  • Automatic time conversion is not possible

    Hi Friends,
    I have a problem in Transformation Level when i am mapping "automatic time conversion is not possible for source field FISCPER to 0FISCYEAR,FISCPER3".can any one help me in this issue.
    Thanks
    Narasimha

    Yes if it was date filed then it would have been possible.If you are trying to derive the fiscal year between datasource and cube then you can get it with the help of simple filed level routine.
    Map your fiscper field from source to fiscal year--Rule type Routine.
    RESULT = SOURCE_FIELDS-(Technical name of source field)+0(4).
    For Posting period
    Map your fiscper field from source to fiscper3 year--Rule type Routine.
    RESULT = SOURCE_FIELDS-(Technical name of source field)+4(3).
    This will give you the required output.

  • How to suppress automatic keyfigure conversion in WD ALV?

    Dear experts,
    I am having a problem with automatic input conversion in WD ALV.
    I have a key-figures (type P length 9, decimals 2)in my ALV which has reference field of type if_salv_wd_c_field_settings=>reffieldtype_curr.
    I process the changes by event ON_DATA_CHANGE which passes this change object:
    r_param->t_modified_cells
    r_param->t_inserted_rows
    r_param->t_deleted_rows
    r_param->t_error_cells
    The thing is that the changes in table r_param->t_modified_cells are already converted into internal format. When user enters "1", I get here in this table value "1.00". But this internal value is not always correct because corresponding reference field with currency key may not be known yet (it is calculated later on background from other fields).
    Therefore, for example for currency JPY which has no decimal places external value "1" is converted into wrong internal value "1.00" (the correct internal value is "0.01").
    Therefore, I need to suppress the conversion by the ALV and do it myself once the currency key is known.
    How can I suppress the automatic input conversion which is done by ALV?
    There is no such problem in SAP GUI ALV! There is event DATA_CHANGE with similar change object:
    io_data_change->mt_good_cells
    io_data_change->mt_mod_cells
    io_data_change->mt_inserted_rows
    io_data_change->mt_deleted_rows
    But all the changes in table io_data_change->mt_mod_cells are in an external format (exactly the way user entered them on the screen)!
    Any idea?
    Thank you in advance for your help.

    I have contacted the Web Dynpro ALV support directly to find out the answer.
    There is no solution!
    The WD ALV always convert the key figure into internal format. It is not possible to get the raw user input in WD as it is in SAP GUI.
    Therefore, I use a workaround in my application - I remeber the number of decimal places of the old currency key and if the new currency key has different number of decimal places, then I shift the decimal point to the right or left correspondingly.

  • Problem of automatic widening conversion

    Hello,
    base one link below:
    http://docstore.mik.ua/orelly/java-ent/jnut/ch02_04.htm
    Finally, the notation Y* means that the conversion is an automatic widening conversion, but that some of the least significant digits of the value may be lost by the conversion. This can happen when converting an int or long to a float or double. The floating-point types have a larger range than the integer types, so any int or long can be represented by a float or double. However, the floating-point types are approximations of numbers and cannot always hold as many significant digits as the integer types.
    int = 32 bits
    float = 32 bits
    why from int to float, will have problem? can show example or diagram of bits of problems?
    long = 64 bits
    double = 64 bits
    why from long to float, will have problem? can show example or diagram of bits of problems?
    Thanks.

    why from long to float, will have problem? can show example or diagram of bits of problems?Considering just positive double (ignoring 32-bit float).
    In a Java double (IEEE754 floating point)
    one bit is used for the sign,
    11 bits are used for the magnitude and
    52 bits are used for the mantissa (the digits)
    A Java double can store an int because an int only has 32 bits.
    A Java double can store a long that uses only 52 bits.
    When converting long values in the range [ 0x0010000000000000 ; 0x7FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF ]
    because 11 bits are used for the magnitude
    there are not enough bits in the mantissa to represent every long value.
    Exercise:
    Write a Java application that converts randomly selected long values
    in the range [ 0x0010000000000000L ; 0x7FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFL ] to double and
    then back to long - compute the divergence (if any) - print (in hexadecimal)
    the long value and the divergence.

  • Automate Video conversion..

    Hi
    im not sure if this is possible but i would like to use automator to convert avi files in to two mpeg-4 files one for apple tv and one for iphone. The iphone file needs to be less than 300mb. is there a way to do this? Thanks Steve

    Hi Steve
    Conversion is quite simple. Here are the actions you need:
    1. Get specified Finder items: Chooses the file(s) to be converted. There are similar actions which might also be useful, e.g. Get Selected Finder Items
    2. Export Movies: This action can be found in the Automator Library under Music. It will let you choose whether you want to create Apple TV or iPhone Format.
    This should answer your question. But after that I am stuck. I want to add this converted movie to my iTunes Library so it will automatically sync to my iPhone next time I plug it in. Using "Import Files into iTunes" only seems to work for Audio files. If someone knows a solution for that please reply to this post.

  • How do you automatically expand conversations in the viewing pane to see all messages in the thread

    I'm getting super annoyed since apple has started condensing the conversation in  mail in the view window.
    They have added the "See More from xxxxxxx" in the middle on the converations view pane.
    How can you have those always automatically expand?  It's a super pain, because every single
    conversation I have to look at what I last wrote.
    Is there are way to automate this????

    Thanks CT. That's not the place that I was looking at.
    Organize By conversation works on the mail listing but
    not in the content view window.  The spot you are actually
    viewing the content of the message.
    Thanks for the effort.

  • Automatic mass conversion of SNP planned orders to Process orders

    Hello,
    we currently convert our process orders from APO by following steps:
    1. In RRP4 - select convert SNP orders.
    2. Click Save.
    3. Set conversion indicator.
    4. Click Save.
    This is a very tedious tasks and we would like to automate this.
    Reading previous posts - I know this can somehow be achieved in transaction RRP7. However, I haven't been able to convert SNP orders (steps 1. and 2.) in RRP7 yet. Does mass conversion only apply in setting the conversion indicator?
    Best Regards,
    Sam

    Hello,
    thanks for your reply.
    We are currently processing orders in RRP4. We would like to automate this process  as much as possible that is why we are considering RRP7. However, I haven't found a way to automatically convert SNP planned orders to PP orders in APO.

  • Automatic UOM conversion

    Hi All,
    When i create a SO, i have to enter Gross Weight and Net Weight by hand, however i set up Units of Measure. My Sale unit is EA, Weight unit is KG and 1 EA = 10KG.
    So, how to do the Gross weight and Net weight is automatic?
    Thanks & best rgds!

    Hi Friend,
    I am sure that you must have filled weight in gross weight and net weight field and its not coming in the sales document so you are filling it there.
    <b>Please go to VOV7, and make a tick mark on the weight and volume releventy</b>. This way your issue will be resolved.
    If your problem is caused by lacking conversion rule of unit of measurement then go to additional data of the specific material change view and define it ther.
    If not solved please come back.

  • Settings for Automatic PO conversion

    Dear Gurus...,
    We are using Mfg Plant and Depo.
    Now we are doing generally the stock transfer of item from one plant to another plant manually.
    (Creation of PR and PO)
    I want to create automatic  PO  through MRP Run in recieving plant (DEPO) for the requirements
    Here my vendor is constant  ( I want to use this for only Stock Transport  POS)
    I will make  special procurement as   40  in MRP -2  view.(Material Master)
    and second thing is i wil activate in materila master ---> Purchasing View ---> Automatic PO .
    These two setting wil be done in material master of Recieving plant.
    Other than this what is settings needs to be done for raising Purchase order( Automatic PO)
    Can anybody is guide me
    Rgds
    Surya

    Hi,
    For automatic PO creation below points.
    1) Material Master purchasing view tick automatic PO check box
    2) Vendor Master purchasing view tick automatic PO check box.
    3) Maintain Source list for Vendor & Material.
    4) Maintain Purchase Info Record.
    5) Create a Purchase Requisition.
    6) Use T.Code: ME59N & execute for PR for vendor, you will be able to create automatic PO.
    Note:
    Ensure that Purchase Info Record should be there.
    If you have more than one vendor then fixes only one vendor in source list.
    During PR Creation ME51 ,select the Select check box of source determination .

  • Are there any tools that automate the conversion of SSJS to JSP?

    What about a "wrapper" servlet to run the SSJS, do they exist? We are upgrading to Iplanted Web Server 6.0 and are looking for alternatives to a re-write

    Rhino is an implementation of JS written in Java. I have only a limited amount of knowledge about it, but my understanding is that it might be helpful both in terms of a migration path (allowing you to execute JS from within Java) and in terms of code conversion (converting JS to Java).

    Let me know if it is helpful.

  • 2011: still no automatic flac conversion

    I wonder, it's still not possible to drag and drop (or import in any other way) flac files into iTunes?
    I dont talk about playing flac files in iTunes or on iDevices but just importing them with conversion to any Apple format.
    Strange, as this is simply possible with Microsoft wma format, just drag it into iTunes and all files will be converted to any chosen Apple format keeping all song information.
    On one hand Apple says they don't want to feature proprietary formats (as with Adobe Flash) on the other hand they are featuring wma format and are not interested at all to support a great free format as flac the same way.
    Tiny companies not sitting on Billions of Dollars like e.g. MediaMonkey can do that very well to convert any file format into Apple format even just on the fly when synchronizing with iDevices. But this doesn't help as all songs are deleted from the devices as soon as they are synced with iTunes again.

    Thank you again for your quick response!
    There has never been a better support than from Apple or from the Apple community.
    I have considered to use Apple Lossless (ALAC) several times in the past but discarded it always for several reasons:
    It’s a completely proprietary format, back then there was no way to convert it back to uncompressed files and there have been several compatibility issues and troubles with tags. Now although it is supposed that ALAC supports high resolution files up to 384kHz/24 Bits i guess conversion needs also 3rd party software with compatibility issues and troubles with tags as well troubles to convert it back to uncompressed format.
    For now I believe flac is the coming format for the future.
    I don’t know how it is with Mac’s but with a PC every audio is routed through the Windows kernel mixer. The kernel mixer is working with 48kHz/16Bit only, this means that any audio file, compressed or not is sampled to 48kHz/16Bit, passing the volume, balance and tone filter and then sampled back to his origin value. For any compressed or uncompressed CD rip this means 44,1kHz>48kHz>filter>44,1kHz. Although Win7 does this better than XP in concerns of jitter it is still a big quality reduction especially when listening with a better HiFi system. Whereas Microsoft’s DirectSound is commonly used as a lossy intermediary signal path for non-professional users, ASIO allows to access audio hardware directly.
    In other words, what you get from the digital out of your PC is already lossy even if you play back uncompressed or lossless audio!
    As well it needs ASIO to play back audio with a higher resolution than 48kHz/16Bit.
    What a shame, reading your info about converting on the fly, I have missed that with using iTunes since version 4.6 i guess (with the 2nd  generation iPod)  As well I was dumb enough to not rtfm:) I have missed the next checkbox too, which allows to organize music on iDevices manually. Now I can manage all my portable devices directly from MediaMonkey, no need to have any audio files in iTunes. (though I have to search for a prog to replace iTunes managing videos, as this is unfortunately switched off too..)
    Listen perfect quality at my HiFi set, getting 128kb/s files on my iPhone for listening in the subway, 256kb/s files on my iPad for use with the djay app at parties, same bitrate to manage my Creative Zen which I use in my car and get lossless files onto my Cowon which I use with my Grado headphone when it gets serious on the way...
    I concentrate on beeing happy, and now i am:
    Happy:)
    Thanks a lot!!!

  • Automatic type conversion

    Hi everyone,
    I am a newbie at flex and I was trying to write a small
    program which calls a .NET web service which returns the
    information in a xml format and the XML is returned to the Flex
    method. everything works fine but sometimes when the Data contains
    something like 122345E104, Flex converts this data into a numerical
    value automatically, because of the "E" it thinks it is an
    Exponential symbol. How can I prevent this from happenning.
    Eg if the data returned from the web service is as following
    <securityMasterByCusipResponse xmlns="
    http://abc.com/RSSXSD/">
    <securityMasterByCusip>
    <masterList>
    <cusip>26144E101</cusip>
    <price>0.068</price>
    <symbol>DRGG</symbol>
    <securityName>DRAGON INTL GROUP</securityName>
    </masterList>
    </securityMasterByCusip>
    </securityMasterByCusipResponse>
    I have a method like this to read the data which is called as
    a callback to the aysnchronous web service call
    public function result(data:Object):void
    var contentObject:Object =
    data.result.securityMasterByCusipResponse.securityMasterByCusip.masterList;
    cusipText.Text = Object.cusip; // this returns
    2.61440000000000e+105 instead of 26144E101
    Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Vikram

    Hi vikramswami,
    Try to use the single quotes around that field...you can try this work around...
    Check the below xml...the tag in bold...I have used single quotes around the value...so that it will be treated as a string instead of a numeric...
    <securityMasterByCusipResponse xmlns=" http://abc.com/RSSXSD/">
    <securityMasterByCusip>
    <masterList>
    <cusip>'26144E101'</cusip>
    <price>0.068</price>
    <symbol>DRGG</symbol>
    <securityName>DRAGON INTL GROUP</securityName>
    </masterList>
    </securityMasterByCusip>
    </securityMasterByCusipResponse>
    So you need to strip the quotes while displaying the value in the Flex label or Text ...since we have appended these quotes in xml...
    var contentObject:Object = data.result.securityMasterByCusipResponse.securityMasterByCusip.master List;
    model.cusip = Object.cusip; //This Model is used by the User
    model.cusip = model.cusip.substring(1,model.cusip.length-2);
    Note: model.cusip variable should be a String datatyped variable...
    Hope this helps in resolving your problem.,..

  • Automatic Date Conversion

    Does anyone know of any way to allow an input String representing a date to be converted to a Date object without knowing the format of the date ahead of time? How would any of you handle the case where you want to let users input any date format that Java recognizes (Dec 1, 2001; 12/01/2001; 01-Dec-2001;etc) and automatically convert this to an actual Date object?

    I would use StringTokenizer to pick the single values out of the String, defining the accepted delimiters.
    Each value (token) must be interpreted then. I join the suggestion of generating a collection containing all possible interpretations.
    Finally you have to put the single values together: which interpretations of a single value can be excluded in compare to the other values, which combinations of a complete date stay possible.
    This list must be offered to the user: he has to decide.
    I doubt if it's worth. If you don't mind the work, probably your users will complain, if they are surprised by your list: Why didn't he tell me that how I should put in the date?
