Automatically Attaching (Or Inserting) Selected Photos Into Email Message

I recently upgraded from Photoshop Elements 3.0 to Photoshop CS2 and the one feature that I can't seem to find in Photoshop CS2 is an automated method for resizing photos and automatically attaching or inserting the photos into an email message. Elements 3.0 has a feature that allows you to select the photos you would like to send in Photoshop Organizer and then select a menu option that will resize the images for emailing and automatically attached the photos to new email message or insert the photos into the body of the message with a user selectable frame around each message.
Although I still have Photoshop Elements 3.0 installed, I'd prefer to work in Photoshop CS2 as much as possible but I can't seem to find any similar feature either in Adobe Bridge or in Photoshop. Does anyone know if there's any easy way to automatically email photos from Adobe Bridge/Photoshop CS2 similar to the feature included with Photoshop Elements 3.0?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, there a number of very useful features in Elements that Adobe seems to leave out of CS2 for some unexplained reason. Elements is actually better at a bunch of useful things than CS2 is. That I don't understand.
Anyway, if you want to select several images in Bridge and make image sizes appropriate for email, you can do that. It's not as simple as in Elements, but not that hard either.
Just select the images you want to attach. Select Tools/Photoshop/Image Proccesor from the menus. This will open up Photoshop and bring up a dialog. You can then select a folder location, JPEG as the file type, [X] Resize to Fit and enter a pixel height and width appropriate for email depending upon how big you want the images to be and [X] Convert profile to sRGB and go. It will then makes JPEGs for you of the requested size. You, then finish the process by manually attaching them to an email in your email client.

  • Photos don't show up in media browser when I want to insert a photo into Word

I'm fully updated in Yosemite (10.10.3) on an iMac (recently purchased).  Photos updated just the other day and I chose iCloud for storage.  When I try to insert a photo into my Word document no photos show up in the media sidebar "photos" nor in the media browser on Word.  My photolibrary is visible under "Pictures" in the sidebar, but it is grayed out. How can I link the sidebar "Media =>Photos" or un-gray it on the pictures?

Sounds like more of a question for the Mail experts. Once the file is added to the Mail message it's not really anything to do with iPhoto.

  • Cant Attach Iphoto Photos into Email?

I always was able to simply attach iphoto photos into an email when I wanted to send a photo to somebody.  Id just click Attach..Then my photos would show up..Id choose one and be done.
However, I just opened IPhoto and it said I needed to update something in order to see my photos.
As soon as I did that, I am no longer to see  my photos when I try to attach one to an email.  I select Attack but then I just see "Iphoto" but it doesnt open up to show my events, folders and individual folders.
Does anyone know why or do I have to change some kind of setting?
At first it said to open iphoto but I did that and it still is not showing my photos.
    I am using LION OS

Make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and  apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Inserting photos into emails. Why are they sent vertical instead of horizontal?

Please tell me why photos inserted into emails as hrorizontal are sent/received by recipient as vertical?  How can this be sent/received as constructed?

Sending photos as a PDF defeats the purpose of inserting viewable photos in the body of a mail message.  Any suggestions to make it look as created when sent/received?  Thank you for the discussion.
There is absolutely nothing you can do to in an email that will positively ensure the recipient sees it as you wish.
Since it is an auto-rotation issue, you might try exporting the photos first. That may eliminate the rotation metadata.

  • Can't Drag Photos Into Email

I have '09 and use Entourage as my email client. For some reason when I updated to '09 I can't drag photos into an open email.
Not sure if it's an issue with Entourage or iPhoto, but it did work fine prior to my upgrading.
    Any suggestions??
Also, aside from beginning an email from iPhoto what is the best way to add pictures to an existing (fwd.) or new email not originated from iPhoto??
    Much thanks in advance.

    Any of the Following:
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
    *For Users of 10.5 Only*
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    *For users of 10.4 and 10.5* ...
Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
*If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running*:
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Outlook 2013 - Insert HTML code into email

    Hi there,
A simple question, or so I thought. How can I insert HTML code into an Outlook email?
    Thanks
    Dave

    You can inject HTML code into the message body via the Insert as Text option;
Insert-> (Attach) File-> select the created htm-file-> press the down arrow on the Insert button-> Insert as Text

  • Insert a Photo into form?

    1. We're deciding which version of Adobe to buy...
We have a form that applicants are required to fill out.
I have successfully created this form using Acrobat 9 Pro (trial version on Windows Vista).
Are we able to insert a photo of the applicant onto the form?
And if so, how do I do it?  I need to demonstrate that this works to our board before a purchase is made.
So far I've only done a 'workaround solution' which is to create a button, icon only and insert photo.
    Is there a better way?
    And my last question....
    2.  Which version to buy?  What we need it to do is:
    a. send out the form by email to 22 people per week
    b. have applicants complete several highlighted fields & return the form by email to us along with a photo
    c. we insert their photo on 3 pages if they haven't already done it
    d. we print it out
e..when the applicant arrives for their exam, they are given their exam.  They check off some boxes manually with a pen
    f.  we scan the completed 2 sided form into our computer for storage and retrieval
Do we need Standard or Pro ?
    Thank you very much

    hi!
i just read through the thread but couldn't really follow due to my lack of knowledge of acrobat.
even if i don't know how it seems to be possible to generate a pdf which can be used to attach photos to it with a acrobat reader or any other pdf reader.
it would be great if anyone could explain a bit more in detail how to do this.
my question was if it is also possible to attach any other file to the pdf?
i am a dentist specialising in implantology but unfortunately there is no software which meets the needs for implantologists regarding an exam and diagnosis. everything has to be typed manually in a practice management software which is very expensive and will not be installed on my laptop as i visit the practice just once a week (license too expensive and not useable anyway because server client software).
i would now like to make a .pdf that i can run on every computer with a acrobat reader which alows me to enter everthing i find during my exam.
it would be absolutely awesome if i could also attach clinical photographs, xrays and 3d scan data. there is no need for acrobat to be able to display these data. it just needs to store them in the pdf so i could make the pdf attach al the files and just import it in the software in each practice for each patient.
    thanks for the help!

  • How do I insert a photo into Microsoft Word from the new Photos app?

I have Word for Mac 2011 on my Macbook Pro with Retina and am now unable to simply go in and insert a picture into ANY Microsoft program since the update from iPhoto to Photos. I'm an archaeology grad student in the middle of multiple term projects that require countless Figures, almost all of which come from pics I took in the field that are all in Photos. These projects have to be submitted electronically, thus I cannot simply copy and paste everything into Pages (my professors all use PCs). I've found that I can insert an image into Pages and then copy and paste it to Word, but the quality is severely diminished.
Is there some way to change the settings on the Photos app to allow for image insertion? Or do I need to go in and somehow manually copy and re-save every photo into a separate folder outside of the Photos app?

Select a photo  in Photos. Press COMMAND-C to copy. Go to your document location where you wish the pic to appear and press COMMAND-V.

  • How to NOT embed attached image into email message...

Hi all, I am using nokia E6 anna as my workhorse. One problem I come across is that when I use Nokia Mail (@ovi.com) to send email with photo attachment, the receiver will get the email with that photo embedded into the message, rather than an attachment download option at the end. It causes inconvenience as sometimes I use the phone to send 8MP photo via email and such attached photo "stretches" the message big at the receiver side.
However, if I use mail for exchange with gmail to send photo, everything is OK, the attached photo doesn't embed into the message.
    Thanks for your advice.

    Hi chanchukwan,
    Thanks for the quick response.
Contact your local Care line who will be able to reset your Nokia Messaging account. This will most likely fix the issue if removing and adding the Ovi account hasn't worked. They will also be able to help you out if resetting the account doesn't make a difference.
In regards to the maximum email download size, this option is indeed not included in the E6. When developing an update we will always take the comments on the boards into consideration, so thank you for your feedback.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

  • How do I insert a photo into a pre-designed template?

Help!  I downloaded a 30 day trial of Photoshop to design our Christmas family newsletter. Christmas is over and my trial will expire by the time I figure out how to insert a photo!!! This is not very intuitive and I'm exhausted!  Can someone please walk me through step by step?  Thank you!!!

We don't know what your template looks like and how it is structured, so nobody can advise specifically. the rest are reayl PS basics/ fundamentals - copy & paste the image as a layer or drag & drop it into the other document.

  • Inserting my photos into Word document

I am putting together a document of my family history and want to insert some photos I've taken into it. But the photos are each about 2.2MB - 2.9 MB and when I copied & pasted the photos into the Word doc the Word doc ended up at 124MB! W/out these photos the Word doc is 11MB!
These are photos I've taken and are in my iPhoto. I've inserted other photos for which I don't have the original so I've scanned these and then inserted into the doc - they are much smaller and range from 24KB to 264KB depending on the size of the original. How do I get around this problem?
    Many thanks

    Terence
Again thanks for yr advice. Having played around with the various options you gave in yr response to my other posting, I think the best method for me inserting my photos in the Word doc is to export to desktop as that way I can alter the size of the file.
By scaling the photo to a smaller size, the file size is much smaller. I found if I just dragged the photo to the desktop and then into my Word doc, then the photo was still about 2.2MB. By scaling it down as it was exported, and then dragging into Word doc it was only 224KB.
Does this approach sound right to you?

  • I need to insert my photo into an external website but it needs to be reduced in file size from 4.4 to 2mb can anyone help..

Hi, I need to insert my photo onto a profile page of an external website.  Trouble is that the jpeg file is 4.4 and it needs to be reduced to 2 mb.  I have tried everything that I can think of but nothing has worked.  I'm not very computer confident, so if anyone can support me on this, I'd welcome the help.

Open the photo in the Preview application and click Save As... in the File menu. Its size will be indicated near the bottom of the resulting dialog box. Move the quality slider until the size you need appears, name the new file and select the location where you want to save it, and click the Save button.

  • Still trying to insert my photo into Avery template

Thank you I was able to turn the background to white.  However I am still trying to figure out how to insert my image into this template so I can then have photoshop manage the color and print it with my Epson 3800 printer.  When I click on the template it says could not complete your request because more than one layer is selected.  This what Avery sent in the download.  Do I have to do this in layers?  I just want to insert the phot and print my images on the postcard templates I bought from Avery.  Anyone get what i am asking?
    Thanks,

    Andrea,
It is very poor netiquette to start a duplicate thread for the same issue you're discussing elsewhere:

It causes confusion and wastes time and efforts of other users.
No, your question is not clear because you have given us almost no information and have not provided pertinent screen shots.  The terminology in the description of your problem is far from clear.
