Automatic "sent from iphone message"

How do I automatically add the message "sent from iphone" to my messages I send from my iphone (I have the older version - not the new 3G. Thanks.

It is like the "sent from a mobile device so excuse the typos" on the Blackberry, that is the default signature. Since it is sent from your iPhone you are supposed to excuse any typos, and is put there as the default since the statement is truthful as it was in fact sent from an iPhone.
I've never considered it being bragging and don't think most people think you are a "proper idiot". I haven't changed mine mainly because I haven't come up with anything to replace it, and I believe they put the default there so people will notice it and can just edit it.
Maybe I'll change mine to, "Changed to this so edgedatuk won't think me a proper idiot."
Has a ring to it.

  • Reading emails sent from iPhones on Nokia N8 Belle

My phone works well and receives "normal E mails" and attachements.
However E mails sent from iPhones display the header and any attachements, photos or security/copyright message.
My complaint is that the text of the message is missing. Once downloaded there is no option to refresh
or download again. I do not remove messages from the server with the mobiles only with the PC.
When message is fetched by a PC the text is there. It also arrives on my N900.
I could not find mention of this in the discussions.. Thanks in anticipation.. Nokpiks

If you don't want to install what is offered, you can go to SW updates > tap on three horizontal line icon at bottom right of screen > Settings > Auto-check for updates = OFF
You also need to temporarily turn off mobile data and restart to remove the notification.

  • Yahoo mail sent from iPhone 4 that I did not send

There have been two messages that show they were sent from my iPhone yahoo account (set up in the regular mailbox, not another application for email) that are links. Other than the link, it only says it is sent from iPhone. The message is not shown in my sent mail (like all other messages I send), and it gets sent to a few random recipients from my contact list (not the entire list).
Is this a virus? Would it be coming from some application I have on the phone? Please help! I don't want to have my phone sending people random links!
    Thank you

The problem is with your email provider. I suspect someone has hacked your account because  you use the same password for most of your online work. You should change your password and not use the same password for most of your on-line accounts, most  people are lazy and don't use different passwords because they can't remember them all. You should begin changing your passwords and using a password management tool to help you remember. If you need help choosing one Google "OS X Password Managers" to find some reviews.

MS exchange account on my iPhone and iPad doesn't capture sent mail when sent from iPhone or iPad! Everyting else seems to work fine. Can someone pleasse help?

iPhone and iPad use a different way of accessing the server.
I don't know the exact details, but we are using Zarafa instead of Exchange and have the same problem:
iPhone and the likes can connect to Zarafas z-push interface, which is some identical interface to the native Exchange interface, while the desktop e-mail application tries to interface with the web front end (via http) of the server.
These are completely different setups and it depends on the actual installation of the server to get this going.
So, you will most likely need different access parameters for the desktop - and the web mail feature has to be enabled on the Exchange server.
In my opinion using the web mail interface is just silly. On the other hand, the native protocol has less features comparedto the web front end, so you are somehow stuck with sins of the past.
    Good luck!

  • Bug with Cyrillic-UTF-8 encoding in Outlook messages sent from iphone

Some time, during replay or forwarding mails, written in Cyrillic form iPhone3GS (iOS 4.0), iPhone send a format of the message UTF-8 and did not field the charset field.
In such case most of the windows client(Outlook, The BAT, Firefox) cannot recognize the message encoding automatically. Advanced clients have to use manual setting of the encoding.
In older iOS in iPhone2G i have't met such problem

  • How NOT to save iCloud Mail messages sent from iPhone?

Using iCloud Mail on a MacBook / Safari, e-mail messages are NOT saved - the relevant box in Preferences is unchecked. However they are saved in the Sent folder when sent from an iPhone. Is there any way they are NOT saved either way?

Again, ON MY IPHONE only has Sent option. There's no way you can set the Sent mailbox to any Trash anywhere.

  • Bug with Cyrillic encoding in Outlook messages forwarded/sent from iphone/ipad

When forwarding mail that is written in Russian from iPhone or iPad using mail.app, the message turns to unreadable and the recipient needs to change the encoding manualy(if he/she knows how).
The only solution is to use a third-party app, such as ibis mail. Or if you prefer to use the mail.app by Apple, therefore,  you need:
To add a symbol like "י" letter in hebrew to your signature (you can add a hebrew keyboard in iOS for this and uninstall it when you are done) and that's it.all your messages that you write or forward from iPad/iPhone will be decoded correctly on any mail client the recipient has.

If the user prefers something other than Hebrew, I think the same result can be had by adding a dingbat.  These can easily be found in an app like Unicode Map.  ✈✌✩❄➳

  • Emails are not being received if sent from iPhone or iPad, but MBA OK

I've used my iPhone and iPad a lot to send messages to various email addresses at a specific company.  They've always gone through without problem, but suddenly they're not coming through.  They aren't in the SPAM folder and haven't been quarantined either.  Messages sent from my MacBook Air go through successfully.
It doesn't matter which email account I send the message through, what the content is, or who I send it to.  No one else is having problems sending emails from their iPhones or iPads.
Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!

No longer a problem.  The emails I sent finally showed up.

  • Mail on Mac Pro not downloading mail sent from iPhone

    Hi.
I have a gmail account set up on my Mac Pro and have just added the same account to my 3G iPhone. It all works fine except any mail I send from the iPhone doesn't appear on the Mac Pro. In Safari everything shows up on gmail. A copy of the mail sent from the iPhone even ends up in the sent mail folder, but nothing on the Mac Pro.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

  • Email sent from iPhone appears in Sent Items days later

On our Mac clients we use Entourage 2008 SP2 which connects to Exchange 2003 SP2 running on Window Server 2003.
So we're very pleased our iPhone 3Gs with 3.1.1 work as well as they do with ActiveSync email to Exchange. (Well done Apple.)
However, we have noticed that some emails sent from the iPhone appear in Entourage's (and OWA's) Sent Items folder days later than when the message was sent.
    Also, the Subject is BLANK.
This is not good as we are contemplating moving from BlackBerry to iPhone for our client servicing teams who need to have an accurate record on on-the-hoof communications.
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    C.

IPhone OS 3.0 did not identify itself properly to Exchange 2007 on any iPhone. With iPhone OS 3.1, all iPhones identify themselves properly to the server, essentially fixing a glitch in the previous operating system. However, now iPhone and iPhone 3G users that upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1 won't be able to login to Exchange 2007 servers that require hardware encryption. The new iPhone 3GS, you won't notice any change. Apple's newest phone is equipped with hardware encryption, so it will meet the requirements of the Exchange server when identifying itself. If you've already upgraded your phones to iPhone OS 3.1 on an iPhone or iPhone 3G and connect to an Exchange 2007 server, you have to turn off the hardware encryption requirement for those devices. So, if you decide you have to have hardware encryption, then you'll need to upgrade all phones to 3gs.
