Automatic log on WAP Enterprise

I am having difficulty with my iPad connecting to the network at work. My work network is hidden, so I add it to my iPad. It uses a WAP Enterprise, I enter my credentials. Once it logs on to the network I enter the proxy settings. Boom, I am online! The issue is when the iPad goes to sleep and I away from it for 15 mins or more. It seems to lose the network information. It tries to reconnect to the network and asks me for the WEP password. This is strange because it does not use this type of security. I did not have this issue before I upgraded to ios 5.

  • Opening OEM for two Oracle 11gR2 Databases in the same web browser automatically log out.

    Hi to everyone,
I have an issue regarding Oracle Enterprise Manager in 11gR2. I have two database (SWPROD, PDPROD) in a single server. When I open the OEM URL for  SWPROD it is successfully logged on but when I open the OEM URL for PDPROD and successfully logged on the other tab for SWPROD will automatically logged out. And when I switch to the other tab for PDPROD it is also automatically logged out. Both OEM URL is open in a single web browser like Mozilla Firefox. What would be the reason why both OEM URL will be logged out when I open them at the same time?
Thank you for your incoming response.

Well it seems the only way to clear these out of EM was to shut BOTH RAC nodes down and power them up one at a time.  Now the updates aren't shown as required and my compliance score is where it should be.
Is this a bug ?  Seems pretty stupid to have to shut down both RAC nodes to fix this.  Powering a single RAC node off and back on did not clear this.
    Unless i'm missing something??

  • Help needed - automatic log in on public computer.   How to get rid of the account.

    Hi there
Recently while on vacation, my son logged into a public computer on his ichat.  Unfortuantely, it was clicked as automatic log in.
Now we are back home and have realized that someone has been accessing his account.
We have tried deleting the account from our home computer, however, it does not delete it from the public computer.
What will happen if we  change the password on our home computer?  Will the public computer be prompted to re-login with the new password, and therefore won't be able to?
    Help please

    hI,
Yes change the Password and they will not be able to login.
That is change the Password at the server you are using.
Either AIM itself for AIM name or iForgot for @MAC.com or MobilMe names
Login to your Google account and change the password there in your Account Settings
With any other Jabber Account you will have to use the third Party app you used to get the accounst Name set up.
    Then Change it in iChat.

  • [OBSOLET]Automatically logging in different sessions in KDM via kdmctl

I recently found comfort in KDE, so I try to use KDM on my mediacenter to manage both, a KDE session, as well as an XBMC session.
What I want to do: Log in as $USER on two different sessions, one with XBMC and one with the KDE desktop automatically on boot without the need to provide a password.
After playing a bit with the control center, I came as far as automatically logging in a user and/or allowing a user a passwordless login. This is a good first step. I cannot, however, find a way to define the session it should use, the control center setting for auto login will always use the default session (which is the last session I manually logged in to). There is no way to configure multiple sessions at once in the controlcenter.
So I looked for cli tools and discovered kdmctl. It has a number of features, for example will "kdmctl activate :1" jump to the display :1. Another step closer to my goal is "kdmctl reserve", which opens a new login prompt on the next free $DISPLAY. Now it seems like kdmctl is very session-sensitive. I need root access to call it from a tty, while a normal user is sufficient inside a KDM managed X session. Calling kdmctl in a tty will give me more options, than calling it in X, even with sudo. Upon "# kdmctl" in a tty, I can see resume, manage and login options, which are not there in a KDE session.
    What I have so far:
    1. I can use the KDE control center to log in a user automatically on :0, but I cannot specify the session (Plasma, XBMC, etc.).
    2. I can run "# kdmctl reserve" to create a new login prompt at :1
    3. I can login to :1 by issuing "# kdmctl login :1 now USERNAME PASSWORD", but only from a tty (which would be sufficient, as I intend to write a systemd unit).
    What I cannot do:
    1. I cannot specify the session. I have found http://docs.kde.org/stable/de/kde-works … opics.html, but it is not really helpful. It says I need "[session_arguments]" in the "format of printf specified .dmrc". I assume this is how I could specify my session, but I cannot find any documentation. Maybe I'm using the wrong keywords. There is neither a man page for kdmrc nor for dmrc. This is what I'd like to have some help with.
EDIT: It's not actually solved but has become obsolete. KDE4 is fading away and, according to the wiki, KDE5/plasma5 prefers SDDM. Besides that, I stopped using KDE, stopped switching sessions, stopped working on this a long time ago.

    Hi theirmimi,
Go to Manage your Apple ID (on a computer) and sign in with your Apple ID. Then you can edit the email information on your account:

I have set up two users, one for myself and one for children.  The computer automatically logs in for the children with no password required.  When the children go to spotlight and type in a search criteria all of my files show and open up.  How do I prevent this?

Log in to your account, and move all your files to your home folder. No other users should be able to access them there and they won't show up with a Spotlight search.
Make sure your kids' account(s) do not have admin privileges.

  • I don't want to be logged into game center, but it automatically logs me in every time I log out. How do I stop that from happening?

I am trying to disable my game center, but every time I log out of game center, it automatically logs me back in. How do I prevent this from happening?

System Preferences - Mail, Contacts and Calendars - delete the Facebook account you see there, and/or add your own account.

  • Log in the Enterprise Environment

Hi everyone, i'd like to know if logging in the enterprise environment i'll have a tool like the log viewer that we have in the studio.
    Thanks for help

    Hi,
I couldn't find the link where to raise a new topic. I am posting it here.
I have a custom view which I will identify from the URL parameter. When the user logs in to portal, I have to show the custom view according to the parameter I receive in URL.
    I see that in applicationsView.jsp, the currentView is obtained from (ApplicationsView)request.getAttribute(ApplicationConstants.REQUESTED_VIEW);
I would like to know if I can set the value for REQUESTED_VIEW so that currentView will pick the customized one.
Can you pls let me know how to and what object I need to set in request.setAttribute(ApplicationConstants.REQUESTED_VIEW, Object); for Object?

  • How do I reset the automatic log-in?

Originally my MacBook would remain on-line until I decided to log off. Now it automatically logs off after a short period of time (~15 minutes) and I need to log on again to get the Internet up and running. This is messing up my downloading as some files require over an hour to download and I do not want to babysit the computer to keep it logged on. What have I done and can I undo it?

Is the user logging out or is the internet disconnecting after 15 minutes?
If the user is logging out go to System Preferences > Security and there is an option to log-out after a specified time period inactive, uncheck that box.

  • Can't automatically log out of guest account

I'm setting up a computer lab of Mac Minis. I want to set them up to automatically log out after 10 minutes of no activity. I have adjusted the necessary settings in the system preferences/security settings, but it still won't completely log out of the guest account. It will get stuck at the screen which reads "If you log out, your files will be deleted". It won't go further until you choose "Delete files and log out". This completely defeats the purpose of automatically logging out. I don't trust that the users of these computers will actually log themselves out every time.
How can I change this so that this pop up screen doesn't show up but the computer just logs out?

No I haven't found a solution to this. I'm not sure what the deal is, but this seems to be an oversight of the Snow Leopard developers as far as I can tell.

  • Automatically Logging out of my web hosting service

I am using my web hosting service with Firefox 3.6.13 and I keep getting automatically logged out of the web hosting service. I contacted tech support for the web hosting service and they said it was a problem with the browser - cookies/settings/etc - I couldn't find any solution. I need to be able to set Firefox so I can stay logged into my web hosting indefinitely. Thank You.

  • Automatic log-in

hi, i have this problem with logging in automatically. basically, my computer doesn't do it. i have unchecked "disable automatic login" in the security settings of system preferences and even so, my computer still asks for my password whenever i turn it on. i also checked the login options of my account in accounts preferences and the "automatically log in as :" drop down is dimmed and so i cannot check it. i really hope you caould help me with this. thanks!

Click the lock in the lower left hand corner of system preferences and type in your administrator account password. If you have the security setting "Require administrator password to change secure settings" enabled, the secure areas of system preferences would appear dim and you wouldn't be able to click on them.

  • Won't automatic log-in

Have to use password log-in, can't get automatic to work.
    Console log reads:
    loginwindow[159] FSResolveAliasWithMountFlags returned err = -43
I'm guessing some file or alias is missing. How would I replace it.
System preferences are set to do the automatic log-in.
Have done system reinstall & Disk utilitiy permission repair. I think I'm missing something obvious but need help.
    Thanks

    I had this same problem on both a PBG412 and a G4, running Tiger 10.4.5 and .6
Tried permissions repairs, DiskWarrior, trashing old prefs, nothing helped.
    For me, the solution was:
    System Preferences>Accounts>Login Options
Check "Automatically log in as: [username]"
Then CLICK THE LOCK to prevent further changes
    See if that helps
