Automatic PGI is failing

Hi Guys
I have configured copy WM quantity as 2 for movement type 641 at
Define Shipping Control at the Movement Type Level under shipping control of WM config
But no Automatic PGI happening after confirmation of TO
Kindly suggest

I hope you are taking your IM Movement type (641), Please check your WM Movement type against IM Movement type 641 in OMLR. In standard it is 601. Enter 2 for that Movement type in "Define Shipping Control at the Movement Type Level "

Automatic Active Sync failed to Start at appropriate time

Hellos,
Its holiday season here. We had a FF Active Sync process that failed to start up.
Ops noted an overheating CPU at 2am. Server was brought down.. App server stopped, Database stopped. Fan fixed and Server rebooted.. Database started Ok, App server started Ok.. according to AS Log idM started up ok... but the 'automatic' Active Sync process refused to start.
What could prevent it?!
I have seen various people's opinions.. e.g.

There can be lot of reasons , for not starting activesync.
if you are using activesync between SIM and database ,
then lets start from activesync wizard ,
1)check the i/p activesync form(version should be correct)
2)check the startup type
3) if you are using query based activesync
check the first and last predicate fields and you need to ensure that the logic you have used in i/p activesync form will generate some processing once you start active sync otherwise you will not see active sync in executing state.
you can check weather activesync has performed operation or not in IAPI in the debug page under configurator
if your CPU utilisation on server is very high activesync will not start
these are general things
if you can give some more specific details abt your application and problem i can help you out.

This process had been left unstarted for some time. Noone checked.. why should they.. its automatic (obviously IdM isnt an R.E.M. fan)
Surely an automatic start type should (re)start after a reboot for hardware reasons!
Is the only thing we can we put in a Solaris shell script to test that these ****ing active sync process have been started and are running after a reboot/restart of App.server is a date test of the log file? i.e. if log file has not been touched in x days raise an alarm... seems something that is better built into IdM than a script.
How has this problem been faced and met by others out there? I am sure we are not the only people who have had to shutdown and restart IdM.

Indeed it does. The problem is that a log is just that.. a log of what has happened. In our case the 'automatic' AS process failed to start automatically.
We are forced to use the log and reverse apriori reasoning to detect whether the AS process actually started.
I hope you agree this situation isnt really satisfactory, is it?

Automatic PGI for Cash Sales

Dear Friends,
Please guide me for the configuration in Copy Control so that Automatic PGI is done at the time of creating Sales Order for cash Sales.
At present PGI is being done manually.
Also please guide me to configure the Output type RD03 so that the invoice is printed automatically. In our system RD03 is not there.

hi,
not sure of the requirement but in cash sales we mainly look at the spot sales and at the end of the day we consolidate all the deliveries in the sense that we take up the PGI due deliveries and run a background job. This does the PGI and we run another job to create invoices.
as such there is no setting to do automatic PGI for cash sales.

Currently we are settting VBUK-WBSTK field with value C. But PGI is not happening.

yes we know that "This process of picking and GI involves reducing the stock and allocating the goods to the delivery"
if you go for Custom program and Use FM WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE, we can do Picking and PGI.
our requirement is to do pickong and PGI while creating Delivery it self, based on this output types will be processed.

I think the programs needed to enable automatic PGI, invoice are already given by people.
For automatic PGI you can use the program.
For automatic billing you can also use the billing due list t.code VF04
You ony need to create variants for these programs or tcodes and then schedule a background job as per your schedule in SM36
If you want to know how to schedule a background job, please let me know.

DO document flow after TO automatic PGI

Hello Professionals,
I was trying to create a billing doc using auto generated DO from a SO.
I created the SO and automatically the DO was created . Next I create the TO with automatic PGI.
That was done as WMS TO status was completed shown in the document flow for DO.
In the doc flow I could not see the PGI status.
I clicked PGI button at the initial screen of the Change DO transaction.
Error message says : "Goods issue has already been posted for delivery"
I would like to clarify is it normal not to see PGI status in the doc flow?

hi,
i think so you cannot see the PGI status in document flow.
you can only see the another two documents
1. confirmation of service document
2. TO document (optional) if WMS is there in picture.
3. other wise in delivery document - PGI - push button will be greyed.

Automatic modem installation failed error

Hi I am pairing my BB 8900 with a laptop running 32 Bit Vista. At the end of the pairing process I get the following error message on my laptop.
"Automatic modem installation failed. Please set up again" I reset the pairing but still get the same error. Any thoughts?

2575 - Automatic paper sensor failed - when using memory card only?

My parents are on their second HP2575, the second being a replacement.
In each case after 9 months the printer will not allow you to print photos from a memory card, they get the message "automatic paper sensor failed".
You can print from the PC and scan its just from the memory card it doesn't work, can this be fixed?

It seems to me that you have not created a proper sysidcfg file. From your post, it looks to me like your sysidcfg contains no entries. This is why it prompts you to enter the kernel path. Look on docs.sun.com for a guide to creating the sysidcfg file .

Pls follow below mentioned process to do the automatic PGI in shipment process:-
IMG--->Logistics Execution > Transportation >Shipments >Define and Assign Activity Profiles
there select the activity profile variant given for your shipment type and click Maintain tab given on the top right side.
There you will find a tab "Post Goods issue for deliveries of shipment" inthat select the first option as "carry out goods issue posting during save".

DAC to automatically restart a failed job

Is there a way to automatically configure DAC to automatically restart a failed job, instead of manually restart the job in a windows environment.

Are you looking to restart automatically anytime the DAC task fails?? I would assume you want to resolve what is causing the task to fail before you restart, correct? You can script the DAC to start a EP (as the other user suggested), but restarting a task automatically without fixing what is cauing it will result in continuois failures (unless you change the Session/WF properties to not Fail parent when session fails..which is not recommended). The other option is to mark it complete which, again, is probably not recommended. I am not sure what advatage there is of automating/scripting a restart without knowing how and when the issue will be fixed.

It is really annoying as sometimes the phone doesn't respond to attempts to end the call before it connects to the number. I then have to explain that it was my phone and not me, I look like an idiot, which I don't really need any extra help with!! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to stop missed call from showing in the locked screen but it might be associated with the failed calls and therefore be the only resolution

I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.

Automatic PGI and delivery for Inter company STO

We have a requirement as below,
Client have 3rd party software at weighbridge,which would track vehicle no,material qty,ship to party.
Here at Inter company STO,
PO will be raised,latter on we do VL10D,there by a delivery number is generated based on PO number.Then based on that PGI & delivery will be done.
Can we do auto PGI & delivery in this case.Client requirement is both VL10D,VL02n should happen automatically.
Assuming the number range for delivery in SAP and third party software are set same.Kindly advise me

For example i have only 400 windows agents and i have 2 MS in my environment. So 200 windows agents are managed by MS1 and the rest 200 are managed by the MS2.
What i want to know is if either of the MS (MS1 or MS2) Shutdown / restart or any thing happens to them, Do the agents automatically fail over to the other MS ? As i have not configured ant thing for this as i don't know.
So is there any configuration to be done for the above to happen after the deployment of both the management servers is done before discovering the agents or does it automatically understand take the rest 200 agents thinking that the other MS is down ?

This happens automagically for Windows agents within a domain that are assigned to a Management Server. For other scenarios, such as Gateways, the Gateways should be configured for failover between Management Servers, and the agents attached to those
Gateways should be configured to failover between the Gateways. Cross platform agents report to a resource pool, so that happens automagically as well.
To confirm your scenario, simply run the Get-SCOMAgent cmdlet.
To test you can do the following, assuming first agent in the array isn't a Management Server/Gateway :)
$SCOMAgents = get-scomagent
$SCOMAgents[0].PrimaryManagementServerName
$SCOMAgents[0].GetFailoverManagementServers()

Order type KE consignment issue order, as you know in when u create delivery it is not relivent for picking. The requirement is "PGI" to be done automatically as you save the delivery. Help me plaease with some settings
