Automatic email when an alert occurs

Hello!
We would like to automatically send emails in case of specific aborted jobs.
Therefore we set the parameters for the CCMS_OnAlert_Email method via RZ21 > Method definitions.
(according to SAP note 176492).
We configured SAPConnect and would like to send mail via SMTP (SCOT settings are set properly)
external mail address.
Example 1:
1. SENDER <ADMINUSER> (in client 000)
2. RECIPIENT OPERATOR1 (in client 000)
3. RECIPIENT-TYPEID B
We set therefore for the user OPERATOR1 (client 000) a valid Mail adress.
Unfortunately no mail can be send with with settings.
Can some one describe the mapping of recipient user within method definition (OPERATOR1) and their external mail adress within SU01 in order to get mail in case of alerts?

Our method definition within tcode RZ21 looks as follows:
1. SENDER <ADMINUSER> (in client 000)
2. RECIPIENT OPERATOR1 (in client 000)
3. RECIPIENT-TYPEID B
Within SU01 we set for the user OPERATOR1 a valid Mail address (type: INT).
Unfortunately no mails can be send to the OPERATOR1 mail accountu2026
Is this right configuration?

Automatic email when a dump occured

Is there a way to generate an email when a dump happens on an SAP instance.

I have the same problem.
I want to create an email when a dump occured.
In RZ20,I assigned the method CCMS_OnAlert_Email as
autoreaction method to the MTE class R3AbapShortdumps.
I configured the method with SENDER,RECIPIENT etc.
'Execute method' on is set to 'the local server of the MTE to be prcessed'.
When a short-dump occured,the view 'Status Autoreaction' shows 'checked Run required',
but no Email is sent.When I start the method manually (edit->nodes->start method,the
email appears.
What did I forget or what's wrong ?

Login pop-up when launching Webdynpro ABAP application from SAP Inbox

Hello All,
We have configured our workflow to trigger WD ABAP application from SAP Inbox.
However when we launch the workitem from SAP Inbox, we are getting a login pop-up screen in IE which prompts us to enter SAP password.
Can you please help how can we avoid getting that login screen and how the WD ABAP application can single sign on from SAP GUI to IE for that user-id.

You can configure User(RFC) and password for your webdynpro appl'n using SICF tcode.
Path : /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/(your wdp appln)

Configuring Alert in RZ20 from Java system

Hi Experts!!!
We have configured solman for ccms alert monitoring,We get the alerts displayed inthe solman for all the system in the landscape.But is it possible for us to monitor the java system (add-in installation) using rz20 from the abap system.We have configured the csmreg user and generated file and also registered the user through visual admin,But in the j2ee engines there data is not displayed.There were no errors occured during the configuration.

Hi,
You could use WF in a different way.
1. Create a WF "When modified record saved" with the condition [<DueDate>]-Today() = 1 (or any value depending on your requirement)
2. Create an email notification.
3. Here is the tricky part. You will have to do something to the records that have due date less than today and maybe not completed. Write a simple WS to query for these records and update some field to the same value (say any field that doenst make much difference even if updated).
The WS will trigger the WF rule.

User should see at least one default text (eg; Hi) in the mail body if the sender did not type any text in the mail body when sending a mail from SAP.
Is it possible to set like this on Subject also.

Error when printing a PDF direct from SAP archive

Hi together,
I try to print a PDF direct from SAP archive and I got the error ""C:\Program files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\reader\AcroRd.exe" /p /h" not found. In the internet I found several topics which describe this way to print a PDF without open the Acrobat Reader.
The customizing for document management (Local application) seems o.k. If I remove in the registry the parameters /h /p for print, Acrobat Reader will open and show the document if I use the print button in SAP.
Have anybody an idea what the reason is?

The rundll32 error seems to have disappeared. Until this morning I had both this error and the rundll32. All other types of docs open fine. This one will open if saved to the desktop first, but not from Outlook.

You have 2 options
#1 You can set Alerts at the announcement list level as shown below. In the send alerts to users you can add your user emails or distribution list email and choose email as delivery method. You can choose to
send Announcements on various actions that are there on the form. This is simple way. This send email the out of the box style. You cannot change that.
#2 The other option is to use SharePoint Designer and set a workflow on changes and send mail. You can customize the look and feel of it there.

IPhone 5 synced to Exchange sends automatic email when I RSVP to a calendar invite. I don't want that.

I have an iPhone 5 that is synced to my work's Exchange server for my contacts, calendar, and emails. When I RSVP to a calendar invite the phone automatically sends an e-mail to the sender. Many times I do not want to send an e-mail. For example I may not attend a specific meeting but I still want it on my calendar. I have to accept the invite in order for the event to remain on my calendar. How do I turn off that feature? Please help. IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

Did you find a solution to this? I'm having the same problem. My default account is my work account, but Calendar invites are being send from my icloud account.

Stopping Automatic emails When Posting Files

We need to post workfiles to a beehive team collaboration site. The system is automatically generating a "document posted" email for each one. How do we stop these emails from going out? We are just clogging up the team's email in boxes.

When the system was set up the creator chose to have autosubscription enabled. This means that any create or update action will generate a file to all participants in the Workspace.
The subscription setting is at an individual level so can be switched off by the individual using the https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/BOLAdmin.html tool - navigate to the All My Workspaces tab and click on the Workspace - the right hand panel will allow you to disable the subscription for you on the Workspace - or allow you to restrict the notification to a folder/sub-folder.
If you need to have the subscription unset for the group you need to do 2 things:
1. Go to the group creation tool - click on the group name and switch off the auto-subscribe. this will stop any new users being set up with subscriptions.
2. Let us know the Workspace name via the [email protected] email address and we can remove it from the existing users en-masse.

How Popup window automatically open, when I got new approval from any user?

I have an application in Form6i, where different users send approvals to me, when somebody send me new approvals there is indication to me, I used timer, and I Execute Query in When Timer Expire trigger , so a display item is appear when I received new approval. But this is only applicable on the Approvals screen, when I navigate to another screen I have not get an indication of new Approvals.
Now I want to get an indication of an approval on every screen in my application in the form of Popup window.
A window is automatically open before me on any screen when new approval is come.
THIS IS JUST LIKE YAHOO MAIL BOX, WHEN WE WORKING IN ANY APPLICATION JUST LIKE MS WORD, EXCEL ETC. AND WHEN NEW MAIL COMES IN ACCOUT THERE IS AN INDICATION IN STATUS BAR “RECEIVES ONE NEW MESSAGE”
Please send me the solution of this problem on urgent basis.

Instantiate from your forms application a second forms application which calls your form with the timer or which contains a procedure which has registred itself for a message (use dbms_pipe).
Your starting form code will call via a host command ifrun32.exe with all required parameters and the name of the form containing the timer or listener. Now you have two forms applications running on your pc but the "mailbox"one can get minimized and maximized the moment a message is detected.

Is there a way to configure XI to automatically send an email if a scheduled report fails to run successfully?

This is actually configured at the report level from the CMC and not via auditing. For each report that you want notification(s)to be set for, switch to the Schedule tab --> Notification in the CMC. Enable email notifications as required. ie. "A job has failed to run. "

IMAP setup on a Blackberry gets the original email when replied to or forwarded from Outlook.

I configured IMAP on my blackberry, but every time I reply to or forward an email in Outlook, the original email that I am responding to or forwarding gets sent back to my blackberry

The outlook/microsoft exchange does not support the full IMAP standard and changes the UID of the email every time you click on it, reply to it, open it, or forward it. The blackberry server only checks for the UID, and if it's not the same as the one on your phone, it'll download it again.
I really wish either the Blackberry server would check for more than the UID (Gmail does it), but so far it seems neither company will budge. Microsoft wants to do it their way (go figure) and RIM wants to adhere to the standard (makes sense).
Really, I think RIM should just back down from their stronghold and check for more than UID to determine if an email is new or not.

How to automate the process of vendor invoice verificaiton from SAP

My client to scan the Invoice (once it is received from vendor), upload it in SAP, the User will look at the Invoice in SAP and then perform Invoice Verification in MIRO.
The Process mechanics is
1.Plant Manager will receive the Invoice physically by the vendor
2.Plant Manager then will fax the Invoice to a central location/Team
3.It gets scanned and gets uploaded in SAP
4.The Manager/FI folks will looked at this scanned copy and then perform
Inv. Verification.
After this i need to enhance the MIRO screen so that once PO or GR no will be entered,
then corresponding vendor invoice has to be displayed in same screen
Kindly can u give me approach to for the above requirement.
