Automatic WM transfer order during inspection lot posting to non-WM-sloc

Hi All,
I have a question in regards of automatic creation of WM-transfer orders during QM-inspection lot posting from a WM-storage location to a non-WM-storage location:
- MIGO IM-posting: goods receipt with reference to purchase order to a WM-storage location
=> inspection lot automatically created
=> WM-stock is located on 902 GR area external rcpts / stock category Q
- Inspection lot: enter result and usage decision with posting of inspection lot stock to a non-WM storage location into the blocked stock
A transfer requirement (movement type 311 / destination u201C921 Transferu201D) is created after the inspection lot posting (QA11) but the auto-creation functionality is not possible since the u201CSystem cannot find source storage binu201D.
How can this auto-creation of a transfer order be realized since it is possible to create the transfer order manually via LB11 (entering source u201C902u201D / storage bin u201CPurchase Order no.u201D)?
The system cannot find the storage bin automatically.

I do not understand your scenario , u are saying are posting inspection lot to non WM storage location and again saying system can not find bin automatically.

Please let me know are u using quality interim storage area. If you clear material from quality and want material to go to bin then it should be warehouse managed storage location.

Transfer Order auto create for Posting Change not working

Hello Gurus -
When we release an inspection lot from "Q" status, it creates a posting change notice, and we have it configured to create a TO in the background to the same bin, and auto confirm. The desired and intended result is to take something from "Q" status to unrestricted status, while keeping it in the same bin - and avoiding the user having to deal with the transfer orders. Essentially it is seamless and all in the background, the user just sees that he has changed something from quality status to unrestricted.
It works fine when the entire quantity is selected for the usage decision, but when a partial usage decision is made, the transfer order does not create - and requires processing in LU04 for the posting change.
Why would this work for an entire qty, but not work for a partial qty - and simply require someone to go in to LU04 and hit "create transfer order" - with no additional information?
Any help would be most appreciated. Does it have something to do with a setting of quants?

In case of a usage decision for a partial quantity, it is not possible to create the Transfer Order for the generated posting change notice automatically. This is only possible when the full quantity is released. The same happens if you release a partial quantity and post the rest to blocked stock or scrap. The reason is, there needs to be a user decision, which part of the quantity has to be posted, this is necessary for example when the quantity is distributed in the warehouse over many storage bins. But even if the full quantity is on one storage bin, there is no automatic TO creation. You can see this also in the online
processing (LT05), in case of partial quantities you have to enter the selected quantity in the quant list, for a full posting this is not necessary.

Production Order Qty- Inspection Lot Qty

Hi Guru's,
When an production order is relreased an inspection lot is creaetd with the production Qty. But later when we change Qty for the released Prodction Order the inspection lot Qty is not changes it remains the same as previous Order Qty.
Say for Ex: intial Prod order qty (MTS Scenario) is 200 (production order released). Inspection lot Qty is 200.
Later User changes the Qty to 100. Our problem is the inspection lot qty does not change ramins the same as 200. Can inspection lot qty be changed automically on change of production order qty .
What settings need to change? pls advise

Hi Sankaran,
It is possible if the user not doing any result against existing lot.
Follow the Below step.
Your Existing order Qty = 200 Nos Inspection lot no 300000200.
Now you want change the Qty as 200 to 100.
Before change the qty, first you have to delete the Inspection lot Go to CO02 -> Got to menu Functions -> Inspection lot -> Delete.
Now change the Qty 100.
And Again go to Functions -> Inspection Lot -> Create. and save the order.
Now system will delete the Old indpection lot and create the new inspection lot.
Qty : 100 Inspection Lot 300000201.
Revert further clarification.

QM-Inspection Lot Posting tab not found in QA32 -UD

Dear All,
I am not getting the Inspection Lot posting Tab in the QA 32 Usage Decision for the Inspection type -01.
various steps are as follows,
1. I raise the PO for the material, and release it.
2. received the material by MIGO against that PO.
3. I got the lot in QA 32.
4. I did Result recording, without any error.
5. In UD i accept the Lot.
6. But Now I am not getting the Inspection Lot posting Tab at UD screen.
How can , i Post the Lot .

Hi Neeraj!!!
May be this can help you out. You please do the procedure as follows-
1) You get Worklist for inspection lots by QA32.
2) You plz select a single lot, go on inspection lot, inspection specification tab, press "task list specs". It will assign task list to your insp. lot.
3) Press "back" and press "Usage Decision", accept the lot in "UD code" box and give quantity in "inspe.lot stock".
4) Press "Save".
Now you have cleared your lot from Quality, So you wont be able to see this lot in QA32.
If your problem is other than this, kindly quote else....

After transfer order ,system automatically confirmation of transfer order .i need to manual confirmation, I dont want Automatic
transfer order confirmation during PO process.

Check again in OMLX both indicators are removed. If you are still facing the issue then you may need to check any enhancement done for this purpose to override the configuration.
Or check you are using any special Movement indicator to directly putaway the material bypassing the TR & TO. Check WM view 1 for special mvt indicator
Please refer the prerequesiste for the TO confirmation. If you remove the prerequisites it should work fine. But it is not advisable to remove the Confirmation required indicator at storage type level

Standard report to check transfer quantity from inspection lot

Hi All,
Upon good receipts using movement type 101, an inspection lot will be created automatically in the system.
After that, inspection results and usage decision will be done.
So at the end, if I display that particular inspection lot using QA03, in the "Insp. lot quantities" tab, when I click at button "Mat. doc", I will be able to display the transfer material document stating transfer from which storage location to which storage location and how much is the quantity.
For reports checking purpose, I need to check every Inspection lot created and then have to know the final destination and how much is the quantity. It doesn't make sense if I have to click one by one from QA03.
Please advice whether there is a standard report for this or any other way possible.

I have checked your suggestion, but QA33 failed to accomodate my request.
I want to show the material documents created from the inspection instead of the material document during good receipt.
So, I want to link inspection lot, goods transfer material document created and the quantity transfered from the inspection.

Error During inspection lot creation

Hi Experts
While i am doing GR against production order, i am getting the error "Operation QM12 not available for this lot".
Inspection type 04 is activated for this material and this error is coming during the inspection lot generation.
I am not able to post the GR and not able to create inspection lot.
Please help me to come out of this error.

When i removed the tick mark on the below options in Inspection type "04", the previous error message has gone.
Now i am getting different error message, plz see the below details of error message:
No status object is available for INL 0
Message no. BS001
Diagnosis
When trying to read the status of an object (INL 0), a system error occurred: For object number TM0000000001QL there is no status object.
Procedure

Material to Material Transfer and 08 Inspection Lots

Gang,
I need major help.
I have a situation where I want to do a Movement type 309 Material to Material Transfer. I have 08 Type Inspection set up on the Material. In this case I DO NOT want the Stock going into Quality. I just want it to go to Unrestricted to Unrestricted.
In config. I deactivated the QM Active for 309 Movement under Inspection for Goods Movement. That did not seem to work.
Any Ideas??

1) Remove 'QM deactivation' of movement type '309' in customizing.
It means the inspection activation for movement type '309'.
2) Create material master-QM view and inspection setup with inspection type '08'.
When you create the inspection setup data in QM view, you should remove the indicator 'Post to insp. stock'.
3) When material document with movement type '309' occur, an inspection lot is created and stock is transfered to unrestriced stock.

Reverse a Return Delivery with inspection lot posted (QM)

Hello experts,
I want to reverse with transaction VL09 a good movement of a return client delivery with inspection lot. I posted the inspection lot and transferred the material to Unrestricted use (transaction QA11).
Then I began the cancel Return Process and I transferred the material to Quality (movement type 322) to run VL09 with material in Quality stock, but the system displays the following error message:
You cannot cancel GR, since inspection lot is already partly posted
Message no. QA046
Diagnosis
You are attempting to reverse a goods receipt although quantity postings have already been made from the inspection lot. This means that stock for the goods receipt has already been transferred and, for this reason, a cancelation of the document is no longer possible.
Procedure
Ensure that the postings in QM (within the usage decision transactions) are carried out.
Please let me know what can I do to reverse the return delivery.

You are trying to do the process which you ahve already transferred through Transaction QA11.
The role of Cancel return Process has already been done by this transaction as the Stock has already been into Un- restricted.

INSPECTION LOT POSTING

Hi Gurus,
For some material Type, When i record results & do UD, in QA32 i am unable to post the stock in unrestricted use or any category as i am not getting a<b> tab of</b> <b>Inspection lot Stock</b> thr. which i can post the stock.
I am unable to view stock of these materials in MMBE but these materials are purchased n are spare part materials.
In Material Master QM view is also maintained properly.
Suggestion required.Points will be rewarded.

For Inspection Lot Type nos - 04,01,05,08 are stock relevant,where in QA32,while
doing the usage decision ,you will be able to see the tab page for Inspection Lot
Stock.
For Inspection Lot types - 12,13,06,03 & all manually created inspection lots are
for Result & Documentation purpose,i.e they are non-stock relevant.

Shipping Output Type WMTA for automatic WM Transfer Order

I have a situation.
Regular stock. Sales order, Delivery automatically created, Green light for the WMTA output type, but no TO. (Extras / Delivery output /Header)
In my opion a green light here means my conditon was set up properly, and a Transfer Order should have been created.
Anyone with more specific details for the condition maybe?

If your Plant is assigned to Ware house, Yes in this case, Picking will be done through Transfer Order.
yes if the output is showing the Green light means your condition is correct.other wise it will show the Red light for Error and some times Yellow Light for Incompletion.

"Closing" Unused, but Released Orders with Inspection Lots

We have Process Orders which have been released, but been unused. When We come to Financially Close them we have problems as the Inspection lot is still on without a UD
Is there a way we can mass process UD of Inspection Lots (or deletion of IL) with Nothing Produced on the Order?

hi,
if you the process orders, make a list of those. now in qa16, you can do the mass UD. in that transaction, you can find out an option called " dynamic selection". if you expand that option, you will have an option called " production"; under that order. So you can put all those process orders and with the lot oringin 03, you will ge tp know the concerned inspection lots. then you do mass ud. this was your requirement.
