Automatic transition at end of video?

I would like to have Keynote automatically change to the next slide when a video on the current slide is done playing. Anyone know whether this is possible?
I have tried using the transition delay, but there is some confusing interaction between the delays in the build process and the transition delay, so I have not been able to achieve acceptable results. It would all be much easier if I could just have the transition begin immediately after the video has completed, but I cannot find a way to make this happen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, currently, there's no reliable way to make a slide transition occur just as a movie ends. If the movie is fairly short, it's closer to accurate, but the longer the movie, the wider the variance in timings from play to play.
I'd recommend sending feedback to Apple.

Im trying to create a magic iDVD and I have some difficulty navigating my options. Some of my video's that I'd like to add are very short clips and I'd like view them back to back without having to go back to the main menu everytime after every short video clip. For example: a 1:08 minute video of my daughter's birthday and then a 3 minute video of her bithday...how do I make it so the 1:08 minute video automatically transitions to the 3 minute video without me having to go back to the main menu to manually select the next video?

You can't. But (there's always a but) if you have enough room (i.e. playing time) available in the project you can create a slideshow in iDVD
and add all of the videos to it.
If you do that set the Slide Duration time to anything except Manual or Set to Music. Also do not select an transition.
When you click on the Create Project button in Magic Movie you'll be able to use the "+" button to add the slideshow to the top menu.

Recovery project automatically deleting all audio and video transitions

When Premiere crashes, the recovery project has automatically removed all audio and video transitions. This has happened to one project about 3-4 times.. Has anybody seen this or has a solution?

No ... but I'll just kick in here that it is good to have your auto-save set for not too long a time, and not a bad thing to manually save-as to an incremental every so often. It does mean your last couple few minutes of work need to be re-created, but ... that's nothing compared to losing a LOT of work.

Premiere Elements 13, on Windows 7 64 bit, Problem fading to black at end of video.

With Premiere Elements 13, on Windows 7 64 bit, I am attempting to end a video with a fade to black transition. For whatever reason, it is fading to black then returning. Yes, I have tried it all three ways right, left and in between, but the it keeps fading out then in. And yes the transition is at the very end of the clip.

When I apply the Dip to Black video transition to the last Timeline clip, the Alignment is Left Clip. You have been there and done that.
Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing when the Dip to Black transitions stops on your Timeline?
When I do as you have suggested I see this
Have you expanded the Timeline with the -+ slider above the Timeline and inspect the end of the clip as well as
other track content above or below, do you detect an fragments that might be a factor in what you are seeing?
If you start a new project, do you get the same result?
Could you post a screenshot displaying what you are seeing with the Dip to Black video transition placed at the end
of the last clip on your Timeline (Alignment: Left Clip)?

I am in the process of preparing to test a sample from your brand and model camera in my Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 on Windows 7 64 bit. I will have the results probably tomorrow morning.
For now I just want to put you through the drill that I do for anyone who says he/she is using Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1.
1. Are you working from the 8.0/8.0.1 Update of the program?

2. Do you have the automatic Background Rendering and AutoAnalyzer features turned OFF.
For Background Rendering option. See Edit Menu/Preferences/General.
For AutoAnalyzer option. Click on Organizer in the row below the blue active Organize header in order to open the Elements Organizer. In the Elements Organizer workspace, go to Edit Menu/Preferences/AutoAnalyzer Options and disable all the AutoAnalzyer options. To return to the Premiere Elements workspace from the Elements Organizer workspace, in the Elements Organizer workspace, go to File Menu/Exit.
Is your computer optimized in spite of the fact that you have a high end laptop? I presumed so but always go to verify, no pile ups of preview files, conformed video and audio files et al.
Looking at the properties of your source media, I see:
video compression = MPEG1
audio compression = MPEG-Layer1 (.mp2)
Frame Size = 640 x 480 (4:3)
Pixel Aspect Ratio = 1.0
Frame Rate = 30 progressive frames per second
With properties like those you are sure to get a red line over that content since there is no project preset with that description.
But, your choice of the default NTSC DV Standard would have been mine also.
I am heading to try to get a quick look at the behavior of the sample video here in my Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1.

For "The biggest choir" for a new cover version...
At The end they produced a Song with more than 4500 People joining
The campaign, including some Videos...
Now adapt that campaign for companies Sponsoring a live-event...
And i know The media-Budget of those companies...;-)

Automatic Transitions

I'm having a slight problem with automatic transitions in my projects. iMovie doesn't add a transition between the first two clips for some reason. I can easily add one when I'm done adding clips, but it bothers me that I have to do this and I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

What you are doing, or attempting, is what I need to do. You are a few steps ahead but if I can catch up I try to assist. Critical bit I don't know is how to assign a transition to another slide at the end of a build. How did you do that? How can you set automatic transitions between slides? I felt like I read about it somewhere but cannot find it now.

Automatic transition AFTER QT movie is finished?

I'm showing a 5 minute QT movie on one slide and trying to make it automatically transition to the next slide AFTER the QT movie is finished. How do I do this since the 'delay' only goes up to 60seconds? Thanks.

If I understand this problem correctly, this is what I've done to accomplish the automatic transition after the end of a quicktime movie has played in Keynote 2. First I get info about the movie (command-i) which tells me very accurately the duration of the movie.
Second, after insertion of the movie into a custom frame in the presentation, I go to the inspector and the transition window for the slide and in the lower right hand window set the time of the delay for the transition to the duration time for the movie. By the way, highlight the box and type whatever delay time you require into the box. I've had no problems with this technique, and have set times of over five minutes by typing in the number of seconds required to cover the movie.
Third, choose automatically from the drop down menu for start of transition.
Fourth, play the movie and adjust the time if you are little long or short because of other transitions which may accompany the slide.

Is there a way to automate FI period end closing?
Currently we have transaction recording for OB52, values are changed by macros in Excel and it run in batch input.
It works, but sometimes we have problem with it (eg mistake in Excel).
Is there a way to automate this procedure?
Our release is SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70x200.

With the help of ABAPer we have develop a Zprogram linked to a t.code. So at the start of the month we have schedule to run that t.code as a monthly job. the logic behind the programe is when run ar the start of the month it opens the posting period for the current month it has run & close the pervious month.

Hello I'm new to this forum so I hope someone may be able to help me. I'm trying to add an automatic transition to this Image Gallery that uses and XML data file. I have everything the way I like it, but now I need to have the images and the dynamic text field to rotate like a slide show. Here are some instructions for an example where a door moves down and up to reveal different contents:
1. On Page1 draw a red circle and a green circle
2. Group the circles (I found a bug, this is a work around, so I will explain later)
3. Hide the green circle by toggling the eyeball in the Layers panel
4. Click "Duplicate state". You are now in Page2
5. In Page2, hide the red circle by toggling the eyeball in the Layers panel
6. On Page2 draw a brown square (the door). Make sure the door is big enough to cover both circles
7. Position the door up high above the stage
8. Go to Page1 and toggle the eyeball for the door to make it visible in Page1 as well
You have have two pages. The door is visible and in the same place in both pages. The door is also up above the stage. One circle is visible in page2 and another circle is visible in Page2
9. Select the Page1 > Page2 transition in the Timeline panel
10. Select the door on the stage and click Add Action > Move in the timeline. Do this again so you have two Move bars in the timeline for the door
11. Position the Move bars so one occurs after the other
12. Notice there is a Fade bar for each of the circles since they are fading in/fading out. Drag these bars so that they fade right at the junction between the two move effects
13. Now we need to define how the door moves. Select the first Move bar and change the X, Y values in the properties editor to be x=0, y=600
14. Select the second Move bar and change the values to be x=0, y= -600
15. Create a button that navigates to Page2 when clicked

Note: the bug I found was this. If I did not group the circles then during the animation one of the circles would appear above the door. I logged this bug and it should be fixed in the next beta. I found grouping the circles avoided the problem

Automatic tabbing at end of field in my dynpro

HI,
I want automatic tabbing at end of field for my dynpro field hours_start minutes_start hours_end minutes_end that are only of 2 char in dynpro.
E.g. i write 15102030 i want that automatically the dynpro field is
hours_start = 15
minutes_start = 10
hours_end = 20
minutes_end = 30
How can i move the cursor automatically when one of the field is completely filled?
I don't want set with ALT+F12 -> Option why I don't want change other programs.

for example it can place the cursor in the next field after pressing ENTER, but so it's better to press TAB directly
You're right Max. However, in that case I would go with the ENTER. We can e.g. check in the PBO the length of each field in sequence, with STRLEN, and then set the cursor on the first incomplete field... This way the user only has to press enter to cycle through those fields and will stay on the same field until completely filled.
