Automatic SCCM Client installation not happenning

Dear All,
This is with regards to the issue i am facing in SCCM 2012 r2 CU3. My environment has 1 central server and 5 distribution point servers. The operating system of all the servers are windows 2012 r2. I have created the boundaries and boundary groups. All the
systems are discovered from Active directory. The main problem for me here is while installing the clients i have to do it manually by right clicking the client and install from the SCCM console. Normally this should happen without any intervention. When i
check in the ccmexec log it will be showing as sleeping.
I have done the configuration in the SCCM to install the client automatically, still it is the same.
Have anyone come across this issue.
Regards
Suraj

ccmexec.log as mentioned in the original question is not the correct log file; as Paul notes above, it's ccm.log. Thus, have you actually checked ccm.log?
Also, when looking at resources in the All Systems collection (not the devices node) that do not have the client agent installed, do the clients show as assigned to the site code of the site?

  • SCCM 2012 client installation not happening

    Hi,
    I'm having issues while installing SCCM 2012 client on "Microsoftr Windows Serverr 2008 Standard SP-1"
    I have tried manual install and uninstall also several time. And all the revelent services are also working fine
    and I'm having below issue:
    Some tabs are missing:

  • SCCM Client Installation Error and compmgr service issues

    Hi dudes,
    Hope you all are good. I am getting stuck in SCCM client installation. I have SCCM 2007 R3 setup. It's working perfect but recently getting errors in
    sccm client installation after facing some viruses issues in my environment.
    I search on that error but nothing found any relevant information related
    to the below error. I tried to manually installing the client but getting the error ccmsetup.exe is not a valid 32 bit application :(. Also while trying to start the configmgr service manager in tool box it gives the below snapshot error. Any help relevant
    to the below error very meaningful for me.
    Regards,
    Mohsin

    Hi Jason,
    Thank You for your response. Yes i tried it to manually start the service on client machine but it give the below error,
    For component service manager, yes we are going forward to the restoration process using VM restore(as sccm is deployed on a VM and we take the full vm backup).
    Regards,
    Mohsin

  • Prevent SCCM Client Installation on the target computers

    I need a sure-fire way to prevent manual, automated, deployment, or push SCCM Client installs from specific computers (they are medical, and will violate FDA regulations if non-approved software is installed on them).  I'm aware of the Registry entry
    on the Site Server, but, am looking for something on the target computer side (RegHack, phoney file/folder, etc.).  Discovery of the computers, but inability to install the client is OK (we'll be removing them from the Discovery LDAP queries
    as needed).
    Our SCCM Hierarchy is in one Domain, and the clients all in other Domains, so, I could look at excluding the client install account, but, that won't stop a manual or automated install.
    Thanks.

  • Automatic Batch Determination is not happening for New Sales Order Type

    Dear Experts,
      I have created a new sales order type ZBPY - For Free Sales, but automatic batch detrmination and batch pick up is not happening for new sales order type,  but it is activated for all the other sales order types in Production Server, can any body let me know the steps how to map this new order type to batch management and let it behave like other order types.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Saravanan(EKS).

    Hi Saravanan,
    Kindly check the following steps for automatic batch determination.
    1. First check the material is maintained with batch in the warehouse management.
    2. Maintain new entry for search procedure for batch determination with the new created doc type.
    3. Maintain new entry for automatic batch determination for sales order or automatic batch determination for delivery ( This depends on the business process of our client, whether they want to determine the batch with sales order or at the delivery level. check this and make new entry)
    4. Create Batch using T.code MSC1N with proper date of manuf. and SLED.
    5. Create Batch Search Strategy using T.code VCH1 with proper strategy type.
    6. Maintain stock with active batch. check this with t.code LS26 or LS24.
    regards

  • SCCM Client Installation - Options for "Retry" Setting

    Hey Guys -
    I've got a fairly straightforward question for you.  When the SCCM Client is installed / deployed to a system, successfully downloads locally, but fails, it retries installation by default every 30 minutes.  When creating an Orchestrator runbook
    for Client Health, I'm needing ccmsetup to try only once.
    So basically, I'm trying to find out how to make ccmsetup.exe not retry installation and simply fail.  There is a "Retry" command line switch for ccmsetup (/retry:<Minutes>) where
    minutes may be specified, however, this does not pertain to the actual installation, but the initial download of the setup files.  It does not have an affect on the client installation, itself.
    Yes, a simple script could be created which could kill the process after X, but prefer a native (or at least better) solution.
    Any ideas?  Thanks!
    Ben K.

    Hey - Thanks for the reply...
    I totally understand what you are saying - but - the only reason I thought I'd ask is because it's being used in an Orchestrator Runbook as mentioned and processes which run after it won't start until it completes.  When it loops, it never completes.
    Basically, yes - I understand what you are saying and have done it 100 times, but in this case was wondering if there was a more "supported" method by chance.
    Thanks -
    Ben K.

  • Sccm client 2012 not uninstalling from cmd window

    One of the client computer in my organization having software deployment issue, so i would go for sccm client reinstallation. i have used command prompt to uninstall the client as below.
    ccmsetup.exe /uninstall. i don't see any progress in un installation. checked ccmsetup.log log file under C:\windows\ccmsetup folder. but there is no update.
    May I know how to uninstall the sccm client.

    No. It is not running . I don't see ccmsetup running.. and I don't see configuration manager icon in the control panel, and sms agent host services not showing in the services.msc.
    If i try to install ccmsetup.exe , there is no update in the ccmsetup.log file. .
    Restarted WMI services but no update.
    Maybe I'm missing the obvious but if you don't see the service and the icon, isn't that a good thing? Aka isn't that exactly what you want?

  • B1 SHR Folder Client Installation not Working

    Hi,
    Today when installing SAP B1 8.8 client onto end users machines I came across the error below when trying to install the client from the B1_SHR folder.
    *"Error Reading Setup Initialization File"*
    From what I have read this means that the Client Installation file is corrupted and no longer working.  I need to finish installation of the client onto end users machines.
    How can I install the client without the client.exe from the B1_SHR?

    Hi,
    Unfortunately, you do not have option to install the client without the client.exe from the B1_SHR.
    You have to find a working version. This file need to have valid backup at all time.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • SCCM Client installation to only Online machines from All Systems Device collection through Client Push

    Hi,
    How can we create a device collection based on only online machines , than use that collection to install the sccm client through client push method.
    Shailendra Dev

    You can run a ping report and then create a collection from only the online machines:
    Ping Report Script (Put the machine list in "pclist.txt" in the same folder):
    Const ForReading = 1
    Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
    Set objShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
    If not objFSO.FileExists("Pclist.txt") THEN
    wscript.echo "File not found,"&_
    vbcrlf&"with a hard return at the end of each line."
    wscript.quit
    end if
    tempobj="temp.txt"
    Set objTextFile = objFSO.OpenTextFile("Pclist.txt", ForReading)
    logfile="results.csv"
    Set ofile=objFSO.CreateTextFile(logfile,True)
    strText = objTextFile.ReadAll
    objTextFile.Close
    wscript.echo "Ping starting"
    ofile.WriteLine ","&"Ping Report -- Date: " & Now() & vbCrLf
    arrComputers = Split(strText, vbCrLF)
    for each item in arrcomputers
    objShell.Run "cmd /c ping -n 1 -w 1200 " & item & " >temp.txt", 0, True
    Set tempfile = objFSO.OpenTextFile(tempobj,ForReading)
    Do Until tempfile.AtEndOfStream
    temp=tempfile.readall
      striploc = InStr(temp,"[")
            If striploc=0 Then
                strip=""
            Else
                strip=Mid(temp,striploc,16)
                strip=Replace(strip,"[","")
                strip=Replace(strip,"]","")
                strip=Replace(strip,"w"," ")
                strip=Replace(strip," ","")
            End If
            If InStr(temp, "Reply from") Then
                 ofile.writeline item & ","&strip&","&"Online."
            ElseIf InStr(temp, "Request timed out.") Then
                 ofile.writeline item &","&strip&","&"No response (Offline)."
            ELSEIf InStr(temp, "try again") Then
                 ofile.writeline item & ","&strip&","&"Unknown host (no DNS entry)."
    End If
    Loop
    Next
    tempfile.close
    objfso.deletefile(tempobj)
    ofile.writeline
    ofile.writeline ","&"Ping complete "&now()
    wscript.echo "completed."
    objShell.Run("""C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\excel.exe """&logfile)

  • Roaming SCCM Client is not receiving policies from its Default MP

    Hi
    We have come across situation where a roaming client is unable to receive policies when the client moves from one primary site to another.
    As per this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb633252.aspx   it should ideally receive policies from its default MP, which is not happening.
    the same client is able to receive the policies when we manually assign the new site code.
    Scenario with Example:
    Client is from site PS1 and default MP is "Server1"
    when the same client travels to another primary site(PS2), it should ideally contact its default management for policies and contact resident MP for content info, this is not happening.
    for the same client when manually change the site code to PS2, the client is able to download policies.
    Question: why the roaming client is unable to download policies from it default MP..?
    Please Advise.
    Thanks.

  • My SCCM Client does not show all the tabs in the Config manager control pannel

    Hi All,

    I reinstalled the client via push from the console during the re installation i got the below errors as per the below screenshot.
    Can any one tell me why is this issue happening.
    I get all the options in my SCCM DP / Site server control panel but not in the client.
    I got the DP role re installed, As well as well as checked the DNS. Iam able to ping from my client machine to the Site server / DP via ip as well as FQDN.
    Can any one please help?

    Got the solution.
    1. Reconfigure the boundary and boundary groups and rebooted the SCCM DP / Site server.
    2. Turn firewall off in the client and uninstall the SCCM setup in the client and Rebooted the client and re install the client via push method from console
    3. Turned off the UAC in the client machine.
    Now i am able to get all the tabs s well as Console shows the server as a client.

    hi kamala
    I check cas.log and datatransferservices.log and execmgr.log........as the package is sucessfully downloaded to DPs, which i matched with source folder and DP smspkgZ$ package size is same but , i am having doubt that
    package is downloading in client which you can check in cas.log with package ID C000121C entry
    but when im checking execmgr.log it show it is waiting for this particular package content
    but i hecked the dataTransferservices.log it shows every folder of package is downloaded.
    now is it possible that client computer is not abale to download complete package from dp to client computer
    will program run from DP work in this scenario ,because in our environment we are only downloading from DP then running the program setting is used.
    thanks in advance.
