Automatic Junk Deposits After TechTool??

This is weird. As a precaution -- so much for that -- I ran the new TechTool Deluxe to get a fix on my G5's sitrep. Everything checked out -- I wish I had the report -- but the tool wanted to "fix" 8,000-plus "errors," probably in file structure, or ...? So, being a Big Believer 'n all, though I had not experienced evident operating trouble, I clicked the Sure, Go Ahead! button.
Now, very nearly all, but not all, new eMail into the two accounts checked by my Apple Mail setup goes directly into the Junque Folder. But get this: They are not labeled as Junque unless I so designate them in the Folder.
I checked my rules for filtering ***** enlargement patches and such, and there is no apparent reason found in Rules. I'm forced to check the Junque Folder just like another eMail Inbox, but this is annoying and, as I've seen recently, unreliable. The phenomenon is not repeated in the Apple Mail Web environment, just locally.

Assuming there is nothing wrong with your rules, try this:
1. Go to Preferences > Junk Mail, disable junk mail filtering, then enable it again. This resets the rule that governs what the junk filter does.
2. Choose either Training or Automatic mode (it doesn’t matter) and leave the other options checked. Click Advanced to see how the junk filter rule is defined now if you want, but don’t touch anything there.
3. Reset the junk filter database (Preferences > Junk Mail > Reset).
