Automatic generation of Proxies and RFC Adapters after change

After a maintenance on the server, or new transports on the xi, uploading new RFC function modules often the Proxies and RFC Adapters have to be restarted.
If you are not aware of that kind of changes the messages arrive in the wrong format, funny things happen and so on...
Question: Is it possible to scedule a job on the xi which automatically generates all proxies and adapters new in order to minimize message/service errors after uploads and changes?

Did you run program RIMODGEN in SE38 with appropriate variant to generate new integration models ? The spro settings or CFC9 have nothing to do with generation of new integration models. try to do some forum search on Integration Models and you may get some clue.

You can test if HTTP adapter is working fine or not as mentioned below.
1. test the adapter_plain service in TCODE SICF
adapter_plain service can be found under /default_host/sap/xi/adapter_plain
or
2. TCODE : SMICM and then Shift + F1 and you can see the status of the HTTP server

Why is it better to use Proxies and not adapters

When I connect 2 systems via XI, i can use proxies (if supported by the external systems) or adapters.
The general view of SAP is that I should use (JAVA or ABAP) proxies where possible, and not adapters.
Why are these "better" than file adapter or idoc adapter (monitoring, error handling, performance, ?????).

As received from SAP :
Proxies support both Synchronous and Async. Connectivity - ALE/IDOC is only Async.
Proxies don't use standard IDOCS, but what you decide to use in the proxy def. on SAP side.
Proxies are only supported on 6.20 onwards.
I would use IDOC adapters for standard IDOCS - and if no ABAB knowledge is available for maintenance.
If there is a standard ALE scenario available - I would use it (eg. Masterdata replication).
If ABAB is already extensively used in the organisation and they are running 6.20+ - I would use proxies.
I would always prefer proxies for Synch. Communication - instead of RFC (if running 6.20+).

Lost all files and applications installed after changing user profile in the registry of windows 8.1 pc

The original user profile on my windows 8.1 pc is C:\Apple\acer sm. I tried changing it to C:\Apple\Apple. After I rebooted my PC, I found out that all my files and applications are lost. What shall I do to recover them?

We wonder if you changed the registry entry or path of user profile.
If you did that in registry please try changing it back.
After changing your user profile and reboot, system won’t read the profile you changed but a new user profile (C:\Apple\acer sm or TEMP) should be created by system. Try renaming this new one as acer sm.old and changing the apple back to acer sm.
It should works fine if you didn’t change file in profile, if it doesn’t work perform a system restore.

Need feasible one from Abap Proxies or RFC Adapters

Hi Experts,
I have two ways to do my scenario, either I can go for RFC adapter or ABAP server proxies. Out of these two I can't judge which one is good at performance.But I have a favour on ABAP proxies. Please comment on this and it would be more helpful if u provide related document on this.

How to install Ethernet and Wireless adapters after fresh install

My laptop's hard disk died. I got a new hard disk and did a fresh install. But I can't see the Ethernet and Wireless icons on the tray. I am assuming that I have to install those drivers. How do I go about that?

The easiest way is to download
1, Go to Lenovo's support site, find the driver matrix for your model of ThinkPad, download the Ethernet driver, and install it.
2. Then download and install ThinkVantage System Update.
3. Run TVSU and let it find and install all the drivers, utilities, etc. that you need.
You'll also want to do a Microsoft Update at the Microsoft site.

Update S066 and S067 tables after changing the credit horizon

Hi,
I have changed the credit horizon which was previously month to day through OMO1. However after making this change, all the contents of credit management in the table S066 and S067 were deleted. Is there a way to update the the tables after this change has already been made? I tried using the programs RJ-JANEU and RJ-JFNEU, by slelcting the checkbox Reorganize credit data, however I get a message stating No orders/Billing documents to be updated were found.
I would appreciate if someone could guide me through the process that needs to be followed. Thank you for your help in advance.

How do you change your Apple ID in iCloud and Facetime, etc. after changing your Apple ID?

I changed my Apple ID and now all of the related applications like Facetime, iCloud, and others are prompting for the old Apple ID and I can not find any way to change the id for these apps. Can anyone tell me what has to be done? Should I change the Apple ID beck to the original?

Basically, you have to "sign out" of all those services using your previous Apple ID.

... but if you did not, it's easily remedied.

Best practice to restart weblogic and managed servers after changing pass

i need to know if have an installation with the following structer what is the best practice to restart the servers after we change weblogic password ?and i know that i should change boot.properties with the new password ,is there anything else to change ? please advise .

the order is to restart:All managed servers and followed by Admin server
If your weblogic server is integrated with oid, you need to change the credentilas in both the places ie weblogic server(boot.properties) and idm server
if your weblogic server is using your internal ldap for the authentication, your idm and oam wil not effect with this change
if you change the boot.properties file that is enough, you don't need to change anywhere

Event start time sets automatically to 19:00 and can't be changed

New Events are automatically given a start time of 19:00 and cannot be changed. In addition, all my previously entered events, both single and recurring, have had their start times set to 19:00. My iMac had been unused for almost three months and upon returning to the machine, an update was available for Max OS, which I allowed to be installed. One of the first things to try is "refresh" the com.apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the .plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior.
Also open System Preferences...>Language & Text>Formats>Region and set/reset the appropriate region. Then set/reset "Customize..." in "Times."

Lost audio and slowed video after changing to WIN 8

Apparently there were drivers to correct this issue from conexant high defintion audio 220. Is there any chance that drivers will be updated? And video has slowed down by 4 times.

Did you use the Microsoft Compatibility Center for Windows 8 . before you upgraded to Win 8?

You may have to go back to Win 7, on the other hand you can try to load Win 7 drivers on Win 8, does not always work though.

I have 3rd generation iPad retina and it seriously overheats?

I have I pad 3rd generation retina display and purchased this after 2nd generation was stolen and found overseas (had no home insurance) as recently was going through a bad 24 year marriage divorce and had to stop working a month later due to illness cancer. I had to use last of savings to replace my sons iPad. As I was ill I did not really use the new I pad for at least six months my son who it belongs to was 11 years old and as I put it in leather case and had rules about charging whilst using iPad ( meaning He Was Not Allowed To USE whilst on charge) I did not notice the problem in the beginning although after that noticed iPad 3 seriously heated whilst charging and also prolonged use this has became more and more of a problem lately to the stage where you can't use it for more than 20 mins without actually hurting your hands. My granddaughter who owns her own iPad 2 picked up my iPad recently what was charging in my sons bedroom without a case or cover and she got that much of a shock when she picked it up that dropped it and cracked the screen. Apart from that her eight finger tips were red and on one hand tiny blisters were apparent on two fingers surely this is a problem. And as not in warranty this does should not affect my statuary rights as a consumer under consumer laws can anyone help ?

Your situation is definitely a problem, you have my sympathies. I can pretty much be sure that Apple will at least want to hear about this. I don't know what they will do but any iPad that overheats enough to burn someone they want to know about.
Contact Apple using www.apple.com/support/contact if you are in a country that supports it or call the appropriate phone number on this page. Alternatively carry the iPad in to an Apple retail store or service provider. Tell them exactly what happend. Apple is always concerned about the safety of their customers.
