuffle" to shuffle them.
As for your Photos, did you have them backed up anywhere?
