Automatic GL Entry Reconciliation when there's no reference entered?

I am investigating Automatic Entry Reconciliation functionality, which is a part of Common Country Features.
In Oracle Financials Common Country Features User Guide, p.78. it says:
General Ledger Automatic Reconciliation Report
General Ledger can only perform automatic reconciliation for transactions that
have:
■ Matching balancing segments
■ Matching account segments
■ Matching reconciliation references if you enter No for the Null References
parameter, or blank reconciliation references if you enter Yes for the Null
References parameter
Does somebody know what is the logic when automatic reconciliation is run for journal entries without reference (reference is NULL).
I have tried to run Automatic Reconciliation on EMEA Sandbox 11.5.10.2 Vision Instance (http://i3dl143e.idc.oracle.com:8007/) with 'French GL Localizations' responsibility, but concurrent is not matching/reconciling anything, althoug unreconciled report is showing unreconciled lines which can be reconciled.
It is showing the same if I try to reconcile lines with reference entered.

Hi Henry,
Semi Automatic GL Reconciliation gives you half control. You need to play with criteria to find want recommendations could be realized based on you criteria selected. If you only need match Amount, select this setting only.

Hi all,
Is there any way for me to know when there are no references to an object without using finalize()?
I want to pool created objects when it is safe to do so.
finalize() won't work since it is called only once for every object instance.

If you are trying to establish an object pool by placing the objects back in the pool when there are no references to the object, then I am afraid you are out of luck.
If there were no references, then you would not have a "handle" on the object to be able to manipulate it in any way (like putting it back in the pool).
If you are talking about something else, then the classes in java.lang.ref.*, might be of use.
If you are really trying to pool objects, then you should have some sort of "close" method in the objects that is called when they are no longer needed and can be returned to the pool.

In Lookout 4.0.1 why does launching the L4P tie up the modem when there's no reference to the modem in the file??

Running Lookout 4.0.1 on an NT machine. Lookout launches fine, but when the process file is started the "TR" lamp on the modem lights up. There is no reference to the modem in the L4P; no objects use it. The DL205 object uses Com 1 (configured in Lookout as hardwired)via DB9 serial RS-232 to communicate with the PLC port but computer's modem is on Com2. This anomaly is preventing another application from using the modem to dial-out alarms. What's up with this?

We do not supply the computer used by the customer so we cannot control consistency or choice of hardware. That said, we HAVE successfully used Lookout and the other application (the one that's trying to access the modem) many times in other computers without having this "conflict".
The built-in COM port is being used.
I did check the text in the LKS. file before posting: no reference to COM2.
The site is 10 hrs away. They won't allow any VPN connections, so we can't assist remotely.
Unless someone can add another suggestion, I'm resigned to hand this over solely to the customer's IT dept saying it's THEIR problem.

Calender automatically deletes entries even when set to "keep forever"

Help!! I'm a new blackberry curve owner, and I am very dependant on my calender. It's just started deleting past entries (anything over 24 hours) even though my settings are to "keep forever". I have contacted my service provider and they said it's because I've run out of memory and calender entries and text messages are low priority. Is there anyway to ensure they don't get deleted? Is there anything I can do (other then set the texts to keep for only 15 days - already done) to ensure I always have enough memory? Is there anyway to recover my deleted entries? I don't have it synched to my computer or outlook. Much thanks!

Deleted messages that are not synced are gone. I am sorry. Please go to options > status > and post your file free. It is VERY likely this is your issue.
To free up memory make sure that your pictures are on a media card, that you remove any messages/MMS you dont need, delete unused applications, etc.

AdminExplorer won't automatically resize when there are lots of folders

On one of my portal pages there is an iView based on a modified AdminExplorer layout set. It is modified so that the folders are not displayed in the main area - only in the left hand tree area.
The iView is set to automatically resize. So when there are more files, the iView gets bigger instead of scrolling.
However, when the size of the folder tree increases (e.g. by opening subfolders in the tree area), the iView does not resize. Instead, a scroll bar appears for the tree area.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Search help dialog when there is only one entry

Hi experts,
I am developing a Webdynpro app and I can't find the way of skiping the search help dialog when there is only one entry on the result, just like in SE37 when you put the function name with * and it automatically puts the only ocurrence in the field with no dialog for selection. Right now my application is working correctly but it alwas show the dialog even when there is only one entry on the result.

Use OVS to achieve this., when u press start search select the values from table into internal table (lt_object_list)
n = lines( lt_object_list ). " this gives the number of records in internal table..
if n = 1.
set_attribute( ) .. to the input field.
else.
co phase 3.
call popup window to display objects
endif.

Myself as well...
I think it is a tremendous problem. Im my case it is extremelly important to manage, organize and sort favorites.
I am new to Mac and safari... and I spent a lot of time researching a solution for that thinking it was me that couldnt find this option. I like to use safari because of the "gestures". This is great. But when it comes to favorites, safari is a nightmare!!!
Also, I use to like the option in Firefox that we can have the leftside bar with the favorites and navigate to the links in the right. In safari the links are open in the full page. And then we need to come back to the favorite everytime.
I would be glad if someone could come out with good solution or suggestions how to deal with it in fafari.

Script to resume automatically when there is a disruption

In my PL/SQL script, I want to include the logic for the script to resume automatically when there is a power outage or any other kind of disruption.
The script is inserting huge data and I dont want it to restart from the point it started in case of a outage.
I know of resumable_timeout parameter in case of space issue. Anything else?
Please suggest.

Let's say your processing code is done in procedure FooProc - and as good PL/SQL code does, it leaves the decision of when the end of the business transaction arrives, to the caller. In other words, the caller commits.
Now to create this restartable-process-in-case-of-a-power-failure-or-any-other-instance-failure, you write the following code:

end;This starts a DBMS_JOB process. When there is an instance failure, the job process will be undone (rolled back). When the instance starts again, this job will be restarted.

The only time that it will fail, is after 16 successive instance outages. If a job fails 16 times in succession, it is marked as a broken job. It remains in the job queue for investigation, but will not be executed again until marked as not broken.
And yes, this is the correct approach.. any other approach (like manual restart points) are extremely risky and typically how one should not do it.

This table is expanding automatically, when there is more data from database column.
We want the font size should be reduced automatically to fit into this fixed size row, instead of expanding the row automatically.

I just tried to fix the row height in the table properties and turned off the allow row to vreak across pages but the row height specification had no effect. You may have to look at some sort of XSL-FO statements but I'm not good on XSL. Still not sure about moving the data across to the next page. The "allow row to break across pages" controls this but I don't see it helping you in a pre printed stationary application.
Do you generate the xml yourself? If so you could look at controlling the size of the element(s) in question and generating the extra lines in the XML rather than trying to do it in the template.

automatic garbage collectorI don't recognize that particular method but some classes have a so called explicit termination method. Usually classes which allocate OS resources have such a method. It has to be called before the object is released for GC so the OS resourses can be returned properly.

Bridge Does Not Automatically Bring Up Photoshop When the Photo is Double-Clicked

I have just purchased CS4 with Bridge for my new MacIntosh. In Bridge for the PC, when I double click a photo it automatically brings up Photoshop. On the Mac version, it gives me an error message saying that part of the application is not loaded. I completely uninstalled the program, and reloaded the application and still get the same message. So in Bridge on the Mac, to get around this, I right click the picture and go to "Open With" and there are two entries: "Open with CS4 (default)" and "Open with CS4." This works if I pick either option. My Windows version only has "Open with CS4 (default)" as the option.
I called Adobe support (in India?) with no solution.
I really like the double click option rather that using the pop-out menu choice. What is wrong with the Mac install, and how can I fix this issue?

disk?) or you did not use the the default application folder on root level

I'm having a problem to clear the GR / IR account where there is a value difference in dr and cr line items. when ther is foreign currency postings some of the dr or cr line items are having value difference in decimals. I checked the tolerance limits also still those entries are pending for clearing in f.13. This is GR/IR clearing account so I cannot do manual clearing. This has to be done through automatic clearing. Please reply in detail. Thanks in advance for going through my query and for giving your value time.
