Automatic PO form goods receipt without reference Movement type 501

Hi,
My client receive sample material from the vendor that is without reference to PO, but upon approval of sample the vendor has to make the payment for which i do not have the reference document number.
To arive at the solution i wanted to generate automatic PO for movement type 501, for which i have checked the movement type settings, 501- automatic PO, i ahve maintained the info record, and during GR for movement type 501 i enter the vendor even than system is not generating any PO in backend, I have centraalised purchase organization assigned to the plant.
can anyone suggest me if i am missing any settings,

Hi,
You need to configure the following steps for creating automatic PO in MIGO transaction.
1.Activate the auto PO in Material and Vendor Master.
2. Maintain the Info record.
3.Assign the Standard Purchase organisation for the plant you want to create auto Po.
   Path: ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE-ASSIGNMENT-MATERIALS MANAGEMENT-ASSIGN STANDARD PURCHASE ORG FOR PLANT.
4. Activate create PO automatically for movement type (101,501).
Path: MM-INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND PHYSICAL INVENTORY-GOODS RECEIPT-CREATE PURCHASE ORDER AUTOMATICALLY - here you can activate for the mvt type you want.
5.In MIGO screen, goto menu Settings and click default values , you will get a screen where you can check the mvt type 101,501... are maintained in mvt type column. if not you just enter the mvt type which you want. and click adopt tab.
6. Now you do GR using 501 mvt type and give the material and vendor ..
It will work.

  • MIGO Goods Receipt - error with Movement Types on GR from Inbound Delivery

    I am getting an error message when processing a Goods Receipt (MIGO) against an Inbound Delivery with as 2 lines with different movement types, a standard 101 and a 970 (the latter being a user defined movement type for free goods).
    The error message I get is 'Movement type 970 is not allowed; only 101 is allowed
    Message no. BORGR622'
    This error message only occurs with a Goods Receipt against an Inbound Delivery, we are able to process a similar Goods Receipt using MIGO against a Purchase Order, with two different movement types 101 and 970, without any issues. 
    It is only a problem with a GR against an Inbound Delivery which is necessary in our MM solution.
    As anybody and ideas how to resolve this?  I cannot see anything obvious in config, and have not spotted any SAP OSS notes either.
    I should mention that we can process a single line Inbound Delivery and Goods Receipt for the Movement Type 970 also!

    The solution was set up at my company before I joined, but the different movement type is to enable the free goods stock to make a Finance posting to a Bonus Stock GL Account.  Bonus stock sale update the same account.
    As I mention the '970' movement type worked fine with Goods Receipt against a Purchase Order (it was coded into to the user exit). 
    The MM procedures were changed to use the Inbound Delivery matched to the PO, this had a result that when the Goods receipt was posted in MIGO it posted as 101 movement, as the PO number was not being recognised.
    By making a further change to the user exit we able to suggest the '970' movement type, but now get the BORGR622 error I refer to.
    '511' is not possible against an inbound delivery either.

    We are receiving the material from other plant for job work.
    If i take the material into stock through 501 movement type the Value is getting updated in the receiving plant as per the value from the Material Master which same material also being exist in the receiving plant.
    I need to avoid posting the value while goods receipt through 541 Movement..

    Hi Sridhar,
    I don't have much information on the process you're trying to engage. But you can always create a free transfer PO and then the material documents.
    Are you aware of the financial implications of having stock transfers and no financial documents related?
    You can always use movement 561 and manage a dummy account in OBYC.

    The Ext. Amount LC field is mandatory in MIGO for movement type 501...

  • Problem in Goods receipt of serializedspare (Movement type: 262) on Maintenance Order

    Dear Experts,
            When i create a maintenance order for equipment and assign serialized spare parts With negative sign and valuation type damaged then i go to T-code MIGO to receive the spare parts (Movement type 262), the below error message has been showed up. This is because, I want to receive the spare part into the warehouse with valuation type (Damaged) differ from the valuation type of issuing it at the first time (Under test)
    So is there a way to receive a spare part with the same serial number on a different valuation type than that one it has been issued upon it firstly.

  • Output type configuration for the Goods Receipt without the PO.

    Hi,
    I have a scenario whereby I want two Smartform(s) to fire from the MIGO Transaction. It is for Goods Recepit / others . Movement type '501'. Now we have created a new output type ZWE1 and configured in the system in the Transaction SPRO as follows:
    Materials Management Inventory Management and Physical Inventory Output Detaremination Output types
    ZWE1 is configured along with the Program and the Routine name but no Smartforms has been specified since there are two smartforms to be triggered via this Z program and via MIGO based on the material type which would be decided by the Program internally.
    We have also configured the Material Output Determination and the Procedures fin the Ciondition Procedures for the Control data  ME0001 mentioning this output type without the requirement code 173.
    We have also configured the Output type ZWE1 with the Program name and the Routine in the link  Assign Forms and Program
    but somehow the Program still does not get trigerred.
    Can anyone please tell me what is the reason for this and how this Prpblem should be addressed.
    Any help on this front would be appreciated.

  • Post Goods Issue without reference to order

    Dear All
    We are using both Account and Costing Based COPA. We do post goods issue without reference to order. Now our problem is that at the time of post goods issue there is no Profit Analysis document posted in the system  and Profit Segment field is not modifiable. We have marked the field profit segment optional in movement type 601.
    Please let me know what can be the problem.

    Now i am doing Historical data migration project. for this project last 7 year data we will move to New sap systems. we will get the data from standard tables from the all module like FI/CO,MM and PS.
    So in FI data i done through z program. in MM side previsiously only PO data only  in the scope.but recently they added Good movements also. so whenever the MM consultant will do the Goods receipts the fi documents will come in to piture. it is duplicate data available twice.
    Because I uploaded FI data which is linked to MM integration. so now my problem is whenever the MM Consultant wii upload the Goods Receipts, there is no Fi document happen. so please provide any soluation about this.

    - Second, I want to Good Receipt without PO for the Material with quantity is 40 and price is 12.000 per one.
    I think I will create new movement type.

    Hi Huy,
    You can use 501 movment type and make the field EXBWR- Ext. Amount in LC optional/editable in OMJJ. By doing so you will be able to enter the price and the Vendor and create a GR without PO. In this case it would hit the GR/IR account.
    If you desire not to hit this account then you can either use 202 or you can create a Custom movment type similar to it and make the GL account field Optional. Then you can enter the GL account while doing the Goods Receipt.

    Go to MB1C enter 561 movement type (initial posting ) .
    Material number is must.
    It will be against profit center as it is goods receipt and stock value will be credited to our a/c .

    Is it possible to make automatic reservation for goods receipt so that the store collects the material from PM? If yes, please explain.

    Just to add further, whenever you mention -ve qty in order & do goods movement in MIGO, you do reversal of goods issue only(262 movt) & its basically used for returning unconsumed items to the store. As far as cost is concerned its deducted from the actual cost of maintenance(expenses only) & i think cant be treated as revenue.  If we recall our basics of cost flow during goods movement, it heats the G/L A/C ( stock A/c & consumption A/C) as well as the cost element for capturing total cost.  So this -ve cost will be adjusted in the total cost (expenses) only. Pl correct me if I am wrong

    What about AUTOMATIC reservation for goods receipt of finished product? Is it possible to make automatic reservation in PP for goods receipt of finished product, when finished product is ready?
    I know that manual reservation for goods receipt of finished product can be done by using MB21 (521).

    Your requirement is a little bit confusing...
    If you have production order, why do you need GR-reservation for the to-be produced material? The production order itself is a GR-MRP element nad you can post the GR agains it.
    If you don't have production order, I understand you need something to plan the GR.
    But it seems you want to have both the PrdOrd and the GR-reservation --> you will have the same thing twice in your system.

  • Goods receipt without a purchase order

    hellow experts,
    I created a good receipt in MIGO with out a purchase order, the saving icon refuse to highlight i.e is not highlighted, so i cat save the goods receipt. I dont know if it has something to do with the configuration? if the system is configured not to accept a goods receipt without a PO.?. I will really appreciate if there is a way for me to make the save icon active, thanks

    I would like to know the G/L account to assign to the good receipt without a purchace order, because most of the GL account I have tried from my list has been given me messages like, "it is not possible to post directly to this account", and some other errors
