Automatic drilldown after selection load in data view

Hello,
I work in a specific data view of a planning book. After loading a defined selection a drilldown is executed automatically.
I do not know how to avoid this - where can I stop this behaviour?
The drilldown is executed for every defined selection - so it must be stick together with settings in the data view or the planning book.
But I do not the point where to switch it off.
Can somebody help?

Hi Heinz,
this could be due to user settings. Go to: settings --> maintain user settings (ctrl+F7). click on tab navigaion path (drill down). if you see any characteristics defined there, delete these characteristics. Update settings, save & exit.
come out of planning book and get in again. things should be good.

WEBI and LOV shown after selective deletion of data

Hi, have the following problem.
I know that the values for LOV are taken from the infoprovider. After making a selective deletion by characteristic in the infocube which has the loading date, custom characteristic like 0CALDAY, the LOV of the universe still says that i can select this data when in fact all the entries in cube has been deleted.
Let´s say at first we have 01.01.2012, 05.01.2012, 10.01.2012 and 14.01.2012. After selective deletion of data loaded the 10.01.2012 i want that the LOV in BO has to be 01.01.2012, 05.01.2012, and 14.01.2012 but what i found is that the entry 10.01.2012 still exist althought it has no data in the infoprovider for this date.... any idea how to "delete" this proposal from the LOV ?
Is it a default value coming from a BEx Query Variable? (set in bex query filters) NO
is it a predefined filter in the MDX universe, sending a default value? NO
is the default value coming from a webi query filter prompt? (set in query panel) YES
There is a characteristic, ZDATEXT-Date Extraction with no master data and created as a reference characteristic of 0DATE.
It is used in the universe as a dimension and then used in a WEBI as a filter (option maintain last values selected unchecked)
Why the prompt still propose this date if there is no data in relation with this date ?

My understanding is that the BAPI call MDPROVIDER_GET_MEMBERS (as tested in SE37) which is responsible for retrieving the list of values in BW goes against the master data tables, rather than the posted transaction values rolled-up into the Cube.
i believe that some of the infoobject properties 'Query Execution Filter Value Selection' or bex characteristic properties " only return posted values in masterdata" which have some effect on this, although i can't remember if these are consumed in XI3.1.
I know they work in BI4.0 however, when using BICS.

How syncronize with the data base after pre-loading the data

I have pre-loaded the data from the database table into the cache.
If the key is not found in the cache i want to it to connect to database and get the value from the table. How to achieve this?

I have pasted my cache loader code, config file and the main class in the other post but i m not sure what is the issue with it. Its not working. Please can you tell me what might be the issue with that piece of code. I m not getting any exception either but the load() or loadAll() method is not at all getting triggered on invoking cache.get() or cache.getAll() method. What might be the cause for this issue?
Can you give me the coherence-cache-config.xml contents?
I m not sure whether its the issue with the config file because i have read some where that refreshaheadfactor is required to trigger the loadAll() method.

How to pass the selected table row data from popup to source view

Hi ,
I have requirement of passing the data from popup view to source. , searching some data in popup view and displaying in table,
Like i am passing some input and click search button will display the data in table, when select any of the row in the table and click on the another button , i should be able to pass the select row to the source view and also should close the popup.
When i implement , In the popup windiw, when i enter the customer no, and click on search button, it is closing the popup itslef. not able to see the data in popup.
Can u tell me what is that soultion.

In "Source View" i have input field called Customer_no. But, the end user will not have any idea , what customer no to enter. so i am searching the customer no in the popup view.
1) Customer_no( This is an inputfiled , to get the customer no from the popup view)
2) Get Customer NO( This is a button to call the popup view)
"Get Customer NO" This button action will open the popup view.
In this popup, i have
1) Input field (To enter the search term)
2) Search (To seach the customer no based on the search term)
3) Table ( To display the search data)
4) Button in Table tool bar called "Select" .( To close the popup view after selected the required data in the table to pass it back to the source view).
so in the popup view what happening is, when i click on the search button itself , it is closing the popupview by transfering the first row of the tbale ,with out select the required row in the table.
i need to close the window after click on the "Select" button in the toolbar , after selected the required row data to trasfer in the table.
Can u pelase tell me what are the modifcations i need to do it.

Show input after selecting date in datepicker

I'm using apex 4.1.1
And i want to use a Date Picker item on my page. This works, but.. When a user selects a date you can see the date highlighted. But in the "textarea"corresponding tot the datepicker is not showing the date. This shows the date after clicking the close button.
I would like to show the date directly after selecting a new date. Does anyone know how?

I am having the same issue - and wondering if this is a bug, or the functionality that we expect is not possible?
It seems that when using a date picker field (in our case, for a field that requires a timestamp), when you click on a day in the calendar, the chosen date is not reflected in the field until the user clicks the 'close' button.
I would expect this to be how it SHOULD work - the user chooses a date and time from the picker popup, and it is instantly reflected in the value displayed in the field. Then the user can click 'close'.
Alternatively, if this is expected behaviour, then maybe the button should be renamed to something like 'select' which would be more appropriate and infer that the date will now be updated in the field.

ya its better to use the existing bapi from the list rather than using the batch input recording for the mm data. There is one standard bapi existing, try to use that othewise its very much difficult to do it in case of views with batchinput

Loading incremental data

Hi,
I am using 11.1.0.7 DB with 11.1.0.7B AWM. I would like to load data incrementally.
Some time my fact data contains tuples which are loaded before (corrections/re statements) and when i load incrementally then it just replaces the existing tuple from the cube.
Is there a better way to do an incremental load other than getting all the revelant data(from historic tables) and then using group by and then loading it?

The term "incremental" has two common meanings in the context of loading data into a cube. First, it could refer to loading a subset of records from source tables. For example, a fact table has data for years 2005 - 2010 and data is added daily. The goal of an incremental load might be to load only those records that we added to or updated in the fact table yesterday (e.g., '29-MAR-2010'). Solutions (1), (2) and (3) apply to that situation.
"Incremental" might also be used to describe a situation where data read during a load changes, rather than replaces, data in the cube. For example, data such the following already exists in the cube:
28-MAR-2010 PRODUCT_1 CUSTOMER_1 100.00
28-MAR-2010 PRODUCT_3 CUSTOMER_2 150.00
and the following data is added to the fact table (and these are the only records for these time, product and customer values):
28-MAR-2010 PRODUCT_1 CUSTOMER_1 15.00
28-MAR-2010 PRODUCT_3 CUSTOMER_2 -25.00
And the intent is to have data appear as follows in the cube:
28-MAR-2010 PRODUCT_1 CUSTOMER_1 115.00

What you need to know is that data read from a table always replaces the data that exists in the cube. So, if you just load from the fact table into the cube the data will be:

There are two things that you could do that would yield the following data in the cube:

A) You could load the following records from the fact table directly into the cube.

28-MAR-2010 PRODUCT_1 CUSTOMER_1 15.00

The SQL used to load the cube can do a SUM .... GROUP BY. The net result will be:

28-MAR-2010 PRODUCT_3 CUSTOMER_2 125.00
(I think you might need to map the cube with joins to get the sum ... group by. Be sure to check the SQL in the cube_build_log to make sure you are getting the SQL you expect.)
B) You could load the following records into a seperate cube (let's call this SALES_CUBE_UPDATE, while your main cube is named SALES_CUBE).

28-MAR-2010 PRODUCT_3 CUSTOMER_2 -25.00
As post load task, you can update the SALES cube to be the sum of the current value of SALES plus the value in the SALES_UPDATE cube. You would do this with OLAP DML code such as
sales_cube_sales_stored(sales_cube_measure_dim 'SALES') = sales_cube_sales_stored + sales_cube_update_sales
If you use this method, you would ideally:
- Filter (in OLAP DML terms, LIMIT) the dimensions of the cube to only those values that have data in the SALES_CUBE_UPDATE cube so you don't spent time looping over dimension values that don't have data.
- Loop over the composite dimension. E.g.,
SET sales_cube_sales_stored(sales_cube_measure_dim 'SALES') = sales_cube_sales_stored + sales_cube_update_sales ACROSS sales_cube_composite
Or, if the cube is partitioned (almost all cubes benefit from partitioning) you will loop the partition template. E.g.,
SET sales_cube_sales_stored(sales_cube_measure_dim 'SALES') = sales_cube_sales_stored + sales_cube_update_sales ACROSS sales_cube_prt_template
In most cases, you will do this only at the leaf levels and then aggregate so the entire process will look something like this:
1) Load data into the sales_cube_update cube using the LOAD command (create this using a cube script in AWM). Don't bother to aggregate as part of the load.
2) Run an OLAP DML program such as:
" Limit to lowest levels
LIMIT time TO time_levelrel 'DAY'
LIMIT product TO product_levelrel 'ITEM'
LIMIT customer TO customer_levelrel 'CUSTOMER'
" Keep only those values where data exists in the SALES_CUBE_UPDATE cube.
LIMIT time KEEP sales_cube_update_sales NE na
LIMIT product KEEP sales_cube_update_sales NE na
LIMIT customer KEEP sales_cube_update_sales NE na
" Add the values of the sales_cube_update cube to the values in the sales_cube.
" Loops the partition template for better performance.
SET sales_cube_sales_stored(sales_cube_measure_dim 'SALES') = sales_cube_sales_stored + sales_cube_update_sales ACROSS sales_cube_prt_template
" Save the data.
UPDATE
COMMIT
3) Aggregate the cube (create an AGGREGATE command an AWM cube script).
Notes:
- Be sure to clear data from the SALES_CUBE_UPDATE cube before or after you load new data into it. (E.g., use the OLAP DML CLEAR command.)

Zero Display after selecting Performance Defaults

I've got a problem with my system! After selecting load 'Performance Defaults' in the BIOS there is no display! I have cleared the Bios by using the jumper and removing the battery, swapped out the memory, video card, but still nothing... Does anyone know how to fix this, or experienced this problem in the past?

Please tell us some about your PSU, sticker inside on the noisy box. Amps for 3, 5 and 12 volt lines.
1 What can you say about the memory, except its size? Do you have an exchange one you can borrow?
2 Is there anything working inside, fans, leds etc?
3 I think anyhow you have to enter the case. Look carefully for visible damage especially on motherboard and processor.
4 When clearing CMOS it is good to unplug the system, wait a while, and then move the jumper or remove the battery. If el. remains in the system, CMOS will not be cleared.
Above will not get your system working, but could be a start for troubleshooting. Hang in there, don't panic!

Data Error in the Query/Report after selective data deletion for infocube

Hi Experts,
Please advise what i was missing and what went wrong...
I got a Query (Forecast) on a Multicube...which is based on 2 Infocubes with Aggregates...
As i identified some data discrepency..yesteraday i performed selective data deleation on one of the Infocube
and executed report yesteraday and the results in the query are correct...
When today i executed the same report i am getting different results..
When i compared the results of the report with that of data in cube they are not matching
The report is not displaying the data in cube..for some rows it is displaying the data in the cube but for some rows it is just displaying same as the above row
there is no data loaded into info cube after selective deleation
Do i need to perform request compression and fill the aggregated after selective deleation
Please advise what went wrong

No i haven't done anything on aggregates before or after selective delete
As there is not data load after the selective delete according to SAP Manual we don't need to perform any thing on aggregates...as selective data deletion on cube will delete data from aggregates as well

Deleting master data after loading transactional data using flat file

Dear All,
I have loaded transaction data into an infocube using a flat file . While loading DTP i have checked the option "load transactional data with out master data exists" . So transactional data is loaded even if no master data is there in BW.
While loading the flat file, I made a mistake for DIVISION Characteristic where original master data value is '04000' , but i loaded the transactional data with value '4000' .Then i later realized after seeing the data from the infocube and deleted the request. then i reloaded data with value '04000'. Till now every thing is fine.
But when I see the master data for DIVISION , i can see a new entry with value '4000'.
My question is how to delete the entry value '4000' from DIVISION. I tried deleting manually this entry from 'maintaining masterdata' , but it is not allowing me to do so .
I have also checked if any transactional data exists for that value '4000' , as i said earlier I have deleted the transactional data with that values. even tried to delete the entries from the master data table, but i donot see a option to delete entries there.
Please suggest me on this.

Hi,
Goto RSA1 right click on the Info object and select Delete Master data. This will delete the master data unused existing in the table.
If this master data is not used any where else just delete the master data completely with SID option.
If even this doesnt work you can delete the complete table entire in SE14. But this will wipe out the entire table. Be sure if you wanna do this.

You can select the Payment Term at PO Header Level.
When you book an invoice, that Payment Term will automatically defaulted to Invoice.
You can define Payment Term in AP.
Payment terms have one or more payment terms lines, each of which creates one scheduled payment. Each payment terms line and each corresponding scheduled payment has a due date or a discount date based on either a specific day of a month, such as the 15th of the month, or a number of days added to your terms date, such as 14 days after the terms date.

If this is being a saved to a database simple set the default
value of the
database field to record the server time when the entry is
made. In Access
this is Date(), in msSQL it is getDate()

I have multiple iPhoto libraries and when I selecting which library to view (hold down 'option' key and launch iPhoto from the dock) it automatically closes another open apps window eg. Chome, Word. 1 app closes every time I launch iPhoto this way.

If you're pushing Option at the exact moment you're clicking the Dock icon, it's supposed to do that. Wait until just after clicking it.
