Automatic STO printing when saving

Hi SAP gurus,
We have automatic PO rinting done when we save the PO. How can we replicate the same thing when a STO is saved? Cna anybody help me with that?

Hi Anusha,
STO printing can be done by maintaining these settings.
1. Maintain condition records for the output type with STO doc type key combination.
2. Manintain the despatch time (Column - 6) as 4 i.e. Send immediately (when saving the application)

Is there a way to reduce the size of a final PDF created for print when saving in any software (especially illustrator)? I don't want any quality to decrease at the same time. Thanks!

Personally I would avoid optimizing the PDF's via Adobe Acrobat Pro unless you understand what you are removing from the PDF; having said that, it is the most effective way to reduce the file-size in the right hands.
If I am sending out layouts for commercial print I change my default Print / Export setting from Standard to PDF/A-1b:2005 (CMYK). This will resolve a lot of common print problems for print-ready documents and it should embed your fonts and flatten transparencies etc.
If your document is still too large you run an Audit Space Usage using Adobe Acrobat Pro. In the left pane enable 'Content' and then hit the button in the top left corner of the Content Pane and choose Audit Space Usage.

Automatic PO printing when new and manual when change

where and how can i determine the settings for automatic output message of PO when created but only on request (manual) when the PO is changed?

Reason could be
a) print operation 2 might be maintianed for your message type . 2 means when PO changed ,it can also get printed.
solution:
Remove this indicator 2 for your message type. Then iyou cant output when you cahnge the PO.
menu path:
OLME -- >messages -- >output control -->message types -->Define message type PO -->Fine tuned control PO

"error while printing" when saving

A really odd thing started happening today: when I hit Apple + S to save a document, it first pops up the save progress box, but after a few seconds a 2nd box appears with a mesage saying "Print. error while printing."
I'm just trying to save, not to print. Any ideas what's going on?

on the wife's g4 powerbook, added a network-shared printer, attempts to print to it result in:
PMSessionValidatePrintSettings failed (error code = -50)
Invalid PMPrintSettings in print info
this same n-s-p works fine on my g4 powerbook, also 10.4.11...
and i haven't been able to print to this printer from my core duo minimac running 10.6.2:

Automatic inverted colors when saving PDF as JPEG file

Every time I save a pdf as an image file the colors of the image are inverted. I've done this before using Acrobat, but since I've downloaded it onto my new laptop (maybe it's because it's a newer version) it automatically inverts the image colors. How can I avoid this?

How to disable automatic PDF previewing when saving

In a recent update, Illustrator began to preview PDF documents in the default PDF viewer after every save. This interrupts my workflow. Can it be disabled? I can't find a preference option for it. I'm not even sure how to describe it—it functions like InDesign's "View after exporting," except the file isn't being exported. And, out of curiosity, if anyone know why this would be a feature, I'd be curious. Has there been a problem with Illustrator PDFs looking different in Acrobat, Preview, or other PDF viewers/printers?

That does work—I should have thought of that! But I still want to change the default behavior. It seems that the view PDF option was either created or made default in a recent update. I want to set the default to not view—I almost never want to do that. Is that possible? Or do I need to save-as every time I work in an old file?
<curmudgeon> This strikes me as an improvement like "scrubby zoom," which just messes up the workflow for existing users for some marginal benefit to new users. I'm all for new functionality, but not deprecating reliable workflows for minimal or no gain.</curmudgeon>

Is it possible when saving the psd file to have an automatic jpg file saved at the same time?

My work involves preparing images for printing lightboxes and window installations. My clients require to pre-approve the photos before printing.
I usually save my files as psd but since the files are very large in this format I usually save another copy as a jpg file that has a much smaller file size. This makes it possible for me to add these to a presentation and and send them to my client.
Is it possible when saving the psd file to have an automatic jpg file saved at the same time? Or do I still have to do this manually?

If you save the document manually as a PSD file in Phtoshop not from within an Action, Script, Plugin or Droplette. You may be able to write a Photoshop that would do as save as Jpeg, And you should be able trigger its execution by setting up a Script Save event using the Script event manager. When You do a manual save the script should be triggered. I wrote may be able to for I have never tried to write that script or set up a Script Manager Save event. I have only use open events.

"Automatically" restricting Printing & Saving as Documents are scanned

We do alot of scanning and right now the restriction of Printing and Saving our PDF's is done manually at the creation of each PDF after it is scanned. Is there a way that this security setting is automatically added when the document is initially scanned?

I read your post about the scanning issues you're having and I wanted to make my suggestions to you.
Here they are:
Check for Windows Updates and complete them all:
Install Windows updates
Update Adobe:
Open Reader or Acrobat.
Choose Help - Check For Updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
Once installed, restart you computer.
Try to print the PDF again.
Run the Print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

MIGO printing material document when saving.

how enabling automatically the printing of materials document in MIGO when saving ?

The steps are the following:
trx M706 or SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Maintain Output Types, for the Output types WE01, WE02 and WE03;
Default Values: Dispatch Time is 3 or 4 as per reqmt. and Tr medium is 1, Print Parameter is 7;
trx MN21, for output type WE01, WE02, WE03 select Tr Type WE, Print Version 1, 2, 3, maintain Print Item as 1.
For enabling printing when user post a goods receipt is necessary set in trx SU01 for the users the parameter NDR and activate it with an X.
This will set the tick in the field XNAPR in MIGO.
At every logon system will propose the field checked
If the user will remove the tick or will put again the tick during a session system will remember
the last setting.
At the following logon system will propose again the above field checked
System will also remember if user has set in MIGO "GR Note Vers1 or GR Note Vers 2 or GR Note Vers3" for the entire session and furthers logons.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a - Print when Fax is Not Saved

Can I make it so a fax is printed when it's not saved? I know I can set it to print and save every time, but I rely on HP Digital Fax to save paper. If a fax is not saved, either due to a network error or if the computer that it usually saves to is shut off, can the fax just be printed?

, it's nice to meet you. I think I found something that may help with your faxing dilemma. This information was in the User Guide for the Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a; pg 69. Set up backup fax Depending on your preference and security requirements, you can set up the printer to store all the faxes it receives, only the faxes it receives while the printer is in an error condition, or none of the faxes it receives. The following backup fax modes are available:On > The default setting. When Backup fax is On, the printer stores all received faxes in memory. This enables you to reprint up to eight of the most recently printed faxes if they are still saved in memory. NOTE: When printer memory is low, it overwrites the oldest, printed faxes as it receives new faxes. If the memory becomes full of unprinted faxes, the printer stops answering incoming fax calls. NOTE: If you receive a fax that is too large, such as a very detailed color photo, it might not be stored in memory due to memory limitations.
On Error Only > Causes the printer to store faxes in memory only if an error condition exists that prevents the printer from printing the faxes (for example, if the printer runs out of paper). The printer continues to store incoming faxes as long as there is memory available. (If the memory becomes full, the printer stops answering incoming fax calls.) When the error condition is resolved, the faxes stored in memory print automatically, and then they are deleted from memory.
Off > Faxes are never stored in memory. For example, you might want to turn off Backup fax for security purposes. If an error condition occurs that prevents the printer from printing (for example, the printer runs out of paper), the printer stops answering incoming fax calls. NOTE: If backup fax is enabled and you turn the printer off, all faxes stored in memory are deleted, including any unprinted faxes that you might have received while the printer was in an error condition. You must contact the senders to ask them to resend any unprinted faxes. For a list of the faxes you have received, print the Fax Log. The Fax Log is not deleted when the printer is turned off. To set backup fax from the printer control panel 1. Touch (right arrow), and then select Setup.2. Touch Fax Setup, and then select Advanced Fax Setup.3. Touch Backup Fax Reception.4. Touch On, On Error Only, or Off. Reprint received faxes from memoryIf you set the Backup fax mode to On, the received faxes are stored in memory, whether the printer has an error condition or not. For example, you might need to reprint your faxes if you lost the copy of your last printout. To reprint faxes in memory from the printer control panel 1. Make sure you have paper loaded in the main tray.2. Touch (right arrow), and then select Setup.3. Touch Tools or Fax Tools, and then select Reprint Faxes in Memory. The faxes are printed in the reverse order from which they were received with the most recently received fax printed first, and so on.4. Print program is not getting triggered when saving the application

My requirement is when i save the invoice using VF01 the print program should get triggered.
The print program is not getting triggered when saving the application even when i have configured the outtype and have attached the print program.
The setting "send immediately (when saving application)" is also checked.
I need to configure it for VF01 transaction.
The error message displayed was " please maintain output device in master data".

1. Defining Access Sequence(can use existing).
2. Defining Output Condition Type(can use existing). - Assigning the Driver Program and Form in processing routine.
3. Output Determination Procedure
4. Assign Output Procedure to Billing Types

I have PSE13 on my system, Windows 8.1, 64-bit. It was functioning properly after installation and now I get these messages when I go to print: "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available. You need to check your printer settings before printing." and then this statement: "Default printer could not be opened." I have reloaded drivers for both printers and made any upgrades possible. It was working fine before and now all of a sudden, nothing. Would prefer to have old PSE v.12 back, it worked with no problems.
