Automatic Role transfer to SAP
Hi all,
is it possible to automate the "Portal Role Transfer to SAP" functionality within the portal?
Cheers
Marcel
Hi Marcel,
did you fixed the automatic upload issue? If yes - how?
because I'm in the same situation right now ...
Thanks a lot in advance.
Best regards
Michael

Hi everyone,
I am trying to create an automatic control for checking automatic data transfer settings calibration for transfer data from SAP-FI to SAP BPC.
Any idea of how to design it? Is there a tabla containing information about the complete transfer of the data?
Thank you so much!!
Kind regards,Hello

Automatically role up reporting when manager leaves
Hi,
How do we automatically role employees up to the next level of reporting relations when a manager is terminated & they are not moved?
For eg: if my manager leaves, my reporting should automatically role up to my manager's manager.
Please advise if there is some configuration or standard report to perform this activity.
Thank you,
ManishThis is actually standard SAP behaviour. When a manager position is empty, SAP considers the manager to be the next manager up the hierarchy. This is how eg. MSS and reports for managers work. Also I believe the FM that finds managers work this way.
Note that for workflows, the switch WFLOW/VAPOS needs to be set for the system to skip the vacant manager positions and go one level up.

SRM MDM: Workflow Unlaunch while performing the Automatic data transfer
Hi,
We are trying to import some data from R/3 4.6 C by configuraing remote system as ERP and creating Port based based on the XML Schema in the SRM MDM Catalog. We have created work flow to validate the above pulled data accuracy into data manager. Everything goes well here, I am able to get the data transfered into data manager Automatically But the only issue is in the Work flow.
Set workflow into data manager is not able to launch automatically even though the record is accurate via automatic transfer. I have accuratly set the wokflow name in import manager while svaing the MAP file for automatic import.
Please have your inputs why the work flow is not able to launch in automatic data transfer from the specified port.
Thanks/PawanHi Pawan,
please check in the Data Manager, that you selected by the workflow, the right Trigger Actions, such as Record Import. And that the Autolunch is also set correcly.

Material transfer from SAP R/3 to SAP Business One is blocked
Hello experts,
Please I need your help for the following scenario:
Our client has B1iSN and SAP R/3 in the headquarter company and B1if and SAP B1 in the subsidiary. The material transfer from SAP R/3 to SAP Business One failed and the following message is diplayed:
Result message :
com.sap.b1i.xcellerator.XcelleratorException: XCE001 Nested exception: com.sap.b1i.bizprocessor.BizProcException: BPE001 Nested exception: com.sap.b1i.xcellerator.XcelleratorException: XCE001 Nested exception: com.sap.b1i.xcellerator.XcelleratorException: XCE001 Nested exception: java.lang.RuntimeException: DI Error: (-2028) No matching records found (ODBC -2028)
The Material database transfer is blocked due to message in status
failure which block all other messages.
We tried to restart the server (Business One and B1iSN) but it didnu2019t solve the issue.
Any idea please? Thank you.Hi Nadia,
did you check the WRITE-POLICY settings of your scenario?
when reading the displayed DI Error message, it looks like B1iSN is trying to update an B1 item which does not exists.
Please open SAP B1iSN Tools -> Development Tools -> Graphical scenario Design and select your Bizpackage, BizStep and BIUMETA.
Open the WRITE-POLICY symbol and check the entries:
Insert on Exist = error or fallback2U
Update on Miss = fallback2I
The Update Policy should stay to value regular.
To activate changes of the WRITE-POLICY please deactivate, modify and reactivate your Business Process instance.
If a WRITE-POLICY change has no effect, please check your data mapping (BIU) and especially the parameter <QueryParams>, which mustn't be filled for "insert/Add" operations into B1.
Best regards

Automatic outbound email on sap

Data transfer between SAP & Java and Vice versa using IDOC Process
Dear Experts,
We are working on one of the good requirement related to data transfer between SAP and Java software. Client requirement is, they want to transfer the data in both the ways (from SAP --> Java and Vice versa also).
In detail is, after sales order creation using one custom program loading plan details will be calculated. Once loading dates are confirmed then, user will release the sales document to transfer the data from SAP to Java using "Outbound IDOC processing". Similarly in that JAVA software some shipment details will be performed, once completed from JAVA software again details needs to be pumped back to SAP as "Inbound IDOC Processing".
For this fields are already identified from external software SAP and we are looking for the same to perform the steps in SAP.
At this stage, I need your expert opinion / feedback how to go about at this stage.
Meaning,
1. What are the customizing steps needs to be done in SAP..?
2. How to trigger the :Outbound IDOC process" once the documents are "Released" from custom transaction
3. How to create the link between SAP and JAVA to transfer the data between these 2 software
4. How to trigger the "Inbound IDOC Process" from JAVA software to SAP and how to store the data in SAP
Experts, please give your feedback in terms of reply or by sending the step by step process to fulfill this client requirement.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Regards,
RameshMaybe too many open questions in the same document.
Maybe you should repost a more specific question in a technical forum.
This looks like a small project where you already know what you want, maybe you should contract a technical specialist so he proceeds to the implementation! -
How to find out the Idoc number triggered for any material transfer frm SAP
Hi Folks,
Can any body let me know How to find out the Idoc number triggered for any material transfer frm SAP?
Do we have any navigation for that in MM03?
Thanks,
SPMD.Hi Shabbirmdpasha,
If you know the user name then you can find the idoc numbers created by that user. But the problem here is it not only gives the material it gives all the idocs created by that user. Go to SE16 --> table name EDIDS --> here you can fill the approximate date and in UNAME give the userid and execute. This will give all the idocs created by that user. I know it is only a partial solution.
Also would suggest to post the same in abap forums for more answers:

OM and PA data transfer from SAP 4.7 to ECC 6.0
Dear Experts,
hi
i am working on one project where i will need to design the data transfer from SAP 4.7 to ECC 6.0. this is not a upgrade project.
the data of PA and OM are in 4.7 which is existing system. i need to transfer entire data into ECC 6.0 so i can use that data for my E-Recruitment module ( we are doing E-rec fresh implementation.)
we will keep both the systems (4.7 and ECC 6.0). ECC 6.0 will be used for E-Rec and OM only. for PA and Payroll we will use 4.7.
can some one tell me,
1. what are the key points to keep in consideration from OM point of view ?
2. which is the best method to transfer the OM structure and data from 4.7 to ECC?
3. what are the risks?
4. which system we should make master system and which will be the slave system? why ?
your input will be much appreciated.
thanks and regards
chandraHi Chandra,
I was under the impression that you are planning to use PA & OM from 4.7, now I read it again.
Now its advisable to keep ECC 6 as a master system, becoz OM is the stating point of the HR processes where all Orgnization unit, job, position exists. Later the same data can flow to the slave system for PA use. As OM is the starting point, this system should be the master system.
Abou the IDoc interface.
Check the basic type HRMS_A05, whether it has all the data you need to transmit. T-Code WE30
If you need to add something you can create a Z version in WE31. I selected HRMS_A05 as it is present in both the SAP version.
Next there are series of transaction you need to process. Check with technical person who hands IDoc interafcing.
Steps are:
Assigning Message type to IDOC Type with extension. T-Code WE82
Create Logical System:
T-Code SALE-> Basic Settings-> Logical Systems-> Define Logical System
It is required to configure in the sending system as well as in the receiving system
Assign Logical System to Client:
T-Code SALE-> Basic Settings-> Logical Systems-> Assign Logical System to Client
Create RFC Destinations:
T-Code SM59, select ABAP connection of type 3.
Create Distribution Model: T-Code BD64
Generate Partner Profile: T-Code BD82
Maintain sending system partner profile: T-Code WE20
Link Message Type to Function Module T-Code WE57 in receiving system only
Hope this will help.
Let me know if you need anything else.

SMSY_SETUP automatic data transfer
Hi,
I'm trying to configure automatic data transfer between Solman 3.2 and SLD.
So I start schedule data transfert, but from log I see this problem:
Get clients for system 'SMI'
RFC error(): SLDThe accessing object does not support the path //n
Where is the problem?

Automatic sign on to SAP login screen in javascript
Hi,
I am basically a abapper, but with a little exposure to javascript, my requirement is that i am supposed to send an e-mail(not SAP email) to a users internet e-mail inbox.
In the body of the mail the user clicks on a hyper-link and the user is to be automatically navigated to the SAP initial login screen. can this be done using JAVASCRIPT or any other techniques,if so please tell me, any sample code will be appreciated.

What are the roles & responsibilities of SAP MDG Functional Consultant?
Dear experts,
Please explain What are the roles & responsibilities of SAP MDG Functional Consultant?
Regards
Adhi,Hello Adhi
There is no limit to explore in MDG. As a functional consultant you are responsible for -
1. Defining scope of MDG
2. Set up governance process - Workflow
3. Configuration - MDG (Activate services - functions / role set up / Data modelling / process modelling / replication set up ) - You have to involve in each of these activities with technical. You can also do it on your own.
4. Testing - end to end testing and training
5. Cut over activities - data load etc
In these areas, you have to contribute 100% and work with entire team (tech) for set up.
As mention, you can explore a lot in MDG.

Automatic carrier selection in SAP TM
Hi all,
in automatic carrier selection in sap TM how we can assign default carrier to freight order based on material
what are the possible ways to do this like BRF+ or any ?
thanksHello Keser,
You can try to use a selection profile for the CS(using a condition). Maybe its not the best option due to performance issues the condition based filter.
Just a question: what happen if the FO has more than one material?

Hi Experts,
Please let me know who does role design in SAP? I mean who is responsible for role designing in an SAP implementation project? Whether he is BASIS or Functional consultant.
Eg. To create a SD role for the business how come basis or security consultant will know the authorization about SD tcode. As far as my knowledge goes Functional consultant will design his module's role and at last he will handover it to the BASIS or security consultant to create the role in the system using pfcg.
Please let me know your opinion.
Thanks,
Sudip.Hi ,
You are right.
We will be getting the information from the Business side the list of Users who shall
a)Create only Sales Order,
b)Managers who can approve Credit Limit
c) Accountants who can Create Billing document etc.
All these informations which are collected for every module in scope of the
implemented business scenario will be handed over to the BASIS Team
who control them through appropriate authorisation.
Authorisation Profile are created and added to each End Users ID which will control their Authorizations.

Ravi
