Automatic Refresh not happening on BAM Report in Active Viewer

Hi,
I am on SOA 11.1.1.4 and is connecting to an External Datasource (Oracle Database) to create Data objects. But when i am creating a report on it, I am not able to see the report in Active viewer getting refreshed automatically instead I have to Reprompt for the changes. I want the reports to automatically refresh after an interval, any help will be highly appreciated.

Is your popup blocker turned off? I can only imaging that the popup blocker may be keeping the Live Data window from appearing and updating the dashboard. Active Studio doesn't do a Live update, but an update on report load.

Difference between refresh of Report in Active Viewer and Active Studio BAM

We use the Oracle SOA Suite with BAM (on Linux) 10.3.2.0.
I have 2 questions:
1. We have made a report with several items and in Active Studio --> Select Report --> Edit mode --> I see the correct values for my report. When I open my report in Active Viewer I see data from yesterday. The report is not being refreshed. How can I change this, what is causing this difference between Active Viewer and Active Studio in Edit mode??
2. One of my items in my report always gives the message: opening (only in Active Viewer, in Active Studio/edit mode I can see the correct data).

Automatic clearing not happening while doing invoice cancellation

Hi All,
When I reverse a billing document [normal invoice], the accounting document which gets generated is not getting cleared with the previous accounting document. The accounting document type in both original and reversal is u2018DDu2019. I have also checked the reversing document type settings in OBA7.
The above scenario is working fine with one company code [ABC], but with other company code [XYZ] the auto-clearing of accounting documents is not happening. The sales document types in both the cases are same.
On further analysis, I found that the reversal accounting document is having posting key 11(credit memo) instead of 12(Reverse invoice), but in other company code[ABC] the posting key is appearing correctly in the reversal accounting document i.e. posting key as 12.
Can you please confirm if this happening due to incorrect posting key? Also kindly suggest how this can be corrected?

    Message no. VF208
Diagnosis
    The system cannot clear billing documents and cancellation documents
    because, for example individual item updating is deactivated.
System Response
    The billing document can be created.
Procedure
    The FI documents are cleared manually
of curse, this message only occurs in company 1500, and in the other company 2000, the reverse billing can automatic clearing, and have nothing message occurs.

Sorting not happening in Union reports

Experts, we upgraded from 10g to 11g. I have a union report on which Sorting was working in 10g but sorting is not happening in 11g. Is anybody aware of it how to solve or is there any parameter in any of the config files which can make it work?

Give more extended information please. What is 11g version? Is it excluded column? Does column have an alternative sort column?

Automatic packing not happening

Hi All,
Im doing outbound delivery auto packing for std sales as well as STO cycles
auto packing happening for std cycle but not happening fot STO i have done as fallows..
maintained pop1,popf1 and all delivery type activated for auto pack but not happening for STO
pls provide all steps for auto pack and what may be the reason for my issue.

Export in Query Ready mode not Working.for FR reports in HTML view

Hi,
When we run the FR reports in HTML view in Workspace,there is an option at the bottom to "Export in Query Ready mode",it's not exporting the report in Smart view excel .
But some of our users are able to export the report in SV.We are using EPM 11.1.1.3. I have checked the IE 7 settings with other users and it's same.
Does anybody has any idea what could be the cause?

It is the behavior, Query ready mode will only pulls the members which are in Essbase (no FR calculated fields)

Automatic refreshing and saving of Crystal reports

Hi
I have a number of reports >100 that need to be refreshed each month
I am using Crystal reports XI professional edition and want to know how to either build a batch file to run them all, or if there are any tools I can use.
At the moment it is all done manually, which takes many many hours to do.
any advice would be gratefully recieved.

BAM Report and Active data cache

I am having problems with reports that have automatic active data retrieval.
It does not work.
If I load the report it extracts the data correctly from an external data source. If I Reprompt or refresh it brings back changed data from the data source.
It does not automatically poll for changes even though it is set in the report properties.
If I stop and start the Active data cache service it starts polling and reconnecting, but not resynching the data.
In the Active data cache log I have the following entries :

Can you identify your company and project.?
a) Maximum capacity of ADC == maximum capacity of your underlying Oracle DB used by BAM as repository.
b) Retention period - infinite - data is there in BAM ADC (also in BAM repository) till you manually delete it (there is no automatic delete of old data)
c) Yes ADC stores its data internally in the Oracle database (aka BAM repository)
d) No - we generally donot publish ADC internals. This is a known decision since end users will only work either to put data into ADC or plot reports/dashboards from BAM GUI. You have to be very specific on what your are trying to acheive and we can suggest possible alternates.

BAM report errors

I have installed BAM server and all demos worked well until all in a sudden all my gauges do not work anymore and reports in active viewer do not flicker. I thought it happened because of the short of memory. I added new memory and problems remain. all logs could not provide meaningful information. It is hard to find what the problem and I hate to reinstall BAM every time I meet unknown or undebugable problem. Any easier way to solve the problem? Thanks!

please open a metalink support ticket. And export all your bam objects & reports, plans and other dependencies and send it to support. This is the only way this gets resolved. OR ask your local oracle representative to help you get this resolveed. This is very difficult to give a resolution or answer to such problems. We understand your frustration.

New changes are not getting reflected in the bam reports.

I have created a BPEL process and it polls the data from a table and populate an object created in Bam.I have accomplished the above task by createing two database adaptors.One is on 10g database and another one is on Bam database.I have created a view based on the bamobject and used a database adaptor to populate the data. BPEL process is populating the data properly to that bamobject but those changes are not reflecting to bam reports automaticaly. We need to refresh the report or reprompt the report to see the changes.Could some help me to reslove this issue.

I have tried that option too.But that is also not working. BPEL Procees is able to populate the BAM object with the help of the sensor.But those changes are not getting reflected in BAM Reports.But if i create or update an existing record in BAM object through BAM Architect, those changes are getting reflected in BAM Reports(No manual intervention is required).
Your help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Images not displying in the reports

We are using BI APPS 7.9.6.3 and siebel crm is source systems.we are using OOB dashboards.
in that one report not showing images.that report having static view.

Automatic Page Refresh Not Working Correctly

This is Apex 3.2 with no jquery (Theme 15)
I have a background job which is started from an apex page.
Once the job is started the user can view this job via an interactive report.
This report has highlighting and one updateable column.
APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_LOV(4,a.status,'JOB_STATUS',null,'YES',null,'-Select-') status
I have an application item that the user can set via a select list.
This application item is used to set the page refresh (html page header)
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="&F270_REFRESH_INTERVAL.">
Once they have set this item, the the page is supposed to be refreshed after so many seconds.
The page seems to be refreshing, as the report highlighting changes and report values change,
but the updateable column value (select list) does not change.
Any ideas much appreciated

If I use a button to refresh the page, ie submit and branch back to itself, then the report
reflects the changes.
If I put <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="&F270_REFRESH_INTERVAL."> into the page header (to automatically refresh),
then the page refreshes, but the updateable column does not update.
If I look at the page source it says
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
and not
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5">

Automatically refresh the report tabs after selecting the parameters in bip

Hello Everything!!
Is there a way to automatically refresh all the report tabs once we select the parameters? The report are not refreshed automatically in each tab and users have to either hit apply button or refresh button for each report tab . Is this a lacking feature in BI publisher. I am using 11.1.1.6.6.

Automatic cache for ABAP Cache( SXI_CACHE not happening)

Hi All
I have installed the PI 7.0, configuation went well, have developed the sample ineterfacess and these interfacess are working fine...
The problem i am facing is the ABAP runtime cache is not getting updated automatically, after say10 min of each interface run, when i check SXI_CACHE it shows error (unable to perform Cache, Integreation_directory_HMI error) when i run the delta cache it works and the interfaces works fine....
i have done the following things to check for solution.
1. Made sure all the Namespacess in the IR are consistent.
2. INTEGREATION_DIRECTORY_HIM rfc dest is working fine..
i have checked no time out option uder special option...
3. all the servicess releated to the cache under SICF are perfect.
when i run the cache it works fine, but it is not supporting automatic refresh..
Kindly let me know the report name which will take care of running the cache in background...
Any suggestions.

Prateek,
The user for this RFC dest HMI is PIISUSER, and this user has the role of the IS_Service_User and IS_Service_User_main this roles has the authorization of S_rfc_adm....
To make sure this is causing the problem when i get the error again i will check the authorization to run the RFC dest: HMI and let you know.....
i think since i am using the user PIISUSER i should not have this problem but i will confirm it in sometime now..
there is some program whihc can be scheduld to do this refresh from ABAP side right?
any other inputs?
