Automatic license refresh messed up

Another one:
Every time CIAC automatically refreshes its license, it messes everything up at the license service items table and thus the license popup displays "undefined" for version and edition fields. Why is that and how could that be solved ?
I've been fixing it every day by removing all the lines in the license table (at the service items manager in the portal) and forcing a refresh at the license popup.
Any directions on the reason of such problem ?

    I can see the system data in License management overview
    For one particular system , the maintenance license got expired and is displaying as Red in color

    Why my Automatic license management doesn't renew the maintenance license for this system at service market place?

    Now I have manually renewed it at service market place for that particular system .
    but still It is showing red in color in License management overview
    Trouble shooting :
    I ran REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT and checked but still the the new license didn't reached solman system
    The job log doesn't gives any error.
    Please let me know what I'm missing.

    That's all I've seen too. Only option at the moment is to apple key + R to reload the open tab - too bad it doesn't work for multiple tabs.
    With Safari 3.0 on the way (OS X Leopard debut), I encourage you to send feedback to Apple suggesting an automatic reload function.
    PS I checked Version Tracker and MacUpdate for possible sources. Nothing found.

    RFC Destination as "INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI"
    Connection Type: H
    Under Technical Setting TAB
    Target Host: write the host name
    Path Prefix: /dir/CacheRefresh
    Service No: enter J2ee port no (e.g. 50000)
    Under Logon/Security TAB
    select Basic Authontication radio button
    SSL select inactive
    Under Logon:
    Lang: EN
    Client: enter client
    User: XIISUSER
    Password: *******
    Under Special Option TAB
    HTTP Setting:
    HTTP Ver: HTTP 1.0
    Compression: inactive
    Compressed response: NO
    HTTP Cookies: Yes (All)
    After doing abobe, press the Test Connection button and accept all cookies and see what is the result. After this refresh the cacahe by sxi_cache.

  • App-V 5.0 no longer allows a manual or automatic publishing refresh to add and/or remove applications

    We just received confirmation from Microsoft that there has been what we deem a major behavior change in App-V 5.0 from 4.x. With 4.x you could add a user to an AD group that is assigned to a virtual application then on the client machine the user could
    right click the App-V icon in the system tray and choose 'Refresh Applications' and the app's icon would appear immediately. You could also wait for the configured automatic refresh time and the app's icon would be added immediately. Same applied is you
    removed a user from an app group.
    This is no longer the case in App-V 5.0 as there is only one way to get app to be added or removed from client and that is to have them log off and log back on. Like many organizations, we have users who do not routinely log off/log on, they just lock
    their PC and unlock it. These people would never get a new app added or removed!
    In the 5.0 client there is an 'update' button, but all this does is apply any changes to an already assigned application such as if you changed the icon name, and that only occurs after the default 10 minute publishing server to management server refresh
    has occurred (although you can change this from 10 minutes to something lower).
    My point is, in 4.6 you could add a user to a group and have them click refresh and the user had the app immediately or tell them to continue working normally and the new app icon would appear within an hour. We opened a case with premier
    support and they confirmed that this behavior change is expected, although the engineer sounded shocked that this was the case and he seemed surprised this had not come up yet. Also, I recall that at TechEd 2010 the App-V team demoed the beta version
    and one of the things the did was add a user to a group, click the then named refresh button and the app would appear.
    As I mentioned above, in the RTM build this button has been renamed to 'Update' but its not just a name change, but a complete change from 4.6 and the 5.0 beta 1.  I have been unable to find any documentation from Microsoft pointing out this major
    change in behavior, and the fact that a member of the App-V team that authored the KB about server publishing refresh times in App-V 5.0 was surprised to realize this change (see

    This will  prevent us from migrating to 5.0. Any one know of a workaround or some other option?  If you want to see what I am talking about, log onto a machine with the 5.0 client, add yourself to an App-V 5.0 app group that you are not already

    I am trying to refresh a report in less time than 1 minute, then I try to use the information in Metalink note:130035.1 How to Implement Automatic Refresh in a Report:

    I add this html code in Header Text -> "Add Text". But this report is included in a page with other portlets and when I am refreshing the report all the page is refreshed although I put html only in Report's Header Text. How could I refresh only the report, not the page with the other portlets?
    myOracle.com portal implements something like this using frames but I don't know how to create an iFrame and include my report in that.

    You should update to the latest version of Apex (3.2). I don't think this kind of solution works in 2.2. See this example how your requirements can be done:

  • Automatic license provisioning, what im doing wrong?

    Im admin on a Internet Cafe. I have problems with customers installing viruses, keyloggers, crap, password stealers and such on our computers.
    To maximize the security, I did decide to set up a iSCSI server, with one central image ("golden master image") and 20 "cow" images that are deleted each reboot of the actual computer. The computers boots using gPXE and the computers
    are completely diskless.
    This also makes it easier to update, only one computer needs to be updated (in "personell mode" or "admin mode") and then every computer is updated since every computer boots the exact same read-only image. All writes are redirected to
    the "cow" image, which are subsuquently deleted when the computer is shutdown, causing the PC to reset to a pristine state.
    Now to the bizarre licensing problem:
    I have 20 legally valid and purchased WINDOWS 7 license keys - NON VOLUME KEYS, ONE SINGLE KEY PER COMPUTER.
    Since each computer boots the exact same image, the licenses must be "provisioned" into the computer
    after the initial boot. This must happen
    each reboot because the computes do not have write rights, so pc1 gets its license files and activation files that belong to pc1, pc2 gets its activation files and so on.
    So what I have done:
    I have activated each PC one by one. For each activated PC, I copyed:
    C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\tokens.dat
    C:\Windows\System32\spp\tokens\pkeyconfig\pkeyconfig.xrm-ms
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\spp\tokens\pkeyconfig\pkeyconfig.xrm-ms
    to the server (192.168.1.2) and ask it to serve the "correct" tokens.dat and pkeyconfig.xrm-ms, and correct Windows License Key, based on the IP adress doing the request, so if 192.168.1.101 ask for licenses, I serve them the license files
    "coming" from PC1, if 192.168.1.102 ask for license, I serve them the files for PC2 and so on.
    the FSO.GetTempName is a attempt from me to prevent caching by making sure the URL is unique each time.

    Now to the problem:
    When the computer boots, it tell me that the windows needs to be reactivated in 3 days because its run on different hardware.
    Checking the "PRODUCT ID", it reveals that the windows are running on the license belongning to the PC that the system was last set in "ADMIN" mode on. (eg the last license that was permanently written to disk)
    If I run the above script again, then windows become fully activated.
    Now checking the "PRODUCT ID", it reveals that the correct license are being used.
    It seems that windows licensing are caching something, but what? Or im doing something in the incorrect order.
    Im are deleting "C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\Cache\cache.dat" but still it caches something somewhere.
    Whats the problem?

  • Automatic Page Refresh Not Working Correctly

    This is Apex 3.2 with no jquery (Theme 15)
    I have a background job which is started from an apex page.
    Once the job is started the user can view this job via an interactive report.
    This report has highlighting and one updateable column.
    APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_LOV(4,a.status,'JOB_STATUS',null,'YES',null,'-Select-') status
    I have an application item that the user can set via a select list.
    This application item is used to set the page refresh (html page header)
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="&F270_REFRESH_INTERVAL.">
    Once they have set this item, the the page is supposed to be refreshed after so many seconds.
    The page seems to be refreshing, as the report highlighting changes and report values change,
    but the updateable column value (select list) does not change.
    Any ideas much appreciated

    If I use a button to refresh the page, ie submit and branch back to itself, then the report
    reflects the changes.
    If I put <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="&F270_REFRESH_INTERVAL."> into the page header (to automatically refresh),
    then the page refreshes, but the updateable column does not update.
    If I look at the page source it says
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    and not
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5">

    Can I have my block refresh automatically without doing an execute query ? I would like to refresh only the lines that got changed or updated in the DB by another process.

    I have upgraded to Patch 14 and I do commit within the Form and have the DML Returning Value = YES. I still do not see the changes in the rows until I refresh or execute the query.
    I do not want to use a timer or some kind of polling to the server to see if the changes happened on the DB. Ideal way would be to have the server (8i) send the client any changes on the DB automatically and Form accept them without any requering or refreshing.

  • Automatic UWL refresh ?

    I am using a custom workflow. the task is called in UWL and there is a Z-report called with SAP-GUI HTML. so a window pops up, inside there is the z-report for approval of the workflow. then the user closes the sap-gui-html window.
    so far so good, BUT: the workitem remains in the UWL-inbox. how can I automaticly refresh the UWL after the user has closed the window with the SAP GUI HTML ???

    Based upon the scenario that you have described you mentioned wanting to: "automaticly refresh the UWL after the user has closed the window with the SAP GUI HTML".
    Ok here there are some important points to highlight and parameters to follow.
    With the UWL upon initial logon it firstly takes a total of 5 minutes for all of the tasks to load into the interface and this is completely normal behaviour (on initial logon). The UWL works using two Pull operations. Firstly tasks are pulled from the backend into the UWL cache. and they are then pulled a second time from the cache into the UWL User Interface. Due to this architecture there is an inherent delay in the automatic refreshes of the UWL. There is no way, in the current architecture that the UWL can refresh instantaneously. This is upon inital loading as the cache must be built first upon logon so there will always be a delay. Real time refresh in the latest versions, is only when you complete a task.

    These are details that you need in order for the performance to be optimal in the Universal Worklist. Please check through the documentation to see if your parameters are set accordingly and also that you have followed the information in this documentation.
    In terms or real-time refresh there is a minimum entry value 20 seconds is the minimum value that the parameter in question can be set to. This is a predefined standard for the "real time refresh" of work items and therefore the value of the paramter must be at least 20.
    ** Remember RTR (Real-Time-Refresh is ONLY for completed tasks) **
    I believe the first point of analysis here would be to examine your current property configurations to see what the current setup is and more importantly does this setup promote and support optimal performance of the Universal Worklist.
    In your xml file, find the word refresh. Here you will see it is = 300 by default. This is in seconds, so this means every user will have their page refresh rate set to 5 minutes, unless configured otherwise, through personalization, or xml file.
    ** Remember never to set any value to a minus number as this will significantly impair performance **
    Alternatively the page refresh rate can be configured directly in the xml file for all users. This parameter is displayed as "refresh" = 300 by default. The value is in seconds. (For more information see: Views). The smallest that this value can be set is 1 minute.
    So the smallest value you can set this to in the xml file is 60 seconds. Please ensure when you have uploaded your new file, that you rename it, upload it with high priority, then reregister the connector and clear the UWL cache.
    ** This should be no less that 60 seconds. **
    Lastly regarding the core parameter options for the UWL and Refresh setups for tasks being pulled there are a few considerations to bear in mind. The first of which involves the Cache Validity > the page refresh rate > the delta pull channel refresh period. If there is low volume, then these should be low values, if there is high volume, then these should be higher values, but the trade off is items out of date with longer times.
    The delta pull period should be no longer than the time that task is required to be updated in the UWL for all new items from the backend. If the items are created more frequently, the period should be shortened and the opposite. Better results for performance will be with greater values, but in this case, the items may not be always up to date. The minimal value is 60 seconds, which is also the default. This corresponds to the following parameter on the portal in the UWL Admin UI for the webflow connector - Delta Pull Channel Refresh Period (in Seconds): 60

  • Automatic ALV refresh and display

    HI
    Im creating a ALV automatic refresh report. I have set the timer for every 10 seconds. I have set the breakpoint in the Select statement up to 5 rows and find initially , the internal table contains items 0 ,1,2,3,4 and after 10 seconds(setting the timer for 10 seconds) , itab contains items 5,6,7,8,9.
    This is fine.
    Im trying to display this is ALV. The initial ALV with items 0,1,2,3,4 is found wherease even after 10 secons the values in the ALV are not changing to 5,6,7,8,9. They remain in the initial state.
    Kindly help me how to chnage the data in the ALV grid after refresh is happening without any USERCOMMANDS ( ie , data changed in the ALV grid every 10 seconds without any user interaction)

  • Automate post refresh process

    Hi,
    I am doing system refresh from Porduction to QA and my client has a
    need to automate most of the biggest post refresh steps like language
    suppliment install, BDLS and SGEN.
    We are running SAP ECC5/AIX5 and oracle9.
    Question is how can we install language suppliment and create a in
    batch job after system refresh ? can we create batcj job as a transport
    and where should we keep it in target system or a source system ?
    The main goal here is to automate these post steps and make the refresh
    time shorter.

    We can use Group Policy to change the default AutoArchive settings for all users. However, if the AutoArchive setting for separate folders is set to "Do not archive items in this folder", the Group Policy settings won't apply to these separate
    folders and there is no way to deploy AutoArchive settings to separate folders.
    Since you are in Exchange 2007 environment, we can use Managed Folders instead of AutoArchive to achieve the same goal. See:

  • Automatic Page Refresh With Modal Popup

    Hi,
    I'm sure there is a simple solution to this and I can see there are several pages discussing something similar but I’m struggling.
    I have a page that has a modal popup, the base page needs to be automatically refresh every ten seconds unless the modal page is open?
    Any ideas on what would be the simplest way to achieve this.

    I'm getting there, I can set a value (table or page variable) when the modal page is open and closed but i'm having trouble with the page refresh.
    Current I have a region with the following code
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="10">
    It has a conditional display based on a page variable, the problem is the the page still refreshes one more time after the value has been set which closes the modal. What I need is a simple way of checking a page variable and if that is set to Y then refresh the page otherwise dont refresh.
    Apologies in advance if this has been covered before but i've looked and not found anything suitable that I can follow.
