Automatic email footers

We can do automatic email footers with either our Barracuda anti-spam appliance or with Exchange 2010.
Which way is better to do it??
Thank you, Tom

What if Internal User 1 sends an email to Internal User 2? Let's assume their mailboxes are in the same mailbox database.
With Exchange, all messages, even those sent and received in the same mailbox database, are placed in the submission queue and sent to the categorizer where transport rules are applied.
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/e55b154c-319e-416f-8f67-fcf3215205a6/exchange-2007-mail-flow-local-delivery
Note: the chart in the link above is for 2007 but 2010 is essentially the same except that MAPI would interact with the CAS and not directly with the MBX role.
Do you want footers applied to internal messages as well?
If so, can the Barracuda do this?
I would guess no but then again, I am not familiar with the product (maybe you can route internal traffic through it as well).
Otherwise, if you only care about traffic following in and out of the organization, I suppose it would depend on the respective advantages of the two products. I'm not sure what the Barracudas can do in this domain.
Please mark as helpful if you find my contribution useful or as an answer if it does answer your question. That will encourage me - and others - to take time out to help you.

  • Service desk settings, automatic email status message change

    Hi,
    I'm working at Solution Manager 7.0 SP16. I've configured and working Service Desk scenario and it works. Now I'm trying configure automatic email at status change of messages, but It doesn't work
    I'm following spro transaction, and SAP Note 691393. I am configuring Service Desk Specific Scenario Settings -> Automatic Email at status change.
    I've checked:
    - SCOT is correctly configured and working OK.
    - Business partners emails are mantained.
    I made the configuration suggested as described SAP Note 691303 SAP Tutor. Following SAP Tutor I go to transaction sppfcadm->select crm_order->botton "define action profile and actions"->Action Profile(left view) and SLFN0001_ADVANCED(right view)->mode change->new entry...   I follow the next slides at SAP Tutor.
    At the end, when I check results, I go to the support message (transaction crm_dno_monitor) to edit-> Fast Entry->service process->status->In process and I press button save. So I go to Transaction data->Actions but any about the send mail action
    Please could you help me??
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Mahantesh,
    The settings that I've defined at the start condition are:
    Transaction sppfcadm->select CRM_ORDER->button "Condition Configuration"->button technical names on->select action AI_SDK_STANDARD(double click)->change edit mode->right frame button create and select the new condition "Send an email to the author when status of message changes"->start condition tab->button edit condition->Name: Zsend_email->Condition definition:User status->Operators "="->constant "status profile"->SLFN0001 "Service Desk Status header"->Status E0002 "In process"->boton transfer condition->save button. At the end I have:
    &CRM Service Process.User    =
    Status&                                  E0002SLFN0001
    I create a new support message (help->create support message) -> transaction crm_dno_monitor->open the support message just created->button change->fast entry->service process-> status->In process->button save
    In order to test I go to Transaction data->Actions:
    I've a line: wth a red circle, Action="send an email to author when status of message has changed" and start condition:
    &CRM Service Process.User      =
    Status&                                    E0002SLFC0001
    Please could you help me?
    Thanks and regards

  • Service Desk Settings, Automatic Email at status change of messages

    Hello experts,
    I need your help about this:
    I am configuring Service Desk Specific Scenario Settings -> Automatic Email at status change.
    I made the configuration suggested as described SAP Note 691303. Also I configured the status profile SLFN0001 in transaction DNO_CUST01, and the Action profile SLFN0001_STANDARD, both  for the SLF1 (Service basis message), but still when we change the status of messages, the email is not generated in SCOT, overview of send orders.
    I want to clarify that the configuration made for the action of send email was in transsaction SPPFCADM, selected DNO_NOTIF, and push Define Action Profile and Actions, then selected the Action profile SLFN0001_STANDARD for making he ocnfiguration as suggested in note 691303.
    SCOT is correctly configured and working OK.
    Business partners emails are mantained too.
    Thank you very much.
    Hector Longarte

    Hello. Thanks to all of you for your comments. I am answering to your questions below:
    Have you assign proper partner function to every status in action?
    I do not know where can I make this assigment.  I am thinking that this may be the cause. Please I kindly ask you to give me orientation about this.
    Have you defined condition for defined action?
    Yes, the condition was defined thru SPPFCADM. Now, I wonder if this must be configured for CRM_ORDER application as described in note 691303, or for DNO_NOTIF ??
    Have you maintained user deatils on identification tab in BP?
    Yes, the Business partners and emails adresses were correctly mantained.
    The configuration we are talking about and you want to change, is it regarding SLFN (Service Desk Messages) or SLF1 (Basis Service Message)?
    I supose that for Service desk messages we must configure SLFN, and not SLF1. Right?
    In DNO_CUST01, we have SLF1. We have not made any configuration in DNO_CUST04, it is still as original standard. Please let me know if we are right.
    You want to send an aut. email notification when status of SLF1 changes?
    We want to send email notifications to the message creator about the status change of service desk messages.
    Thank you very much.
    Best regards.
    Hector Longarte.

    How do I stop automatic email notifications?
    I had thought that I was subscribing to just a single thread but it appears that I'm now being notified about every message in every thread.  The last time I logged on I received over 200 messages.
    If it doesn't stop I will have to resort to changing my email address.

  • F110 - Automatic email to vendor when payment run is carried out

    Hi,
    I am trying to configure automatic emails to be sent to vendor when automatic payment run is carried out.
    Please note that i have already carried out the following settings:
    Step 1- Define Std communication method as SMTP (Internet mail) in vendor master
    Step 2 – Maintain email address via FK02.
    Step 3 - T-Code BERP – Code to find Find event 00002040 – This is a Function called SAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040, copy with another name i.e. ZSAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040
    Step 4 – T-Code FIBF -> Option -> Product ->a Customer, Write product name at your choice (for example ZMAIL) and make it active.
    Step 5 – T-Code FIBIF -> Option ->Process Function (or Module) ->. A Customer.
    Process = 00002040
    Module Function = ZSAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040
    Product = ZMAIL (name of product define by you in step 4)
    it will automatically send mail to vendor provided SCOT is configured.
    However, when i carry out the payment run, email is not generated..
    Can someone please help me out with the above?
    Thanks in advance

    Andi,
    this might help....
    Emailing SAP Remittance advice:
    1.
    For the following process to work SAP Connect needs to be configured for outgoing mail. This is carried out by the Basis team. The t-code is SCOT.
    2.
    <b>Vendor Master Data</b>
    Define ‘Std communication method’ as SMTP (Internet mail) and maintain an email address in the vendor master data.
    3.
    <b>T-Code BERP</b> – Code to find the relevant BTE. Use the Selection Attribute to browse for your business area. In my case, it is AP-Payment Transactions hence FI-AP-AP-PT.
    00002040 is the relevant process. This is a Function called SAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040. In this case, the FM only checks for an email address in the Vendor Master. If more logic is required a Z-version would need to be created.
    4.
    Use t-code FIBF to create the enhancement.
    a)
    Create a product.
    A product groups together customer enhancements to BTE’s developed in the customer's namespace. All customer enhancements assigned to a certain customer product can be released with the Activate Customer Product indicator. The OPEN_FI function module for a certain customer enhancement cannot find the corresponding customer function modules, until this has been done.
    Create the product name (for example ZMAIL) and make it active.
    FIBF->Settings->Products->…of a Customer
    b)
    Assign the BTE to the FM:
    Settings->Process Modules->…of a customer
    Assign the 00002040 process to the FM and Product.
    5.
    At the end of this process when the payment advice program is run, the event will be called and it will automatically send an email to the vendor.
    6.
    Assign an email address to the sap user who will be the outgoing accounting clerk. Define the Accounting Clerk for the outgoing email address:
    SPRO->FI->AR/AP->Vendor Accounts->Master Data->Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data->Define Accounting Clerks
    hope it helps.

    As Roger said, iCloud does not support external POP accounts.
    However, you can configure your Max to directly receive your Yahoo! email by following these instructions:
    http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20110208153256491
    Note that this works (for me) without a Yahoo Plus! account - and make sure that you scroll down to the comment at the end of the article which has all of the correct settings in one place.

  • Automatic email to vendor in Pdf based on Po approval

    Dear Experts,
    we have a requirement to trigger automatic email of PO in PDF fromat to vendor based on final code PO approval. Please let me know how best it can be done. Can we use email ID in communication area of address view in vendor to do this ?
    Please tell us what other steps are required.
    Edited by: Raghavendrams on Mar 16, 2011 5:05 PM

    Setting for SOST, should be maintained by BASIS consultant for external sent
    Maintain separate Out put type.
    now as per ur requirement u have to set immediate out put in NACE >EF >output types NEU
    here in default tab just Dispatch time make it as immediate
    Discuss with ABAPER for PDF form also.
    -You need to maintain your email id in tcode SU01 and also the vendor's email id.
    -Now while creating a new purchase order , change the medium to External Send .
    -Then go to Communication Method and select CS01. ALSO make sure that the Cover Page Text has value PO No. &EKKO-EBELN& .
    - Go to tcode ME9F .
    - Execute.
    - Select the checkbox and click on Output Message.
    - You will get a message MAII 00000000000001 generated .
    - Use note no 191470

    HI
    i NEED to configure automatic email as soon as saving the invoice .
    and the mail should contain customer name, material no and name, invoice quantity, vehicle number, transporter name , driver name and mobile number and also L R no
    regards

    Dear Rithivika,
    You can get this requirement through configuring the output determination for the billing.
    Do the all output dtermination related settings toyour billing type in the IMG
    IMG>Sales and Distribution>Basic Functions-->Output Control -->Output Determination -->
    Output Determination Using the Condition Technique
    -->Maintain Output Determination for Billing Documents
    -->Maintain Condition Tables
    -->Maintain Output Types
    -->Maintain Access Sequences
    -->Assign Output Types To Partner Functions
    -->Maintain Output Determination Procedure
    -->Assign Output Determination Procedures
    You need to develop the output program in such a way with the help of ABAPer then assign this program to your output type.
    Maintain the condition record through VV31 transaction with Simple Mail (7)as trans mission medium and maintain the Recipient field with to whom you are going to send
    I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Bug with automatic email retrieval (don't want to ...

    Please tell me where to report bug?
    When I set automatic email retrieval on my N71 after retrieving email phone stay connected and don’t want to disconnect automatically so i need go to inbox and set disconnect.  Its a stupid way of automatic retrieval it suppose to connect, check mail and disconnect. I try it on my N95, same problem. It's spending battery too much. And it’s a big bug.
    Best Regards.

    Hi Rumcajs,
    Any ideas why the connection is not lasting for the day instead of 10-30mn?
    Or let me re-phrase: How can I have the e-mail client on my E75 to pick up e-mails on the e-mail server all day long and instantly as it works for web-browser or using thunderbird client? As a user I want to turn on my phone in the morning and then select the "connect all" option either on my Wi-Fi network or 3G network and then get my e-mails all day long without having to re-connect every 1/2 hour (in my case 5mn).
    I'm using multiple e-mail accounts: my work account (IMAP idle), gmail and windows live.
    If I select the "connect all" option it usually connect to only one of the mailbox and never to the three of them.
    I usually have to repeat the "connect all" operation 3 times. Why and what (if there is one) is the fix so that the connect all does connect to all your e-mail accounts in one go?
    The connect all is an option from the main e-mail screen, where you can see the icons of all your different e-mails accounts and the settings, new and help icons.
    Last, it would be good to be able to use Nokia's "destination" for e-mail account. The "destination" feature work with other application and it is very appreciated to prioritise the connection (Wi-fi 1, Wi-fi 2, ... Wi-fi x,  3G) to use.
    Any ideas if this will be supported soon?
    Regards,
    Benoit

  • Bursting & Automatic eMailing from EBS with subtemplates

    Howdy,
    We have our purchase orders set up so that with a flag checked our purchasing agents can automatically have the pdf file split by PO number and have each (separate PO) emailed directly to them upon completion of the report (assuming they have an eMail address in EBS). This works fine.
    We also have our purchase orders set up to use several subtemplates for company specific info such as company logos, phone & address info as well as two pages of terms and conditions that optionally can be printed (controlled by an imput parm/flag).
    Okay, bursting works great. The automatic emailing works great. And I can create my POs and view them on line with full terms and conditions great.
    BUT, if I try to including the terms and conditions and burst/email the po shows up in my email normally but without the terms and conditions.
    I suspect it is a problem with the subtemplate, but I am at a loss as the other information that is fed from OTHER subtemplates (phone, address, logo, etc) is all appearing fine in the burst/emailed purchase orders.
    Any ideas why EBS refuses to burst/email my terms and conditions (only)?
    Scott

    issue has been resolved after adding VIP ip information to EBS host, and this is due to missing RAC VIP entries in EBS middle tier.
