Exactly what it says. You can only change the automatic downloads for a single ID on a device every 90 days.

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Under settings and store the automatic downloads for music, apps and books buttons won't stay on my iPhone 4.

This appears to be related to the same issue afflicting FaceTime logins on iPad. You must go to wifi settings>advanced and put 8.8.8.8 in the DNS section. Not only does this enable FaceTime login it allows automatic selection. Click auto "on". It may reset to "off". Click again and it should stick on

I cant seem to find a toggle for automatic download of music even though it is adverised as such on the Apple Irish itunes page. Is this coming or not?

I have the exact same problem Under Settings - Store- There is no Option for Music or Books. Therefore icloud will not backup music which of course means it will not sync with my iPad. Is this just for Ireland? I was wondering the same thing and is false advertising on site if so. Load of nonsense if so. I also purchased more music to see is if it would appear on ipad but of course did not.

There will be two switches, one to turn on automatic downloads of music, and the other for apps. If its available in your country then that's where you'll find it.

When you connect a device to ITunes go to the Apps tab for that device and uncheck "Automatically sync new apps". You will have to do this for each device.

If I understand correctly you want all 6 devices to have access to a single calendar that each device gets notifications for and can edit. You can do that with an private iCloud shared calendar. First sign into www.icloud.com and use these steps from the following article to share a calendar:
iCloud: Share a calendar with others
Share a calendar privately
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar name in the sidebar, then select Private Calendar.
Note: You can also share the same calendar publicly. For instructions, see the next task, “Share a calendar publicly.”
Type the invitee’s email address in the Add Person field and press Return.
Click the pop-up menu with the invitee’s name and choose access privileges (View & Edit or View Only).
For each person you want to share the calendar with, repeat steps 2 and 3.
When you’ve invited everyone and set their privileges, click OK.
Invitation emails are sent from your iCloud email address to the participants you specified.

Podcast not automatically downloading for subscribers.

Subscribers to our podcast have reported that the new episodes do not automatically download for them. I have no idea why. In the iTunes store the podcast seems to be working properly. All episodes are there and the most recent one can be played or downloaded directly from the store. But something seems to be broken with subscriptions and automatic downloads.
I tried to subscribe myself before submitting this question and didn't seem to be able to get any file to download.
The name of the podcast is Church of the Cross Boston.
I searched this forum for an answer and wasn't able to find one that matched this particular problem. Any help would be appreciated. I'm happy to provide more info if needed.

You have introduced a fatal error into your feed which is rendering it unreadable. The title for the entry of 24 November 2013 is given as

ICloud and iTunes, cannot get the check boxes to stay checked under preferences for iTunes to keep automatic downloads for iCloud, how can I fix this?

When using my iPhone and Macbook with iTunes, I cannot get the checkboxes to stay checked in iTunes to use the automatic downloads for iCloud. It is so frustrating. I check box them and hit ok under store preferences for iTunes, and when I go back in, they are unchecked. Are you signed into iTunes on the computer with the same Apple ID the apps in question were "purchased" with? Is the computer authorized for that account?

ITunes 11.x does not automatically download purchased music

Hello to everyone,
after installing iTunes 11.x, the new purchased music (that I buy with my iPhone, iPod and iPad) is not automatically downloaded on my iMac even if I have the iTunes set for doing it (in the preferences). With the previous version of iTunes I did not have this problem.
Now, when I verify if there are new items to download, it says to me that there are no new elements to download, so I need to sync the iPhone/iPod or iPad manually to have them transfered to my iMac.
Does someone else have my same problem or could you help me in solving it?

Are you saying the songs are in you Library but not in the Purchased playlist?
In that case you can simply drag them from the main iTunes display into the playlist.
