Automatic Scheduling of Transports

Hi,
Is there a way in NWDI for automating the released transports from DEV to QA on a schedule?
And also control them from QA to Prod?

  • Outline agreement or automatic schedule from scheduling agreement

    Plz find the below workflow which will brief u abt the complete process;-
    1.User raises indent(me51n) and then releases(me54n) else as per our MRP, indent/PR gets generated automatically.
    2. Standard Practice is that we invite offers, negotiate and place order (me21n) else f we have rate contract for any item we go for direct ordering (me21n) and then get it released (me29n)
    For around 20-30k material codes we have rate contract finalized with various suppliers for a period of time.
    When we find any indent/pr falling into this category, we dont invite offer but go for ordering as per the finalized price. The price is maintained in excel or pdf format.
    Problem is we want to map material codes with vendor and rates associated with the contract.
    For this either we have to go for outline agreement(me31k) of scheduling agreement(me31l) so that whenever any indent/PR gets generated in this category, order/delivery schedule will be generated automatically in SAP.
    Points in which i need help from you:-
    1. How to generate automatic po from outline agreement or automatic schedule from scheduling agreement.
    2. complete understanding of the difference between outline agreement and scheduling agreement.

    The data contained within the global outline agreement is distributed as purchasing contracts or scheduling agreements to the backend systems of the release-authorized purchasing organizations of the relevant corporate group. These purchasing organizations can then use the purchasing contracts or scheduling agreements according to the terms agreed centrally within the global outline agreement.

  • PO document type for automatic PO is transportation module

    Hi,
    I am generting automatic POs through transportation module. I am able to assign plant, P.org and P. group through transportation planning point for automatic PO but it is always creating PO of NB type. Is there any configuration where I can change the PO type for automatic POs in transportation?

  • Automatic scheduling of Cproject

    Hi All,
    We have changed the plan finish date of an item from 31.12.2011 to 31.12.2012. Corresponding Cproject project definition is in Released status. As a part of synchronization the dates on the Cproject project definition changes to 31.12.2012. But the dates are not copied to the lower hierarchy i.e. tasks. We have only tasks under PD. 
    System message is u2013 Can not update scheduling data
    Reason u2013 As the Cproject is in Released status scheduling can not happen automatically. Scheduling should be carried out manually.
    How to enable scheduling automatically when the Cproject project is Released. Business do not want manual scheduling of Cproject project.

    Hi Gaurav,
    There's no standard way to activate the automatic scheduling once the project has been released.
    You will have to enhance standard class CL_PPM_SCHEDULING / method GET_SCHEDULING_FORCE and force the parameter rv_scheduling_force to abap_true.

    Why you want to generate the Scheduling agreement automatically?  What is the requirment? Volume is high?
    As Sridhar mentioned you have no option in standard SAP to create automatic scheduling agreement. But you can create delivery schdule via MRP.
    If you have more volume then go for developing the program with ABAP guys.
    if the requirment is for Cut over only then go for LSMW or BDC options.

    First of all why you want to remove tick of check box of Automatic Scheduling? The purpose of this indicator is to schedule order automatically when it is saved which is desirable.However If you do not maintain the indicator and intend to make a change relevant to scheduling in the order or network, the system gives the order or network a status "Dates not current" (NTUP) when you save.
    As per std practice, automatic schedulling check box is ticked. and it is recommended also.
    Rest is upto you.You can or cant maintain it as per your requirement.

    yes or no depends on what you mean by 'automatically'. There is no function to tell the system now to reverse the postings in a couple of days later.
    But when you are able to identify the doc numbers of the accruals / defferals you can post a mass reverse these explicitly identified doc numbers using F.80 for a later day, maybe of the next month. Why not posting the reversal the moment after posting the accruals / defferals but in the subsequent month?

    Hi guys
    If i confirm an activity the actual date is stored in the activity, this ofcourse can impact the time planning of the project.
    Therefore automatic scheduling is set to ON, but SAP only reschedules the activity itself instead of the entire network although all activities are linked via relations.
    Any idea how to make sure SAP triggers a rescheduling of the network after a confirmation of an activity.
    Note: if you manually change a date in your activity the system sets the system status on the network (NTUP), when you save in this case the entire network is rescheduled.
    But when you change the dates due to a confirmation this status is not set. Strange...
    Any ideas..

    Thanks for your post, but unfortunately...
    The automatic scheduling parameter is already set and it does perform the automatic scheduling if a date is changed in the activity.
    But this not the case when confirming an activity and that is in fact the problem.
    I checked the program in debug mode and it does call a FM to perform a scheduling of the confirmed activity.
    But it should schedule the entire network.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks for the reply.  For the purpose of the screenshots I didn't demonstrate automatic scheduling.  I did however turn it on at the application level (settings), summary task level and individual task level.  Either immediately or after
    a calculate it would ultimately remove the custom formatting either accross the board (If all tasks were set to automatic) or just to the point where the summary task end date is set.
    To your second point.  I don't have a huge amount of experience with bar styles but if we use ms word as an example are bar styles not the equivalent of a font?  With customizations like I've made (you stated above 'individually formatted') something
    like bold or italics for example?  I need to do specific customizations for the stakeholders I will be presenting this to (ie: blue means this, red means that) on a bar by bar level.  That would be weird if ms didn't allow for that no?
    It would be amazing if someone could put together a test.  Create 1 summary task, 2 sub level tasks, set the dates (with both manual and automatic), format the bars with a change (red or whatever) and then see if changing the summary task end date removes
    the formatting on the sub level tasks in the gantt.  I know its a long shot but if someone is bored i'd send them some karma.

  • Automatic Scheduling

    I have removed the check box in the OPU3 for Automatic Scheduling as well as the check box in the OPJU for Automatic dates. However, the default settings for new production orders I luanch, still defaults to having the auto reschedule box checked?
    The only way I can get the box to not be checked as a default, is to remove our production profile, which does not seem to have any setting which controll this?
    Can anyone help we do not want orders to auto reschedule on sheduling relavant changes, but we dispite my efforts I have been unable to disable this feature with removing the production profile.

    If you have maintain scheduling type as Backward then system will ask you to maintain the Basic Finsh Date.
    So my doubt is with your order type.Is it correct one for which you are creating the production order.
    Now if you don't want to do the automatic scheduling and do this one manually then try this.
    For that order type maintain scheduling type as only capacity requirements.After this system will not schedules the order automatically.All the dates you have to maintain manually.There is no scheduling at all.And if you want to schedules the order then change that scheduling type to backward in order itself (not in OPU3) and then press that scheduling tab.

    Reports were running automatically. But now for the last 2 months they haven't and dont know why or what changed. now i have to go to each report and run them manually before they will run.

    Hi dileep, what version of BusinessObjects are you on? If it is XI 3.1, you can right-click on the report to go to its History. From there you can see all the report instances. They should have either "success" or "failed" status. If it is "failed", you can click on it to see the error message.
