AUTOMATIC PO DURING GR

Hi,
I have done the customization for automatic PO during GR.
The system is creating a purchase order with the Info record price.
Now my question is: Since the cost of the item is totally fluctuating is it technically possible to enter the cost during GR ?
So that the system creates the PO with the cost entered during GR.
I think this is not possible with standard. But would like to have experts opinion.

Hi Shakthi,
Ideally GR is done with material master price....means with the internal valuation exclusive for a plant.
So I dont think the PO conditions will get generated with GR price....

Similar issue Andrew. After installing 8.0, the IOS deleted 225 songs from one of my playlists, and I'm still "recalling" songs that are no longer in my Music Library. Fortunately, although the playlist of 235 had only 6 songs left on it ( on my Mac), the Playlist was not erased from my I -Phone. I was able to recreate the Playlist on my Mac, using the intact playlist on my phone. When I synched however, I was back to square one. I went to the Apple store, and I had to reset the phone . We also downloaded IOS 8.02. They saved my playlist in the Cloud, deleted it from my Mac, then synched it. Lo and behold, the playlist I recreated on my Mac, synched to my I Phone. After the reset, I had like 11GB of free space. (Its been 5 days since the "reset" and the number of GBs fluctuates from day to day !!)
When I got home from the Apple store I spent after hours reinstalling all the apps, synchng the phone to the Bluetooth in my car ( you know the rest of the saga) , I purchased a song from I Tunes. I "drag and dropped" it into a Playlist, and synched. Didn't work. Song shows in "Recently Added", but the drag and drop feature doesn't work. Bottom line, I'm not willing to "reset" my phone every time I add a song ! I've tried any number of fixes posted to this support community, but none have worked for me.
Furthermore, it took me 3 hours to get the phone re-synched to the Bluetooth system in my car. However every time I connect to "Bluetooth Audio", the system needs to "find" and "reconnect to" my phone. If you ( or anyone else ) finds something that might work for both the music synch and /or the Bluetooth, I'd appreciate your input.

If you open the /Applications/Utilities/Java Preferences.app then the available Java Virtual Machines will be listed. I have a newer mac with 10.6.8 that has latest Java 6 version installed on it and an older macbook pro with the lastest Java 6 Virtual Machine version and the previous Java 6 Virtual Machine version .

A UPS model that works with Mac Native software to do a graceful shutdown and automatic restart during a power failure.

I've tried 3 UPS's (2 APC and one TripLite) that state they are OSX compatible, however, they do not fully respond to the native osx setting in (system Preferences/ Energy Saver/ UPS/Start up automatically after a power failure). This is what happens:
During a power outage, the OS does a graceful shutdown, but does not reboot when power is restored.
Apparently, the UPS is not notified to turn off during the shut down process. The power (on-Off-On) cycle is required by the mac to restart.
Trip lite tech support says they have software that works with Windows and linux to do this, but not mac.
I've tried two older APC UPS's, One Smart UPS1500 and a Back-UPS 1500 with the same result on two different servers and one iMac.
At this point I'm looking for a make and model of a UPS that does work. If anyone can verify a make and model that actually does this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Its a simple test, just pull the plug on your UPS, wait for the system to shut down, and then plug the UPS back in. The system should reboot.

Excise Invoice automatically created during STO Billing

Hi all,
During creating of billing documents in VF01 for STO invoice, the excise invoice is also created simultaneously without manual creation. Normally excise invoice are created seperately by
giving the billing document reference no.through J1IIN. Suddenly, the excise invoice has also
been created in VF01 itself. Can anybody explain what may be the reason and how to restore
to manual transaction process of creating excise invoice.

Check the Excise Group settings which you are using for your STO transaction .

Here for your Excise group check whether You have selected Excise inv during billing for Outgoing excise invoice.
If there then system will create automatically Excise invoice during Billing document creation,

How can I best prevent from automatically refocusing during movie mode recording?

I believe my camera is automatically refocusing using the AF, and it's causing intermittent blurring within the playback.
The lens that I am using with the Canon EOS 70D is the EF-S 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM
When I playback the recording, I can physically see the actual camera adjusting focus automatically, and it causes a major distraction since spur of the moment blurring is involved and in each case, it's about 1 second long. I'm unsure what to do. It seems like it occurs during low-light conditions more (especially if the low-light is in the background).
Should I try increasing the IOS? I understand it goes up to 6400 for movie mode.
I shoot using a Manfrotto 504HD,546BK Video Tripod Kit with 504HD Head and 546 Tripod - Black. Some of the subjects are moving (camera is panning either while I am reporting or not moving as a stand-up reporter from a fixed location). I shoot both inside and outside.
I've tried using a Manual Focus before but I suffer the consequences when shooting outside as I don't get the best focus when trying to manually adjust the focus. Perhaps I should switch between MF, then AF and back to MF again to have the best possible picture, as switching it back to MF again would carry over exactly from the AF I would imagine without any needed adjustments if I'm already ready to shoot the target I setup for. I work in both high, medium and low light and the problem persists.
Please...any help would be greatly appreciated.

I should preface with stating that I don't shoot video, and as such my knowledge of the details on dSLRs when in video mode is limited. I'm making a lot of assumptions based off my use of them as still cameras.
When shooting stills, and not in live view mode, cameras have several autofocus points, some of which are more precise and have better low light capabilities than others. The center point is usually the best and many cameras have a center point that benefits from using a lens of 2.8 or faster. These points can lock focus in less light than a point rated at say 5.6. So your camera wouldn't be able to take full advantage of the 2.8 center point with the STM lens. That said, if the camera simply can't decide which subject to use as a focus point and is flipping back and forth then having a faster center point doesn't make a difference. Nor does it if you're using the outer points. Of course, I think this whole conversation is moot since I believe the camera is essentially in live view mode when shooting video which means it's using a completely different AF system (contrast detection). I just thought I'd mention it as a point of conversation. You can always try the 24-70 and see how it performs, but to your point, the STM lenses are designed for video.
Adjusting the ISO won't affect AF performance. So continue using the lowest ISO that you can get away with.
If I was in a situation where the camera was bouncing around AF and I didn't have external lighting, I would probably try to get the camera to set focus on my subject and then switch to manual. Short of that, I don't think there's much you can do.

Form6i Automatically Close During Downloading Image

We have built a form 6i version 6.0.18.3 application to download the image files from database 9i version 9.0.1.3. The image is as BFILE data type in the table. When we use the form application to download the file, the form application will be automatically closed suddenly during downloading.
We use "write_image_file('c:\temp\output.jpg','JFIF','u_image.image');
to download the file in the form.
Please advise how to fix this problem, thanks.

There is requirement of automatic accounting entry at the time of creation of Inbound delivery (VL31N) as below-
Goods-in-transit - Dr
Inward Shipment Clearing - Cr
At present accounts department is posting this entry manually after creation of inbound delivery. Its contra accounting entry is being posted automatically at the time of GR as below-
Inward Shipment Clearing - Dr
Goods-in-transit - Cr
Please suggest how the highlighted entry can be configured for automatic posting at the time of VL31N document posting and same should be reversed if Inbound delivery is deleted.

No, its not a subcon scenario. The requirement is as under.
In case of Import procurement, when we receive the intimation of material shipment from overseas vendor, finance department is posting a finance JV (to the value of material in transit) as below:
Goods-in-transit - Dr
Inward Shipment clearing - Cr (this is actually a virtual liability)
So, the requirement instead of posting a manual JV, system should automatically post the above entry in background if an Inbound delivery (VL31N) is created for the quantity shipped by the supplier.
Its contra entry (reverse entry) is automatically being posted during GR against inbound delivery (based on the pricing procedure) as under:
Inward Shipment Clearing - Dr
Goods-in-transit - Cr

How do I protect a Time Machine back up from being automatically deleted during new backups?

Hi, any help would be appreciated.
I used an external hard drive Time Machine backup to restore my music and photos after losing nearly everything during an update. I followed the instruction from Apple Support and turned on TM so I could enter and recover the needed libraries. Unfortunately I wasn't aware that TM would continuously backup for the next 7 hours as I searched for duplicate music files, merged iPhoto libraries, etc...until I received the message that TM had deleted all my backups (all the way back to 2010).
Just to head off the "how could you not know?!" comments - I had previously left TM off and just selected backup now when I attached the external drive.
The good news is that the backup I used to restore my music and iPhoto library from May still appears to be intact, so how do I make sure it doesn't get deleted the next time I back up? My concern is, once I've removed all the duplicate music and photo files I would like to back up again prior to upgrading to Yosemite - just in case I experience the same issues with losing files again I'd like to be prepared.
My external hard drive is an Iomega with 83.1 GB free of 320 GB.
I'm on a Mid-2009 MacBook Pro / 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 / 43.76 GB free of 159.18 GB
OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks

You need to get a bigger external drive, 2 to 4 times the amount of data you are backing up. I would also recommend a minimum of 2 backups. You can do that with 2 Time Machine drives or use a clone to give you a bootable backup.

How to stop iPhone automatically disconnecting during an iTunes update?

When I'm updating my iPhone on my brother's laptop or my grandfather's computer iTunes updates my iPhone well, but when I try to update my iPhone on iTunes on my computer, it will say "8 hours remaining" or during the "8 hour" update it will say that my iPhone has been disconnected during the update. I won't even touch the phone and this message would still appear. Can someone please help me because I really want to upgrade to ios 6 and this is the only thing that is in my way. Could this be a problem with my computer or my iPhone?

Probably a slow internet connection where your at
the update is very large (700mb ish) so it can take a very long time to download (roughly the sice of 250 mp3s for example)
Best bet is to go somewhere where else with wifi (starbucks, mcdonalds, etc) and try the update there

Document saved(no automatic clearing) during VF11

Hi experts,
I cancelled an invoice document through VF11. Cancellation invoice was also created, but when i save this, i get the message
"Document xxxxxxxxx saved(no automatic clearing)".
Note:Invoice is of zero value.
This doesnt financially affect but i want to know why this message appears in green while saving. its not normal.
I have already searched the forums. but doesnt help relating to this. its either related to value invoices or other issues to cancellation.

Hi Preethi,
This error occurs when the original invoice A that has been cancelled has its accounting "cleared".
By cancelling the Invoice A with new cancelled invoice as B, system does not automatically reverse the accounting entries.
You need to get the accounting reversed manually for which the payment is already recieved.

Dependent tables automatic conversion during transport (SE14?)

Hello all,
I have changed the length of our custom ZATLAPC1 attribute of 0MATERIAL from 2 to 3 (data type = NUMC).
When I tried to activate this attribute in the development system - it asked me to go SE14 transaction and convert /BI0/PMATERIAL and /BIC/SZATLAPC1 tables.
So that helped.
But when I transported this change to the test system - the transport failed saying structures changed at field level.
I could only open the system for changes, went to SE14 to convert tables and activate infoobject.
This solution is not really elegant to transport this change to production in order to do manual changes there.
Any one can help me if there is a better option? Is there any possibility the transport will convert dependent tables automatically?

Hi,
when activating your IObj in DEV the system has complained asking you to convert the underlying tables. You should accept this prompt; you will then be directed directly to SE14 where you manually adjust the tables. Then you would have gone back to your RSD1 screen and activate it again. The system would have prompted successively the same for each table to be converted.
If you go by yourself in SE14 (out of RSD1), the "adjustment" won't be "transported automatically".
Usually the transport does that automatically for simple changes. In your case it would have worked if ZATLAPC1 wouldn't have been an attr of your 0MATERIAL I guess; at least in my case, the transport has nearly always taken care of this conversion automatically.

I know it is not common, but in our make-to-order company this is not strange.
Any suggestions? Preferable within standard SAP.
