Automatic posting to different stock type
Hi Folks,
I wanted to know if there is a way to setup, that any future orders from Home Hardware for SE2180 12C (SAP#39062) or SE2184 12C (SAP# 39071) are automatically put into H-stock. Is this possible?
We would only need to do this in the short term until all old graphic inventory is consumed by other customers.
Can anyone help me to solve the issue....................................
Thanks,

Automatic Posting in different depreciation area (4.7 and 6.0)
Dear all,
I want to understand how it is possible the procedure of automatic posting in different depreciation areas.
Exemple: I post a specific movement via ABAON, and automatically the system creates another document (with sequencial number, because uses THE SAME DOCUMENT TYPE), to another depreciation area (using ASKB). And that procedure happens in 4.7 version.
Now, in different version, like ECC 6.0, the system react the same as in 4.7, but uses another method when creates the document, as I say in the next path:
Financial Accounting >Asset Accounting>Integration with the General Ledger>Post APC Values Periodically to the General Ledger>Specify Document Type for Periodic Posting of Asset Values
This is the customization part to associate the new document (another depreciation area, as I've explained before).
This step is possible to choose only one document type. But in version 4.7 (at least it is what is happening in my client) the document type is choosen according to the first document, the one, I post in ABAON (or another transaction with similar characterics).
Please anyone can help me?
Thanks in advance,
CCTAddendum:
The options in ECC 6.0 are:
0 Area Does Not Post
1 Area Posts in Realtime
2 Area Posts APC and Depreciation on Periodic Basis
3 Area Posts Depreciation Only
4 Area Posts APC Directly and Depreciation -> V2 update
5 Area Posts APC Only
6 Area Posts Only APC Directly -> V2 update
If in the area is set the posting indicator 4 or 6 (V2) than it means it's a virtual posting (like 'post direct'). The postings in those area area technically processed via "V2-update". With this update a log table is written where all successul updates of this area are stored.
When you start RAPBER2000 this log table is compared against all postings (since the last run) and if there is any posting missing RAPERB2000 collects this missing posting.
This means, if in background for some reason, that we cannot tell in retrospect, there was an update error, or an error occurs due to missing customizing (please check you ASKBN posting in transaction ARAL which should tell what happened during your posting) ASKBN will pick up the outstanding posting and created/posts the FI document.
In your case the difference might be that This documents is posted either directly per V2 posting (=realtime) or later with RAPERB2000 and this causes different document types.

Different Stock types in the same HU....
Hi Team,
Is there a possibility that i can have the different stock types in the same HU in SAP EWM.If we have any options please let know.
Thanks,
Kris.Mixed Stock Types for the Same Product
Controls whether a product in a bin or HU is allowed to be of more than one stock type. If the field is blank, different stock types are allowed. If it is selected, the product or batch can only exist in one stock type.
Dependencies
If the available quantity level for the storage type is set to Storage Bin, then this field is completely independent from other storage type settings. However, if the available quantity level is set to Highest-Level HU, the following dependencies exist:
Mixed Storage must be set either to 1 - Several Non-Mixed HUs with the Same Product/Batch or to 2 - Several HUs with Different Batches of the Same Product.
Mixed Storage in HU must also be set either to 1 - Several Non-Mixed HUs with the Same Product/Batch or to 2 - Several HUs with Different Batches of the Same Product. -

But the report shows different opening quantity, total receipt, total issue, but closing quantity is ok.
Could you pls tell me the reason?

MB5B transaction is used to display the stock on posting date
It is not possible to view at the same time both Valuated stock and special stock. This is radio button input control,so any one of the stock type only possible to display the material document.
This report display the material and plant vise material document number and total stock and total issue etc for the example,

Where to configure which stock type to post in a movement type?
Hi,
As we know , when we carry out a posting with a movement type, e.g. mvt. typ. 261, system will automatically post to unrestricted-use stock. And if mvt.typ. 331, system will post to QI stock.
I'd like to ask where to configure movement type to let it know which kind of stock type(not special stock, like E,K,etc.) to post.
i.e. if I create a new mvt. typ. , where can i set it to post to unrestricted-use , QI or Blocked stock?
I can find T156M-BUSTM and T156M-ZUSTD are relevant to stock type posting, but i don't know where to connect these fields to movement types.
Thanks in advance!
WesleyHi,
Normally there will be two types of moments available broadly.Material inflow and material outflow moments.During outflows we tell the system to take the stocks from which stock type and storage location and during inflows we tell to post to which stock type and sorage location.
The moment type 261 is a issue against an order and which has always to be from unrestricted .
and 331 is to issue towards stock to Quality inspection.
During inflows we can tell to the system through material master, vendor,or purchasing document to get posted to which stock.
For outflows system always takes from unrestricted and issues and if there is no stock in the storage location unrestricted , system provides a error message.
But however you can create a moment type at SPROMMIMMoment typescreate (OMJJ).

Add stock types to MB5B report output
Hi,
We need to create a new report which will be a combination of MB5B and MB52.
In the sense, the new report should be able to give the stock on a particular posting date split into the different stock types like unrestricted, restricted, QI, blocked etc.
Please let m eknow if this is possible.
Thanks!
PMmaterial history may be available at the most for periods. you may have to transfer the data to a ztable from Mard on daily basis, may be as a job run in the night and can have a logic to fetch it from the ztable

Inventory count for Various Stock types
What is Inventory count for Various Stock types?
i have to upload data to this.
can anyone explain this and give the tcode for this.
Regards,
VimalHi,
While taking up physical inventory you have the option of doing it for different stock types being maintained .Like Quality stock, unrestricted stock ,blocked stock. If you are doing this activity in sessions in MI31 ,you need to check against the stock types which are to be counted. This will include the stock of the items as selected and leave aside the stock types not selected. In MI01 also you can select these stock types which are donated by 1,2,3 & 4 stock type. After creating the document the stock counted is to be entered in MI04 .Than get the difference list in MI20.The difference will be posted in MI07 which will complete the activity and stock will be adjusted after posting tyhe difference.

Quality stock type in Ware House Management
Dear Experts,
During LT10 - Transfer Order Confirmation stock should post to Quality Stock type, but now it is posting to UnR.Stock.
Please suggest what settings we need to carry out
Regardshi
check following...
1.IMG: Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Activities > Transfers > Define Movement Types
Here please check that Your warehouse and movement type is there and also check the all settings by double clicking on movement type 321 or 311
2.IMG: Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Interfaces > Inventory Management > Define Movement Types >> LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management
Here you ensure that your IM movement type 321 or 311 are assigned to WM movement types 321 or 311 and also have Immediate TO creation set to "A" (automatically in the background)
Warehouse Management also has movement types which, similar to their counterparts in Inventory Management, control the process flow in the warehouse. In particular, Warehouse Management movement types influence the interim storage area to be used (the organizational bridge between Inventory Management and Warehouse Management). You link the movement types from Inventory Management to the Warehouse Management movement types in Customizing to ensure a technical connection between WM and IM. For example, if a goods receipt for a purchase order or work order is posted using Inventory Management movement type 101 to a storage location with Warehouse Management, the system determines the corresponding Warehouse Management movement type and, depending on the settings for the WM movement type, generates stock in a "goods receipt" interim storage area. As to key 321 and 322, system needn't two movement type for one stock transfer from QI to unrestricted stock in WM, so you saw only the WM movement type 321 used for IM MVT 321 and 322.so for 331 of IM it will search for corrosponding 331 of WM. -
Different movement types for store Physical Count process
Hi Experts
Would like to ask for your advice in terms of using different movement types for physical inventory process.
The scenario is like this:
1) Our client uses different counting processes for store inventory, with both annual full stock take AND spontaneous ad-hoc counting which is more frequent and involve probably around 30 articles a week.
2) Both types of counting involve count result interface from a 3rd party POS system
3) Since it is count result interface, we are considering the standard PI process (MI01, MI04, MI07, MI31, MI20, etcetc)
4) However the standard movement type is 701/702 while our client request a different financial posting, hence different movement types, for the ad-hoc counting
So the question is very simple: Is there a way for SAP to determine using 701/702 when it is a full stock take, while using another set of Z-movement types when it is a ad-hoc count. Bare in mind that both information are the count result, not a variance adjustment, from external POS system.
Appreciate very much for your help!

hi experts,
can any body tell how many types of STOCK are there and how STOCK are created in SAP?
Thanks.Hi,
Due to various inventory transaction in sap various stooks types are created.Stock type is nothing but the stock quantity created with a specific transactions .
there exixts two types of stocks.Normal stocks and special stocks.
Normal : UR,Quality, blocked
Special stocks:
Special stocks are stocks that are managed separately as a result of their not belonging to your company or being stored at a particular location
Special stocks and special procurement types are divided into the following areas:
· Consignment
· Subcontracting
· Stock transfer using stock transport order
· Third-party processing
· Returnable transport packaging
· Pipeline handling
· Sales order stock
· Project stock
Stocks belonging to your company that are stored with the vendor or the customer.
In the SAP System the following types of special stocks are available:
· Stock of material provided to vendor
· Consignment stock at customer
· Returnable packaging stock at customer
Since these special stocks are not located at your own company, they are managed at plant level and not at storage location level.
Two stock types are possible:
· Unrestricted-use stock
· Quality inspection stock
All stock types can be inventoried.
Purpose
Stock of Material Provided to Vendor
These are your company's own stocks that you provide to the vendor (subcontractor) to manufacture a product you have ordered. However, this stock is still your company's property. This stock is available for Materials Planning.
The goods movements for materials provided to vendor are described in Subcontracting.
Consignment Stock at Customer
This is consignment material belonging to your company that is stored with the customer. This stock is not available for materials planning.
In Inventory Management, you can post the following goods movements (with reversal):
· Initial entry of stock balances (movement types 561, 563)
· Transfer posting from plant to plant in one step (301)
· Transfer posting material to material (309; see also Entering Transfer Posting Material to Materials)
Other goods movements are processed using the Sales (SD-SLS) component. See also: Consignment.
Returnable Packaging Stock at Customer
This is packaging materials or means of transport (for example, pallets or crates) which are supplied by your company to a customer and must be returned. Returnable packaging stock is not available for Materials Planning.
See also: Returnable Packaging Stock
Externally-Owned Special Stocks
Definition
Externally-owned special stocks belonging to a vendor or customer that are stored at your company.
In the ERP System, the following types of externally-owned special stocks exist:
· Vendor consignment
· Returnable transport packaging
· Sales order stock
· Project stock
Since these special stocks are located at your company, they are managed at storage location level.
These special stocks can be allocated to three different stock types:
· Unrestricted-use stock
· Quality inspection stock
· Blocked stock
All stock types can be inventoried.

Acquisition tax in Belgium/Germany-Posting with different tax codes
Dear Friends,
Does anyone have experience working with Acquisition tax in Belgium and German where the goods and services purchased within EU have 21% -input and output tax such that it is ZERO. But still Tax authorities need to see both input and output tax amount with different tax code such as under:
Expense a/c Dr 100
Payable a/c Cr 100
Input VAT a/c Dr 21 - Tax code A1
Output VAT a/c Cr 21 - Tax code B1
Any help as to how to post the above entry and how to customize tax code to get the above result and any changes if required in country code tax calculation procedure will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
PinkyHi Pinky,
When you define your tax codes, the system defaults certain tax types that have been defined in the system for specific countries. Input tax, output tax, and non-deductible input tax are examples of tax types used in Germany.
The system determines which tax types are to be displayed by means of the country key. A calculation procedure is specified for each country key, and this procedure contains the country-specific specifications for calculating and posting the different tax types.
When you define the calculation procedure, you must answer the following questions concerning each tax type:
What is the base amount for calculating the tax? This can be the expense or revenue amount or, as with sales equalization tax in Belgium, a tax amount.
Which calculation type is used to determine the base amount: percentage included or percentage separate? With very few exceptions (such as for travel expense accounting in Germany), the base amount is normally determined percentage included.
The tax amount is 15%.
Percentage included
Tax amount = invoice gross amount * (tax rate/100 + tax rate)
150 = 1150 * ( 15 / 100 + 15)
Percentage separate
Tax amount = invoice net gross * tax rate/100
150 = 1000 * 15 / 100
To which side of the account must the tax amount be posted? The input and output tax is always posted in accordance with the G/L account and asset line items. For the tax to be posted additionally, the side of the account is determined depending on the input or output tax. For the acquisition and investment tax, for example, you post to the opposite side of the account.
Should a possible tax expense be divided between the G/L account and asset line items or posted separately? If, for example, you have a non-deductible input tax amount, you can choose whether to post to a separate expense account or apportion the tax expense between the G/L account and asset line items.
The type of tax calculation and posting depends on the answers to these questions and the combination of those answers.
The following topics introduce individual tax types and explain the necessary specifications for calculating and posting tax. For more information on the calculation procedure, see The Calculation Procedure.

Document type should always post to specific account type
Hello experts,
I have 1 question, Depeneding on the Document type definition I can post to different account types (S, K, D , M ,A). Assume I created a doc type ZA and checked all the account types then it allows me post to all the account types.
Here I want the document type ZA to validate one of the line in the document should always be type K (vendor). In short in the combinaton of account types posted to under this document type should always have one specified account type.
All contributions welcome.
Thanks,
KKRHi Eli,
I am not sure how to do that in this case, I have worked on validations before and I always worked with 'Constants'. If I write
If Doc type is ZA
then account type should be 'K'
But the problem is it wont allow me to post as the other line will always be different, that means a combination K and other than K.
And we are not sure how many lines going to be there in a GL document.
Do I nee to look at user exits in validations? If yes, please let me know how can I do that.
Thanks,
KKR

How MRP Run exclude QI Stock Type of a Raw Material SLOC?
Dear all
Fact:
All of our raw materials must be subject to quarantinee upon GR. We have Storage Location of Raw Material: RMSL
In Material Master of that Raw Material
We are using the "SLOC of EP" (MRP View 2) to put the defaulted GR SLOC. And we also make use of the "Post to QI Stock" in View: Purchasing.
Upon GR:
During GR, the Raw Mat SLOC (RMSL) will be copied from "SLOC of EP" of the material master data, and it will be posted to the stock type "QI STOCK".
Problem:
However, when the MRP Controller run MRP, it will take the QI Stock Type of Raw Material SLOC into account.
Is there anyway we can exclude the QI Stock Type of Raw Material SLOC from MRP Run?
I have read from some threads to suggest to post it to the Quarantinee SLOC. We prefer not to create another Quarantinee SLOC (QISL) which will be filled in SLOC of EP and then after passing QC, we perform Transfer Posting from SLOC: QISL to SLOC: RMSL. We have a few Raw Material SLOCS and we do not want the Warehouse guy to get confused which Raw MAterial SLOC to choose upon GR. Rather, we prefer it to be defaulted in the "SLOC of EP" in the material master.
Please advise.
Edited by: Daimos on Jul 13, 2009 1:16 PMHi,
Generally MRP consider stock from all the storage location when run the MRP for Plant level for material.
However we can exclude the particular storage location from MRP Run, for those following settings to be done.
Go to MRP-2 View of material master and select the storage location to be excluded from MRP. (Press Shift +f1 ex .sloc2) As per your case it should be RMSL
In that MRP view go to Storage location MRP Tab.
And assign u201CSLoc MRP indicator = 1 (Storage location stock excluded from MRP)u201Dand save.
Now run the MRP, stock from sloc2 will not be considered to create-planned order.
Please try this and revert back.
Cheers,
