Automatic Picking of Business Area in MIRO

Hello SAP Gurus,
I have the following problem while making MIRO after MIGO.
While I am doing MIRO after I entered the all relavant data the system is asking Business Area field in Details Button becz it is mandatory field on Vendor Reconciliation G a/c.But my client is asking instead entering every time business area while making MIRO they want to pick this automatically,
How can I do this ? Is there is any special customization I have top make for this.
Plz suggest becz it is very urgent and I will give you full credit for this.

OB65 Enable Business Area Balance Sheet
OBXM Define Accounts for Subsequent Adjustment
In the transaction OBXM you fill in the g/l account (creditor / debitor) and the ofset account. The postings are only on the ofset account!
When you are using PCA these account should not be set up in 3KEH Choose Additional Balance Sheet and P&L Accounts !!

    Hi,
    In MIRO transaction, Headers - Detail Tab, there is Business Area field.
    Currently in our system the field displays blank value.
    We have the requirement to be able to identify each invoice belongs to which Business Area. However we don't want a manual entry of this field during MIRO transaction. We need the value to be defaulted from either vendor master or purchase order. However I have search for business area in both vendor master and purchase order but I couldn't found it.
    The questions we have are:
    1. Is there a way to automatically default the business area in MIRO?
    2. If it is possible, where to set the default value?
    Fyi, we are on R3 4.7

    Our system already had business area link to each plant.
    However I don't think the business area value is defaulted from plant as a plant can be link to multiple business areas. Based on a plant, how do system determined which business area to be pulled to MIRO?
    <i>the business ares a is linked to the plant (and not the way back), that means from a plant you have always a unique busines area. This is set up in transaction OMJ7, pls have a look</i>
    We don't turn on the business area balance sheet (OB65). Would you please kindly advise what will be the impact to turn this on?

    One last question the enhancement LMR1M001 to derived the business area, from what data will system derive the business area (from vendor master, Purchase order or from where?)

    <i>Would be good to know, what is your exact requirement, why you want to use business area in case of MIRO postings (and in case of other postings as well).</i>

    We are facing problem in MIRO transaction, while doing MIRO business area field is mandatory so we are not able to check our one substitution for Business area.
    Request you to help us to remove mandatory field "Business area" from MIRO transaction.

    Since the tick is appearing in this field, either the field status group (at posting level or GL level) should have been made mandatory.  Can you please check the relevant FSG for the reconciliation account involved for that vendor.
    Also since you want this field as optional only for testing purpose, i have a alternative suggestion.
    Say, If your substitution is suppose to replace this field with business area A, then enter business area B there and check whether the substituition is replacing this with A again.

  • How to Auto Populate Business Area in MIRO

    Hi Gurus,
    I am working on a issue of business area not being auto populated in MIRO transaction. Can anyone please help me out with how to make the business area populate in there.
    I have already checked that business area is set as a mandatoty field in this transaction and linked with Plant (OMJ1). Also the cost centers also have the business area defined at the master data level.

    Entries happen in background like tax you are not able to get the business area(if you are using new general ledger you can get just check once)
    for other entries line items like vendor you can give the business area in MIRO header.
    After you posted the document check the gl account balance respective business area wise in FAGLB03.

  • How to relate cost centre with Business area in MIRO

    while doing posting in MIRO, the cost centre picked against one of the entries in GL account line  is of another business area(of second plant). why its so? and how it happens.?how we can rectify it?
    in FS00, the default cost centre assigned is of first BA(business area) so when we do miro with PO of first BA then its alright, but when we do miro of second BA PO then the cost centre picked is of first BA. so how we cam similarize the cost centre with PO of respective business area?\
    so that when we do miro , the cost centre is picked automatically with related BA

    In that case you can remove the cost center from FS00 and make entries in OKB9, under account assignment select option - 2 - BA is mandatory.

    Hi ,
    We can change the filed in posted document throgh below way,
    For that go to OB32 and give a document change rule and save it for that field.
    Next you can change the document business ares after posting a document - use Tcode FB03 (select the document) and go to line item display. There click on the pencil icon (change line items) and then in the tool bar from Go To -> click document header. You will find document header or line tem .There business area is in edit mode.

  • Warning message should be raised when user changes Business Area in MIRO.

    Hello all,
    My requirement is,
    When in MIRO transaction, in details tab the BA (Business Area) comes from PO line items. When user changes this Business Area to some other value then the system should raise a warning message and continue with the transaction. It happens in MRHR transaction in 4.6. Now we are on ECC6.0 and user wants this functionality.
    So is there any configuration to be done or so I need to write User Exit?
    Please explain in details like where to make these config settings and all.

    Make use of  EXIT_SAPLMRMP_010 in Enchancement LMR1M001  User exits in Logistics Invoice Verification.
    Raise your warning message by validating GSBER present in structure in exit's FM : EXIT_SAPLMRMP_010

    You can make payments business area wise if you had ticked payment goup business area wise in the payment method in company code screen. However you will have to give company codes in the payment parametets, but payments will be grouped by business area.

  • Posting without Business Area

    Hi,
    I am trying to post one  entry with B/S GL a/c as below:
    Dr. 400001 - 1000 INR with Business Area 1000
    Cr. 400001 - 1000 INR without Business Area
    I.e., I am nullifying (the value) the Balances at the Business Area level, but system is taking the Business Area in the second line item also as below:
    Dr. 400001 - 1000 INR with Business Area 1000
    Cr. 400001 - 1000 INR with Business Area 1000 (the system automatically picking the Business Area from the first line item - which we dont want).
    Could any body help on this ASAP?

    The business area field will appear at the time of posting the transaction, because when you pick a GL account for posting the system will check in the field status group of the relevant GL account. Check in FS00  and find the field status then go to OBC4, there check in additional account assignment where you will fin business area as optional or required etc...
    You can make the filed as suppressed.

  • Wrong business area at the time of ML81n and Miro

    In service PO, i have taken cost center 3000, in KS02 for 3000, business area is 3000.when i have did the Sevice sheet Acceptence(ML81) business area (1000) is picking wrong for the  GR/IR g/l. when i did the miro, in business area field i have given 3000, but when i am doing Miro simulation, against the G/R g/L business area (1000).
    check the same scenario in development is coming properly and patched is also the same on ll the cleint.
    I have check business area assignment in enterprise structure, okb9,
    Kinldy suggest what are the area to check.

    Hi Shweta,
    I cannot get the details of FS00 as mentioned by you as I am not linked to your server now.
    The GR/IR Clearing account is a centralized clearing and reconciliation account which works like a bridge
    which is getting debited on procurement and reversed during MIRO and is not linked to any Business Area.
    It is a Balance Sheet account which reveals the nature of goods received by your Plant whatever may be
    the storage location.  If the inventory account is there, it will show for which business area you have
    purchased.  During MIRO the GR/IR account becomes nil and it is an automatic internal posting through OBYC
    assignment. The other accounts will be vendor account which may carry BA classifications.  Hope you are clear.

    check the GL accounts field status variant attached to the Invoice posting.
    also check in PO whether u have the BA field filled up. in case u r using BA accounting then that value shld be there..... as u said u dont want to put BA as field in miro , that means u r not using BA thing... so u can always maintain all the FSV of GL for BA as optional/supressed...

  • Business area not reflected in MIRO additional details

    There is problem regarding business area in MIRO, in follow on documents business area is not getting reflected for all the line items. Please see where the problem is, I have checked OMJ7 and business area is there for all Plant/Valuation area.

    While releasing a billing document we are getting the following error. Field Bus. Area is a required field for G/L account xxxx xxxxxx. The GL account involved is a Balance sheet account. Which settings needs to be checked to pick the Business area automatically... For this account Bus Area is a mandatory field.

  • MAKE BUSINESS AREA MANDATORY IN ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT TAB IN PURCHASE ORDER.

    What I've done is in dev server is made BUSINESS AREA mandatoy for"A" asset acc assign category, so that while creating a capital purchse order, one should mandatory give input at BUSINESS AREA field in purchase order.
    This all setting i've done in OME9.
    Till now everything is OK in PO creation except the fact that system is not asking for Business area, infact it is picking the same business area which is present in asset code.
    i.e. when i give asset code, it is automatically proposing the business area from asset code and instead i want the system to compulsory ask for business area.
    By this I can be sure that the asset code authenticity...

    go to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase order > defiene screen layout at document level
    and check for the field "Business Area". to do the field as mandatory, the field should be available here.
