Dear Experts
In Automatic MSDS Report Shipping process,
I have assigned Material to Specification and MSDS Template is assigned to Generation Varient.
But How Specification is connected to the Generation Variant?
are you need to Assign Generation Variant to Material, anywhere in SPRO?
if so, where?
Could you please elaborate, How system finds appropriate MSDS Report for the Material.
Please guide me

Condition Schema: Edit Table 4 under SPRO - EHS - Product Safety -Basic Settings for Shipping from SD Documents --- Specify condition shemas for Report generation variant selection - condition schema table 4.
EH&S Report Shipping is executed by posting a delivery for an environmentally relevant material. For which you have maintained a Delivery Type, Sales Organization, Customer, Shipping date and Material Report programm RSNAST00 periodically reads the records from NAST table and transports them into table CVDDH. Only for a material that is marked as environmentally relevant in Material Master a record is created in table CVDDH. Here the Report Shipping orders are read and processed periodically. For that data saved in table CVDDH is selected by means of a specific status. This data is then preproc-essed by the process defined in Customizing for Output as Print, eMail or Fax docu-ment and transferred to the output medium.
For these processes to happen system uses Reporting programmes and WWI server. For detailed process on MSDS report shipping - I suggest you to read EH&S Report Shipping - Implementation guide which is available in SAP Market places as an attachment to SAP Note

Hi everybody,
I am doing a feasiblity study on implementing the product safety module for MSDS shipment. I would like some clarification on the implementation steps.
The scenario is: MSDS documents are created and stored outside SAP.
I am able to create the substance. a template and a variant.
Since the documents are created in PDF format outside SAP, I don't know If a WWI server should be installed in this case?
I am not able to generate a report. No data is found...Maybe a missing config??
What is a good a approach to link n material to n MSDS documents?

Hello Joni,
In order to use EH&S Report Shipment you need to have a WWI server installed.
Even if you want to to send and print MSDS that have been created outside of SAP.
Furthermore you need to upload these MSDS into SAP EH&S for the whole process to work.

You can not generate documents within EH&S Product Safety without a WWI Server.
But why do you want to create documents if the MSDSs are created outside of SAP?

Is SR Partner is a Contact(AP) or Customer(KU)?

Currently we are working on SAP R/3 3.1i version and we are migrating to ECC6.0. For regulatory reasons we have to implement EH&S and has to automate MSDS Printing. In 3.1i we defined the SR Partner as Contact (AP). But Some says that this should be defined as Customer (KU). Can any one tell us what is the standard setting around SR partner and what is the use and How to create SR Partners and where to assign

SR is the one of the partner function and AP and KU are the partner types.If you go through this path you can get more Clarification.
SPRO -> Sales and Distribution> Basic functions > Partner Detemination> Click on Set up partner determination> Set up partner determination for customer> Select WESR Partner determinatin procedurem--> Click on Partener functions in procedure. You can find SR partner there.
If you want see the assignments you click on "Partner Determination Procedure Assignment"
If you want see the partener type (KU) assignment for SR click on "Partner Functions" goto position enter SR .

How to generate a MSDS report from status GP (Generation possible) to RE

I'm struggling with the Generation of the MSDS. I have done the following procedure and settings:
a) Create MSDS report (CG42)
b) Edit Generation Variant (CG2B)
Settings:
(I have assigned my template to the Generation Variant)
Generate manual request automatically: marked
Change Marks: 0
Initial release status: RE (released)
Version requirement: unmarked
Set historical automatically: unmarked
c) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report from Template (to test the design - display is correct and all phrases can be found)
d) EHS > Specification Workbench > Create new report
(report has been created succesfully and appears in Report Management).
e) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report Management:
MSDS_29 Material Safety Data Sheet for China World
Chinese Not Relevant Generation Poss. => generation possible.
Feedback affter clicking on Accept: You tried to carry out action 'Accept' on a report with status GP. However, this action is not allowed for reports with this status.
Feedback after clicking on Generate: You tried to carry out action 'Generate' on a report with status GP. However, this action is not allowed for reports with this status.
d) SE38 I have no jobs scheduled yet, so I run the following two programs to start the worklist manually, RC1AVGE1 and RC1AVGE2.
RC1AVGE1 - gave allot of feedback information regarding to changes and so on (first time I run it).
RC1AVGE2 - feedback: EHS: 'Worklist Generation for Reports - Selection for Check. - 0 reports to be checked were found'
From my understanding program RC1AVGE2 - should generate the MSDS.

I checked if I had any jobs running in the background or has been finished, but it seems like it goes wrong here, the system does not generate a job for the generation of the MSDS_29. To be able to get the status of MSDS_29 to RE (Released).
Does anybody has an idea what I do wrong, or which settings might be incorrect? Futhermore, what are the further steps to issue the report in the SD module - report shipping?

Automatic inter org transfer - sales ordering

Hello
we have the following issue : (we do not have MRP, ASCP)
we have one operating unit , with 3 inventory organizations
our items are being flagged as ATO
so for a normal customer item, so a normal customer order , standard bill and ship ; if we put in an order (make or buy) this will trigger the creation of a requisition or a work order; so thhis is working ok ...
now, sometimes,
if inventory org A cannot make it , they will source it from inventory org B -
example ; on my order I put in as inventory org A, but if there is no stock , then it would need to be sourced from inventory org B (B is not setup as a supplier),
My question is , can we automatically have an internal requisition and internal sales order triggered, or would this only be done if we would have MRP? or if we wld create manually an IR - ISO...
A, B, C are also physcically seperated from each other, so the goods move between the orgs with all the relevant shiipping papers...

In absence of MRP/ASCP, you will have to create the IR manually.
Once approved, that IR will get converted into a booked ISO automatically.

Please see (Patch 6678700 Worker Fails On Applying MSDODPCODE.sql With ORA-33292 Insufficient Permissions To Access Analytic Workspace APPS.ODPCODE; ORA-33262: Analytic workspace ODPCODE does not exist. [ID 1054417.1]).
You should not skip the worker unless you are instructed to do so by Oracle Support. Please run "sqlplus -s APPS/***** @<Path to $MSD_TOP>/patch/115/sql/MSDODPCODE.sql" manually after fixing the issue as per the doc and check then.

Publish MSDS file on line via SAP DMS

Dear experts,
Is anyone have any knowledge on publishing/make available on the web MSDS files which are stored in SAP DMS?
In case that it's not possible to have this link between internet and SAP DMS, I would like to know how can I send my document from SAP DMS to a load tool in a pdf and xml format.

this is the "wrong" way to do it. In DMS you have only the raw report and not the final report (in > 90% of the cases). The normal EH&S process which can be used are the following:
a.) make an EXP_CALL using a job to create a final report (e.g. either as Word or as pdf) togetehr with "meta" data (like material number, langauage etc,.) so that you can search for the document in you Web interface (the normal approach used fequently)
b.) in the past there has been a add on tpo EH&S which should be still available: take a look here

I have no idea if this add on is still suported or if it has been improved.
From the "technical " point. The MSDS is handle in some EH&S tabel (ESTDH) this give a linkt to a document in DMS using the unique document number.
Only if you have set up your report shipment in such a way that the final report is stored in DMS you are able to use that report in a Web interface. The raw report uses normaly the document type "SBR" and the final report "SBE". You need to check customizing. Normally the SBE finale report is deleted automatically somehting like 10 days after it has been used.

PS: I assume we are talking about normal WWI report. If you have document of type "IBD" you could clearly make them available on the fly in an Web interface because no data can be added to such a document (pdf is used normally as document type/format)

1. Use Condition Technique
2. Create Condition Records
You need to maintain ouput condition records from below T-Codes
T.Code: VV11 - Sales Documents for Sales orders (Output type = BA00)
T.Code: VV21 - Shiiping Activities for Deliveries (Output type = LD00)
T.Code: VV31 - Billing Dcouments..for Billing   (Output type = RD00)
T.Code: VV71 - Shipment              for Transportation
T.Code: VV61 - Handling Units       for Packaging
T.Code: NACE (Group)
Just maintain them and you will get the output type automatically.

By standard SAp this is not possible coz Shipping point ddetermination is Shipping conditions /Loading grp / Plant.
When you change the item catg, none of the above parameters change. So shipping point willnot change.
But from customizing point of view, you can define a enw Z table, maintain the fields like item catg, shipping point etc.
In the table yu can enter the item catg - shipping point combination. In the prog MV45AFZZ, you can write a ABAP code sothat when the user changes the item catg in VA02, system should call the Z table & change the shipping point accordingly.
Pls note that this will only change the shipping point when the item catg is changed. Shiiping point that is proposed during sales order initial entry will always be standard determination.
If you also by-pass standard shipping point determination, then you need to write the ABAP code in MV45AFZZ to always refer the shipping point from Z table whatever may be the item catg.
But why do you want to relate all standard parameters with item catg?

Generate MSDS document from another system

Dear All,
We have one EHS system (HQ) with all the report templates & variants for MSDS document in place.
Now we're going to implement roll out EHS in another server (country).
The MSDS report must be control and same with the one in the HQ.
But we don't want to manually maintain the report template & variant in the country server but read it from the HQ system instead.
Is it possible to do this?
Or any better idea to achieve this?

assuming you would like to use system B to use "report shipping" functionalities you need to consider these topics:
1:) first you must distribute your substance (REAL_SUB) using SUBMAS (ALE)
2.) second you must distribute PHRASMAS (ALE) (you need phrases to prepare accompanying leter)
3.) You must distribute the materials from REAL_SUB to B
4.) you must distribute the Business partner information from A to B
5.) You must link WWI servers on system B
6.) You must make available corresponding GENVARs manually ! (if you do not change the number of GENVARs this need ot be done only once) and you must prepare report symbols (chapter 1 !)
7.) You must prepare the "accompanying" letter in system B
PLease refer to SAP EHS documentation (how to perform ALE transfer)
As explained: it is very important and critical that the EHS customizing of A and B must be the same and you need a DMS/DVS or Archive in system, B as well !
Furthermore you must prepare the whole EHS customizing to do the report shipping topic; schedule jobs (report shipping) , assign printers etc. etc. prepare access concepts (so that e.g. cg50/cg54 can be used)
If you have performed the necessary set up in most cases keep this in mind: you must actively mark a substance (REAL_SUB) as ALE relevant. There is to my knowledge no automatism. Therefore if new REAL_SUBs are generated with materials having MSDS which need to be distributed from system A to B then you must perform this activity manually.
In any case: the set up described above is possible and stable. You can use the ALE( there are some Exits there) to make sure that only MSDS which are valid in e.g. FR must be distributed and not all MSDS etc.

In Output Determination -> Check Access Sequence and Condition Tables
1. Check the access sequence
Check the following default entry:
Access sequence: 0011
Description: SORG/CUSTNO SORG/OTYPE
(sales organization/customer number) (sales organization/delivery type)
2. Check output condition tables
Check the entries for sales organization/customer number (SORG/CUSTNO) and sales organization/delivery type (SORG/OTYPE) as follows:
a) Check output condition table for sales documents
Call the IMG activity Maintain Condition Tables, choose Maintain output condition table for sales activities, and check the following entry:

Using the Processing routines step, you edit the program call with which the SD data is transferred to the SAP component Product Safety. In the standard system, the processing program RC1SDDIS is used. In this program, the ENTRY routine is called without using a form.
Using the Partner functions step, you enter possible partner functions. One of these partner functions can be entered in the condition table and is then part of the output.
Functions other than SH should only be used in exceptional cases for specific reasons.

In Output Determination -> Check Output Determination Procedures
1. Check the following default entry:
Procedure V20001
Description Item Output
2. Check the detail entry for Control:
The condition type MSDS is assigned the requirement 24. According to this requirement, the system then checks if the environmentally relevant indicator is set for the delivery material. If it is, then output determination can proceed.
In Output Determination -> Assign Output Determination Procedures
Assign all delivery item categories used for delivery items with environmentally-relevant materials an output determination procedure that contains the output type SDB. In the standard system, this is the output determination procedure V20001.

EHS MSDS Report status : Generation failed

Hi all,
I have created a report (in CG02) and when I try to release I found the status is Generation failed. Unless the status is Gen. Successful, I cannot release the report.
I found no errors in report template and creation of Gen. variant.
Is it the problem with WWI server? or problem with IMG settings? I find Gen server is up and running. Issue is under high priority.
Can someone help me?

I think I have a simliar issue. I have done the following procedure and settings:
a) Create MSDS report (CG42)
b) Edit Generation Variant (CG2B)
Settings:
(I have assigned my template to the Generation Variant)
Generate manual request automatically: marked
Change Marks: 0
Initial release status: RE (released)
Version requirement: unmarked
Set historical automatically: unmarked
c) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report from Template (to test the design - display is correct and all phrases can be found)
d) EHS > Specification Workbench > Create new report
(report has been created succesfully and appears in Report Management).
e) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report Management:
MSDS_29    Material Safety Data Sheet for China     World
Chinese          Not Relevant    Generation Poss. => generation possible.
Feedback affter clicking on Accept: You tried to carry out action 'Accept' on a report with status GP. However, this action is not allowed for reports with this status.
Feedback after clicking on Generate: You tried to carry out action 'Generate' on a report with status GP. However, this action is not allowed for reports with this status.
d) SE38 I have no jobs scheduled yet, so I run the following two programs to start the worklist manually, RC1AVGE1 and RC1AVGE2.
RC1AVGE1 - gave allot of feedback information regarding to changes and so on (first time I run it).
RC1AVGE2 - feedback: EHS: 'Worklist Generation for Reports - Selection for Check. - 0 reports to be checked were found'
From my understanding program RC1AVGE2 - should generate the MSDS.

I checked if I had any jobs running in the background or has been finished, but it seems like it goes wrong here, the system does not generate a job for the generation of the MSDS_29. To be able to get the status of MSDS_29 to RE (Released).
Does anybody has an idea what I do wrong, or which settings might be incorrect?

Hello, I'm a Portuguese Developer, and i've a challenge, that is, i want to open REPORT by FORMS in RDF format and i want to open and print automatic way, i do not want to open, and then have to go print button to pint them.
I want to open by FORM way and print automatic and close imediatly.

Ofcourse you can do this by specifing system parameters like DESTYPE=Printer and DESNAME=PrinterName
Replace PrinterName with you printer name

Automatic PO creation of free text PR

Hi!
We have all our PRs in free text since we are not yet using material master. One of our purchase organization will only order from one vendor and they will enter that vendor and price in the PR. Is it possible to create a PO automatically from that PR without a material or source list?

If I understand you right:
1) Create PR with item category D Service
2) Activate automatic PO creation in ML91
That will create POs for all PRs created as a service?

AiO Remote iOS - Google drive convert file automatically

Hello Expert!
when i scan and upload on my google drive, google drive automatically convert the file in google docs format.
i already disabled the automatic convert in goole drive settings but same issue.
only aio remote - last version on app store installed - has this problem.
Any suggestion?

I tried to duplicate the issue you're seeing and I can't. Here's what I did... used the AiO Remote app, took a pic of a handwritten note, saved as a PDF, and then shared to my Google Drive. The file type is still a PDF.
What type of files are you working with? Does the extension change happen on everything you send to Google Drive?
